A family friendly place for great food with vegan options. The waitstaff was super friendly; the food was quickly delivered and tasted amazing. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

The food is always amazing!!!! The prices are awesome for the fresh, organic, delicious dises they offer. The staff are a bit strange, and the guy at the cash register seems to want a tip when you come in to pick up your Togo order. I wish they had outdoor seating that would make it even better! We LOVE this place so much we drive from Jax bch often for the food here.

There’s egg salad, and then there’s Manatee Cafe’s egg salad! Not sure how they make it so delicious here. Could not shovel it in my mouth quick enough. My only request is that they stay open later. 😋

I ordered the Tofu Reuben because it looked delicious and not because it was vegan, it just so happened to be. Not only did it meet my expectations, it far surpassed them. This proves that you can still make incredible, flavorful dishes while only using vegan ingredients. I also love the atmosphere and the service. Just an amazing little cafe. Loved this place so much ❤️

We stayed in St. Augustine Beach overnight on a road trip and stopped at Manatee Cafe first thing when we arrived. We liked it so much that we returned the next morning for breakfast. The food was tremendous and a lot of vegan dishes on the menu. The staff was super nice and the atmosphere laid-back and comfortable. Very affordable pricing and big portions. We wish this place was closer to home. Next time we're in the area, we will definitely return.

My favorite location for a healthy or gluten free breakfast in St. Augustine. I had a lovely veggie omelet (hold sweet potato) and my spouse had the gluten free pancakes with a side of eggs.

Amazing fresh food with great flavor, big menu, fun beverages, good prices mostly $10-$12 for meal with side and an exceptionally kind staff. 10/10 lunch experience.

Let me first start out by saying that Manatee Cafe has been one of my favorite restaurants for like 10 years. I do not get to go a lot, but I went today for the first time in long time and it is just as phenomenal as it always has been! I get the Cajun chicken every time and I can say without hesitation that it is the greatest chicken dish I have ever eaten and probably in my top 3 favorite dishes of all time. Thank you all so much for everything and I will see you again soon!

Man, oh manatee, this place is exactly what we were looking for. Great vegetarian options, cozy atmosphere laden with plenty of manatee art, and friendly service. Even gave us to go drinks in sustainably manufactured eco-styrofoam. And yes, the potatoes are 💯 the move.

This is a favorite spot in Saint Augustine! Really great breakfast burrito! Make sure you try it with the "cheese" dressing made with nutritional yeast. It is so delicious. Don't forget to check out the neat local vender set ups near the entrance! We got a bunch of gifts for friends and family there.

I have lost so much weight switching from fast food for lunch to Manatee Cafe! Many yummy options. I'm not vegan or vegetarian but the way the food is cooked here you don't miss the meat. Try the veggie burger and the bagel sandwich! Their hash browns are great too!

Lots of excellent vegetarian and vegan options on the menu, plus non veg items. We really enjoyed the vegan French toast, veggie burger, udon noodles, and tofu grilled cheese.

Loved it! Omelettes were delish with lots of different cut up veggies. Breakfast potatoes were yummy and crispy, GF bread was good and GF chickpea pancakes were yummy, too! They came with nicely cut up variety of fruit, not your standard boring cantaloupe/grape combo. Will definitely come back on our next visit to St. Augustine.

Was in St. Augustine 10 years ago when on a whim tried out this small cafe. I had the most amazing omelette that I continued to think about. 10 years later we are back in St Augustine and had to come back. The omelette was as good as I remembered! My wife loved her wrap too.

I've been going to the manatee Cafe ever since its inception. I no longer live in the area but now whenever I travel through I make it a point to stop and get my favorite, their breakfast burrito. It's loaded with healthy goodness and works for breakfast, lunch or dinner. 👍😍👏😋

Warm and relaxing space. Food is incredible. After eating there for almost 30 years, still my favorite lunch in St. Augustine. Usually get the Burrito #1 and red zinger. Very fresh and tasty. Large portions. Even if you’re not vegetarian, you’ll love it!

My orders are a little picky and they have a hard time making custom orders. The girl working there was a little aggressive regarding me giving a large tip to fix my order. The food is healthy and I appreciate what they provide.

Pretty great spot to visit for vegan and vegetarian food. They do have a few things with chicken or turkey also. This is probably my wife's favorite restaurant. Service is good and the food is excellent, especially the hummus and chips. The interior is a little faded and worn but clean. The prices are reasonable.

The food is delicious! Vegetarian friendly and Gluten-Free friendly. I had the veggie burger with home fries, others with me had an egg salad with Tabouli and chips, and scrambled eggs and home fries. The staff was very friendly and considerate of our dietary needs.

