The service is always on point. The food is ok at its best. The crafted cocktails are quite perfect. The view of the ocean can't be beat, and that's where it all ends. The property is not very clean, and the prices are in the 20 to 30(40) per person for any meal.

Ordered the fish and chips, taste and portion are both mediocre. I expected more for paying 26 dollars for fish and chips. but I guess you come here for to chill at the beach not for food. The dinning area is right by the beach which was nice but it does get pretty warm during lunch time. it's a pretty laid back restaurant

Took the long way south from Cocoa. Great stop for lunch. Beautiful view of the water. The burger was delicious. Mahi tacos were great. We had beer and wine. Service was excellent everything arrived quickly. Destiny was the best bartender/server upstairs. If I’m in the area again I’ll be back

Great menu, service, and what a view!!

We visited family from Missouri here on a rainy day. We wanted to sit outside and a little hard to seat 6 and avoid drops under overhang. It quickly dried up. We had great service and good food with a great view.

Breakfast: Good eggs Benedict, and surprisingly good biscuit w/ gravy. Breakfast potatoes are stellar & you can swap for fresh fruit (mostly berries) if you'd like. Jennifer was our server and such a pleasure. Lunch: The Sands burger is on a standard bun, but the patty is loosely packed and not over-pressed so even a well done burger is tender and juicy inside. It has carmelized onions and arugula on it for flavor and texture. The Bleu cheese dressing is great, but the side salad is pretty small for $4 - about the size of your fist, with lettuce, red onion, tomato. Wish they could set you up with a side included since the sandwiches are $15-$19 and sides are $4-6. There's a decent beer selection, with a couple IPAs on draught & lots of bottles to choose from. We also got the chicken caprese sandwich which was on a baguette with mozzarella, basil spread (not the traditional pesto I was expecting, but good), arugula, and grilled chicken. Next time I go back I'll get the burger again, as the chicken was good but something about it felt oily & I needed some Tums after. 😅 Downstairs has a beautiful view and larger tables along the railing, upstairs has more side-by-side bar-like seating and a few tables for two along the railing. There are larger tables upstairs that are further from the railing where the view is, though. Our server wasn't very proactive with information about the menu or drinks, and they may have taken a break at a point because we only saw them twice. Other servers occasionally checked in on us though, so service as a whole was good. Love the view, love the setup, prices are okay, burger is excellent.

Hubby and I had an excellent server/ bartender. We thought she was a manager. Jennifer was amazing yesterday! Will definitely be back and only want her!

Great place! We had a burger, fries and grilled mahi tacos, and to-die-for keylime pie. Highly recommended.

The restaurant is in need of alot of work. The refrigerator behind the bar was falling apart. The chicken quesadilla tasted fishy like it was stored in the same area of refrigerator or maybe cooked on the same grill.

Not sure how to start..just an overall horrible experience. The food was overly spicy. Our main dish had to be taken back twice because they just tried to remove what wasn't suppose to be on/in it-they forgot to remove it from the middle. Second time they just changed the plates.Waitress seemed to be lost and then just disappeared. We have had better seafood and service at Golden Corral. I would definitely not recommend this place 👎

I came here on a date with my boyfriend and sat upstairs and wow, the view is gorgeous! It's right on the beach and there's a nice walk way down to the beach from the entrance of the restaurant so after we ate that was awesome to do. Also the food was so good I had the fettuccine chicken Alfredo and it was amazing I'm definitely getting it again next time! I'd definitely recommend this place.

They definitely don’t care about service at this place. We waited upstairs for 20 mins before I had to stand up and grab my own menus. Eventually after 0 service I went downstairs and was met with an uneducated waitress that knew nothing of the menu or bar service. The view is cool but everything else about this place is bad with lazy employees that don’t care. I’d suggest finding another beachfront restaurant, there are lots in the area that actually provide service.

Overpriced and food doesn’t come with sides. Tables were wobbly, sticky, and had scum on them. Food was greasy and gave us all ria. Will not return.

This is such a fun place to brings friends and family to eat, drink and hangout on the beach. They have private beach access and a fun rooftop bar. The food is pricy and the paint is old but its a fun stop

When you come, the second floor is where it's at. Ask for Kerry! She will definitely take care of you. The drinks were beyond on point. My husband & I came here and the service was great but the drinks were even better. I definitely recommend coming here for beach side drinks. I truly enjoy the vibes and views. This is a must when coming to Melbourne. Don't miss the opportunity to eat and have amazing drinks with Kerry by the water.

