We had several appetizers like the Cuban empanadas, croquetas, and steak tostones, which were all amazing. My grandmother being Cuban the dishes were very similar to what I’ve eaten growing up but even better!! We’re already dying to come back it was so good. Clear attention to detail in the food here. Service was very helpful and patient. Highly recommend, not to mention how cheap it is to get a lot of food here!

Everyone in our group was delighted with their meal! It was so delicious, all the ingredients tasted fresh, the sauces were flavorful! And the service was wonderful: only one person was manning the front of the restaurant. She was lovely, thoughtful, and friendly - yet efficient. The only negative was that the cleaning product used in the dining area was very strong and it gave a headache to the chemically-sensitive person in our group. I wouldn't suggest eating in if you have chemical/ perfume allergies.

I visited this place for the first time today. The service is excellent as is the food. We chose a paisa tray, Old Clothes, mamey juice 👌, croquettes, fried yucca, in addition to the exquisite Cuban coffee ☺️. I recommend this place to the 💯.

Amazing food and wonderful people! Everything was delicious, and the waitress was so friendly and helpful. It's the best! Their tres leches was divine!

HANDS DOWN SOME OF THE BEST BEANS I EVER ATE!! Alright first and foremost I know nothing about Cuban or Latin food. I walked past this place and got a whiff of something when the lady opened the door to leave with a DoorDash order and did a double take. I walked in and started getting nervous because I don't speak one bit of Spanish. The young lady at the front seen I clearly never been in there before and she described what was in the meals perfectly. I ended up sampling some of the NEW ITEMS they had on the chalk board up front that had the ingredients broken down and the menu was also in English so I didn't have to worry anyway. So I ordered and the meals were very affordable I think $20 bucks may have been the highest item I got but the entrees and burgers came with 2 sides which where really good. The Congri was undefeated on the plate and whatever that House Special with all the meat, plantains, and the beans. I can't even lie to you, I felt like I was on a ready to book a flight IMMEDIATELY. They had a Passionfruit drink and please get it with WATER. I didn't listen and got one with water and one with Milk...That water in this Baton Rouge heat hit the spot. I ended up going back the same day with my wife and she got stuffed off the appetizers. The Empanadas are perfect I had a Cuban Beef and a Regular Chicken on the return trip. The steak was cooked great and the Tres Leche Cake....GO THERE AND TRY IT..IT'S REALLY GOOD!!

First time here yesterday. We had Cuban food. Everything was hot, fresh and delicious! We will be coming back indeed. Everything was on point.

Authentic cuban and colombian food! Better than most places in South Florida! If you want to make your taste buds dance💃🏻, come here! They have a Paisa bowl which is perfect if you don't want the whole bandeja paisa --rice beans chlcharron sausage egg arepa avocado 🤤🤤. Their ropa vieja and cuban sandwich are also delicious!

This place is absolutely amazing!! We tried the croquetas, Colombian and Cuban empanadas, Cuban sandwiches, sweet plantains, congri, loaded and side tostones. Everything was wonderful, you can’t go wrong with Sazón. This just became our new favorite restaurant!!

The food is amazing, Ropa, Vieja and the Cuban sandwiches are so good. This is coming from a Cuban also. The service needs to be worked on. It is also extremely clean and that’s a plus.

Stopped in to pick up lunch to go. I got the stuffed potato balls absolutely delicious! Who knew that fried mashed potatoes stuffed with beef could not be heavy! I also got the black beans which was perfectly seasoned. I'll be back to try more items.

Took my husband out for a lunch date to a new spot we've been wanting to try. Yall. We found a Cuban place this summer out of town and LOVED it. Wished we had something local. When I discovered there was a Cuban spot right here on O'Neal, we had to try it, and we will be back very soon to try the rest of the menu! Food, service, Cuban coffee, supporting small business. This is no joke that this may be the best restaurant on this side of Baton Rouge. My empanadas were to die for.

I have personally meet the owner of this restaurant and they are so nice and welcoming! The food is delicious and the atmosphere is very nice. Anyone not going to eat there is definitely missing out!

I am delighted to be able to get great Cuban food in Baton Rouge. Vaca Frita is what I crave and they deliver! All of the food is wonderful. If you have un-adventurous eaters in your group they do have burgers, salads, and a kids menu. It’s a nice cute cafe without a lot of atmosphere, built out in a small strip center, but it is extremely clean and well maintained. I have been several times and the service has always been really good and attentive, but if they are super busy it can be slow getting your food, but that was soon after they opened and I think they were overwhelmed by the crowds. It has not been an issue the last few times I’ve gone, but just ask in advance if you’re in a time crunch. Not much English is spoken, so if your Spanish is as bad as mine be prepared to use Google translate. Although I haven’t really had any problem ordering, and the lack of English just proves the authenticity of the place.

