Went for Valentine’s Day this year and it was five star as always. Food was excellent, service was on point, you do get what you pay for imho and in this instance it’s a good value for a special occasion.

I enjoyed my dinner at Ruth’s and the New York strip was amazing and cooked to perfection. We also had the creamed spinach and lobster Mac and cheese, and the calamari as an appetizer which also were just as good. Britney, our waitress, was very attentive and kind. I will definitely be returning on a regular basis to this location.

Omg! The service received last bight 8/2, was phenomenal. I had a very large party that the entire host team prepared to arrange seating hours prior to my arrival. Once there even those that didn’t RSVP to my birthday invite was accommodated immediately. Thanks for making my night so special !

Me and my husband had a dinner date at Ruth's last night. We've been several times but usually for a specific reason. This was a nice evening out just because. Of course the food was delicious and the server was great. Dana was our server and she really was amazing. If you go, ask to be seated in her section!!

Always spectacular! We celebrated another wedding anniversary here and were treated like royalty. The food was excellent as always and the atmosphere was perfect. Their broiled shrimp is something we look forward to. I don't think anyone can compete with the quality and taste of the steak from Ruth's Chris.

Totally felt discriminated against in this establishment. I was the only black person at the bar and in the bar area. I was totally ignored. The bartender finally got around to asking me what I wanted, so I ordered a margarita. My drink took so long to make as I watched the bartender take orders and serve others around me drinks that was not if the same race as myself. I eventually and politely canceled my drink that he never started making in the first place and walked out. I was there 25 mins and nothing. I've never felt so unwanted and uncomfortable in a place of business especially as a paying customer. I'm very disappointed as I am a huge fan of Ruth Chris and dine with them often in Houston Tx.

I travel with work. Go all over the states. Blue collar worker that keeps the infrastructure running and help out disaster affected areas. Was in Baton Rouge this particular day. Checked in Holiday Inn Express which is adjacent to Ruth Chris. I shower, put on fresh jeans and solid white Target bought nice T-shirt. I enter the establishment and tell hostess stand I'm alone and will eat in the bar area. Before I could get a barstool and dine I'm approached by a gentleman server (dressed in black and wearing apron) who ask "what are you doing?" Umm, I'm here to have a beer and eat. Assuming he didn't like that answer or wasn't pleased with my fresh jeans and fresh pressed soild white shirt and asked me leave. More so escorted to the exit door. I've been to several Ruth Chris before and never treated this way! I have a mustache and trimmed beard. Not rugged looking by any means and know the pricing and menu. Not sure what this establishment issue is. Pretty much lost a customer for life. Morton's has never treated me this way.

This is one of my favorite places to eat. The staff are superb. They are always friendly and really cater to guests. The food was cooked to perfection. I had the salmon, creamed spinach, and sweet potato casserole. The drinks were great. There is not one thing I would change.

You want an excellent steak that melts in your mouth? Go here. It is a sort of political hunt, particularly when the legislature is in town, but you really can't beat them for a perfectly cooked steak. They also have a fantastic drink menu and wonderful sides and appetizers. The lobster bisque was also amazing!

I have NEVER in my life received service as exceptional as I did last night! Our waitress Britney was absolutely wonderful. I can not say enough to compliment her or even put into words how wonderful she was to us. The whole staff was wonderful and so friendly. I would recommend this place to anyone and we will most definitely be back. Ohhh and the food was hands down a 10/10!

This place looks the same as it did last time I was here before the pandemic. Doesn’t look like management spent $1 to update or modernize the dining room. In addition the front of the house management people are a bit too arrogant for their own good. Arrived without a reso with plenty of tables open and they shoved me into the last seat at the bar. Not exactly a premium experience. The bartender took good care of me but the overall experience wasn’t worth the $100 tab for 1 person. This place is old and tired and the management could be a bit more humble and friendly.

Appetizer Ahi Tuna was Very Fresh & perfectly prepared. Sea Bass was expertly cooked. Wedge salad with chunks of quality blue cheese was delicious.

This was the last meal I had with my father. I didn't know it at the time, but we got there at 530, and were the last table to leave. The waiter never tried to rush us, and in fact, said to me on the way out, "I hope you guys had a great time together." It is a very special memory.

