Great local spot for Italian food! Super cozy and neighborhood vibes. We love coming here for a casual dinner

Food was quite decent! Salmon provenzale was lovely and nicely cooked.

Go here if CPOG doesn't work out! What a lovely spot! It feels like Italy minus Italian waiters! But don’t get me wrong. Our waiter was terrific, and the entire staff worked hard. We stopped in to eat after trying to go to Chicago Pizza and Oven Grinder across the street, which had a several-hour wait. Luckily, we grabbed a table at Ricardo Enoteca. This spot is so charming and cozy that I expected the prices to be outrageous, but they were actually pretty reasonable for the food quality, service, and lovely atmosphere. Our food and drinks were delicious, and my group left quite happy! It's a perfect spot for a date that you really like!

Hostess was the rudest person I’ve ever seen at any restaurant EVER, she ruined our mood with such a rudeness for no reason. Because of the people like that you won’t ever go to the same place, really the worst experience I can imagine

Manager Jez is the worst manager I've ever seen. Attacked a pregnant customer and made her cry. Shame for hiring such people

Our service was so excellent, thank you JP. He was friendly, attentive, and knew so much about each of the dishes we ordered. Our food was so incredible, the calamari was the best we’ve ever had 100/10 recommend.

Very nice quaint restaurant….we loved sitting out on the sidewalk and having a nice meal and wine. Enjoyed the Eggplant appetizer-very tasty! Linguine with garlic sauce and butter was outstanding….and Jasmine our waitress was very friendly too. Will definitely be back !

We highly recommend Riccardo Enoteca; everything we had was delicious. The lasagna was out of this world as was the branzino. I don't think you can go wrong with anything on the menu.

Fantastic little spot. The food was incredible they have a great menu. The service was outstanding. Super attentive and friendly. Loved my risotto and my friend had some pretty fabulous pasta. They have an arugula, artichoke salad that was to die for. If you want authentic, creative Italian this is your place. Loved it.

We sat outside on the sidewalk on a beautiful day. Unfortunately that was the only bright spot. The food was meh. This was not even close to our experience at Riccardo Trattoria across the street. I ordered the lasagna and it was terrible.... it was more like a cheese covered soup of sauce and a few stray noodles. there was no structure and bland. I will not be back.

As always, very pleasant dinner. Great summer gazpacho. The special cod was done right - not overly breaded and just with right amount of capers. Service was very attentive - thank you.

This is a neighborhood gem. Small but with room between tables. Traditional Italian food. Service was terrific. The waiter was knowledgeable, friendly and professional. Our food came out quickly from the kitchen and everyone agreed their dish was great. The branzino was a little salty for my taste (lots of capers) but delicious and well cooked and presented very nicely. Try this place. You won't regret it.

The best all around. Food, service, ambiance all are superb. The team of people there are outstanding and never fail to provide a wonderful experience dining and spending an evening in this restaurant.

There was a slight error with the presentation of a dish that had a sauce with nuts. Not put on the side, but was apologized for.

We are lucky to have Riccardo Enoteca in easy walking distance and try to get there on a monthly basis. We enjoy every visit.

This neighborhood gem delivered another consistent experience. We were a little disappointed with our table (round near the entrance), as there were better choices. As frequent customers, for both take out and dining in, I thought we might have been given a table closer to the window. The service and the meal, were excellent, as usual. The special fish preparation was a treat.

Service and drinks are always great. Lots of specials on weekends that also are very good.

This restaurant had a nice environment. The staff was very friendly and responsive. The wine list had a nice variety but "common names" were not listed, so we had to ask the server who had to ask the hostess for a recommendation. Neither were well-versed in the red selections, so we settled on the special. It was very good. The entrees were heavy on salt. The tiramisu and chocolate cake with ice cream were quite tasty.

Every detail was exceptional. We went seafood heavy and were impressed with the portions. I want to go back and eat everything again! The service was amazing as well. We strongly recommend the gazpacho, octopus (especially for the potatoes underneath— a masterpiece.) and the pear tart. Espresso was delicious as well. It’s been a long time since I have had a flawless dinner out.

Casual atmosphere. Not a fancy place but food quality is good. Perfect for a Friday night drink and food. Service is pretty fast with a neighborhood feel and service.