First time, not the last time. Had shrimp quesadillas and tuna tacos. The best. Service excellent and scenery beautiful.

The chicken Alfredo was excellent. Could've done with more chicken but still very good. Excellent location right on the beach.

Stopped in here for lunch driving thru the area and MAN am I glad I did. This place has one of the best bacon burgers I have ever eaten. The bacon is smoked and thick cut, the burger is a ribeye grind and super juicy and smokey. The drinks are cold and the seasoned fries are SO GOOD. Will definately stop here to satisfy a beef craving. Also... SHOUT OUT TO JAKE!!! The worlds best server/ bartender. He is awesome, polite and quick if you need anything. When you stop in ask for Jake. He will make sure you have a great experience.

Calm place that has kind of an island bar feel. It's not over crowded like cocoa beach. Free access and parking to the ocean for customers. We went there and swam in the ocean twice. Sooo beautiful!

We went on father's day because it was the only place that wasn't packed when we got there. The food was good the service was good even though they were short staffed. The place is nice enough but they definitely need more fans. Even the staff agreed with that. That's the only reason giving 4 stars instead of 5. I don't like sweating in my food inside where it's supposed to be cooler.

My personal favorite of the area. We eat here at least twice every year when we’re in town.

Picture it, Sunday morning. Sitting on the balcony as the sun rises. Sipping coffee and eating shrimp and grits with my favorite person. Life in Florida doesn't get much better. 10/10

Food was good but not as good as it used to be. Mahi wrap, fish and chips and cheese burger were good. The sand burger is not what it used to be back a few years ago. Not the signature and not worth the cost. Service is superb and the environment is nice!

Great atmosphere, great location, great service, great food!

I've been here quite few times. I don't see any improvements on services. Today I arrived 11:05am, asked for breakfast menu. ' sorry, our breakfast already ended ". I am by myself, really? You couldn't be a little more friendly and open an exception? Following I asked for a couple of coffee, the mug had lip stick marks on, I asked for a new cup of coffee, no even an apology was saying back to me. I've been sitting here for 15 minutes and the table next to me just got their breakfast. I am from Vegas, and I work in the industry. I am very frustrated right now. This is a beautiful place with so much potential . Poor service always. The owner needs to know how poor it is. The food is good, but the service is always poor and today it was beyond poor.

It's such a beautiful location for a restaurant. Very friendly staff and great food. I ordered a Beach Burger and a basket of fries for the table. They were both absolutely delicious, and the view was absolutely beautiful.

Went with a friend 🧡, she loves the atmosphere which I agree! Right on the beach! The food was good but just ok, nothing to write about. We both had burgers and fries, and they were good, but I had bacon and blue cheese. The blue cheese had to be the most flavorless blue cheeseI have ever had. The service was LACKING in that the bartender was playing waitress as well (not her fault). The server that brought our food looked at me like a had 3 heads when we asked for silverware, ketchup, and mayonnaise. He came back with two small take out size containers of ketchup and mayonnaise(1 of each!) and no silverware 🙄. Finally, my friend went to the bar to ask the bartender, who rushed over with a bottle of ketchup, the silverware, and additional napkins. She was great, but was doing 2 jobs. Will probably go back as I usually give everyone a second chance. So, if you want to have a drink and watch the ocean, this is your place. If you are looking for a black and blue burger, find another place.

I’m not sure this place could get any better. The view was stellar, the staff were personable and attentive, the food was excellent and the beach access topped it all off. And that was just for a breakfast date with my wife. Can’t wait to come back and try out the upstairs bar and dinner!

While visiting my sister, we had lunch at Sand on the Beach. Jennifer was amazing and patient There were so many items on the menu I was having a problem deciding. I loved their tacos Lots of fresh ingredients and tuna was perfect. You have to go there and experience this lovely place yourself.

Appetizers came out after food did. One meal at a time came out so no one got to eat together. Got my daughter's food to go because we were all done eating before we got it. Ordered a pina colada we never got. We were told they had sangria over the phone drove 26 minutes to find out they don't and it qas the reason we came. Onions were over powering the burger there was sooooo much of it. The fish dip was very salty.

