This was our 1st time here. We ordered macaroni and cheese. It had plastic it. Texas toast was not toasted. We drove back for. 2nd time and they gave us $5.00 and Pint of macaroni and cheese. Then told us sorry. We have plastic liners that we put the macaroni and cheese in. The food portions and quality is not worth the price. We ordered a beer when we were waiting on our food. The manager had no idea what kind of beer they had. How they have a 5 start review is beyond me.

THE WINGS WERE TOO EXSPENSIVE,FOR 2.OO A PIECE YOU WOULD THINK THEY WOULD BE PARTY WINGS(BIGGER,JUICIER),THE PULL PORK WAS OKAY,HAD TO SAUCE IT UP FOR THE FLAVOR,HOWEVER IT WAS MOIST ,SWEET POTATO HAD FLAVOR

This place was once really great, but they have seem to fallen off on the details. I purchased beef ribs and pork ribs, plate. The ribs, sausage and pulled pork were dry. Very disappointed. I paid $40 for a mediocre meal.. Food was not good and wife got sick after eating. I will go to the one in Spartanburg as the former owners have left the one in Greenville and it’s very noticeable… Then I realized that they have a C DHEC food rating… Restaurants with a “C” grade may have issues like cross-contamination of food, improper storage of perishables, or inadequate sanitation practices. These establishments often require immediate corrective action, and they may be temporarily closed if the violations pose an imminent health risk.

My husband and I were passing through on the way back home to ATL and decided to stop by for dinner. Hands down the best BBQ I’ve ever had! The ribs literally fell off of the bone, the brisket was super tender, and the sausage was delicious! The potatoes and creamed corn were just as good! Don’t get me started on the churro cheesecake. 😋 We already have plans to stop by on our way through next month! Please open a location in Atlanta!!

Their ribs are fantastic. Sad to see another place stop serving alcohol because of that insurance law. I've gone a couple of times and they're always sold out of the turkey. I recommend the Judge's plate so you can try a little bit of everything. They try to sub where they can if you don't like something.

I was a little confused as to how you order a full rack of ribs for $38 bucks and only get enough for just you and someone else. I love supporting local good quality businesses BUT this is one I can do without. Maybe they short change me because they WANTED TO MAKE SURE THEY HAD ENOUGH TIL CLOSE!!!!!! I could have gotten my money back but my husband said let them keep it!! So if you ask for a full rack don’t let them cut it and make suureeee you ask is it for 1-2 people or half of a person!!!!!

Seriously good BBQ - definitely in the running for best BBQ in the area (I think they have won some competitions too). Had a brisket sandwich, it was so good, not dried out, immensely flavorful - highly recommend!!

I started coming here August of 2019 & I think today's my last time. First, the sugar coating they added to the ribs a few years back & now they've been reduced to little lollipop ribs (knife in pic for reference). It's sad because overall, the food was decent. But the macaroni & cheese was off today. And last time I came in March, something else was wrong. It was nice while it lasted.

Everything was perfect the judges plate was my favorite and the absolute best food anyone will every have if you have time to stop do it you will regret it if you don't

Stopped to get gas and realized it would be a while until dinner. Saw the 2020 World BBQ Champion sign and decided to check it out. Did NOT disappoint! Brisket sandwich with provolone and onion rings was so good, and the brisket and collard egg roll was a great way to start. Hate this isn't closer to my home because I'd go back often.

Given the reviews, I expected better. The prices for portions are just off. I got a side of baked beans which was very small, but also more stuff in them than the beans themselves . Very weird combination of flavors, I didn’t like it at all. Wings had a nice rub on them. I thought the sauces were just loaded with sugar. I wouldn’t recommend.