It is probably the best Italian restaurant in Chicago. The Carbonara are just… to die for. And the profiteroles!!! 100% would go every day.

Food and service outstanding. Entree pricing isn’t unreasonable. Price for salad and wine are quite high for a neighborhood enoteca. $15 for a glass off label Italian white wine is excessive. I live in the neighborhood and have frequented this restaurant before, and will again. Just the prices were more in line with the casual nature it portends to be.

The mozzarella Milanese had a much thicker batter than usual. The batter was always much thinner, and better in our opinion. Otherwise everything was fabulous.

We had a great experience at Ricardo Enoteca! As soon as we sat down they got us our espresso martinis and bread! We started with the veal ricotta meatballs which were phenomenal. For our entrees we got the Bucatini alla carbonara and the Braciola di Maiale all’s Emiliana (breaded pork with mozzarella and prosciutto). These were sooo delicious! Talking with a few of the other guests around us, you cannot go wrong with choice in food! Definitely recommend!

An amazing and intimate restaurant in Lincoln Park. Staff is so friendly and squeezed us in on a busy Saturday night. Everything we ordered was delicious and our host, Orencio, was the nicest! Will most certainly be back

Went during Chicago restaurant week. For $42 the size of the food was wonderful and quality was top notch. Most restaurants make tiny servings for restaurant week but Riccardo Enoteca went all out. Definitely get here if you can

Best Italian food in Chicago. Grilled calamari appetizer is outstanding

Went there for restaurant week and was slightly disappointed that the menu advertised online was not the same in person (missing the expensive dishes- lamp chop/ steak options etc). However the service and atmosphere were wonderful. I ended up getting the grilled calamari to start which was delicious and the pappardelle fiorentina as my main which was also great.

My group and I went for restaurant week and had a fantastic experience! we ordered the meatballs, caprese salad, and grilled calamari to start, and all were great. The mozzarella melted in your mouth and the squid was light, fresh, and perfectly grilled. For our mains, we ordered the carbonara and the veal parmigiana and both were delicious as well. We finished the meal with the tiramisu and panna cotta, and both like everything else, they were both fantastic. The service was fantastic and prompt. I can’t wait to return and try more of the menu!

Cozy storefront in the heart of Lincoln Park draws loyal regular neighbors with a wide variety of well executed dishes. Handmade pastas, daily specials and both meat and seafood.

My wife, son, his partner and I tried Ricardo Enoteca (RE) January 1, 2024. My son and his partner live in Chicago. Wife and I are visiting from Santa Fe, N.M. RICARDO ENOTECA: A REAL CHICAGO RED JOINT! Ambience at RE was so Italian and beautiful: dark, polished mahogany wood and shined brass, a small place but just right to enjoy their wonderful food! We had never had fava beans but are fans now! Tossed in olive oil with cheese a wonderful appetizer. Their bottomless bread plate was tasty, the bread having been grilled a little and with olive oil? Great. I had the chicken on risotto and it was so juicy and tasty. Also enjoyed was the bucatini pasta carbonara. My wife enjoyed the bolognese with beef, pork and veal rage cooked to a perfect consistency. Service was superior, wine list was just right and our waiter threw in shots of limoncello! Auf gehts!

Christmas Eve dinner made unenjoyable due to argumentative hostess. Called restaurant to discuss and never heard back. Food was good but no matter how good wouldn’t go back if business doesn’t have decency to call a customer back.

This restaurant is a must try!! When I say the food was amazing… it was AMAZING!! We ordered the meatballs, the pizza, and two pasta dishes and I was more than happy with all of our choices. The pizza was fresh and cheesy and you could tell the pasta was extremely fresh as well. I got the gnocchi and I still think about it. If you haven’t tried this restaurant, book it now :)

After being long-time fans of their sister restaurant across the street, my wife and I were thrilled to eat here and they did not disappoint. Very festive holiday decor, amazing truffle specials, and prompt service, with fabulous food (esp the octopus). We'll be back for sure. 10/10

Riccardo always makes me feel at home. Best neighborhood spot to grab a seat at the bar, they take great care of you. Cozy atmosphere, high quality ingredients, simple wonderful Italian spot.
