Good food. Good service . Good local restaurant. Steaks were tender and tasty.

A solid no nonsense steak house. Ribeye and scallops were cooked to perfection however the broccoli was overcooked. The key lime pie was spot on. Service was also solid.

The owner went above and beyond accommodating our very large group at the last minute. They went so far as to provide a "party" size room well before the official opening time. Even with the size of our group, service was amazing (so patient with us-thank you!), food was tasty, and they actually managed to get everyone served at the same time. And the cheesecake…🤌 We are also huge believers in supporting local businesses! Thank you guys for taking care of our large family & friends💗

Typical steakhouse that never fails to impress. The management/ staff know what they are doing and do a great job here. I've never waited more than 10 mins for a table, steaks are always perfectly cooked, service staff do a great job. Best place in Crestview to get a good steak!

Had to leave in a hurry... the waitress was phenomenal at getting everything packed up. The food was cooked to perfection.... although I'm not used to having my steak grilled with no salt, the au jus made up for it. I will go back if I'm in the vicinity!

This is a weekly go to for us! We love the food! Beats other steak houses hands down! Our favorites are: the onion rings. The pretzel with cheese. Grilled chicken. Ribeye Steak. Shrimp. And brownie!

Family feel that you don’t get at the chain steak houses. Quiet atmosphere that is a great place to dine with friends and family!

The service was fast and friendly. The pork ribs and steak did not require a knife… ribs fell off the bones & I could have cut my medium NY strip with a fork. The boom-boom shrimp appetizer was great.. along with the artichoke/spinach dip. Worth every penny.

Steak was good but the salad was directly from a bagged lettuce so a little disappointing.

Stopped by Samuel's Roadhouse recently, and I have to say, it left me a bit disappointed. The food is pretty expensive for what you get, and unfortunately, it's more miss than hit. Some dishes were decent, but overall, the quality just didn't live up to the price. The atmosphere feels quite dated, and while the service was okay, it wasn't anything to write home about. With so many other options in town at similar price points, I don't think I'll be coming back. There are better places out there that offer more bang for your buck.

I only went to Samuel’s Roadhouse once while traveling through Crestview, but the NY strip I ordered was very good. I got Damien T as my server and he was very friendly, fast, and professional.

The service was fantastic! The place was clean and comfortable. It has a Western style decor. The steak was tender, and the food was good not great for the price. We ordered steak, kids fish (kid took one bite), chicken sandwiches. As for dessert, cheese cake was good but the peach cobbler wasn’t. Mushroom appetizer was ok. Plenty of parking was available and there was no wait on a Saturday around 5pm.

Excellent Ribeye, and Filet. The flavor is unbeatable, and cooked to the perfect temperature. The salad was a little small, but a FANTASTIC alternative to McQuires for $40-50.00 less cash , and zero tourist hassles. Texas Roadhouse had a 2 hour wait. Highly recommend. SHOP LOCAL, don't patronize mega chains. Y'all have gained customers for life.

Best steak I've ever had. A true gem in Crestview! My family has always preferred Texas Roadhouse when we wanted steak and were disappointed when we moved here almost a year ago that Crestview didn't have one. Samuel's changed ALL of our minds! Now that a one has opened up nearby, we choose Samuel's every single time! Now even extended family and friends who visit us requests we eat at Samuel's because they are all hooked also and know they won't get a steak that tastes that level of good anywhere else. Staff is fantastic also. Wait time is long on the weekend but so unbelievably worth it. I've traveled all over the country for business and eaten many steak dinners. Samuel's is the absolute best. Be sure to ask for extra Au Jus sauce. Truly amazing!

First time here and will now be one of our favorite places! The inside was cozy and inviting. The service was excellent. Everything we ordered was delicious. Great experience!

Great food. They were a little short-handed are far as the staff goes, but you couldn't tell. Great service. They were very attentive to our and others' needs. It was a good meal. I recommend this place.

