My wife and I went up for a getaway during July 4th week and we can't say enough great things about this place. Note that my rating rooms a "4" is only because some might view some of the decor and fixtures as dated, but the age of the place for us is part of its charm. I have to say that while that may be true to some extent, there was not a problem with anything and the condition of the rooms, and facilities was immaculate and very well maintained. Yes, you could look at aspects of the property and ask whether or not this area or that area isn't as current as it could be or whatever, but you can tell that everything is in order, the place is very well maintained, and the staff cares a lot about making sure you have an amazing, relaxing time. We loved the fact that there are no phones or TVs in the rooms. Very little if any street or local noise. So peaceful and quiet you easily fall into a nap in the afternoon. The beds, linens etc. were incredibly comfortable. We felt as though we were in a bit of a time warp with the beautiful old church and Vermonts only remaining honor system library across the street. We visited the library and suggest you take a morning or afternoon to visit and relax with a book or local paper there - it was very welcoming and cozy. The quality of the food at the restaurant quite literally blew us away. Easily on par with some of the finest places in Boston or NY. The breakfasts feature amazing selections of fresh made pastries, fruit and other wonderful local selections. The chef prepared a sweet option and a savory option for breakfast each morning (included in the price of the room) and each day the choices and the food were just excellent. When it came to activities, the staff knew the area exceptionally well, and recommended to us an incredibly beautiful and relaxing kayaking river trip through Clyde River Recreation. This is a must if you love the outdoors and want to experience some of the beauty of Vermont. 5 miles and taking roughly 3 hours to complete, this trip takes you through incredibly serene, picturesque country that amazes at every turn. The order of the day for us was breakfast, have an outdoor activity planned, back by 3:00/3:30 to read/nap, then an incredible dinner. Such a relaxing, rejuvenating experience. The staff is excellent, the property unique, charming and cozy. Almost transports you back to a simpler time, and relaxes the soul. We will be back!

We went here because a common ancestor built it. It was great meeting a "cousin", especially one so into the history of the tavern and town. He opened up for us, gave us a tour, and drinks. Hey Tyler!

Little hidden gem in Delhi. The owner’s son, Yusef, is a hard worker, helpful, and was proud to work there and talk about his family’s restaurant . Gyros were delicious, my son loved the GG balls. Eve
