Best beignets I've ever had. Made to order. Very friendly staff and owners. Good old school Community Coffee served here as well. Definitely some comfort food!

The gentleman that was there taking orders and I'm the kitchen was super nice. In between orders, I saw him back in the kitchen rolling the dough and frying the beignets. They were fresh and tasted amazing! They were definitely made with love. I recommend trying them with cinnamon sugar. It was quite busy when I was there and it seemed like the one-man team had it under control. I will come by again when I am driving through.

Fresh beignets, fried to-order in a cozy cafe. If any manage to survive long enough to cool down, don't throw them out because they are hard. 20 seconds in a microwave is all it takes to bring them back is what the generous owner told me as he handed me an extra bag of fingers.

“10 out of 10” was the rating my 7 yr old gave the beignets. Was a delight and will stop by again!

Yen was absolutely fantastic! He has such a beautiful personality and so many entertaining stories that we stayed an hour after closing just to enjoy being around him. The beignets and chickory coffee were also great!

My husband and I were in Baton Rouge for little over a day traveling for work and we decided to stop here, we're from Texas and never had a beignet before. The cashier was simply the most welcoming and kind human I've meet. He played the piano for us and juggled and made our day. Delicious beignet and great service. Will be back next time I'm in town!

We LOVE THIS PLACE! Best beignets ever! Cafe du monde has nothing on these. We finally got to take my mom and sisters and they agree that they are so much better. The owner is super sweet and always gives us free “toes” with our order.

During our recent trip to Baton Rouge, we were wanting to try some beignets for the first time. We stopped in at Rue Beignet and were not disappointed. Though we went right before the shop was about to close the beignet were prepared fresh and oh so good! They were light, fluffy, powdered and so delicious! We gobbled them down as soon as we got in our vehicle! The service was also as good as the beignets. The guy who took our order was polite and engaged us in conversation despite it being time for the shop to close. He also came out and took a group picture of us in front of the restaurant. Good food and service is hard to come by these days. Glad that we were able to experience it at Rue Beignet. Next time we’re in town, we will definitely go back to visit them next time we are in town!

It’s good to be home! We decided to try a new spot in the way in to town. And this little coffee/ beignet spot did not disappoint. We walked in and a customer was playing the piano staged near the front door. We were greeted with a very nice good morning and hello, by Scarlett. Today we found a better beignet than our New Orleans spot and better than our Gonzales spot! This will be our new and only beignet spot when we’re home from now on! On top of the great service, terrific food, you can see a lot of art and purchase it from local students and locals for great prices. Rue beignet was a great first experience with beignets. They were delicious and the owner was extremely friendly and entertaining. He played piano and juggled as we enjoyed our food, which he generously gave us some extras to sample for free. Definitely recommend Rue beignet!

The owner had our beignets ready in minutes and they were delicious (better than Cafe du Monde) We loved the enthusiasm of the employees. The Owner even juggled three balls for us after our meal, what a 🐐.

I had the best time at Rue Beignet. The Beignets themselves are delicious ( I had cinnamon sugar and Nutella on the side.) When the owner found out we were from Florida and taking the Beignets to go, they made us a free batch to eat in the store ( and he even juggled for us while we ate them!) I can’t recommend this little store enough!! We left with full bellies and big smiles! Definitely worth a stop, they even sell artwork on the walls, and 100% of the sale goes to the artist!

My family had the BEST experience eating beignets for the first time! The owner was so excited that we came to his shop from Kansas City that he played Happy Birthday on the piano, juggled balls, provided generous servings, and took our picture!! There is such a fun atmosphere, and I enjoyed visiting with local customers while eating! We also bought the flour-mix and made some when we got back home. Delicious!! I can't speak highly enough about this place-- everyone should eat here!! Thank You Rue!!

Food was good service was perfect. It was raining really hard and a man helped each person out with an umbrella and walked them to their cars.

20240331 The beignets are good, a little dense, and filling. I have wanted to stop here the last 2 days, and I went to Coffee Call and also PJ'S Coffee New Orleans in Lafayette. PJ'S beignets are flakey and the best compared to this place and Coffee Call. The employees are more on the quiet side and polite. The hot chocolate is good, not as sweet as Coffee Call. I'm glad I stopped by before heading home.

Our delicious beignets (and fingers and toes) were so yummy and were served with a side of juggling!! While we didn’t expect to find such a hidden gem in the shopping plaza, we would return in a heartbeat! The beignets were light on the inside and crispy on the outside. Powdered sugar enough (but not drowning) and we got some honey on ours…they were excellent!

This place is hidden away, but we were travelling through Louisiana and wanted some beignets so we googled. We gave Rue a try and was so glad we did! The employee was so friendly and helpful as we had never been. After ordering he asked us to sit down to wait about 3 minutes for them to cook. We ordered them to go but when he brought them out he also brought out a little plate of a few 'fingers' for us to enjoy in shop to try them out. Everything was so delicious!!! He even advised us on how to reheat them once we got back to the hotel. He was so kind and generous and made my daughter laugh by doing juggling tricks and playing the piano. Please go check them out! Definitely worth it!!

