Best sandwiches- breakfast and lunch. Nostalgic charm, cherished family history, great service and kind employees. Reminds me of my childhood and the old convenience store I frequented and purchased penny candy and 5cent pops. Love it, if you haven't been you need to go.

So good. Everything my family ate was delicious. My kids were gushing about how yummy the meatball parm sub was. The flounder sandwich was great and chicken noodle soup was amazing. We will definitely make this a regular stop.

Rust's is a rare restaurant that mixes an old-school atmosphere with current food, service, and style. You can go in and relax(most of the time I see regulars talking happily with the owners and staff), and game is perfect too. Everything, I mean everything... Is good. Just about every type of breakfast for a to-go place is there from a southern hospitality standpoint. What place can you get scrapple eggs and cheese on a sandwich, and an all-star cheesesteak or Italian sub at the same time? Everything is homemade, I clouding their chili, which is a limited time item. If you like chili, get their chili. Doctor it up at home, or don't! Anyway - not many places like these exist anymore, and even fewer are this good. Highly recommend!

A local gem. A place to avoid if you like hustle & bustle and loud music. Just good food, good service and a chance to actually appreciate it. Easy to miss, so try not to. You'll love it.

Great little Sandwich /sub shop.

We ordered a container of clam chader soup. It appears that they used a can of Champbell's soup and added a few clams. Tried their small cheese steak. Where's the meat? Tried their Italian sub. That was good but limited in quantity. Why is there a tip jar for ordering food? We were not totally dissatisfied but we will skip this place in the future.

Everything seemed fresh for my sub especially the roll! The ladies are so nice in there and the place is clean! Definitely will be back. Doesnt look like much from the outside other than a little gas station but once you are inside, its a cozy little restaurant :)

Cheesesteak and Italian sub were good. Fries so so. But I don’t need to hear political comments from staff. If you don’t like the president, you don’t need to share that with a customer who didn’t say anything about politics. And they could put on a neutral TV station instead of fox. I will go to someplace to eat where I don’t need to hear about politics

A friend of mine bought Philly cheese there for me and I loved it, it tasted so so yummy 😋 so I went another time myself but couldn’t enjoy the food because there were no gloves on…. I really wish they would put some gloves and hairnet 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽

This place was great , I love the small rustic building. We stopped right at close but the ladies working took great care of us , we ordered cold sandwiches as they had already shut down the grill. The sandwiches we got were great and for a healthy appetite. Great place to stop and curb your hunger !!

I had a sandwich from this place once and, let me tell you, I was very impressed. I ordered a large chicken cheesesteak ($11 enough for two), and it was loaded with chicken and cheese. It was very tasty. I added extra fried onions thinking that just chicken with cheese would be plain but, I was mistaken. The chicken was well seasoned and perfectly cooked. It didn’t need extras to make the sandwich enjoyable. The roll was soft, spongy, and moist like a cloud. Whoever makes the rolls, KUDOS! I went back a week after and I learned that they only open until 3 pm. Worth noting that the grill CLOSES at 2:45 pm (they won’t cook anything for you even though the place closes at 3). If you cannot make it before the grill is off, give them a call and they will have it ready for you. The people behind the counter are very friendly and courteous. No bad attitudes like in those global sandwich chains. You know, "eat fresh". I am so glad this place is not on RT1 or Rehoboth, otherwise, it would be so crowded all the time. I’ll give it a second try again on Monday. Hopefully, the sandwich will be as good as the last one.

This little gem is a locals secret. It's out in plain sight on route 24 here in Sussex County. It's been there for decades. Offering outstanding sandwiches and other platters for breakfast and lunch. The hard laborers and essential workers of this great democratic state and I guarantee were mostly not democrats! Find ourselves eating here often supporting our local businesses. Great place to eat I'm telling you!

I've driven by Rust more times than I can count and always wanted to check it out. I'm working nearby so today was the day. There is a sign out front that claims "Best Italian Anywhere". Alright then, challenge accepted. I ordered a small Italian all the way and an order of crinkle cut fries. The woman working the counter was exceptionally friendly and even called me by my name after she saw it on my credit card. That's good customer service. They have a small dining area so I decided to eat in. It didn't even feel like 5 minutes and I had my food. Fries were hot and crispy and they had malt vinegar at every table. That's always a good sign. So the Italian: I wouldn't say it's the best I've ever had but it would be better than the vast majority. It was exceptional. The interior is quirky and inviting. The place was full of locals and you can tell they have a lion's share of regulars. They offer breakfast sandwiches as well, along with hot sandwiches, sides and soups. Price wise it was more than reasonable. My sub, fries and a soda were less than 13 dollars. Well worth the price. I would highly recommend stopping in, it's a great little spot!

Beautiful little mom-and-pop shop that was once a gas station with friendly people in a relaxed country-ish atmosphere. Breakfast all day, subs, cheesesteaks, burgers, salads, etc. The family's last name is Rust if you ever wonder what's with the name and there's plenty of photos of the rust family and local area photos on the wall. This is a must visit for a nostalgic experience, but also for real, pleasant country food too. I look forward to returning.

I’ve always heard great things and finally decided to stop in for myself! This place is now my official go to place! The breakfast sandwiches are my favorite! I’ve had the scrapple, bacon and sausage links so far from there. Plan on stopping in today for a cheesesteak! The ladies and gentlemen inside are always polite, very family friendly environment. 10/10 for me Rust! Keep up the great work!

What an unexpected surprise for one of the best cheesesteaks I have ever had! It's easy to drive by without noticing, but worth the stop. Very friendly and helpful service. It's a family friendly place for sure. Can't wait to go again when we are in the neighborhood. Next time I'll remember to take pictures also. 😉❤