My husband and I have been going to this restaurant for a while now and solely because it's on the ocean and a beautiful spot, we've gone back again. It's the kind of place where you learn early on not to expect much. My husband orders bottled beer, I order the same drink that comes out differently each time it's mixed (mojito - NOT hard, once the bartender even broke an entire bottle of rum and then gave me a mojito without rum), the service is slow and we typically only get a salad and sandwich because the food is meh. The last time we went, however, was definitely our last time. The entire staff was upstairs partying at the bar with customers or friends (who knows?) and we waited almost 20 minutes without getting a glass of water or a menu. We were completely ignored as we sat there watching and listening to them laughing, drinking and having a great time. It wasn't busy. We were literally one of two groups there. We got up and started walking out and a waitress finally grabbed two menus and ran over to us saying she was "just about to bring us menus". We said no thanks we're good and started walking away. That's when some people partying at the bar started shouting rude comments to us as if we were being unreasonable. It's a real shame because as I said this is a beautiful spot. Whoever owns this is going to lose it. There are less and less people there each time we go. We won't be back until it changes owners.

What an amazing location with fantastic views of the beautiful white sand beach. Great service and the coconut shrimp and fish tacos were awesome.

5 stars all around! Food was great in front of a PERFECT view and the staff was AWESOME. Very reasonably priced as well. Great spot to stop with the family or spouse before heading down to the beach!

I rarely ever leave a bad review but this place sucks. I think the place lacks good restaurant management. Eggs were barely warm, the biscuits gravy was terrible as were the potatoes. We were told the kitchen was 45 minutes behind. The place was somewhat busy but not packed. I had to give it 4 stars on atmosphere because it’s on the beach. Without the beach this restaurant would be out of business in 2 months.

Terrible food. Old and run down. Staff was friendly. Been hesitant to try this place because of the poor reviews. Finally went here and was super disappointed. Lobster bisque was salty and lacked flavor. Calamari was dry and leathery. Lobster ravioli was really just lobster bisque with ravioli in it. Salmon piccata looked and tasted like a TV dinner. Would not recommend.

Drove over from Kissimmee to have breakfast. We sat upstairs facing the ocean. What a great view!! Service was good. Staff was all friendly. I would definitely make the trip again.

First time visiting Melbourne and visited Sand on the Beach upon my friend’s recommendation and it truly was a spectacular experience. Since it’s located right next to the beach side, you get a perfect view of the beautiful waves! The only downside of this place is the excessive amount of pests there, such as lovebugs and flies. There were at least 5 flies perched on chairs adjacent to throughout our entire meal which made me feel uneasy at times; however, the view and time spent I had with my friend made it bearable. As for my meal, I had ordered the California Benedict with the home fries and I’d like to say the potatoes were cooked and seasoned to perfection with nice crisp skin to it. The benedict itself was also flavorful and well worth the price. Overall lovely experience besides the frequent bugs, I will definitely be coming back!

Sand in the Beach hosted my husband’s retirement party on a Saturday evening. The management was so helpful and attentive and easy to work with. Most of all, they were excited for our celebration and so much fun! The food was delicious, drinks were flowing and they even suggested a DJ to set the party vibe for us. Everyone loved the party and had wonderful things to say in the days following. Thank you to everyone at Sand on the Beach!

Dinner was meh. My shrimp and grits required a spoon. It was more like a soup. My sons wicked shrimp bowl was just ok, and my husbands tuna tacos were good but not worth the price(everything was much more expensive while the quality had gone down . Our fish dip was excellent. They no longer offer their $5.00 drink special, and the servicer wasn't attentive. It makes me wonder if there was a change in ownership, as it was a good 4.5-5.0 across the board a year ago when we were there, and there were only a few customers on a Friday night…no one at the bar.. So disappointing, as this used to be my favorite when visiting Melbourne Beach.

We were there for breakfast, but because of the long wait we ended having brunch. Our food was delicious and our waiter was so kind and courteous. It's a great spot on the beach!

Lobster Rueben not lobster, their prices resemble a clean beachfront 5 star restaurant… this place is dirty, warm beer, small portions, food tastes bland with no seasoning. Save your money

We came to spend the day at Melbourne Management staff at the hotel where we’re staying recommended this place to go and hang out and grab a bite to eat. little did we know that we got treated very nice by Jake, server & Bartender he was top-notch professional and Hospitable , Definitely will come back

I don't see why this is not #1. If it is 16, this is an undiscovered gem, and we have gone here at least 2 times for at least 4 years that we travel to our time share from Winston Salem. It's casual, the service is great, the view is looking at the beach. the downstairs is covered but open to the breezes . Jo Anna is a great bar keep and waitress. Bahama Mama is now my favorite thanks to her. Parking is nearby. the only thing that may deter folks is it is a bit distant from downtown. But isn't good food, service and view worth maybe the 15 -20 min drive from Eau Gally at rt A1A? My wife had The Mahi, and I had the Salmon entrée. Both were grilled beautifully and I am sure they were fresh, unlike other nearby seafood places.

