I got the chicken dinner Sunday evening and got very bad food poisoning from this place.

After a great motorcycle ride on a Sunday to the Rockton Bar, it was well worth a 160+ mile ride round trip. Great chicken dinner. Our group has made this same trip many times and always had a great time and food. There is plenty of parking for motorcycles.

We got there late (2:30pm) for chicken on Sunday. Dry and over cooked. $14. Should have gotten a burger.

The Sunday "Almost World Famous" Chicken Barbeque is the reason I'm a repeat customer. Reservations are recommended, they usually sell out.

Stopped in for a couple cocktails with an old friend. Don't know what was going on but the place was stifling hot! My friend is from Florida and she was sweating! The old fashions were delicious at least!

We took our grandkids there after visiting Wild Things. Our 6 yo grandson declared his grilled cheese sandwich "the best sandwich in the world." Food and service were great.

The food was good until I found part of a cockroach in the salad. It grossed me out a little.

It's the only game in town yet these guys bring it daily. Great food and service from local folks. Super reasonable prices. The smoked chicken is their specialty but I love the burgers. In summer weekends there can be a lot of bikers but not the threatening sort.

They definitely have there specialties. The prime rib and fish fry are really good. Service is hit or miss depending on who your server is. But a nice little hole in the wall bar

So my family got there and we just sat ourselves down because we went through the garage doors and tons of people already in there we found a table and two other tables sat down too at the same time. We waited 20 minutes for a server to finally notice us and the other people too. We already knew what we wanted so we told her and she took our order plus she got us our drinks that took 10 minutes to get to us! My mom went to salad bar and she told me there was like nothing in there and it was gross to look at. We waited 1 hour and 30 minutes for our food to finally come and she didn’t even check up on us while we were waiting for our food to come and once it finally came my siblings got there food and my mom and I got fish and we wanted battered fried and she came out with broiled fish and so she took it back and she even wrote down battered fried and that took another 15 minutes for my mom and I to wait for our food and when it came out it our fish was burnt and she still didn’t check up on us if our food was good or not. Very poor service. Understaffed. Burnt food.

The bartenders here do a great job of keeping up with large crowds of people and are friendly. Many of the food choices here are good.

This place can draw big crowds. I happened by on a fall Sunday night. I was the only stranger in the bar. The other ten or so folks knew each other. Kind of like Cheers but with out Norm. Stranger or not I was treated to friendly service and even got a fishing tip from the bartender.

Went on a Monday afternoon. Stopped in for some bloody Mary’s. Service was attentive. Good atmosphere.

The BBQ chicken dinner, after kayaking down the Kickapoo, was to die for. The macaroni and cheese salad was delicious. I just love going to the Rockton Bar!

Good food reasonable prices great staff.

Motorcycle ride for the almost world famous chicken. They have canoe rentals, and there must be horse trails around because horse riders were everywhere. You don’t need a bike but if you want to go for the chicken, you should call ahead. The chicken plate has a large piece of chicken, baked beans and a pasta salad. There is a slice of white bread as well. The chicken is the main feature. If you want a drink, you need to go up to the bar and it is usually 2 to 3 deep.

Great place to stop in. Staff is friendly and professional. Food is excellent quality. Prices are very reasonable or lower than expected for such a nice place.

Had some drinks. They didn't know how to make a margarita without pre made mix which they were out of.

The aesthetics were OK, but the food was just really sloppy. The burgers came on a very, very, very tiny paper plate. They didn’t come with fries, you had to buy them separately. The burger itself was just a Costco frozen patty and then I ordered the beer cheese topping, which was literally ice cold. Every condiment on your burger cost extra. The pretzel bun with something that you get at Walmart and it wasn’t toasted. Fries and onion rings were overly fried and hard. Just go to Wendy’s. At least you’ll get real hamburger meat and hot food.. Js

Stopped on a Sunday for their chicken dinner. It was some if the best I have had. We didnt get their until around 6pm so it has been in a warmer. The next time I go it will be earlier so I can get it hot off the question. I had 1/2 + 1/4 chicken.

Get the Chicken on Sunday!! Western burger and cowboy balls were pretty good as well!!!

Ok you just have to try their char coal roasted chicken dinner! Winner Winner!

Chicken was great as always. Haven’t been here for about 5 years. Things have changed a bit with the layout of how the line and now drive through go. They could’ve used more help getting the plates to the customers better. Only one person trying to do the walk-in and drive through wasn’t nearly enough

Came for the Sunday Chicken. Since we opted to skip the rush, our chicken was only lukewarm and kinda dry. Our pre-ordered meals obviously sat under a heater for an hour or two. $13 for a grilled half-chicken, macaroni salad, and canned baked beans seemed a bit steep for the quality. During the Sunday rush there's limited parking as cars and bikes can spill out onto the road. Nothing for kids to do so bring their own entertainment.

We like coming here for the Sunday BBQ chicken. We had it today and it was good but a bit on the dry side. We also noticed the people cooking are really pouring on the seasoning almost to the point of being too salty. It still was good and we will be back. Only suggestion is to back off on the seasoning and maybe cook it a little less done so it doesn't dry out.

I order chicken on Saturday and pick it up at a designated time on Sunday. It's very easy You just give them your name, pay and drive thru. They have this down to a science.

Weak drinks and average food. Maybe it’s different with every bartender but this one was very skimpy on the alcohol, like maybe a single shot per drink. She even got to the bottom of the bottle where she had to pull out the spout, and instead of pouring the remainder of the bottle into the glass like any other bartender would do, she poured just a trickle leaving about a half shot still in the bottle. The fish seemed to be overcooked and the fries undercooked. Servers were very busy but did a good job keeping up with the dinner crowd.

Just a quick stop but seemed like a nice place.

They were very busy, two birthday parties a motorcycle group and a Jeep group and they accommodated everybody the service and the food was great

Interesting decor full of stuffed fish and animals. Food was tasty, in generous amounts, reasonably priced, and came out quickly. Nice selection of beers and other drinks.

The Rockton Bar is an institution of southwest Wisconsin and the Driftless Area. Not only fun and friendly, the food is really good.

If in the area it's a must stop

Good food,. Weak mixers stick to beer. Your cloths will smell like a frier that's a guarantee. Chicken and burgers are good.

Their chicken lunch on Sunday is the bomb!!! And the noodle salade is awesome sauce, it is so worth the Motorcycle trip over from Iowa. I will come again and again I've been 5xs now .....yummo

Staff was very nice, I just had a burger this time, but if you ever get a chance to do thier chicken on Sundays.. very good and cool to see them guys cooking guessing-100-150 birds it's alot! Check it out!
