One of the best burgers in town! Delicious breakfast always on point!!!

Very small place with great food and prices. The only downside was having to wait for a table BUT that is just a testament to the popularity of the establishment. 3 of us for breakfast was less than 25$

We were coming home from Georgia back to Arizona and decided to stop here for breakfast. I honestly was just looking for a place that was open. I'm so glad we went here! It was so good. If they had a restaurant in Arizona, I'd definitely go. Amazing food and amazing service. 10/10 recommend

It is a very small place the the food is sooo good and the wait staff and cook are so friendly. It feels like eating in your grandma's kitchen. Not expensive at all. I had breakfast and everything was cooked and seasoned to perfection

4th Year In A Row of going out of our way on the way to Destin for breakfast at Good Eats! ❤️ Great home cooked food. Large portions with low prices. Small locals place. We live in Texas and take vacations to Destin eat summer, we go out of our way to stop here for breakfast or lunch. Get the grits! 😋

I had the chicken fried steak and mashed potatoes with white gravy and it was absolutely delicious. White gravy just like my mom made. Very large portions. Waitress was kind and and very attentive.

When it’s good, it’s very good and when it’s not- it’s out of cans, boxes or just bad cooking…. And every table comes with a eat fast and leave within the hour print out taped to the wall….

Our first time there. I had the fried catfish and the wife the shrimp Poboy, and they were delicious. Sabrina was our server. She was knowledgeable, and took care of us. We are definitely coming back…A+ all the way…btw, don’t judge the place from the outside. Plenty of good food inside.

Extremely rude staff from the start. Was not welcoming whatsoever. Would not accommodate my family because we had outside food, not even asking why or anything, couldn’t even sit outside. My son has allergies and can’t eat things with eggs or anything like that, but they didn’t even seek to understand. Instead they wanted to argue. They tried to tell me they said something else on a social media post and then removed the comment and blocked me. What a small business that’s ’trying To make it’. Put a sign up if that’s the case instead of making a big deal about something that could have been avoided. It’s how you say it not what you say. Won’t be coming here ever again. Advise you don’t either and be warned.

We have been coming here for years. Never fails, great food, great service, great prices! The only downside to this place is that it's small, so wait times during lunch or after church can last about 20minutes or so. The food is beyond good, especially if your looking for that home cooked meal . You cannot beat the lunch specials they have. You get a sandwich , 2 sides and a dessert for under 10$. Make sure to visit, you won't be sorry!

Walked in and stood at counter to try to order to go and woman did not acknowledge me at all she proceeded to service only the other folks that were in there sitting at tables. I believe my skin color had something to do with it. Will never return.

Definition of a "hole in the wall". We were looking for a local breakfast place on the way to New Orleans and am glad we went with this place! Everything we got was delicious and beyond reasonably priced. We paid maybe half the price of what we would've spent at a chain restaurant for more and better food. It's not fancy by any means. A bit small, but the number of cars and people waiting for a table speaks for itself. Definitely worth a stop in if you're in the area or driving through.

Food was very bland not very good had jumbo and tasted like dirty dish water if I had to describe it not good at all and hardly had any met or anything in it almost just a gravy.. my little boy got shrimp and came out with 4 little shrimp and barley a handful of fries

A true hidden gem! It’s a hole in the wall but one of the best breakfast joints I’ve ever eaten in. They serve all day but I only go in the mornings. The BEST coffee anywhere!!!

My 84 year old PawPaw took me here twice during my visit. The first time I had the Roast Beef Poboy. It was delicious, the bread was fresh, the meat was high quality and the gravy wasn't salty. The second time I tried the "build your own lunch special" for $8.99 I ordered a Srimp on a bun, fries, a cup of gumbo, and a small chocolate sundae. The gumbo was flavorful and the fries were hot. You can't go wrong with a Sundae. My PawPaw ordered the bread pudding and it looked exceptional & he ate the whole piece. The prices are so good, more than fair. The kids menu has a lot of options as well. Small place, but definitely worth the wait and squeezing in. Our waitress was amazing... I can tell she puts up with my PawPaw a lot (he is difficult....very) & I appreciate her patience and her service. Thank yall so much for a wonderful memory with my PawPaw.

Everything on the menu is so amazing... well except that you maybe should make the building a little larger and add more tables due to the popularity of this place! I came here with my dad on May 27th for lunch. I had been here a few times before and gotten their breakfast and it has always been a good experience. Since I decided to get a lunch menu item this time, my dad had recommended the roast beef poboy so that’s what I got. To preface this, I don’t like my poboys dressed, I like meat and gravy only on my roast beef poboys. When this is what was delivered to my table I was shocked. Yes I asked for the poboy to not be dressed, but I didn’t think that would mean I’d get almost no meat… I ate the roast beef without the bread because let’s be real, there’s not nearly enough meat on there to constitute an actual sandwich. The beef tasted good and had great flavor but I was finished in 3 bites. I left very unsatisfied and still hungry. I’m sad because I’ve really enjoyed this place in the past but unfortunately won’t be back anytime soon.