My daughter and I popped in for a Linner! Lol late lunch/dinner 😄 and so glad we did! We had a craving for bbq but wanted good brisket! A lot of places we go, it’s either small portioned, flavorless or dry but not at SBH!! We got the brisket and rib dinner and they were out of reg ribs but offered fried ribs!! Never had fried ribs but was not disappointed! We shared the plate and it was plenty for myself and my 10 yo daughter. The staff was so friendly and pleasant!! They check on us a few times and made sure we enjoyed our food! We will definitely be back!! Our food was hot and fresh, brisket a good size and juicy, tender and the fried ribs was a yummy unique taste!

We ordered -huge- to go order for 14 people and they did an excellent job. Meat was drip-juicy, everything cooked perfectly, and bonus-- my car smelled like BBQ for a long while!! We've been here before and will continue to come back. I cannot say enough about this place... Just GO! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Prime Dinner Time... Out brisket...out of collards...out of cornbread!! Pulled pork and ribs were dry. Menu says spare ribs but that's not what they served! They were small tasteless baby back ribs. Floors were so greasy I almost slipped and fell. Bathroom was disgusting. This has really gone downhill!

MORE BEEF ON THE BRISKIT SANDWICH We had not been to SBH before. I wanted to have BBQ for our date day lunch and so many BBQ joints have popped up in the area over the past 5 years, and so many suck, I wanted to have a fairly good chance of having a satisfactory BBQ lunch. I'm good at filtering through clutter to find worthy possibilities for our $$$s, and SBH looked like a good risk. It was. We will return for dinner soon to try ribs for sure, and probably beef ribs. SAUCES--The two sauces available were excellent. One was mustard vinegar tart and sweet, and the other was a red/brown spicy sweet. Both thumbs up. Unique and great sauces are starting points with me. Good sauce can help make up for shortcomings elsewhere. COMPLAINT--OK, here is my easy to fix gripe/complaint with SBH: If you insist on making cheese a standard component of your beef brisket sandwich, put enough beef on the sandwich to power through the cheese's influence on the overall taste. I enjoy the taste of beef far more than cheese. Cheese should be there to enhance. If it is covering the beef taste any at all, that is a negative distraction. The taste of the beef on my sandwich was smothered by the smoked provolone cheese; in fact the beef was barely visible. I'll pay more for a great sandwich. If I knew the beef portion was going to be so meager I would have had something else. Either serve more beef (and charge more if you have too) or delete the frigging cheese! I had even expressed concern to the nice lady taking our orders about the cheese covering taste of the beef brisket, and that I was considering not having cheese because I wanted to experience the beef, but also it is important to taste "the dish" in the way the "pit master" wishes to serve it, which is why I elected to have the cheese. Next time I'll ask for extra beef, though SBH should want to rectify this, or monitor the portion size better. My wife always has pulled pork. She had a Carolina pulled pork sandwich with creamy coleslaw was the best she had ever had. The pork was moist, smoky and delicious. Bun was nice too. Unlike the beef sandwich I had, her pork sandwich was piled high with pork, so much so I had the pleasure of enjoying the half sandwich she couldn't handle. It was great. The sweet potato crunch was excellent, but my wife didn't like it as much as me. It was loaded with pecans. The cinnamon taste was too strong for her, but I liked it. It is almost a dessert pudding. We would recommend and we will return.

Can’t say enough about the SBH Pelham location, our go-to BBQ in the Greenville area! Customer service is always top notch and you can’t beat the BBQ or sides.

Passing by this place you can miss it. If you do, you've really missed out because this place has some delicious bbq. Most places can get the meats rights, but fail to put the same amount of efforts into there side dishes. That's not the case here. From the baked beans to the sweet potato crunch, almost every dish that I've had at S.B.H. has been great. This is definitely the BBQ restaurant that you want to stop by if you're in the Greenville area.

