I like the food at the Randy's Rib Shack it's really good. I recommend anybody to stop and enjoy the tasty seafood or ribs at Randy's Rib Shack.

Food is of great proportion one plate can feed two people. The price is reasonable also.

They are never open. They have weird hours. And I haven't figured out why I don't ever see anyone dining in or just there.

Used to love this place. Tried to visit about six weeks ago and there was a note saying they would be closed. Came back four weeks and no note but closed again. Nothing on their website, Facebook, yelp or Google. Drive 45 minutes out of our way when a simple update could have been done. Sounds like poor management

I really wish there was something I could do to help yall be open on Thursday and Friday too... yall are hidden in a small corner of Waldo but should be blowing up huge for the whole world to see and know about. We love the food and always look forward to eating here. It's really awesome.

Drove my three kids 45 minutes to eat here. When we got there the person working the window seemed bothered/confused by our arrival? It was 5:30pm and the restaurant doesn’t close until 8pm so I’m not sure why she seemed so shocked. She then said “did you call something in?” To which we replied no. She said “Well, all we have is ribs and some shrimp.” Out of an extensive two page menu, I find it hard to believe they were out of everything else. They didn’t seem to want to help us, and further didn’t seem to want to work.

Stopped for the oysters and they were out. Got the grouper and the shrimp both were yummy

Overcooked and barely edible chicken basket.

Diner Saturday at 6pm, two hours before closing. 1 star / moist pulled pork, hot, 2 star / coleslaw and beans were Good. Down sides 1 price $28.oo for 2 plates 2 two hours before closing on a Saturday and all they had left was pulled pork or cat fish? 3 collard greens had no flavor , Potato salad, was a bit under cooked. 4 Not worth the drive out there, HOWEVER, if your In town, it's way better then fast food.

It's a million degrees out so I was a little skeptical about eating outdoors. I'm so glad we did! Such perfectly cooked fried shrimp basket you can eat the tails!! Sliced brisket sandwich made hubby so happy. Cold beer, water with ice and a slight breeze on a hot day under a shady tree and I loved it. Great service!! Clean tables and bathrooms. We'll be back!!!

Try the beef brisket sandwich. It was really good. Great little roadside BBQ joint reminiscent of old Florida.

Randy's is everything you should expect out of a barbecue shack on the side of an active highway. The brisket was tender and juicy on some delicious Texas toast. The okra was freshly fried with no stem. Hush puppies were crunchy and delicious. Absolutely love this place.

The Family Rib Dinner was enough food to feed 4 hungry cyclists from Gainesville! Their fried okra was so good and the hush puppies were GREAT!!! Great price and lot of food!! We will definitely be back!!!

I was impressed. I got the bbq salad. The meat was so tender and flavorful, the iceberg lettuce was nice and crisp, had a delicious ranch dressing. The beers were limited, only a few to choose, but they were ice cold. Server was friendly.

My pulled pork, sandwich bread, and fries were delicious. However, one of my friends had very dried shrimp. Prices were decent. Another friend described the brisket as just ok and that it needed to be chopped. Many menu items weren't available. Service was slow, but our server was very kind and polite. I'm glad I tried it after driving past it so often, but I don't know that I'll be back.

Randomly stopped there on a road trip only to find how much we really have to be grateful for. Stopped here dispute the mixed reviews on our way back to Jacksonville from Gainesville. It looks so cute from the road, there were a few others eating outside so we decided to give it a try. The family who runs it is so nice I wanted the experience to be great. We ordered the ribs that some others had raved about in reviews. Our ribs were fatty, tough and definitely not smoked or grilled. They had to of been boiled. The color, the texture, everything was off. We ended up leaving our plates of uneaten food, paid our bill and left. Basically it was a $55 donation to the nice family who is trying hard to make a living. Hopefully they will light up the smoked, cook bbq the correct way and get their business rolling. Best of luck but we won’t be back.

Call first. I didn’t and went by the hours listed online and on the side of the building. Both are wrong and it’s not open on Fridays. Saturday’s and Sunday’s only. Wish I’d have known before I went way out of my way, since my husband said the food is excellent. Very limited schedule and no communication about it.

We have been here twice while visiting the area. Both times we were completely satisfied with the good and the service. The ribs and brisket were the highlight!

If you are not going to be open please correct your signs, voicemail and other web info. Very frustrating to plan dinner out with the limited options in Waldo to find you not open.

Several of us took advantage of beautiful weather and got together for a ride to lunch. I ordered brisket sandwich with fries and cole slaw. Brisket was good, with lots of fat for flavor...a little too much (too much and my stomach protests). I trimmed some of the fat off and there was still more than enough good meat for a hearty sandwich. Fries were great, as was the Cole slaw. One ordered fried fish plate (not sure what fish). His comment was "these guys know how to fry fish, crispy on the outside and not dry on the inside". He really enjoyed it. All the others also enjoyed the lunch. Cost was reasonable for the amount and quality of the food. We'll probably be back.

This is mostly a carryout or eat outside sort of place located right on a very busy highway. Although the service is a little slow, the food is good and reasonably priced. Give it a try.

Stopped for the brisket and found it to be more like roast beef. We had two great tasting sandwiches with fries and drinks. We were disappointed that it wasn’t the kind of brisket we expected but it was tender and tasty.

My friend and I ate lunch at Randy's today. Each of our meals came with our choice of two sides. My friend had a shredded pork sandwich with fries and coleslaw. He said his was very good. I had a rib dinner- 4 well seasoned, meaty and tender ribs. The garlic bread was very good. I couldn't resist making a rib sandwich out of it. My chosen sides were the coleslaw and cucumber salad. The slaw was crunchy, but lacked anything in it to add any variety of color or texture. It was finely diced light colored cabbage, no carrots, no purple or dark green cabbage. The cucumber salad was a bowl of what appeared to be Bread and Butter pickles. I was a little disappointed in it.If i had known I was ordering pickles, I would have made a different choice. Next visit, I will make different choices from their ample list of side dishes. The portions that we received were so generous that we both brought food home, The outdoor seating was comfortable and actually added to our enjoyment of our meals. All 8 tables filled up while we were there. The food that was being delivered to other tables all looked very good. Our server was amazing! I didn't catch her name, but she has blonde hair. She was responsible for single-handedly taking orders, clearing tables, delivering food and she even rang us up when it time to pay our bill. She should have had some help! Despite her workload, she was extremely pleasant, friendly and personable. She proved to be very knowledgeable about the menu. The menu's choices are impressive and surprisingly large for a small restaurant. We'll be back for sure. We'll recommend Randy's to family and friends as well.

Unexpected excellence! Such a neat and clean and charming spot. I have tried their ribs, pulled pork, frog legs, shrimp and cole slaw. You cannot go wrong. I am going back for the gator tail and fried green tomatoes. Randy is very, very particular and the place and food reflect it.

It is a shack. Eat against a wall inside or on picnic tables outside, but don't let it fool you. Food was good, service was good, and I have nothing but compliments. Shrimp were perfectly fried. Lightly battered unlike many places where you only taste batter. The scallops and oysters were great too. The beer prices were cheap! We were staying at the Best Western in Waldo and gave this place a shot. Glad we did. I recommend, just don't expect more than what it is. For good food, it is awesome!

Though the management isn't very customer friendly yet the wait staff makes up for their lack of decorum. Considering that this a roadside hole in the wall restaurant, the food is actually decent and well worth the price.
