We had some delicious crab cake sandwiches for lunch and were pleased by the generous amount of crab meat.

Pre ordered 1/2 bushel of live crabs. Crabs were ready for immediate pickup at the designated time. The crabs were supposed to be mediums but were actually larger. They were heavy and full of meat. I highly recommend Rippons Seafood on Lighthouse Rd!

We have a yearly reunion and cook our own crabs. We bought a 1/2 a bushel of medium crabs and were pleasantly surprised that not one crab was dead. This place was convenient and clean. The service and the people were very pleasant. We will be returning for more seafood.

During the week of 9/18/23 my family enjoyed 2 dinners from Rippons. 1st.dinner my wife ordered Crab cakes & I had the Softshell Crab sandwhich, BOTH were OUTSTANDING!!! 2nd. dinner we enjoyed fried oysters and 1 DZ. Med. Large Crabs. BOTH were OUTSTANDING!!! RIPPONS is the place for FRESH SEAFOOD & GREAT SERVICE!!!!

This is a small sea food shop in Ocean City Maryland. Every time we go to OC my wife wants to stop there and get scallops.

Best crab cake sandwich on the shore. Nothing fancy here, just good seafood! And the French fries rock. Sandwiches are to-go so bring your own beer or get a soda next door, and sit outside and enjoy! Or take it with you with a slice of the tastiest key lime pie ever. A nice destination for a bike ride from Bethany Beach.

I picked up an order of cream of crab soup today (June 12,2023). It was a cold order which was ok because I would heat it at home. So, it definitely was not creamy nor was there any crab meat. The soup looked like dirty dishwater with a few floating suspect vegetables at the cost of $11.99. I threw it out. Think twice about ordering!

I'm still learning about this seafood/fish house. We wanted soft shell crabs about 5 weeks ago and they didn't have them. Tried again 3 weeks ago and got lucky. We called in a dozen jumbo crabs. When we got there they gave us 11. The crabs were not even close to Jumbo and were $144, not 120 like all of the other crab places in the area. Rippons was sold awhile back. It waS good when the other owner owned, but this owner does a terrible job. Owning a place in the area, knowing we would visit often, you would think they would not have this level of service. Don't go. Just don;t. This weekend we went to Captain Macs and they are fantastic. go there.

Today we went to Rippons to buy dinner to take home to our condo in Fenwick Island. The employees were very helpful and patient as we looked at the pre-made options. Best crabs on the beach! I have been to just about every crab house in Fenwick/ Ocean City and Rippons cannot he beat. Their prices are very reasonable and the crabs are always steamed and seasoned to perfection. Unlike many crab houses, when you order a specific size, you get that specific size. I never feel like I’m getting ripped off with the size or quality of the crabs at Rippons. My only complaint is their cream of crab soup. I have gotten it twice and it was awful both times, it tasted just like cream of broccoli and their was little to no crab meat in it. Rippons is conveniently located in West Fenwick. It is primarily a take out place, although they do have four picnic tables, two inside and two outside. When we arrived there was no one else in the restaurant. I had the shrimp salad on a potato roll. The sandwich was full of shrimp and tasty, but a bit pricey at 11.99, with a bag of chips on the side. They had a lunch special for 7.99, but we missed the special by 30 minutes. My wife had fried oysters (6). The oysters cam with cole slaw, which was good, not too sweet. Overall it was good. We will return, but next time go a little bit earlier to get the lunch special.