The breakfast was really good! The biscuits were not GA biscuits though, but still edible! Maybe it was the humidity? Our waitress was very nice. The seating space is super small, but it was still nice.

It's definitely worth the drive from the highway. I am so glad we chose Good Eats Cafe over IHOP, I was not disappointed! My son had the Mickey Mouse pancake, and it was delicious! I had the scramble mess, and it was enough to feed 2 people, but it was equally delicious! We were there around 8AM. The place is a bid small for the clientele they have at that time on a weekend, but worth the wait!

We didn't get to eat here let's just start there . So we arrived around 850am on a Monday morning and upon walking up to the entrance we see a white male having a seat outside. My husband and I are right at the door and before we could touch it a white waitress literally rushes right pass us to bring him his drink, literally brushing right into me, no excuse me no im sorry just kept walking to bring him his drink. I paid that no mind I just opened the door and proceeded to look at the menu by the register. So she walks back in and asks if we're dining in or if it's a pickup or to go order. We say we want to dine in and she says well have a seat. Well we're a party of two and all those tables are taken so we sit at the large table right by the register only for her to immediately yell at us and say you can't sit there you need two more people in your party to sit there. I then tell her those tables are all taken and we are just gonna wait for one to open. She says no you can't sit you can stand and wait. We just leave. I don't plan on spending a penny here or ever visiting again.

Whenever we go on vacation, we always try to find a local place for breakfast on our last day before we head home. Today we stopped at S&H Good Eats Cafe. It's a small place that you can tell has a big heart. The food came out quickly, and was delicious. The price was beyond reasonable. If I was a local, I would definitely be a regular here.

Really really good. Don’t sleep on this place. My wife has been passing this place her whole life but we never were able to catch it before they closed. We took a chance one Sunday and it was excellent! Fresh and homemade with generous portions. I’d recommend the Country Fried Steak breakfast and my wife recommends the Scrambled Mess. If they got the Chicken Tortilla soup, get a bowl. You won’t regret it. Don’t be discourage if there are people waiting on the porch, the wait is worth it! We can’t wait to go back!

Good Eats is a go-to for regular breakfast that is slammin'. You will not find a better breakfast at a lower price anywhere in Slidell. Recommended to us by friends, this place is a hidden gem. You would never know by the unassuming facade how friendly the staff is and how delicious the food is except for the number of cars parked outside. It is like eating at your grandma's house with all your neighbors. 😁

Came into town for the St. Patrick's Day parade and saw the float for a "Good Eats" cafe. Just knew I had to check it out! It was very homely and welcoming. I got the Scrambled Mess and it reminded me of what my mom would make growing up. If you like homestyle country cooking, this is a great place to check out.

We eat there regularly, and I like it. Staff is nice enough, food is inexpensive. Not the kind of place you go for great coffee and high end dining, more like diner food with a few changes like the green chili. They have breakfast burritos and breakfast enchiladas that we are fond of in addition to standard diner food. The building could use a little work, but that would probably mean a cost increase. Also know that it's small and fills up fast. We are on hiatus until after the governor's race. I don't need to be reminded about politics with signs on both sides of the property before breakfast.

Don't let this small cafe fool you! The food is mostly homemade! No instant stuff here, The red beans come either with sausage or a pork chop, and the CORNBREAD!! Yummy! Our server Donna was personable and was so attentive, before we left, I walked in the kitchen to Holler to the cooks, great job and great food!

I luv this place but I will not be back. They tell you, you can sit anywhere because there is no host. I sat at a table that was for a party of maybe 6, but the other tables they had available was in a corner and I’m not good with corners. It almost seem like the staff harassed me about sitting there. I feel like if you have someone seating then I would not have picked where I wanted to be seated. Obviously if there had been a big party that came in I would have improvised. The way I was treated. I didn’t order I just left. I will not order take out either. Customer service is everything to me I don’t care how good the food is. The little shack with good food is just that to me a shack

What an amazing place! The food was awesome. This has to be some of the best home cooked food from a restaurant I have ever had in my life. I travel often and I have been to almost every state in the union and hands down this is some of the best food in America. If you are ever in the area this has to be on your to-do list.

We headed to this incredible little gem for breakfast while traveling. The food was home-style, and was incredibly inexpensive. I ordered the small burrito, which was served with grits and a biscuit. The burrito was delicious, and had hashbrowns, eggs and little chunks of pork chops in it. The sauce was mild and cheesy. However, the star was the biscuit! I have never tasted such an exquisite, pillowy biscuit, and could see myself eating a whole plate of them with no remorse. We had a short wait before being seated; The rest of the patrons were so approachable that I felt I had made new friends before leaving. Will definitely return when I am in the area.
