Best King Cake in New Orleans! This is the Slidell site.

Great flavor, the reason for only four stars is the king cake was doughy. It was either under cooked or wasn't allowed to rise properly.

King Cakes are the best! I couldn't help but order several! This place was packed, though, and I had to get there when they opened to avoid them being sold out.

I like that you can pre-order your King Cake for pick up. Also that they package the King Cakes in a hard plastic covering, less mess!!

It was ok. Waited all year for a “great” king cake. They do not answer phones to let you place an order as they told me to do the day before. Went into a madhouse situation at 8.30am. The parking lot is/was ridiculous. A medium plain is all they had left for $26. It was somewhat dry, barely any cinnamon, but did have plenty icing. This was a unanimous opinion. Wanted a strawberry cream cheese, but lady said we should have been there at 6:30am. Huh? No one told me that on the phone the day before. Was told to call & place order & it would be ready by noon. Not true! I did not like the customer service & the way the procedure was handled at all! This was our first time & was unexpected I guess. It was so busy that they had police detail that early in the morning! Sorry, but not worth all of that & not convenient for some that do not live close. There was only 4 king cakes left when I arrived. So people are driving there hoping to get one or not. But if someone answered the phones, you could let the customer know before making a wasted trip.

We LOVE their King Cake! We actually used their online platform to order ahead and I'm glad we did! When I got there at 11 am to pick up our order they were completely sold out! They are 1000000% the best!

***UPDATE *** Received immediate response from Tricia, customer service at Randazzos. While I explained my goal of the review was to bring awareness to the issue and not for a free product Tricia stated Randazzos always stands behind it's products so we will receive a new kingcake. The customer service was prompt and very helpful. I believe the dry cake was a fluke as we have always had great success from Camilla City Bakery. I appreciate Tricia reaching out and anticipate a delicious kingcake in the future. I am a Slidell native but have moved out of state. Every year for many years my birthday cake has always been a camellia City king cake. We've never had any complaints but this year was different. We ordered a medium traditional king cake to be shipped overnight as we have done for years. The shipping was great but the king cake was not. For the first time ever this king cake was extremely dry and it actually had residual red sprinkles on the king cake. Our thought was it was perhaps Frozen thawed and then had Mardi Gras colors put on the cake before shipping. Not what I expect when you spend almost $70 for a medium king cake. This was a real disappointment to my family as we only get one king cake every year I think we will look to purchase from Manny's next year.

It’s been a while since we have had Randazzo’s but it’s always been known as the best king cakes in town. We went in to get one large king cake for a party but ended up getting two. We got the strawberry and cream cheese filled and the apple filled. It was soft and moist but the flavors were hit or miss depending on what piece you got. About half of the cake had little to no filling. Sorry but when you pay $65 for two king cakes you expect them to be amazing not below average. My advice is ti save your time and money and find a place closer to home.

During Mardi Gras, Season This Place Becomes one of my favorites to go and pick up King Cake as they are fairly priced and the cakes are not too dry, not too moist.

Excellent king cakes. I enjoy the the traditional king cake with the icing over the sugar.

The cake- Taste was good and had potential but it was too dry for me. Stick to Manny Randazzo’s. The service- poor. I ordered online and set pick up for 3pm. The day my order is ready they call me before 11am and say my order is ready for pickup and they’re about to close early. So why even set pickup for 3 if you know you like to close early whenever you sell out? Also, the two ladies in the bakery were really unpleasant. Overall, would not go back. Spend your hard earned dollars elsewhere.

The cakes are ok. They’re not worth the hassle. Also, answer your phone guys, and stop people from wasting their time and gas to to see a sold out sign. I understand you don’t want to answer your phone when you’re busy. But think about what that does.

Wish it had better hours. Would like to get cakes after work for next day. Other than that fantastic king cakes

The best king cakes ever and they come in a plastic container not a bag that sticks to the toppings.

I got this as a mistake. A neighbor of mine we live in Humble, TX had it sent to her from a family member in Louisiana. She shared it with us since we returned her package. Its delicious our first time having a Kings Cake from Louisiana and we loved it!

When I walked into this bakery it smelled awesome! King cakes were stacked all along the sides of the walls up to about 4 ft high. I purchased two king cakes that were filled with pralines and cream cheese as gifts. The recipients absolutely loved the king cakes!!

Due to unforeseen circumstances with the weather, our cakes were delayed. This had nothing to do with Randazzos, the weather is totally out of their control. Their level of customer services towards me has been amazing. I will be back for the 2022 season and beyond. Thank you guys so much!!

First time customer and now a forever customer. I have fallen in love with these king cakes. I also bought a king cake from Haydel's and I will never buy there products again, nor do I recommend them. Buy all your bakery desires from Randazzos's you will not be disappointed!