The beignets are amazing! We were visiting and looking for a local spot. Found it through Google maps. Decided to check it out. The owner understands hospitality 100%. He brought our drinks and beignets to the table. He gave us extras! He played the piano for us and juggled!! Dessert and a show! He was very friendly and attentive. He even gave us instructions on how to heat up leftovers. It was one of the best restaurant experiences I have ever had. Completely recommend if you're looking for Louisiana experience.

An absolutely charming little beignet cafe with a very kind and generous owner. My dad and I stopped by on our way through Louisiana on a road trip and it was a highlight of our drive. Not only was the owner and staff so kind and welcoming, the patrons inside were genuine folks that gave us recommendations and told us about themselves and the area. There was also live piano playing which was awesome and super fun to see. If you can, definitely stop by! The beignets, fingers, and toes were all super delicious and the coffee was perfectly prepared. The best beignets I’ve ever had and the experience in the cafe made it all the better. 20/10 - highly recommend!

Best beignets and cafe au lait in town!!!

We drove from Austin to visit a friend in Baton Rouge and wanted to try some traditional beignets. Most places around were closed but this one was open later, so we stopped in and oh my god was it good. There was sooo much powdered sugar (probably too much but I'm not complaining). The owner was so nice and asked where we were from. Then he juggled and played piano for us while we ate our beignets. Overall just a really lovely time and atmosphere. Would highly recommend!

We went yesterday based on high reviews. When we arrived it was a bit of a shock. The coffee was terrible. Bitter from sitting too long. The beignets were good but we were so looking forward to a good cup of coffee to have with them. We left our coffee untouched and drove to Starbucks instead.

We always had a great time enjoying the beignets fingers and the owner always so nice and feel so much joy talking to him.

There were three women with birthdays in November and December. The man working brought us each a plain beignet on a bed of powdered sugar with a lit candle on it. He also played Happy Birthday on an older piano tucked away in a corner. The beignets we purchased were wonderful. Yhe experience was priceless?

Best beignets. Honey and cinnamon sugar topping’s were amazing! Staff was nice and came out to entertain the kids.

The beignets were 10/10, very yummy. Yen was very sweet and came out to the parking lot and gave us extra little containers to use after the fact to! (Mind you we didn’t even ask.) All around a great place!

I don’t give out many 5 stars. Has to be over the top. I think I may have found one. Staff was very friendly (I’ll get to that). We didn’t wait long at all for our beignets. They even brought out the extra pieces of cooked dough from our order. They were delicious. We got some “fingers” for the kids. And we had the regular size. As for the owner. He was a hoot. He came out to entertain the kids with juggling. Then played a little tune on the piano. Was just a really nice guy. He has artwork from the locals posted in his place. Buy one of you find something you like!! We had a few fingers left and he told us how to reheat them and walked us to the door. Can’t wait to visit again!!

We were in town for a few days and wanted to go into NO for beignets. Some locals said there was no need to travel that far when you can just go up the street to this spot. It did not disappoint! Highly recommended!

From out of town here for a baseball tournament. Stopped in here based on a recommendation from a friend. So glad we did. Filled up on beignets and Cafe Au Lait which has a cool story behind it. No need to go to New Orleans with this gem right around the corner.

The beignets are awesome fresh and yummy but the young lady that checked me out didn’t even say good morning even after I said it that’s rude and I watched her with another customer same! Maybe she needs to be working in the back if she can’t greet people properly

We found this sweet little shop through a Google search. We are driving across the country and wanted to let our kids try beignets without the hassle of driving into New Orleans. 1st time to Louisiana on a historical tour with daughter and grandkids. We wanted beignets and Rue Beignets popped up in our search. We stopped in and were greeted with amazing hospitality, the beignets were awesome and the man making them came out to talk with us. Local art studded the walls and atmosphere was quaint.

He was so sweet, brought us a few beignet fingers and toes while we waited for our beignets. He also included a free small coffee just because. Just the most happiest, humble, and sweetest person. I love this place, the beignets are delicious. This is my favorite place to bring out of town guests to and for take out. The service is always good and friendly staff. The owner is so nice, tonight I got there and they were about to close so I was going to leave and he told me to go in and he still made me fresh beignets. When I was heading out it started pouring and he gave me an umbrella to walk to my car and not get wet. You just don’t see this kind of service and people anymore.

Rue Beignet is just as good as the original beignet in New Orleans. The owner was very pleasant and gave us some tips on how to reheat our beignets. I liked that there were options for different toppings like nutella, cinnamon sugar, and caramel. I recommend supporting this local business.

Must stop and get the fingers. If you have a family, get a large portion to go and do the cinnamon sugar on the side. :)