Drink for my child took 2 reminders and over 10 minutes after ours, table behind us sat 10 minutes after us, also ordered a steak, got their food, 10 ADDITIONAL minutes and asking about ours..we finally get it. Other tables sat after us receive food..Fries are "heat lamp warm", steak is good, ribs dry and no bbq sauce ever brought out, never an offer to refill drinks. Manager dismissed all complaints (as the server vented in her ear in front of us)and gave us a whopping 25%off of 1 meal🙄. 1 meal=$2.11. We are regularly at this restaurant monthly. Very few problems usually..one issue after the other..a sincere apology by server or manager would have gone a long long way. We are great tippers. Yes still left a tip* DO better. PLEASE

Service: service was terrible, our main waiter was kinda rude. We kept on having multiple waiters and waitresses and couldn’t keep up with who was our actual server. Never really checked in on us, there’s an area for them outside in the back to loligag and not really be attentive, definitely when the restaurant is only open for a few hours. When it came to ordering we felt very rushed and felt disrespectful. We were there for a birthday event so just made everyone uncomfortable and that we were an inconvenience. Food: food was definitely not fresh and a lot of their menu items are not priced correctly compared to what was payed. When ordering items, description of the food is not at all what we got. I ordered for an appetizer the Pretzels, key word “Pretzels” not one but two. On their menu it says you get two pretzels but only got one and when I asked to get my second one I get an unapologetic sorry and an excuse and still got charged full price. I’m sorry but that’s called false advertisement and probably might bring it up and see where it gets them. We didn’t order too much to where it would be difficult for a party of 5. But consistently got most of our orders incorrect and forgot items, had to ask multiple times for our sides. When ordering the filet mignon, was not cooked correctly the 1st time and when it came out the second time we were fed up and just dealt with what was there and the side of fries they added on the plate soaked in the juice of the steak and made them super greasy and gross and never got them remade. All in all, paid $140 for food we all didn’t really eat Atmosphere: Honestly, and I mean this from the bottom of my heart. I know this place has been here for a bit and as someone who’s lived here for almost 9 years it has not changed and is still pretty bad. Honest Review: Just wait for Texas Roadhouse, they don’t disappoint!

I don't give out 5* too often. This place deserved it though. To start the host and waiter were well mannered and efficient. Even when working multiple tables. My drink and appetizer were served quickly. I got the crab claws, (great choice for an appetizer). The steak I got was cooked perfectly the way I like and was flavorful. The ribs were fall off the bone tender and cooked great. Sides were okay, I just got geen beans and broccoli. But yeah, if you're not from the area and here for work I would highly recommend this place. Get there early though!

I was in the mood for a good burger and fries. I got it! Hubby got a huge, beautiful steak and let me try his broccoli. So good! Staff was bright and pleasant. Beautiful smiles all around.

Everyone working seemed to be in a bad mood. While they weren't rude, we felt like we inconvenienced them by coming in. The food was OK-ish but sadly, I doubt we will ever return, especially when there are better options in town.

Great little steak place in Crestview.

Great locally owned steak house. Quick service and delicious food. My husband had the 8 oz Strip Steak with loaded baked potato. I had the 6 oz filet with mostly loaded baked potato and applesauce. We shared a mozzarella stick appetizer. Our waitress was friendly and helpful. Prices are market value, and very fair for the portion sizes.

We love Samuel's and my sister insists on us going when she visits from MO! The scallops are large compared to bay scallops. Crab claws are a great appetizer. Fried oysters are second only to the fried shrimp. Red sauce is very good, without the hot peppers of some places. Tartar sauce is good, but mine is better made with dried dill and a splash of lemon juice in it instead of sweet relish. The baked potato and other sides are very good, especially the fried okra, cheese grits and baked potato. Never any room for dessert!

My husband has been in hospital for a week and we've been taking his meals in. My son took in a ribeye steak with mushrooms and green beans. He said it was the best steak he's had here in Crestview in 5 years. Thank you.

Great server! McKenzie is personable, professional, Great attitude, and works hard to please her customers. She is a real joy! She deserves a raise, valuable employee.

My best friend and I went here on a Friday evening shortly after 8pm. We were not turned away and our server was fantastic, she didn't try to rush us out the door either. The food was on point as well. We will definitely return.

This is a casual family dining restuarant. The food is good and is portioned well. Nothing stands out as over the top but everything was Good. Definately recommend for casual meals with family! Service was friendly, fast and attentive.

Excellent service and the food was fresh and the steak was tender and delicious.

Instantly greeted as we came inside, the service by Heather was very attentive and appreciated. We ordered the boom boom shrimp and the sauce was so good we requested more to use for our entrees. We got there at 5:00pm and it was a good thing because there was only a few tables left. My only opinion that isn’t outright positive would be the atmosphere. More wall decor or intimate lighting would really pull the steakhouse vibes together. Otherwise our visit was amazing! Will definitely be visiting in the future!