6/30/23 Prize winning BBQ with fabulous sides you're going to love! Everyone we encountered was friendly, helpful and eager to answer our questions. We tried the Brisket plates and found it to be mouthwatering, tender and delicious with & without the sweet & spicy sauces. The collard greens egg roll was unbelievably good with cream cheese & a raspberry chipotle sauce. We chose the Texas toast, creamy cole slaw, SOB beans, sweet potato crunch, and the cheesy potato casserole. All of our food was made with top quality fresh ingredients and seasoned perfectly. There was plenty of parking and seating inside and outside. Come early because the restaurant closes at 8 p.m. you're going to be happy to dine here. Tonight we were treated to live music by country singer Thomas James he was extremely talented and added to the experience. Check the website for more music this summer.

All around, it's the best BBQ spot in the Greenville area. They got the best ribs around and amazing hot links! Service is always speedy and polite. My number one place to recommend to people looking for good BBQ!

The food was amazing! I got the Frog Man Sandwich, Brisket, Cheese, Onion Rings, and Sweet sauce. I loved my sandwich. I wish I could have eaten two of them, but I did not want to be a glutton. My daughter had the loaded Mac and Cheese, and she says it was delicious. The wife had the pulled pork sandwich, and she said it was delicious. We loved the food here. Hopefully, we can try the ribs next time as they are supposed to be delicious here. Will be back the next time we are in town.

PLEASE DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY, THE FOOD WASN'T AS ADVERTISED AND WHEN WE HAD A QUESTION THEY WERE VERY RUDE because we told them about the cold brisket and the stale bread awful very defensive and loud, we should've ask for our money back we just won't every go there again when we're in Greenville SC.

Literally the best barbecue place I've ever ate at the customer service is great the food is even better and the price is amazing would recommend to anybody looking for some really good barbecue at a good price and a good family atmosphere definitely coming back here again. The sandwich itself in this picture was only $10 which is amazing

So the food was good unfortunately it was the fact that the lady behind the register with a heavy accent, not sure where she was from and I can usually pick this up pretty good Was horrible I ordered a plate. She totally gave me the wrong food for both plates I called to let her know she had given me the wrong plate. All she could say that she’s human and she made a mistake never offered to fix it. Never offered to do anything. Just tell me that she’s human and she made a mistake. The worst customer service I’ve ever experienced, trying to argue with me after the fact that she said she charged me for a more expensive plate. That’s not what I ordered. I do not recommend this place.

The restaurant is clean and simple, no need to distract your attention away from the food, it speaks for itself! We ordered the brisket sandwich (slow smoked brisket with provolone cheese) tender and smoked to perfection paired with cole slaw. They offer a house sauce, sweet sauce, and a vinegar based sauce. The house sauce paired perfectly with the brisket. As we were eating, we could hear person after person being greeted by name as they walked through the door to place an order, so many we lost count.  That is all you need to know! Don't let the 2 stars fool you. I am just not a fan of SC BBQ, being from NC. Everything was just too sweet. Their house sauce is molasses based and very sweet and the vinegar mustard sauce was sweet as well. The meat was cooked very well, but it didn't have any hint of smokiness to it. The sausage 1/2 link was great though. They were out of chicken so I didn't get a chance to try that. The ribs have the proper bite, but the baste was just too sweet and over powered the flavor of the meat. I did try a few French fries from my friends plate and they were awesome!!! Staff was excellent and the place was nice and clean. I wanted to like it, but I will stick with NC BBQ.

OK if you like chain style bbq, Skimpy on the coleslaw and baked beans, The beans need to be put in a plastic container, I will not return, I prefer to eat bbq at a family owned place,,It's usually better

OMG So good they often run out of brisket. It's so tender and mouth-watering, not to mention the other fantastic menu choices. Take home brisket for 3 for around $40. Make some homemade sides, and wow, you have a fantastic meal.

Hands down the best brisket anywhere. My favorite was just north of Waco Tx for years but after eating here I’ll not have to go back to Texas for brisket!! Can’t recommend this restaurant enough! Everything was awesome!!