Very windy. Napkins and menus kept blowing off the table. Was seated quickly, but no one came to take our order for drinks or food. We decided to go somewhere else.

My dad's best friend is a local and he brought my wife and I out to eat. The staff was friendly... And even sang us an impromptu version of a "happy wedding" song... Kinda like "happy birthday".. But more messy and about us being married... We had the calamari and loved it!! 10/10 would recommend.

Had such a great experience at the super casual beach bar in Melbourne Beach, Florida. The owner was super friendly and open for feedback. Our waiter was attentive and had great suggestions. If you’re looking for a place right on the water, there aren’t many in the area so make sure you stop by! Great view, chill atmosphere to just ride your bikes up to and enjoy a cold beverage and some tasty beach fair. Worth a visit for sure☀️

The location is excellent and exactly what you’re looking for on the beach. There was one little issue with a menu item that was not exactly what I expected but it was swiftly taken care of. The Manager’s special chicken sandwich was very good. I enjoyed my Cosmo and the lobster bisque was right on par with most restaurants that serve seafood. There is good access for those with disabilities as well.

The restaurant looks old and dirty and smells musky. You can tell the food is processed, not fresh. It was pretty expensive. It's not worth it. Service was ok, not great. Has a nice view, that's the only good thing that I can say about the place.

The location is exactly what you are looking for. There had 1 little issue with a menu item but it was swiftly taken care of. Wait staff and management are excellent and super friendly/ responsive. We had the lobster bisque and the special chicken sandwich (a management creation) which was very good. We will definitely be back next week!!!

Literally the worst food I’ve ever had at a restaurant. Nice view for a drink but I’d rather eat at Wendys

I can't think of any other beachside restaurants this close to the beach in Brevard, at least not buffered by a parking lot. Great location and vibe. We went on a Friday evening. The downstairs was about 25% full, a couple people at the bar. The upstairs rail seating was mostly full of folks looking at the water, the bar area was empty. We sat downstairs enjoying the sea breeze. It took about 10 minutes to be acknowledged by our server. I got a whiskey sour, it tasted like a margarita from a can. After ordering shrimp tacos and lobster bisque we didn't see our server again for about half hour. Tables seated after us were receiving their food. When the food came it was ok, overpriced but we knew we're paying for the view. But by this time were already discussing other beach and riverside restaurants we like better. Being so quiet on a Friday evening was an indicator. We were joking that we wouldn't be surprised to see Jon Taffer come out and start yelling at people.

Honestly people come here for the view and not the food. Food came out warm not hot, paid $16 for 6 wings. You can tell EVERYTHING was frozen and store bought. The food used to be much better than this, unsure what happened. I would have rather spend more $$ if the food was like real real like cooked fresh.

First time here and was disappointed. Service was horrible. We waited for over 10 minutes for a server to even take our drink orders. Felt like our server kept forgetting us in between everything. It wasn't busy when we were sat. Food was cold and did not taste as expected. Would definitely not come back.

Open air patio on first floor with exceptional view of the ocean surf. Very friendly and helpful wait staff. Bathrooms are tucked away near the front, but were easy to find. Prices are moderate but the flavor is exceptional.

Wonderful the sand salad was the very best salad I have had

Service was great, but the manager and staff arguing the entire time was awful, ordered the wagyu steak, they ended up being out and I was offered a sirloin instead which was totally fine with me, the plate brought to me was terrible, it was horrible “steak” sliced super thin, ice cold, and slimey, best way to describe the plate was dog food. Ended up having to get a kids chicken tender meal, which was also horrible. 1 star just because of the service. Won’t be back ever again.

The bloody Marys were good, but the service was slow and the menu limited. Great location.

Came in on a Monday around 3pm. Plenty of seating. Got a table on the patio with an ocean view. The atmosphere is what you expect from a beachside restaurant. The drinks were cold. Food was so so. No flavor and you can tell a lot of the sauces were from a can while the seafood seemed like it was cooked from a freezer. Really sad considering we are on the ocean. Expected more fresh tasting seafood. Will probably not be returning.
