Always remotely fast - good consistent food , affordable Prices - great for business quick Lunch

Got food quickly, which was nice. Food was ok. Chicken Tikka masala was good. Saag Paneer is not so great. A Thali combo is quite sufficient.

The front staff aren't that helpful, mediocre service and poor English communication skills. Small place, foods is ok. But service certainly needs improvement. Thank you.

Authentic Indian flavours we tried lunch plate and 4 dishes between the 2 of us, all tasted good: saag paneer, chicken and lamb curry and dhal. All extra green and red chili sauces were tangy and fresh. The only minor point was rice was not basmati but it’s nice they offered a brown rice option. Highly recommend for a quick tasty lunch

Corporate Indian food, lacks the spice and flavor of the real deal. Also fairly expensive and the naan is small.

Great little place for lunch. Tried the bowl with Chicken Tikka and Garlic Naan. I also grabbed the cilantro lime for the Naan. All was great for a quick lunch. Definitely going back.

I ordered the combo plate with chicken tikka masala and saag paneer, which was about $13. For plenty of actual food with nutritional value at this price, it’s a good deal. The restaurant is kept clean and the service is good. However, the food itself was unimpressive. I’m no Indian food expert but I felt like every dish was missing something. Plus, the curries were all too oily and lacked strong flavors. The naan was alright and they have some nice chutneys and other sauces available. Overall, mediocre food for a decent price. Not a terrible lunch but I would only come back here if I had very few other options.

Mediocre. If you need a spin to your quick meals during your lunch hour on your work days. This isn’t a bad spot.

The quality of food has gone down substantially. Ordered chicken tikka masala and curry and both dishes are watery and just small chicken pieces boiled in gravy. Surprisingly the chicken tika masala has no tika and only hard boiled chicken.

Went here on first day working in downtown LA. Cashier was really friendly, food was served really fast and it was delicious. Planning to go back soon 🤞🏼

Went there recently but to be quite honest, the tikka wasn’t all that good. I asked the cashier about the girl cook that was there before but she told me that she wasn’t no longer in that location. She made the best chicken tikka. I miss it. Anyways the food just wasn’t as tasty & the naan was burnt. Whoever the cook is now just doesn’t know exactly what he is doing. He needs to add more flavor to his food and make the the chicken tikka look more red. Hopefully this gets better

Very watery curry, naan was ok. Mango lassi flavor was ok tastes like microwaved food. Very average food for $23

The rice tasted faintly of plastic and the portion size is laughable for the price. I ordered the lamb curry and it was probably the most watery curry I have ever eaten. The service was great however, and the Naan is quite flavorful.

Excellent food and great prices. I had the combo with chicken and lamb Tikka. The lamb was tender tho needed a little salt. The chicken was excellent. I got the combo plus naan and raita and iced tea for $24. Not bad for DTLA

Really great Indian food! Took my whole family everyone tried something different. I enjoyed the Indian Burrito & Spiced Fries! Personally enjoyed the Lentil Soup and Chicken Curry, it wasn’t to spicy and the rice was cooked well. It’s hard to find good take out in dtla so I’ll def. be back for more🤘🏻Great price for everything we got! Lots of food they weren’t stingy. A Must Try

Good, delicious food with affordable prices. Very near to the museum of contemporary art. I had samosas, and being from India, I can say they were really good. Fresh food, recommended stop for hungry tummies.

I had to wait like 2 minutes because they were making fresh Naan, and because of that incredibly short wait they gave me extra naan and a free samosa while I was hanging out. Great food and employees.

Saffron did the catering for our (510) person wedding at Revel Fulton Market in Chicago. To say the least it was AMAZING, passed appetizers, plated vegetarian, and family style were all included and to top it off the desert was amazing. The coordination was so simple with Roy & his son who are great and so easy to work with. The food was nothing short of spectacular and people could not stop talking about it, specifically the family style items they loved!!! We did the tasting at the restaurant and it was great, so many options in food and presentation. Easily the best Indian food in Chicago, we know the owners of a few well known places but the quality and service dont come close to Saffron.

I was going to this restaurant for the first time. As per the coupon that I had purchased, I was asked to make a reservation at least 48 hours before. After we entered the dimly lit restaurant, we were greeted after almost a minute, and the person asked me whether I had reservations. When I told him yes, he looked up his reservation chart and mentioned loudly OH SO YOU ARE USING A G...... COUPON. This sounded odd to me, as it has never happened with any other place where I had used the coupons. The lettuce in the lettuce wrap was not crisp and fresh. We felt that the portions were small, maybe because I had used a coupon? The meat was in the boti kabab masala was only half cooked. The naan came after we had finished the meal. I expected better service. Its my personal experience, but I will never visit this restaurant again.

We went there with family, some of whom never had Indian food. My wife's mother never had it, but was willing to try. She however is not accustomed to spicy food, so some items were a problem for her. My wife and I have been here a couple times and always enjoyed it. This time service was rather slow with the large group we had. One day my wife and I plan to try the lunch buffet.

Go for the food. Do not be turned off by the location in a shopping mall with mostly empty stores. This is a hidden gem with friendly service, s clean and well appointed restaurant with delicious Indian food.

I was in town for a reunion and arrived early enough to research where I was going for lunch. I settled for this Indian Buffet. I was impressed. The food was very tasty and the portion was more than I expected. The service was great. The downside was the location of this restaurant- a "dead" strip mall with lots of closed shops. But with the kind of food churned out from Saffron Restaurant...that Strip mall should expect increased traffic.

Stopped here for lunch. It is located in a mostly empty strip mall, but don't let that deter you. The buffet was fabulous. Good variety of meat and vegetarian options. They also bring fresh naan and tandoori chicken to your table. Friendly service too. Buffet and beverage around $11. Will be back when I'm in the area.

Along with my friend , I did lunch in this hotel. For 10USD, I can say , this is the best buffet lunch in USA. Starting with soups, biriyani varieties, Currys all are very good and very tasty. Roti nan part of the buffet also taste very good. Service is amazing. Owners takes care of each and every guest personally. Have a very good parking and nice ambience is added advantage. Sure I recommend saffron..

I have been to Saffron four times in the past six weeks. I first tried it when I purchased a Groupon. I have tried the lunch buffet twice and ordering off the menu twice. Both times I was extremely happy with the food. The buffet is a great way to try different foods. When I ordered off the menu, I had the Chicken Tikka Masala both times. It is outstanding. The service at Saffron is outstanding. The servers are more than happy to help you with your menu selection and are very friendly. I would highly recommend Saffron. I had four fantastic experiences there.

We pack of 11 people went to this restaurant from office. The restaurant serves you buffet lunch. Indian Cuisine. The food was OK with the price. Started with a veggie soup and veg pakoras. There were chicken dishes (2 nos) , mutton curry (1) and veg curries (3 nos) along with only one choice of rice. They served us chicken tandoori and naan on table which was good. Gulab Jamun and Rasmalai was choices for desert and tasty good. The place is neat and silent (of course with no crowd other us and few others in a restaurant).