This place is not fancy. I had a NY Strip salad and it was very good. Plain Jane salad, iceberg lettuce, tomatoes, shredded cabbage with Blue Cheese dressing. The NY Strip was served sliced, on top and rare as ordered. Very generous serving of steak. I would definitely eat there again. Priced right too. Full bar ( after 12 hours of driving a stiff drink helps) service was very friendly and efficient.

Samuel’s is an awesome restaurant. They went above and beyond today and opened up outside of their normal business hours for my family after a funeral which was blessing.

Amazing experience! We needed a place to gather after my dad's funeral and they were such a blessing. They opened early for our family to have a private party and the food was incredible! Thank you so much for helping us during his difficult time, it truly meant the world to us ❤️

Someone told me this was a front, and I believe it after today. Called in an order, customer service was poor but bc I’m a foodie, I’m ok putting up with some attitude for some good food. So with that said this is about the most flavorless food I’ve ever eaten. Steak and fries are so basic, I don’t think you can really do it wrong but alas I stand corrected. Not to mention they give you a baked potato, but it literally is just a potato in foil thrown in the oven and then given. No butter, salt, anything! I don’t even think it was washed. People have been bragging about this place to us and we were thoroughly unimpressed. Not sure if it’s different bc we ordered to go or what but either way, anticlimactic.

1st 3 times we ate here, it was really good, December 4th it was HORRIBLE!!!!!!! The ribs looked liked they had been boiled, no flavor, the steaks were over cooked and no flavor, the waitress walked to the table and asked how everything was, as soon as our son went to tell her, she turned and walked away, DEFINITELY not worth the 160.00!!!!!

Head cook will threaten to alter food if there is a guest eating there that he doesn’t like and he finds out you are dining there! And nothing done by management when he does this. I guess os you are related to the owner you can do what you like!

Very friendly service, food is awesome, 2 out if the 3 times service was slow but food is worth the wait, sat at bar bartenders disappeared for long periods ( first job of a bartenders is tend the bar) fixed it by ordering 2 beers at a time well worth the visit.

I had heard rave reviews about this restaurant but was really underwhelmed when we went. Food wasn't awful, but overpriced and as a steak lover the steak wasn't nearly as good as I was expecting after hearing reviews. It wasn't the worst I have ever had but the outside just tasted hard and charred while the inside was the medium rare that I requested. Definitely not worth the $25 it cost me. Biggest issue was how long it took to get our food. We got there right when they opened, second table to be sat down, and it took an hour and 15 minutes to get our food. I knew it was going to take a little bit longer because we had a bigger party, but not that long especially when it wasn't terribly busy for at least the first 30 to 40 minutes we were there. When they finally brought our food out they apologized and said they were waiting on my children's chicken fingers to cook. I immediately got my 2 year old's plate to cut up his chicken and the chicken was barely warm and felt like it had been sitting under the warmer for a while. It didn't have to cool off any for my son to be able to eat it. My steak and twice baked potato felt the same as well as the rest of the table's food. Just really made our entire table feel like we were completely forgotten about, and left a bad first impression on me and my immediate family. Especially when it cost my family of 5 a little over $90 before tip to eat dinner.

They really make a great hamburger (along with the tasty steaks). Food was great, servers were very friendly and attentive to me even though I was a single and a couple of large groups came in at the same time. Homemade peach cobbler was really good

The boom boom shrimp was the best i’ve ever had you can tell the shrimp was fresh not frozen the pepper jack boudin balls was darn skippy fine the blacken fish was excellent and the sautéed mushrooms was on point and the sweet potato is a must try the ribeye was tender flavorful well worth the money spent! Best dining experience in years! Ms Mckenzie was very attentive and pleasant Thank you we will be back!

We had our 51st year class get-together tonight with 50+ of us at Samuel’s Roadhouse and everything was wonderful! They were so accommodating, the food was delicious, the service was awesome and we all had a great time! Thank you to all who took care of us this evening!