Ive been toRuthchris Steakhouse on several occasions! Last night was different totally different!!! We walked into that place and granted they were packed, packed with nothing but white people. Them people looked at us as if we were the stars in the movie GET OUT!!!! I have never felt so uncomfortable before in my life!!!! The entire bar room stopped mid conversation and just watched us! Needless to say that we were interrupted some kind of gathering. I didn’t have anything on me but God so you’re right we got the fuk outta there.

My wife and I had had a great time. Like always, the food is absolutely delicious! Our waiter (Lauren) provided excellent service. She was engaging, polite, knowledgeable, and attentive. We appreciate her service and look forward to our next visit. Thank you Lauren!!!

No words can describe it. Just go experience it for yourself. The ABSOLUTE best server/bartender is Ms. Saundra❤️ who works the bar area. She has been my server for 12 yrs so far!!!

Me and my fiancé went out to dinner tonight at Ruth’s Chris. We have never been here before and let me tell you this place is amazing. Everyone is so warm and friendly and the decor and the restaurant is beautiful. We each got a steak and they were cooked to perfection with a side of Lobster Mac (don’t even get me started it was wonderful). But what made the experience so amazing was Blakelye our waiter, she is the sweetest and she cares about everything you say. She noticed my engagement ring and gave us a complimentary cheesecake. Now how in the world can you top that!?! Everyone in the restaurant is so nice and i couldn’t have had a better experience then tonight. Me and my fiancé talked about it all the way home. We will definitely be returning!

One of the most beautiful places I have been in a long time. The service was exceptional, and the food was delicious and well portioned. The atmosphere was elegant and casual. I really enjoyed my date with one of my dearest friends! Be sure to try the Crusted Sea Bass and the spinach dip! Thanks for making our date great!

I am writing today to let you all know that the person responsible for our experience did reach out to me today and apologized for how he handled the situation. The gentlemen was very sincere and I appreciated the effort he took getting my contact information and giving me a call. I stand by my review, it is unfortunate. But I also stand by my statement that this is the best dining experience in Baton Rouge and that is because of the efforts of the whole staff. The host asked if we would return, he even offered a table for tonight and I explained that we would return, and that we never had any intention not to return, but I did have to regretfully decline is offer tonight. Thank you Ruth’s Chris for the phone call today. Let me begin by saying that the following review is based on an unfortunate experience that Ruth’s Chris was not at fault. Ruth’s Chris is a fantastic place with tremendous service, but tonight was not a pleasant one. For my birthday, my wife made reservations for Ruth’s Chris for 6:30. We arrive a little early and she gives the host our names which his response was that he did not see the name. My wife then suggested it may be under my name and he responded that he was not seeing the last name. Confused, my wife then stated that she has the confirmation on her phone. When she checked her email she then realized her mistake, she had made reservations for Sullivan’s and not Ruth’s Chris. You may imagine her embarrassment but the host actually had a smirk smile on his face like “I told you so”, look, nonverbally suggesting he was right. He was right, we had not made the reservation for the correct place. My wife then proceeded to ask if there was any way he had something available….Now here is the upsetting part…Of course he knew what she was going to ask and he began shaking his head from the moment she began to ask the question, and still wearing a little smirk. We apologized for the inconvenience and left. My wife at this time has free flowing tears because she messed up, and because this host’s lack of empathy made her feel even more terrible. Mistakes happen and we understand how Ruth’s Chris operates. There was no way we were getting a table at that time, and we knew that but she believes it never hurts to ask, until it does. Anyone reading this review please understand that Ruth’s Chris is the best restaurant in Baton Rouge. The ownership is awesome and the staff are incredible. If you are dining at this restaurant and are not sure who owns it, just look around for one man that is contantly moving, working harder than anyone should and when you identify that person then you’ve found your owner. The staff feeds off of his energy and attention to detail. It really is incredible. We are bi-annual customers and we will continue to do so. But for the host, even though you know you are right, please understand the mistake made and show a little empathy. I understand it is not your fault but you obviously saw how upset my wife was and it seemed like it was just another day for you. Maybe next time, if something like this happens, let the patron ask the question before insulting them by shaking your head before they can even finish asking. The last thing I’d like to suggest is please don’t appear to take enjoyment in someone elses misery.

We had the lobster bisque (amazing!). Our steaks were cooked to perfection along with a side of potatoes au gratin. Crème brûlée and cheese cake for dessert was delicious!

Ruth Chris’ is legendary in the region for the best steaks. Pricy, but worth every penny. Best tasting steaks with sides that match the beef in taste. Steaks brought to the table sizzling and delicious. Waitstaff is experienced and all about making the dining experience worth the price. Best steakhouse around!