This was our first time here and it was good. We went for dinner and they were out of several meats. No ribs, medallions or chicken. They said they don’t keep anything overnight so my recommendation is to go at lunch to guarantee you get the meat you want. The meat we did have was good. The mac and cheese was great as was the Bundt cake!!

I went for the pulled pork sandwich and fries checked out the sauce stand, and went with house sauce very flavourable and perfect for the pulled pork. Staff are very polite helpful they have suggestions, for myself l tend to read through the menu look at what they are putting with different foods. It's clean and tidy restaurant plenty of parking up front. Will certainly look forward to returning.

Best Brisket sandwich I’ve ever had!

THIS PLACE IS SO AMAZING!!! Was in Charlotte, N.C. for a little bit visiting from Fredericksburg Virginia 03/15/2024 came to S&H restaurant based on a friend recommendation. When I walked in, S&H restaurant was so clean that I could have eaten on the floor. The cashier was VERY pleasant and friendly. The service was OUTSTANDING! Her recommendations were perfect. What can I say. This place delivered and then some. YES. The food was extremely tasty with reasonable prices. Lots to choose from if you are a vegetarian. I ordered ribs, chicken, sausage, sweet potatoes casserole, fries, and cold slaw. The ribs and chicken were so good the minute I put the ribs in my mouth the meat just melted in my mouth. Literally fell off the bone. The presentation is a work of art. I absolutely loved the Chief/Owner he made us feel like we were right at home very warm-hearted. Had no problems with parking wheelchair accessible very clean safe area love that. I WISH their was an S&H restaurant in the Washington D.C., Virginia area. Up North would die for a place like S&H and if you ever decide to expland please keep Washington D.C area in mind. PLEASE keep up your wonderful, delicious art. All 10/10 will be returning the next time I'm in town for sure!

This was our first trip to S.B.H. and we loved it! This restaurant has a delicious selection of bar-b-que, sides and sauces. I had the chicken dinner which included pulled pork and choice of sides. The pickled onions are also a great addition to their dinners. Our service was exceptionally friendly and efficient. Definitely will visit here again!

Ate there around 4 years ago, and it wasn't great. So glad I gave it another try. I've been back 3 times now, and wow. Literally everything is awesome. Every, single, thing I've eaten. Had ribs and brisket, Mac and cheese, and sausage. I'm not a cornbread guy at all, but this cornbread is the best I've ever had. It's amazing. Trust me, try it. My BBQ standard was Lewis BBQ. Now my standard is Lewis AND SBH. They are same level. All of these other places, I've had em. This is tip top tier for SC BBQ, and really makes me want to go to Texas to see how it gets any better. Will be a regular.

Brisket Sandwich Combo. MAC& Cheese Side. VERY Small portion. Barely enough Brisket to even cover the bun. VERY DISAPPOINTED. $17 for a tiny about of barbecue. No flavor. MAC & Cheese was nasty. Never coming back!!!!

Wow the food was phenomenal here! They were not kidding when they said they were award winning. The sides were amazing and the chicken wings were SO good.

I ordered a take out of the pork tenderloin sandwich. It was excellent just like an Indiana, but I was disappointed that there were no toppings. Just meat and bun. Also the price was $2.00 higher than listed on the website. I will definitely go back, but will be prepared next time.

If you're going to have limited supply of the food you have on your menu then you should also have that on the menu. Drove 35 mins to get a pork tenderloin sandwich to find out you only made 5 and sold out. Very disappointed.

SBH has great bbq. I usually get the brisket, it's some of the best I've had. But every now and then I like to get something else. They make a fried pork tenderloin sandwich that is as big as it is delicious. It's seasoned so well it didn't need any sauce added. You will probably need a to go box with this one.

The BBQ is great. However, being from Indiana, I had to try the breaded tenderloin sandwich which is an Indiana tradition. I was very very disappointed. The breading fell off when I picked up the sandwich and breading was bland. Guess I’ll have to wait to go back to Indiana to get one.

