Very rude people over the phone no Need to visit this restaurant

Went for lunch. Quick service to accommodate lunch crowd. Very good sushi and love the dressing on the salad! Look forward to visiting again when in the area.

My wife and I love sushi and hibachi. Everytime we visit a new place, we try to find the perfect place that can do both. Sakura IS IT!!! Hands down the best Sushi and Hibachi spot in the New Orleans area. The food is always super fresh and the servers are awesome. Do not leave without trying the Gyoza!

Sakura is a very good sushi place in Gretna! The staff there are amazing! Mik is so nice and friendly.(ps. A little loud as her personality but she is very nice and happy all the time) The manager Jenny is also a very friendly sweet and kind person. The rolls are amazing! I had the Tiger roll, Sakura roll, tornado roll(deep fried), and salmon sushi! Their fish is very fresh and delicious! I love this environment. They also got hibachi for people don’t eat raw. Super recommend for people who live in gretna! Go there and visit ! try them out!

I went to Sakura this past Wednesday night and was scammed out of $20 It was not very busy when we placed our orders, however, it took over 20 minutes for our orders to come out. We noticed several other guests who came after us received their orders before us. Even after a mediocre meal with an even longer wait time, I still tipped our waitress 25%+! I left cash, $80 for a $63 bill, on the table and walked out after waiting too long for the waitress to take our card. As we were walking into the parking lot, our waitress chased us down, screaming at us. She said we were $20 short, which was absolutely not the case. My girlfriend and I both counted the amount of cash left on the bill, and it was enough for the bill and tip. I used to enjoy this restaurant but I am NEVER coming here again and I advise everyone else the same unless you want to be scammed out of your money.

Excellent Food. Always top quality. Fantastic parking and super kind service :) Started with Poke Salad Bowl and Hibachi Steak Fried Rice. After wanting more has fresh Tuna and Salmon Sashimi and their Tiger Roll / Elmwood Roll :)

First time here since it changed (from Cafe Zen) and the new owners have stepped up. The food was delicious, service was excellent, and they have really good prices. Definitely will be back.

I have eaten here a few times, dine in and take out, and was always pleased with the food. However, something happened recently that has me incredibly disappointed. Anyone who orders here, beware of getting ripped off! I have ordered a salmon naruto roll here a few times (see picture of plated roll, the bottom roll, as an example) and it is always delicious. However, the last time I ordered it, I received a roll with barely any filling - it was almost only cucumber (see picture of take out container). They still charged 13.95 for the roll. I feel like I was ripped off. I paid that amount of money expecting the amount of salmon from the plated photo.

This has become my wife and I's new 'go to' sushi restaurant. Our favorite menu item is the 'Love boat', which comes with a nice selection of rolls and sashimi.

My new favorite Westbank sushi spot! Sakura is the only sushi restaurant I've gone to that substitutes imitation crab (a.k.a snow crab) for real crawfish tails! Amazing and efficient service, excellent food, a pleasantly casual atmosphere, and great lunch time deals. Plus, instead of rice they will wrap your sushi in cucumber! My only drawback is that I've eaten better hibachi fried rice and chicken elsewhere. Both taste under seasoned, but I can't quite pinpoint what's lacking in either. I recommend the salmon if you do get a hibachi dinner (assuming you're ready to take a chance on the rice). Regardless, their sushi is delicious! My favorites are the Rock n Roll (replace snow crab for crawfish) and the crawfish roll.

If you were a fan of Cafe Zen, then you will love Sakura. The gyoza, salads, soups, and sushi are comparatively more flavorful. Even better, the fish-to-rice ratio for the sushi is significantly better than every other sushi place around. And of course, the service was great. Do not sleep on this place!

Every time I have gotten sushi from here it has been so delicious. Definitely worth getting food from here.

This is the best sushi restaurant in the entire New Orleans/ West Bank area. Food is delicious every time - so consistent. The service is always phenomenal. Highly recommend the stuffed jalapeños.

Been there a few times. The staff, waitress and chef's are all great, food is very good. The sushi is good and the sashimi is great. If the word can keep getting out they are going to be successful.

I ordered the Rainbow Box... which consist,,, Tuna... Eel... White Fish & Avocado... The fish was fresh and very tasty... Would recommened Sakura to anyone that enjoys sushi...

My wife and kids dropped in for dinner the other night after parading. Was not disappointed! We were promptly sat and drinks brought to us. We ordered four sushi rolls and some tempura for our kids. Wait was minimal despite the restaurant filed just over halfway. The food tasted great! We will certainly be going back again!

The wife & I had a serving of the Gyoza while waiting for our hibachi dinners. Everything was excellent. Nice portions and service. We’ll definitely be back to get the sushi and maybe some more gyoza!

Food is Great. Quality is awesome. Four times in a row have ordered for carry out and told 15 minutes. First and second waited 10 extra minutes. No big deal. Third time an extra twenty minutes. Now on the fourth, I’m told 15 min do I went 30 minutes after. Still waited about her 15 minutes. Should just be real about the wait time.

My husband and I shared an order of Gyoza while we were browsing the sushi menu. It was the best gyoza either of us had ever had. We also shared a spicy tuna roll, a spicy salmon roll, and a tiger roll. All three were very large rolls and absolutely delicious. Staff was very friendly. Atmosphere is very clean, and calm. I hope this place does very well. If you haven't tried it yet, I definitely recommend you give it a shot.
