I've been ordering from Red Sambusas for close to 10 years now -- sometimes for large parties but often I'll order several dozen just for my family to nibble on during the week. They are just deliscious and delivered to my home warm and perfectly packaged and labeled. You can't meet a nicer man than Mohamed so it's a treat when he's there to deliver the sambusas. Highly, highly recommend!!

RED Sambusas provided us with amazing and delicious catering for an important school event celebrarating students and faculty of color. To start, ordering food with RED was easy, within our budget, staff made sure our needs were met. The taste: simply amazing! We loved all the Sambusa snack as well as the platters. The iced tea was also a big hit! I definitely recommend, good food, friendly service and DELIVERY which saves time and stress.

RED Sambusas is often the highlight of my week at the UCSD Farmer’s Market! The sambusas are so flavorful and always are nice, and hot when you get them… but still taste as good hours later! You will always be greeted with warmth and a smile from Mohammed. Always stellar customer service and much needed kindness on UCSD’s campus!

Red's has always come through with quality food and fair prices. While their location is over half-an-hour drive from my place of work, they always charge me the same delivery fee and follow up with great and kind communication when they arrive. Their sambusa are *chef's kiss* and I literally have to stop myself from eating too many so that everyone else I work with and my guests have some too. They are consistantly top of my mind when I need to cater to large crowds because they always please my guests! Do yourself and order the potato and lentil sambusas, they are always a hit!

RED Sambusas has amazing food and awesome people! I used to religiously visit their stand every Wed at the UCSD Farmer's market before it closed down during COVID, and since then I've ordered catering from them for my birthday, thesis defense, and graduation. Mohamed is great! All the sambusas are very tasty, but the coconut cream sambusa is my favorite and I was really glad I tried ordering the vegetarian marinara pasta this time - the flavor is so complex and delicious. I always make sure to order more catering food than I know my friends will eat so I will have leftovers all to myself when the party is over :D

I am -Completely- obsessed with their sambusas!! I haven’t found a more delicious snack in my life. I used to have the pleasure of getting RED’s sambusas every Tuesday (yes, -every- Tuesday) without fail at UCSD when they were able to serve them in the pop up shop in the center of campus. I graduated years ago but still order them via delivery because I can’t get enough. Mohamed used to take our order every Tuesday and he’s personally delivered every order I’ve placed via delivery since I graduated. He’s beyond kind and accommodating. Highly recommend them (and have to every one of my friends and family). You will not regret ordering 150 of them. I order some “ready to eat” and a bunch of the “make at home” ones to keep in the freezer so I can have them whenever I want. Amazing. Comes with cooking instructions. Great in the air frier or if you don’t have one, the toaster oven is great too. Every flavor is delicious but my favorites are the chicken, beef, and coconut. And spinach. And the potato one. And can’t forget about the lentil. What are you waiting for, order some! You’re life will be better from here on out.

Mohammad was so nice to drop off my order earlier! He does not do pick-up but wondered why I had asked. The ETA delivery was 6-6:30pm, but I was hoping to get it earlier if pick up was an option. He said that he can try to make it by 6pm, but he came by around 5pm, on a holiday no less! He even added some extras, so that’s a plus. I’ve ordered a few times for college events and was never let down by the quality and service. Looking forward to order more in the future.

The sambusas are absolutely amazing! I have had this kind of food in several countries around the world and these are by far my favorite. Each flavor is fantastic but my all-time favorite is the coconut pineapple. The service at RED is top-notch and always comes with a smile and positive attitude. This is my favorite vendor at the UCSD farmer's market and I've been going there since I was in college and now as a staff member. I missed them during the pandemic as the UCSD farmer's market has been shut down, but imagine my delight when I found out they deliver! I got various flavors of the cook at home variety, which get hand delivered pre-cooked and frozen, with detailed instructions on how to heat them up. I'm so happy to have these on hand for a quick bite to eat while I work from home, and I'll be ordering again as soon as I run out, because these are sooo delicious! Don't ask me what my favorite flavor is, because it's all of them, including the vegan ones (and I am far from vegan)!

Delicious...... We just found them today at the Temecula farmers market. We picked up some lentil sambusas and potatoes sambusas. Both are Vegan which is awesome. They also have Vegan spinach ones. First off the gentleman working the booth was super friendly and helpful. He took time to ask what method we would be cooking them and offered instructions. We air fried them and they are super flakey. Most importantly is the flavor. The fillings taste amazing. They are seasoned to perfection. We ate 18 of them like they were our last meal. Now I just need to figure out how to get them sent to Las Vegas.

