Finally we were able to get a reservation and it was worth the wait. Food was fantastic, ambiance perfect. Chef Simon was very attentive. We will be back.

So this rude owner reports the negative reviews without even apologising us for the bad experience we had, shows his character really well. Not surprised, if he can be mean to a 4 year old kid, he can be anything! I was so excited to spend a weekend at this place but came very disappointed! The reviews are absolutely misleading! Starting with the owner/chef who was not friendly to us. Not sure he does favor to some people, but throughout our stay, we felt very uncomfortable. Absolutely not kid friendly, he demanded our boy to stop doing some things that any kid would obviously do. He cannot demand someone else’s kid like that, if he does not tolerate kids, this should be an adults only property. Breakfast is just average, nothing like the hype about. He did not bake any fresh bread for us, just some age old store bought tiniest croissants in the world. He wouldn’t even ask us if the food is good or if we need anything or if we spent the night ok because he always acted like he had sponsored us to stay there! We would never come back

I am not happy about the way we were treated at this place. We did not feel welcome. The owner said no to all the things we asked for; 1) The website says he can arrange a family pizza night upon request but when we asked for it he said he cannot do it that day. 2) When we asked if we could change our regular bedroom to a cabin, he said the cabins were prepared for the guests who will be checked in the next day. We were supposed to check out by 11am the next day so he absolutely did not have an issue giving us the cabin for a night, I guess he did not want to pay for the cleaning the next day. 3) The b&b does not have a microwave & he did not give us any option to warm up our milk for the coffee & left us with drinking cold coffee in the morning. Breakfast was so so, definitely did not feel like a chef made. This is more like a glamping place not a b&b. No body lotion, body wash were provided in the room which were pretty basic for a b&b and do not cost a fortune to add to a room. The only good thing about the place was beautiful grounds thanks to the nature. That uncomfortable , unwelcome feeling is the least thing I expect in a weekend getaway!

Amazing food and so peaceful place, the room was clean and also we enjoyed the massage service (you have to request it days before you go) we loved it, my kids had a good time there too, just walking around and enjoying the views!

The perfect city escape. Great and comfortable lodging. Amazing food. Breakfast included. BYOB. Superb hospitality. Completely unplugged experience. Extremely convenient for those with electric vehicle as Simon had a EV charger that is compatible with Tesla. We are already planning our trip back!

Chef Simon was very hospitable and the food was amazing with good flavor and authentic presentation. A must go for an amazing experience.

The property was fantastic. I really enjoyed being here with my wife and small dog. The food Simon cooked was excellent. The breakfast had sunnyside up eggs and i was scared in a way to eat them but it was so good.. haha.. (I'm used to scrambled).. Excellent food. pizza and pasta on Friday's ... perfect..BRING A TELESCOPE!!.. so many stars. The wildlife was fun.. birds, deer, a horse.... and cats. It was frustrating because of no cell phone signal in town but my wife was able to survive 😞. I was very uneasy because of my last night there. I was having some car problems but Simon gave us a different direction to go home and I'm very thankful...I am home now WE WILL RETURN . Thank you Simon and your staff

Simon is such a caring B&B owner. He was very kind and attentive and is an INCREDIBLE chef. We enjoyed staying at his B&B as the food was amazing, the room was cozy, and the scenery was beautiful. It was the best weekend we have had in a long time.

Had a hot date with this lady last night at Sabor a Pasion Estate & Vineyard. If you haven’t been before, it’s worth the drive for a date night. Delicious food and great personal service from Chef Simon and his two servers. The restaurant is set on 15 acres in the piney woods. Check it out!

What a GREAT experience. First class service from Chef Simon and the entire staff. 5 stars all the way around. From the wood fires oven to the attentive staff this is a highly recommended destination for peaceful getaway!

Fresh, delicious well prepared meals. We had dinner here and the hospitality was amazing. Tge place was cute and clean.

Excellent experience and service. Simon bakes the best bread. Pasta tortellini and salad with homemade dressing were delicious. You must try the famous pavlova, can’t miss it. Simon was a great host, the cabins are cozy and very well maintained, everything was neat and clean. We’ll come back for sure!

Spent 3 nights here attending a wedding and staying an extra day for some R&R. For an easy weekend get away from Dallas, this just can’t be beat. The restaurant is exceptional and the lush grounds and quaint and comfortable cabins are perfect. Pay attention to the fact that it is a place to disconnect and relax - as in there is no cell service and no Internet. Your phone serves as a camera and nothing more so embrace it and relax!!!

What a great experience! We had our wedding there last weekend and had around 60 people. Simon did a great job of setup, working on a Texas-New Zealand menu and allowed us to setup the ballroom decorations as needed. We booked all the rooms and had full access throughout the day to the entire place. The rooms were great, NO INTERNET meant more time to hang out and chat with friends and family. Close to town if you need anything and so very relaxing. Well looked after property and would recommend this place for a getaway or larger event. We had dinner the night before the wedding and breakfast the day of with brunch the morning after. All totally different and AMAZING!

The atmosphere is great! Chef Simon Webster was awesome. Prices are a bit high for an couple. But you have to pay for quality. Also if you are going to get an overall price for a group rating make sure you are paying for what you expect. I got caught and it cost me about $60 more than I was told.

Amazing! Simon makes you feel right at home. We always enjoy our meals here. You wont find a better experience in East Texas! 💟 His meals are made to order and prepared with fresh ingredients!

My wife and I chose this place for a quick anniversary getaway. This is an amazing piece of property with four cozy cabins and a small restaurant. There is no internet access so it gave us a chance to unplug and unwind. Plenty of antiquing in towns around the property. Simon is a very personable host and an incredible chef. There was not a meal he made that we did not love! We will definitely be returning.

This is not just a restaurant, this is an experience. The food is opulent and Chef Simon is amazing . I don't think he can cook anything that's not good. We visit every chance we get and if he has availability.

Wonderful hospitality, delicious food, and very accommodating! My husband and I wanted to get out of Dallas for the weekend at the last minute. We came across Sabor a Pasion online. We stayed in one of the large estate rooms because the cabins were already booked. We went on a morning bike ride, went into town, and enjoyed the lovely weather. Simon was a great host and we look forward to coming back again!

Excellent restaurant and accommodations. Located on a 30 acres of farm land and vineyard the location is beautiful. Chef Simon Webster is a master in the kitchen producing superb meals.we spent a few days here and it was great. The rooms are well appointed and just the place to wind down. There is no internet or TV so you can disconnect from your devices. Will go back.

The food was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!! We had a small dinner party and I was able to sample from everyone’s plate, from the lamb to the duck, this was the finest cuisine I’ve had in years, and living in Uptown Dallas, I’ve had great food!! Would recommend this venue over and over again!!!

My wife and I enjoyed the pizza making class. This was our first time taking a cooking class and thought it was a great blend of being informative without being overly complexed (which allows you to visit with your partner and other guests). The cabins were also perfect, each having a front porch with rocking-chairs — perfect for enjoying a glass of wine and conversation.

We just had an amazing dinner. We would recommend this place over and over again. Exceptional food, great atmosphere and a spectacular host. They will make you feel like a long life friend . Thank you!!!!

Defiantly a diamond in the rough. The place is dripping with rustic charm. Very well laid out and kept. For those looking for an experience that is unforgettable this is the place. Simon has a first class vision and the ability to deliver that vision. Thanks, all the best.