Awesome service, the smell of fresh BBQ is the best! The food is amazing. I had a simple brisket sandwich. Brisket was beyond tender juicy and full of flavor. The owner and team do an amazing job. Great homemade BBQ sauces as well. I would have shown a sweet potato crunch, but it didn't last long.

I have worked fine dining for 3 years and this is the best meal I have ever had in my life. The pork medallions made me want to cry they were so good. This truly is the fine dining of bbq. Steve and Kelly are absolutely amazing people and it is shown in every single bite. I will be stopping by every opportunity I have in the future

So our first time here we were just leaving topgolf and we were recommended by one of the employees to stop over there and eat. So we got there two platters with three sides. The ribs were solid. Fantastic! They're brisket. It was good. Flavorful but ours that we got was very dry. The sausage was again solid. Maybe could have been a little bit more juicier but overall still great. The cornbread was very dry. I wish it was a little bit tender. The baked beans was really good. Maybe could have used a little bit more sweetness. The greens were awesome. They were amazing. The potato salad which was like a mac and cheese was also good definitely solid place for BBQ the customer service was top notch we would definitely come again very clean

In town for work, this place was recommended by a man who worked at our hotel. Finally on our last day here we made it in, this place did not disappoint!I had the judge dinner plate, although they were out of pork and beef ribs the supplemented it with fried ribs, and they were also out of medallions so it was supplemented with pulled pork. Food came out fast and the flavor was amazing. Everything had great flavor, and the sides(Mac and cheese, cheese potatoes) just added to the meal. I tried out the house sauce and the sweet sauce, although they are not necessary to add flavor they along with the pickles and onion add a great flavor to the brisket and pulled pork. Staff was great, very friendly and personable they came and checked in on us often and just had conversation. Great place to eat and all around great people.

Our first time going to try something new, service was fine, everyone was very nice and welcoming. We got home to find out the sides are smaller that a can you can buy at the grocery store. On top of that, the pork/brisket has no flavor, very bland and half way dry (We live 5 minutes away). They did not give us our drinks. TLDR: I can get better bbq at the local grocery store for 1/3 of the price. Go to Lowes.

This is the best bbq I've ever had and I've had lots! It's fresh and not smoky or overseasoned. The sides are great and friendly service. We drive through Greenville 2x a year and always look forward to eating here!

This has got to be hands down me and my family's favorite BBQ. We've been to lewis' and even Bobby's, and so on but we just find this to be the best BBQ in the upstate. I constantly get the brisket sandwich because I think they do have the best brisket I've ever had. Not to knock on the other restaurants. I just prefer their brisket as my favorite! There has been nothing I haven't tried here that I did not want more helpings of. The pork ribs... The hot links... The pork medallions... THE BRISKET... not to mention the sides that are a perfect compliment to the meal. The sweet potato crunch and handcut fries are my favorite. The sweet sauce is addictingly good. I dont get to come here often, but when I do, I come hungry with a craving for this spectacular BBQ. If the owners and workers are reading this, thank you for all the work you put into making the food. It is well worth the money I pay to eat hear. I tell all my friends and family to come here. It is simply the BEST.

Absolutely the best barbecue in Greenville. You might pay a bit more, but you will agree that it was definitely worth it. I don't want to sound corny and say it was the best cue I've ever eaten, but I'll just say I don't remember eating anything better. Enjoy!

Excellent BBQ. Brisket was tender-awesome! The plate came with smoked sausage that was the perfect balance of heat and flavor. Others in the group got the pulled pork sandwich with spicy slaw. I'll definitely try that next time.