Excellent Latino food. Highly recommend. Not your everyday Mexican food. Try something different and enjoy this place. Will return. Highly recommend.

Second visit: Came for croquetas, Cuban and Colombian Empanadas, Ropa Vieja, yuca fries and flan. Once again had a great experience. This time the flan was beautiful. If you love Cuban food as I do, you must come and support this place. It is a rare gem in Baton Rouge. The black beans were very traditional and remined me of my grandmother's. The ham and cheese empanadas were fried to perfection and the sauce was amazing. Not sure what it was but it was a little sweet and spicy and tasted fresh. The yuca fries were fresh, crispy and tasty. The cuban sandwich could have been toasted a little more but other wise was on point with flavor and fresh ingredients. The flan may not be the prettiest but once you taste it, you will rejoice in pleasure. Perfectly creamy and just the perfect texture. One of my favorite flans. The atmosphere was very pleasant and relaxing. The place was surprisingly empty for the time of day. Should be busy, the food here is special.

Some friends came here and loved it so I decided to give it a try too. Absolutely delicious food, so glad I came. Definitely get the tostones, it's like avocado toast but no one judges you. And I got the chicken stuffed arepa, and that was quite delicious too. The service was very good too, even if the atmosphere is the regular stripmall restaurant. But the food makes up for any issues.

It was okay, but the predominant flavor was just garlic. The fried appetizer pies were ok at best. Black beans lacked depth of flavor. Skirt steak was chewy.

My wife is Cuban and a chef, so she's a tough critic. Nevertheless, she really enjoyed the empanadas, the vaca frita, the sauces, and more items than I can spell in Spanish or English. The service was excellent. The atmosphere was definitely relaxed and authentic. We will be back!

Ate at Sazon's for first time, and the food was delicious. Had the tostones with shrimp, and the arepas with chicken, and both were wonderful. This is not a fast food place, so be prepared for a short wait for your meal, but it was worth it. I will definitely go back to try a few more things, and definitely will have the tostones again.

The food is good, but the service is very slow. For a place named seasoning, the food was a little bland.

The only place I know in Baton Rouge that sells Cuban & Columbian food. Give this place a try.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Sazon Latin Grill, and I must say it was a 5-star experience from start to finish! Sazon Latin Grill serves up a vibrant and delectable array of Latin cuisine that truly satisfied my taste buds. Each dish was bursting with authentic flavors and expertly crafted with a touch of culinary finesse. From the first bite to the last, I was transported on a Flavorful Journey!

My experience at sazon was amazing. I have lived in Miami for years and I have not had latin food that good as I did in Baton Rouge of all places. Every single meal I had ordered off the menu made me audibly want to "mmm" in excitment. I had a difficult time choosing what to eat my first time going there because of the great options but I seltled on my main dish being the havana burger with yuca fries and the loaded tostones. I loved every bite of what I ate and would highly reccomend eating at sazon if you are in the Baton Rouge area. Thank for the amazing service with what I hear is only a two man job in the kitchen.

Baton Rouge needed Cuban / Colombian food . We loved The restaurant this weekend . My favorite was Vaca Frita . Restaurant was running a little slow since they are very newly business but I didn’t mind sticking around with the great appetizers they had and the fruit smoothies . Must try Batido de Mamey

Very good Authentic Cuban Food and Also best Colombia Bandeja Paisa I tried . Place is brand new , they were short of staff this weekend . But atmosphere and food was amazing I hope they stay around for a long time . Will definetly be back soon .. I recommend you Try the loaded plantains with guacamole and steak … it was Awesome

I'm so happy that there is finally a Cuban restaurant in town. The food is amazing, you can tell they are recipes that have been passed down through the family. The restaurant is clean and open and inviting. Chef Danny came out to check on things, he is very friendly. Well definitely be back soon!

As a Colombian, I can vouch that the food was A-1. The stuffed arepa was great, and I recommend the churrasco which was absolutely amazing. Great service, the whole staff is friendly and attentive. Overall a great experience.

Went on a day it rained right before they closed. Food was still fresh and service was amazing. The host speaks predominantly Spanish. So make sure you study some phrases so you can order appropriately. She was very patient with me using Google translate.

This is a very authentic Cuban restaurant, tastes as good as the ones in Miami (even better then many), great friendly atmosphere and latin music. I had the Churrasco with chimichurri sauce with black beans and fried plantains, my son had the Vaca Frita ‘fried cow’ with french fries and fried yuca. All was very tasty. Will definitely come back.

I absolutely loved this place. It is going to be my new favorite for sure. The food was delicious, fresh, and the protons are bigger than expected. They are fairly new to the area and hidden but a gem.