Delightful experience from start to finish. It’s been more than a few years since I’ve been Ruth’s Chris. I am super critical when it comes to dining out especially when it comes to higher end restaurants. My expectations are much higher. My wife and I went for our anniversary (which was acknowledged by at least 3 different people). Crab cakes perfect, steaks cooked to perfection, drinks fantastic (kinda puzzled by the inexpensive pricing) and complimentary cheesecake. Service wonderful, Brittany made our entire evening a total delight. She did not miss a beat. Never waited for anything and she was very in tune to not interrupt conversation. She’s setting the bar for excellence in Baton Rouge.

We thoroughly enjoyed our supper last night. We had the pure joy of sampling the barbecue shrimp, crab cakes, caesar salad, filet, potatoes au gratin, sweet potato casserole, and complimentary cheesecake. Everything was fabulous. In fact, we finished what was left of our meal tonight, for dinner. As for servers, I can’t imagine a better server than our sweet server Dana.

Very disappointed in the quality of the meat here - again - 40oz porterhouse was tough, chewy, and overcooked - though it was ordered medium, it was delivered mostly well done throughout and needed quite a bit of sawing motion to cut through all the tough connective tissue into bite-sized pieces. This place is either hit or miss - I’ve had good steaks here in years past, but more than once have left really disappointed. For us, this time, the service was great, but very sad that for a place that claims to only serve in house, wet aged prime meat, the quality of the meat can be easily surpassed for a fraction of the price at Texas Roadhouse (same porterhouse cut, but TR offered a much more tender steak and was cooked properly, which we also sampled a few days later to be sure we weren’t being overly critical of RC-BR). Also, interior is REALLY BLAND inside and sorely needs updating if they want to court a fine dining crowd - Fleming’s, Sullivan’s, even Stab’s interior was more intimate.

This was the second year in a row my mom and I decided to go to Ruth Chris for my birthday lunch, just because the staff is so welcoming, and super nice! The food is always good, and everyone tells me Happy Birthday, which doesn't seem like much but means a lot !

We were traveling home from NC to TX and needed to stop for dinner. We knew we would not be disappointed stopping here. Evan took amazing care of us and the martini's & food was outstanding!

Thought it would be a little different, like the steaks would "melt in your mouth", especially with all the hype. Not being facetious but Texas Roadhouse has better steaks. Service was excellent though, drinks were constantly filled so that was good. The steaming hot crab cakes were a little weird and different, but we've lived in Maryland for a while so we know how crab is supposed to taste and prepared. The interior reminds one of a 70s cigar bar, almost expected velvet to be on the walls 😆 but for a special event, it seemed to serve the purpose, wouldn't go back though unless someone else was picking up the tab!

When I first walked I'm there I didn't understand what the hype was about. But as I got serviced and the food came I can definitely see what the hype is about. The customer service is like none other I give 10 out of 10. The waiters and waitresses are very attentive and food was very delicious and flavorful.

My first time eating there, me and my wife went there to celebrate our Anniversary and everything was nice.

First time dining at Ruth's Chris..when I tell you from the moment, my husband and I walked through the door, we enjoyed every minute our eyes were blinking with a smile. Our server name was Brock, he was so very knowledgeable and clear with his service and response to our questions. My first time eating a pork chop that I did not have to saw threw for 5 minutes to cut slices. The knife went right through with slicing. It was well cooked with savory seasoning. It was good! Even though the lights had went out due to a severe thunderstorm in the B.R area, the service was still excellent. We will return.

My experiences at Ruth Chris have been great so far! I recently dined for my birthday celebration, and the food and service were great. The waitress was very attentive, and she ensured we had everything in a timely manner. The food was served hot, and the drinks were really good. The steaks were prepared as requested without having to send back for alterations. I would highly recommend Ruth’s Chris for dining. The ambience is really welcoming, and it is a great space for dates or meeting friends or work colleagues for a good meal with great service.

A really good restaurant with excellent service and a warm cozy ambiance. The let down on my second trip is the bent on putting sugar in a number of meal options...that was an interesting idea on my first visit but in this second reservation with a different group of people, it seemed a little too much.

This was my first time eating here. Michelle, our waitress, was amazing. Very professional and nice! The food was so delicious! I'm hooked! I want to bring my daughter next time!
