Loved the variety and quality of the trees! Rich was so knowledgeable and friendly! He helped us find the perfect Weeping White Pine! Go see him if you need a beautiful tree!

I have debated writing this for months. I use to highly recommend Frisella. No longer is this true. We bought large pines and had them planted by your workers. The second pine just died. We found plastic roping all in the roots. The bad planting killed both our trees. Hundred of dollars were wasted. Update. 7/10/24. Frisella has sent someone to look at the problem. I think we will have a solution, and we have been promised the problem will be fixed.

Always a beautiful drive out to this location. Lots of options from indoor/outdoor plants, native plants and mulch options too!

Buyer beware of their warranty practices Full disclosure- this is an ongoing issue and I’ll happily change this review if it is rectified. Thus far it has been an awful experience and others deserve to know. Purchased 2 trees (~$1,500) in the fall and they did not look healthy early summer/late spring. Took pictures and Frisella quickly offered to honor the warranty on one and I was verbally told they would extend the other warranty an extra year to see if the tree pulled through. Picked our replacement tree and was slapped with an additional fee b/c they changed the price of our tree. They had the exact SKU in stock of our tree- but we were forced to pay the difference. Their warranty paperwork clearly states that a cash value of the purchase price would only be issued if the exact replacement wasn’t available. My exact replacement was available yet I’m still paying the difference?? Also - we have been waiting for ~6weeks to even get ON the schedule. No end in site. Most recent correspondence - they now are suggesting that the “hand shake” extended warranty for the second tree isn’t recognized. Paid a premium for 2 healthy trees and have struggled for weeks to make that happen. We have purchased a lot of landscape from this company and have always been so happy with the quality, service and staff but this has been disappointing.

For many years, Frisella has been the mainstay for landscaping in this region and a favorite of ours as well. Every year our yard comes alive with their hanging baskets which flower continuously from May through October.

The young man that ring me out was not friendly. He acted as if he did not want to wait on me and my family. It was my first time there but I don't know if I will return.

I lost a tree in my back yard this summer. So I went to purchase a new one lucky me had sale for fall planting Today my new River Birch planted it’s beautiful I can’t say enough about the wonderful employees and crew for this company professionalism knowledge and great attitudes Highly Recommend

I have been buying from Frisella Nursery for the last 5 years and have always been very happy with the plants that I have purchased. Especially the Japanese Maple that I purchased 4 years ago. This year I replaced 10 of my rose bushes and am thrilled with the quality of the plants.

I've been buying from Frisella since they were in North County. They are my go-to for mature and unique trees that do well in our area. They come all the way out to Edwardsville to plant them. Julianna is the best!!!!

Katie spent a lot of time with us to help us choose the right plants for our yard! Their employees seem to really know the plants that they sell. They offer a huge variety of plants. I like their cute garden shop as well. It's a distance for us to drive, but it's worth it!

Always love this place, and the drive there is gorgeous. It's a fun outing, and I always enjoy the treasures I bring home.

In spring and early summer their selection of plants and shrubs is great! Their selection of trees is great all year long. I took a friend, new to the area, and he is also a landscape designer, who was thrilled with the tree selection, naming them and telling me about them. He stated he'd have to come back even though Frisella's in 45 minutes away.

Love going into Frisella this time of year...it's like walking into spring! Seeing all the flowers with the new ideas on planting beds! Great thing to do in cold weather!

They Have Awesome Staff working there!!

Had them come out to to give me an estimate on my landscaping project. Took measurements and had long discussions on what I wanted. NEVER heard from them again. Called and left message with office, NEVER got call back. Went in to their nursery and asked for them to have the estimator call me. NEVER got called back.