The absolute best nicest food and guys!! I’ve been having their sambusas at the Temecula farmer’s market for years and my whole family is in love with them and their food. I was absolutely heartbroken when COVID forced them to stop coming to the farmer’s market, but thank goodness they’ve started selling their sambusas frozen so we can make them at home! The guys are so nice, always recognize us and ask how we’ve been even with the masks & me being at college most of the year. The sambusas are beautiful, crispy, flavorful, and absolutely addicting. I always recommend the minced beef and potato flavors, but they’re all sooo good! They have vegan/vegetarian options as well, lentil for savory and coconut cream for a sweet option. They will absolutely burst in your mouth and are worth every penny. Cannot recommend enough!!

These guys are the best! I get sambusas from them every time I go to the old town Temecula farmers market. Their curry chicken flavor and coconut flavor are my favourite but I know I like each version they offer.

These people are amazing! Their food is incredible and the workers are very friendly. I went to the farmer's market in old town temecula just to see them and get those incredible chicken curry sambusas! I really missed them when I went to college and was so dissapointed when I came back and they were closed for the pandemic. But they're open again!! This was is my second time ordering from Red Sambusas and they continue to amaze. They delivered exactly on time, everything was hot and fresh, and the service was excellent. Every sambusas is bursting with flavor, and each filling is wonderful in its own way. Plenty of vegetarian options that are just as tasty as their meat sambusas (although gotta say the beef ones are still my favorite :) ). Ordered them for work and everyone was blown away. Definitely will be coming back for more!

I think this is one of the best things you can eat in San Diego! We love it so much we ordered a lot to bring back when we had to come back to Japan. Mohamed who works there is very kind and generous and prepared us frozen sambusas when we told him that we were thinking of bringing them to Japan!

Honestly, these guys make yummy sambusas and chicken plate! Where- I have had their food at Tuesday Farmers Market at UCSD. Busy- Their stall is one of the busy ones at the farmers market. To avoid long lines, get their early - 11 ish or after 1. But going later, means they might not have their entire selection of sambusas. Personal Favorite- Coconut sambusas Meal Plates- chicken/meat/lentil with basmati rice and salad, plus hibiscus tea Price- Reasonable

All their food is top notch, it was hard not to inhale all we got quickly because we wanted to savor the flavor of each sambusa.

For four years as a UCSD student, RED Sambusa has delighted my Tuesday afternoons. Cheap yet extraordinarily delicious, RED has provided me thousands of sambusas and hundreds of chicken plates for me to feast on. In fact, whenever I was scheduling my classes, I've always made sure there was some free time on Tuesdays just so I could buy from RED.

My place to go for lunch on Tuesdays. Samosas are tasty, filling and budget friendly. On top of this , the service is excellent. One time I ordered the usual 6 for 5 dollars, but realized I was not able to pay at that time. He said it was fine, knew me as a regular customer, and did not ask for payment. It was an admirable gesture; not many people value customer loyalty more than making money anymore.

By far my favorite food on the UCSD campus. Available every Tuesday at the Town Square Farmer's Market. Veg-friendly. Get the spinach sambusas -- so garlicky and delicious -- but save some for me! Great prices, great staff (Mohammad and Abdi are always super friendly). The line gets long around 11:45AM, but it moves pretty fast. Pay with cash and it will move even faster. If RED were on campus permanently, I'd probably eat there at least three times a week.

RED is amazing! As a faculty leader, we have used this company for catering student functions and everyone loves the food. RED delivers freshly made delicious food, on-time, and with a smile. The prices are great and the service is outstanding. Many units at my university have used RED's and loved it and I highly recommend the business. If you have never tried their coconut/pineapple cream sambusa, you must - as it regularly becomes the favorite of most everyone who tries it.

I've been a customer for a number of years, first as a student at the UCSD farmers market and now as an event planner and coordinator. RED Sambusas are one of my go to caterers because of their delicious, high quality food as well as their professionalism and dependability. Sambusas are always a hit at events and are also a great price point when working with a small budget. I highly recommend RED Sambusas as a caterer for any function, from staff meetings to festivals.

I googled "food delivery UCSD" with the intent of finding a place with three stars or more that was cheap and not too far from campus. I found RED SAMBUSAS on yelp with five stars and one $ and I knew I had to try them. I called the number to order sambusas enough for 15 people and Mohamed was really friendly and helpful at helping me decide on an order. I was pleasantly surprised to learn that they had a post at the UCSD Farmers' Market that day and that he would hold my sambusas for pick up. When I arrived, the post was packing up but Mohamed kept my order warm for me. They smelled so good! 3 hours later, when I shared my sambusas with my party, I found they tasted even more heavenly! At less than a dollar each, these stuffed triangles are packed with flavor and so addictive! I'm so glad I found them on yelp!

Muhammad at RED Sambusas and Catering is one of the most generous and down to earth people you will ever meet, and his food is off the charts! All the varieties of sambusas are delicious, especially the potato ones and the rice and beans are great too. If you have never tried sambusas from RED you are missing out, and should order some ASAP!