Stopped here on a whim to grab brunch with my husband. I have dietary restrictions that require me to eat vegan for a lot of dishes (no dairy or eggs for me). It was wonderful to have French toast that was vegan and tasted delicious! My very not vegan husband enjoyed his breakfast burrito. Only constructive criticism would be to add different textures to the burrito as everything was soft and squishy (scrambled eggs, mashed sweet potatoes, hummus, mashed avocado, etc). Needs something firm or crunchy; maybe swap the mash for crispy sweet potato hash with sautéed onions. The fruit was a pleasant surprise, not the usual boring grapes and apples but a wide variety that was obviously cut fresh that morning. The potatoes were perfection and cannot be improved. Hubby loved the datil pepper hot sauce and coffee so much, we purchased both to take home. We live locally and love supporting small businesses. Loved the local art and plants for sale. Final critique would be that the location needs a bit of sprucing up; the building felt dingy and the table and chairs were showing a lot of wear and tear.

We can't believe we hadn't found this gem before now. My vegan friend was delighted and my other vegetarian and I loved it. The food was hot, perfectly spiced, just plain delicious. I had the Cajun tofu pita with homemade hummus and blue corn chips.

I went in on the advice of an old fellow employee. Definitely enjoyed the atmosphere. I noticed many repeat locals. I tend to go in regularly now for the smoothies. The employees are always cheerful; a definite plus nowadays.

2nd visit in 2 days and the Tofu scramble with mixed greens was absolutely delectable.

The vegan grilled cheese and tofu is [chef's kiss] delicious! The sandwich was absolutely delectable, and the salad and mixed green dressing were both amazing. I had my to-go order prepared well with to-go cutlery. The ambiance is nifty. Highly recommend for all vegans.

It's a shame that the decent food is completely overshadowed by the horrific service and apathetic demeanors of the staff. I stood at the entrance for a solid 5 minutes (with no one ahead of me) before one of the two only visible employees finally acknowledged that I was there and showed me to an open table. Another five minutes before the other employee came to ask my order. My lunch was delivered to my table without a word spoken. It was a very awkward, off-putting experience overall. It almost felt like I had wandered into a stranger's home unannounced, interrupted what they were doing, and asked them to serve me lunch.

Today was my first time trying The Manatee cafe. I ordered chicken salad on a crossiant. Hummus and chips on the side. Everything was very good. Absolutely will order from here again. The lady's working were also very nice. 🙏

Not often do my taste buds dance for joy, but here they did. The Cajun pita was perfectly spiced and the burrito #2 was a blend of black beans and avocado.

GF and vegan friendly! Awesome crispy Belgian style GF waffle with bananas and walnuts; hubby had mixed fruit with his. Fresh and yummy! Organic coffee was smooth and tasty. Would go here often if we lived here!

Not the most friendly staff but there is one waitress she is amazing and when she is there she's great ! ( I need to ask her name...), but the food is FANTASTIC and always consistent. We go there at list once a week!

Not much of a review kinda guy. My girlfriend and I came here for lunch on my birthday trip, and my god they are amazing!! Very reasonably priced. She had their tofu scramble, hot tea, and a vegan pancake with bananas. I had the stir fry with Cajun chicken, and their miso soup. If you’re looking for a healthy feel good spot to eat, check them out. Mike the owner is a very nice guy as well.

We had lunch here. Small and quaint with cute decor. Vegan and vegetarian friendly. Food is delicious. Gotta get the hashbrowns, they are outta this world especially with the hot sauce which isn't very spicy but has great flavor. I had the grilled cheese and tofu sandwich, we also had the pizza with vegan cheese, tofu rueben, and breakfast burrito with tofu eggs. Everything was flavorful, fresh, and well seasoned. Staff is very friendly. Definitely recommend.

Hole in the wall place. Never would expect a small Cafe to have big taste. They have been operating for a long time and even used to be located downtown. The atmosphere is very laid-back, you will not feel rushed. They specialize in gluten free meals.

This was seriously the BEST vegan food I've had. It's clear the chef/owner puts her heart into all her dishes! They were training new staff today and everyone was doing an amazing job taking care of a busy ground and pumping food out quickly! This will be our new spot when we visit St. Augustine! Always a 5 star dining experience. They serve delicious savory healthy food fast. Not fast food. My go to is their tofu Reuben. Omelettes are awesome too. Plenty of options available. Try them all.

I was looking for a quiet breakfast place and I found it. I didn't realize it was mostly a vegan place but that's ok! My French toast and strawberries were fantastic. The iced coffee I had was really good. I did feel a little outta place because I look like an amoeba, but the waitress was very nice and my food came out really fast.

I cannot possibly go to Saint Augustine without stopping at the Manatee Cafe. Every single time it has been spot on absolutely positively delicious! Don't let the hippie vibe freak you out. I am a big bacon steak meat eater. But this place is the best veggies option ever!