If you buy plants from Frisella's do NOT hire them to plant them for you. We had a horrible experience twice. Their crews were very inexperienced and planted the plants incredibly poorly. They did not overdig the hole, they did not tease the root ball, they just cut a hole exactly the same size as the pot, pulled the plants out of the pot, and stuck it in the ground. More importantly, however, is that we had picked out plants in advance of installation. The plants that they brought were not the same plants we picked out and were obviously diseased. After installation we figured we'd give it a few months but most of them died. We sent pictures of what they looked like when they were planted and they apologized and said they would replace them. So they sent a new crew out the next year and replaced the plants that had died. The problem was that this time the plants looked even worse and more diseased than the original ones they brought. I sent pictures to them on the day they installed them and they said they couldn't believe that the crew sent those out like that. They did refund our money for the installation but they also said they would provide us with new plants to replace ourselves but they never did. We finally gave up trying to get them to stick to their word. I think it has been 3 years now and we still don't have any semblance of the privacy hedge we were trying to achieve by using them.

This is my second porch pot class. They just keep getting better! Cara was an outstanding host and provided great advise!

Plenty of associates available to answer questions about their plants. We feel like we left with our purchase and knew exactly how to plant it and care for it.

They did what they said they were going to do when they said they were going to do it. They were easy to work with (and we tried multiple!). They listened to what we wanted and made changes as requested. Their people are knowledgeable. They have been responsive before, during, and after the installation. The heat this summer has been really hard on the plants and they have worked with us.We are extremely happy.

The plants are excellent, I feel some of the prices are to high, especially hanging flower baskets, and ground cover.

I am a small landscaper, and I am always looking for something unique for my clients. Everyone is very friendly and helpful, and they carry items I cannot find anywhere else. As a former Frisella employee (while I was going to college), I understand what a massive effort it takes to order, display and maintain the plant materials they stock. Add in all the supportive materials they carry, such as compost, potting soil, etc., AND all the books, tools, cute tchotchkes, flags, and the list goes on and on, and you can easily spend hours there. Rich, Juliana, Katie, Robin, Sherry, Robelio, and others whose names fail me at the current moment (forgive me, this heat is exhausting), go out of their way to help me fulfill my own client's expectations, therefore making my own dreams come true. Thank you, Frisella family, for all you do.

We always have a wonderful experience when we shop at Frisella Nursery. Everyone there is so helpful and answers all our questions about the plants and trees we are interested in. They go out of their way to make sure we get everything we need and if they don't have something in stock, they notify us when it is in stock. I highly recommend this business for both landscaping work, the extensive selection of plants that they carry, and the exceptional customer service.

I first met Tony Frisella about 15 years ago. He designed and built a beautiful back yard water feature. What a pleasant experience and beautiful result. I have continued to use them for new plantings and yard maintenance, reliable great work. I highly recommend them for all your nursery needs.

We have been here twice. Once for advice for our magnolia tree. You were right on. We fertilize and watered it and it came back to life. Then we wanted something from your gardens to replace to old bushes. We purchased the butterfly bushes and they are so healthy. We plan to get all our flowers from you because you care not only for your products but your customers. We recommend you to all our family and friends.

This was my first visit. I found what I was looking for. Everyone was friendly. They have an amazing selection of perennials and several native plants.

Rich was seriously AMAZING, I came in feeling overwhelmed and clueless and he was fantastic! He drew yo a blueprint and helped me pick great items for the space and drew up where I should put them, and wrote down the care instruction for each item for me! Super impressed and will definitely be a customer for life!

I purchased a bunch of plants here including a large butterfly bush. I spent over $300. I don’t mind spending twice as much on plants if I am getting quality. My bush did not survive the winter. When I brought it back they refused to back up their quality of plants. They told me i should have brought it back in the dead of winter when I had no idea that it would not come back I. The spring. Way overpriced when they don’t support their products. I do not recommend this nursery.

Cara was very knowledgeable and helpful! We greatly appreciated her help finding plants that worked in our yard! Robo was very helpful in loading our trees! The employees here are super friendly and knowledgeable! Will definitely come back in future!

More of a tree farm. Not a good source for the best looking herbs at a better price. Disappointing. Multiple crops failures on the accents and annuals we were really wanting. Herbs and fruit bushes are not in better shape or a better value than your local chain store. Some are in really bad shape for a nursery and this time of season. Which is whatever, but we drove so far out of our way because we thought this place was special. We just had slightly better luck last summer I guess. Still got over $300 worth of product, but overall we were bummed, and wish we stuck to cheaper and healthier plants more locally. Overcharged and had to replace some plants purchased here for better looking ones. Also, one of the older male workers/managers/landscapers (I don’t know his title) was overall inefficient and dismissive to a very enthusiastic customer. I overheard the interactions and I was able to be of more help to her as an amateur buyer than he was. When people drive all that way out to a place of business, more enthusiasm and consideration could be shown to visitors and their (botanical/landscaping) needs.