My family and I have eaten at Samuel’s restaurant a handful of times. This restaurant is one of my favorite places to eat! We travel 45min from Ft Walton Beach just to eat here. It has a very family oriented, down-home country feel, and the restaurant has a large dining area, so there is never a long wait. The staff is friendly and the food is consistently hot, well cooked, and delicious! They use fresh ingredients and their steaks, ribs, and burgers are top quality and well cooked! I am not much of a drinker, but I always get a mixed drink when we eat here. They pour well and they use top quality mixers so the drinks are not thick and syrupy. Our favorite is the Lynchburg Lemonade! If you are visiting Crestview, I highly recommend you give Samuel’s Roadhouse a try!

Food and service was absolutely awsome steak melted in your mouth I have a very picky 15 year old great grandson that loves steak but is very picky about fries he not only ate the entire steak but all his fries as well he kept saying they were awsome. lots of juices from the steak as well.

Small town local establishment with good cooking

We travel all 48 states for business, so we frequently dine out. I can't remember the last time that we actually enjoyed a delicious, juicy, hot and perfectly cooked steak that melted in your mouth. The service was also exceptional. Been a long time since we had really friendly and competent service. Our server, Lauren, was exceptional as well. She made sure that we were well taken care of. Not once did we ever have to ask more than once for anything. In fact, most of the time Lauren was ahead of the game by having what we needed before we asked. I would and do highly recommend this establishment for your dining pleasure.

I’ve had 3 great experiences at Samuel’s Roadhouse, I felt the need to leave a review. The first time, I called for a pickup order and asked if they did curbside pickup, because my babies were sick and I didn’t want to come in. The lady who answered, Audrey, was so nice & accommodating and said she’d do it for me…bonus before I even tasted the food. The food was delicious, so that sealed the deal. I decided to try dine-in once we all got better and the food tasted even better fresh! Our waiter was Trent and he provided excellent service with a smile! My kids ate everything on their plates and this is one of a few places I’ve found in the area that sauté some of the seafood! This is now a staple spot for our family to get a delicious meal! Love it!

I'm a frequent flyer at Samuel's. The food is amazing and the staff is always friendly and helpful. They have one of THE best steaks around, in my opinion. The twice-baked potato is another one of my favorites. The atmosphere is quiet so you don't have to try to hold a conversation over loud music. I can't wait to go back.

Went for the first time. OMG! their ribeye steaks were so good. Just as tender as a filet and really juicy. Suggest getting the onions and mushrooms to put on top. Their bartender could use a bit of assistance in mixology. I'm a fan of long Island top shelf, but after two tries, I needed to settle for another drink. My wife had an Electric Smurf. That was pretty good. We will go back for the food again.

For a busy Saturday night they did get us in pretty quick. 1st time at a steak house where they ask you if you want a leaner cut of meat for a Ribeye. I liked that idea and got it! If I didn't live 350 miles away, I would return here to try something else.

6/30/23 - 6:15pm. Hadn’t been to Samuel’s in a long while and was craving a steak for dine-in service and resulted in no service at all. There was plenty of seating and empty tables available. The entrance lobby was empty of Guests. There’s a sign ‘Hostess Will Seat You’. No appearance of the “Hostess” for 10-15 minutes wondering seat myself or wait. Several servers helping Guests or walking by would look in my direction without saying or asking if I needed anything. When the “Hostess” did finally appear she stated nonchalantly that there was a waiting list. Really, with empty tables and no one waiting in the lobby other than myself. Didn’t even to offer dining at the bar. This Hostess and service is horrible. There are plenty of other fine dining steak places to go to in the area. I won’t waste my time again at this place waiting to be seated. Apparently the service has gone downhill since the last time I was there.

We were looking for a new place to go for Father's Day and decided to go here. Understandably it was busy, but we only had to wait 30 minutes for a table. The staff is fantastic and very nice, however, there were a few things about our food that they messed up. One of my nieces ordered a rare steak and got medium, and asked for an unsweet tea, but was given sweet, and didn't get her unsweet until 30 minutes later when her food came. My other niece ordered grilled fish and it was so overcooked and rubbery she could pick the entire filet up with her fork without it falling apart. They corrected the orders, but in total we were there about 3 hours, and my family isn't the kind to sit around after eating. Once we got home, my son realized he never got his corn on the cob, either. Overall, I wasn't that impressed. Steaks were tender, other then that, nothing special.

We have been here multiple times, this place has done down hill in the 9months we have been here. Staff needs completely retrained. We ordered our filets Medium both came out rare. Sent one back it came back as medium well. Should not take over an hour and a half for 2 people and medium steaks on a Tuesday night and the place have maybe 8 tables seated. Very disappointing.
