Delicious and called Flavors of India

Vegan options are delicious. Dinner price is fair. I am addicted. I eat here twice a week. UPDATE: this place is no longer in this spot. A different one is. It is just as good food wise and has ok service. I do like what they did to upgrade the inside of building. I say go check it out for your self. Any place is better than kurry and kabob. Aweful, nasty place. My self and family will never return to kurry and kabob. New one in place of Royal India is Flavors of India, please go check them out and let them know I sent ya.

This place has Indian food that is unmatched. The people are great, the food is great. The lunch buffet always has a great variety, and the dinners are wonderful with so many options for everyone. I cannot recommend this place enough. Wish it got more business but it's in such an obscure place!

Absolutely Amazing! I loved the butter chicken and the chicken vandalou. The whole experience was just great, from the excellent service to the food. I will most definitly be returning.

Really enjoyed to my surprise. I abhor buffets and that is all they have for lunch...dinner is different you have a menu...had the buffet lunch and sampled a little of everything and loved it. Have to go for dinner next time.

The food is always excellent! Tandoori mixed grill takes about 30 minutes, but they tell you in advance, worth the wait!

Me and my fiance go here all the time. We particularly love that they have a lot of vegan options on the menu. Definitely would recommend to anyone driving by or who have never given them a chance. Food is delicious!

Everything I’ve had here is divine. The flavors just melt in your mouth. The whole menu is delicious. Been in to dine a couple times and service is always great. The waiters are very kind. I’ve been a returning customer for awhile now and have absolutely no complaints!

Royal India is absolutely the most wonderful restaurant since sliced bread, or rather, sliced naan ! The food is simply amazing with flavours that will make you want to lick your plate. Each entree come in a beautiful metal container on a brass stand with a flame warmer to keep it hot while you eat. The servers are impeccable, efficient and courteous. They don't run madly around the restaurant, so you don't feel rushed or frazzled. They always seem to know when you need something and they magically appear. The price is right and well worth the quality. We have gotten to know the mild mannered boss lady Brema and her family who works there. The hospitality there is like eating in an Indian home surrounded by kindred souls. For newbies to Indian food, go for the daily lunch buffer where you can try many dishes and see what you like. I like my meats but I may turn into a vegetarian at this restaurant. The veggies dish are outstanding. This is not a 5 star restaurant. It is a 10 star restaurant! Do go try it out. Tell them the Chinese lady with the mango trees sent you.

I am very picky about Indian food as I am a good ethnic foods cook. This place blows me away!! I have been there ten times already and each time is simple amazing. The flavors of each dish are so different and each has a different wow factor. For once I cannot say I have a favorite dish. I am going to try and eat every entre on the menu. Please do go there and enjoy. The place is so clean and tastefully decorated. The waiters are very professional, prompt, polite and kind. I will like to give the v. ,m 10 stars instead of just 5.

Best indian food I have ever had! Been to a lot of places throughout the country and by far Royal India Port Charlotte is number 1. Fresh food, great atmosphere, polite professional service, and beyond great FLAVOR!!!!

We tried this restaurant for the first time. The atmosphere was very nice. They played Indian musical videos set the mood, the the volume was a bit loud for conversation. I must say that this is some of the best Indian food we've had so far. Also, not crowded on a Saturday night and plenty of parking.

Very good Garlic Naan, and the Shrimp Vindaloo was spicy and flavorful. Gave us extra Basmatti Rice to go with our leftovers. Will come again, our favorite Indian restaurant in the Port Charlotte area.

Absolutely delicious! The chicken soup is to DIE FOR! I could sip on the broth every day until I die. The curries are fantastic. Vindaloo amazing....

I woke up from the best date my wife and myself have had IN YEARS. COMATOSE the rest of the night with a great feeling of SATISFACTION and we warmed up the leftovers and its PERFECT like last night. A MUST GO.

Good food for a fraction of the price.

Had take out and the food is amazing. They cook everything on site so you have a wait and not long and oh so good. My first visit they gave me soup to try for free while waited for food. If you have never had mango soup, its worth every sip. The lamb was more than I imagined and the the Naan bread is amazing. The staff were so nice friendly and helpful on dishes and pronunciation. My new favorite place to eat.

The staff is well dressed and very friendly. They have a good selection and will take time to explain what things are. The water is good and they keep your glass full.

Well tonight i tried indian food for the first time, WOW, what a good choice. The absolute best service I have ever received in my life. The food was totally incredible, and was reasonably priced to boot. The staff and the chef are top notch, and I really can't get over how good the food was, some of the best cuisine I've ever experienced, I am already planning my next visit, definately fine dining on a budget. Wow.....................

My family and I came here excited for a new experience. None of us have ever had Indian food before and we were really excited that they had a buffet so we could try multiple things at once. We loved it! The food was surprisingly wonderful. However the service was what made it extra special. We told the host that we had never had Indian food before and he walked use through the whole buffet and told us about every dish and what was in it. It was wonderful. He seemed just as excited as us that we were trying their food for the first time. Henry made our experience extra enjoyable. :)

Had lunch here on Sunday, we both had the lunch buffet, I thought it was amazing, after living in England for several years we both ate a lot of Indian food, and found upon moving to swfl that there are hardly any Indian restaurants. This is by far our favorite, the food is good, authentic Indian food. and for $13.99 you can't go wrong with the buffet. I loved every dish.

I love a really good Indian meal! This city was void of any Indian food and now it has a real winner! Delicious! I do wish it was Indian spicy instead of American spicy, but all you have to do is ask and it's instantly authentic...I guess when in America cater to Americans! I even took a friend who claims to dislike Indian food and she loved it! Told me to give this place 5 stars as well!! What a kind and decent staff as well. You just don't get this kind of service and quality anymore!

I thought the ambience was perfect for a small location. The staff is very kind and helpful, all from India. The food is wonderful. Quite a variety - just the same as any larger restaurant. Clean, quaint... Just the place for family, friends and a little quiet romance.

We love this place! The food is delightful and the staff is polite and accommodating. This is a go-to family meeting spot with our children from Bradenton. The seasonings are authentic and are adaptable for your particular needs; l am vegetarian and they have many choices.

Great food, polite and friendly staff. The mild food is great, and the spicy is nice too. They will make anything spicy upon request. (as of spring 2016) They have a buffet for the lunch crowd (11:30 to 2:30) and then open the again for dinner around 5pm without the buffet. The Saag Chicken is great.

This is by far the best Indian food you'll find outside of a major city with a substantial, respective ethnic base... this place is as good as restaurants I've eaten at in New York city and St. Louis.

Delicious, authentic Indian cuisine! The absolute best that you will find in the area. The staff is very considerate and knowledgeable about the menu. My girlfriend and I are vegans and we are usually quite wary about eating out. Our server was understanding of our food restrictions and even assured us several times that our meals would be vegan friendly, even when delivering the food. This restaurant is the only place in town that you should eat at if you are looking for great food and A+ service.

What an asset this restaurant will be to Port Charlotte. Good ethnic food is so hard to come by around here. The menu is extensive and the food is authentic. I had two appetisers prawn masala and a samosa. Both delicious. My companion had chicken korma which was very good. We had garlic naan which was scrumptious. Will definitely go back. Well done to the family from Kerala.