We have visited here twice now and each time the experience was 5 stars. The things we’ve loved so far— -the tender, melt in your mouth brisket -the cornbread that has a hint of sweetness -the flavorful spicy cole slaw -the fresh and perfectly seasoned collard greens We will be back!! 🙌🏼

Fantastic BBQ! We live in Roebuck and were in the Greenville area and craving BBQ. We stopped in and were welcomed as soon as we entered the door. We got the Frog Hog and the brisket sandwich. Along with the Mac n Cheese egg roll. Everything was absolutely delicious! They have outdoor seating which was perfect for todays weather. I will be telling everyone I know if they want tender, flavorful, good priced bbq, this is the place to go! Thank you for the outstanding food and exceptional service. Whenever we are craving bbq again, we will make this drive just because the quality of the food and customer service exceeds all others. We look forward to coming back!

Delicious 😋 We just moved here from TX and have had some really good BBQ, but this is definitely top 2 if not the best we've had!! If you want good BBQ with amazing customer service, stop by! You can tell they pour their heart into their business, and you can taste it!! (I asked for a fatty piece of brisket) This was after finishing everything, including the sides..so not the best pic lol!!

Once the delicious morsels of this establishment hit your lips, you'll fall in love. Your heart will begin palpitating, palms sweaty, the briskets heavy, fillin' my belly. I usually partake in their Judges Plate, which is fantastic, but this time I was feeling a little squirrelly... went for the tenderloin sandwich. Fantastic. Easily my favorite thing here. It is very much like a schnitzel if you've had one before, it's just not doused in gravy/sauce. This is my new go-to, just like you should get up and go to this BBQ joint.

We placed $180 order for pickup for 7. They left out part of our order and we didn’t discover until we got home. We had left them a decent tip. When I called to let them know at first he said he would leave a note so the next time I’m in I can get the order. Not!!! We needed the items so we had to go back. His compensation was in INDIVIDUAL bowl of banana pudding! Where has good service gone. We have 7 people, he could have at least gave a pint for the gas and inconvenience!

The amount of food for the price was very disappointing. Im a big fan of brisket but the only flavor that was on it was the rub on the outside. The chicken was dry. Tables were not wiped after customers. Very disappointed in our dinner. We will not be back. I'd much rather have Smittys BBQ or the smoking pig because they actually had flavor and better portions for the money

Sbh is amazing! We tried for a while to find decent BBQ and really didn't like alot of the places but SBH is awesome. Every thing there is just delicious. I don't usually like brisket but I LOVE their brisket. Ribs are amazing there. Staff is friendly. Highly recommend

Hands down Best BBQ in the area! Staff is great. Try a pint of “burnt ends brew” with your meal. Sides are amazing too. Poblano cream corn brûlée!!!

Food was really good, but out of the tenderloin, no pulled pork, and half of the sides. Brisket was great, and so were the egg rolls.

Finally, I found some damn good BBQ!!! The sides are super fresh and delicious, as was my pulled pork sandwich ! Staff was super friendly and the owner impressively was front and center ! I most DEFINITELY will be back! Yummmm!

Came in again today best thing I've put in my mouth in 6 months easy!!!! McKayla was great!this could be a problem having this place so close to home I may never eat my wife's cooking again lol no but really it was amazing

The "award winning beans" were absolutely not worth $4.25 !! I've had Bush's Baked Beans that were better. They were supposed to have potato, bacon, sausage - absolutely non-existent.

Little expensive but worth it their deep fried ribs had to have been my favorite in addition to the sweet potato pecan crunch

The food was great, with perfect flavor, moisture, and tenderness. The service is not bad but the order taker needs to pay more attention and use more common sense when taking orders. Well, we do not eat pork and we clearly say it so they gave us choices and one of them has short ribs. We thought it is beef ribs because in the beginning, we are clear to them we don't eat pork and we end up getting short ribs on our table. Well, the manager or maybe the owner perhaps give us another beef variety and it was so good. I am not sure if that is in the menu but he fixed the problem.

Best bbq brisket in town. So tasty not salty, with perfect moisture and great value for your money. Average price but you eat smoke brisket. Recommend sandwich if a big eater but if you meet lover the brisket and beckel is great!!!