The nursery/retail space has a something for everyone. Love the unique plants as well as the tried and true. We utilize their maintenance service for spring clean up & mulch - as well as fall clean up. They do an excellent job And of course we still love our landscape and lighting that continues to evolve over the years that the team created and planted. Every year we get so many compliments.

Frisella Nursery is a favorite, trusted resource for the memorial trees our small business plants. We cannot say enough good things about their knowledgable, friendly staff - especially Juliana & Robin (we'd give you ladies 10-stars if we could!). While their garden center is spectacular, we've also visited their tree farm and the extra TLC they give young trees behind the scenes before ever being seen by a customer. Plus, as a local, family-owned company, they truly WANT to provide the best customer service experience. Give Frisella a chance to earn your repeat business like they've earned ours!

Bought a Columnar Blue Atlas Cedar from the nursery this spring. They were very helpful and informative about how and where to plant for best success. The tree is doing great. Will definitely be going back again.

Frisella is the go-to nursery for St. Charles County. The lovely grounds are large, well-stocked, and staffed with folks who are knowledgeable. The prices won't match the nearest big-box, but the service and experience are superior by far.

Loved these plants and honestly some of the most fun planter pot options in the area.

I love this nursery. I have been to several classes and had a great time. Looking forward to spring and summer classes. The shop has a great selection and I got great advice last summer with planting beautiful plants and flowers in my empty pots.This is a hidden treat, visiting this nursery. Must go!

An absolute disaster. Couldn't find the tree (Red Point Maple) they needed to deliver because they had the last letter of our name wrong. Their minimum planting fee is outrageous. It was almost equivalent (within a few dollars) of the price of a 5 foot Columnar Blue Spruce. Used to LOVE going there to browse and shop. There are 1 or 2 people who are helpful and knowledgeable and have any idea what their inventory is and where it is located. SAD

LOVE coming to Frisella! I always get inspired to expand my garden and landscaping just looking at all of the beautiful plants! Staff has always been extra friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend! Plus, I always prefer a local company over a big box store. Support local!

I really like this nursery and they have a lot of unique items. I wish some of their plants were marked better for pricing but their pricing is pretty fair as well once I asked someone.

I always plan several trips a year to Frisella Nursery. They have a great selection of plants as well as large pots that I plant up for hummingbirds. A great place to shop!

We needed a retaining wall with a planter bed. The designer drew exactly what I wanted and it turned out beautifully. We also needed to upgrade our lighting. We had landscape lights by some others and needed someone ro bring it all together and do routine maintenance. It is just spectacular. We get so many compliments from the neighbors. Streetlights are few and far between in our area so outdoor lighting is important. This was a large project with a few issues but Frisella made everything work out. I am looking forward to spring.

Purchase using a gift card could not have been any easier. Cashier was extremely knowledgeable regarding bag sizes of compost, etc. that we wanted to purchase.

We found lots of native plants and perennial flowers for our yard here. The staff was helpful and they provided good info on caring for the plants we bought.

Glad to know that Frisellas carries big 18 pound bags of Espoma Biotone Starter Plus fertilizer. They are a much better value than the small bags. Bought two yesterday & used a coupon that I received from them in the mail. Thanks Frisellas!

Tony Frisella and the team were excellent to work with from the start of a very large and evolving project. The landscaping designs were very creative and exceeded our expectations. Tony took time to get to know and understand our needs and fit the projects within our budget and timelines. I’ve never owned any plants before and my first time T a nursery. There were SO many options. Cara was EXTREMELY helpful, she literally spent almost 2 hours with us picking out plants and was so knowledgeable about everything. Paige was also great checking us out! They were so friendly and honestly made this whole experience what it was. Never thought I’d have so much fun picking out plants!
