My wife and I went later in the day around 6:50 roughly just an hour before they closed at 8. We were told we had to wait for a table and sat for about 6-8 minutes and once seated can’t believe we had to wait. We saw 3 people walk out while we waited and once seated noticed 5 other tables open. There was 1 waiter taking care of all the tables, there was only 3 tables total including us. The food was okay nothing amazing to make me go back immediately. My wife had asked for a straw for her drink and the waitress said I’ll grab you one took care of the other 2 tables and completely forgot about my wife asking for a straw. When I asked her again she made this really weird face and said sorry I forgot and walked off to go get them. The waitress brought 2 plates for our sushi and one absolutely disgusting like it didn’t get a good cleaning at all. She checked up on us towards the end of our dinner and noticed we were almost done but did not bring the check at all. She also didn’t refill my water at all the entire time we were there and it was almost totally empty. We sat for 5 minutes before finally getting up to see if someone could check us out up front and only to find the waitress sitting in the chair with her legs kicked up on the counter and playing on her phone knowing we were pretty much done eating and waiting on her. If I ever go back here it wouldn’t be so close to them closing because clearly the customer service really starts slip last hour before they close. The place is also incredibly small about 10 tables max and there was a bunch of napkins and other things on the floor around the other tables so it was just dirty.

Great Sushi, great customer service ....do not desapoint...

This is definitely one of my top sushi places to visit. Top gear roll is my favorite roll(not pictured). The seared salmon and tuna tartar are my favorite go-to appetizers. Everything is always fresh 😋

If you all are looking for a lunch/ dinner to start your weekend right, I highly recommend Scream’n Tuna in Downtown Lakeland!!! I’m a massive sushi fan and have eaten at quite a few places all over Florida and this one hits it right out of the park! Cooked or raw, their sushi is surely the top here - my personal fav being their Crazy Monkey Roll 😋 And the chicken fried rice is a fav! if you’re not a sushi lover! 🍣🍱 let’s continue to support our local business.

Sat down with my dinner date at around 545 pm and had the place to ourselves for much of the time. Smaller dining area so it was intimate. We ordered from an expansive menu of sushi rolls and had the Criollo Very Mexican and the Ninja Rolls with the Ninja being subpar for being the most expensive.. The other 2 were fantastic. Service was spot on. Prices were inline for the area and I recommend giving this place a shot if you enjoy sushi in a laid back environment..

I stopped in for takeout. My first visit to this restaurant. The staff were helpful and nice - they helped me select vegan options. The food was good, not great. The atmosphere was good but not memorable. They need to adjust the front door- it’s too heavy to open.

I don’t understand how this place isn’t always packed. Such a great sushi joint. Order the spicy salmon mash.

Had a party of 8 on a Friday night. Had to wait a little longer than we wanted but waited it out. And definitely worth the wait. Service was amazing. 10/10 would recommend.

We ordered a Japan Roll, an Electric Eel Roll, and a single piece of White Tuna. The sushi was fresh and delicious! We also the Fried Oreos Ice Cream dessert which was very tasty. :)

Amy is the best server of all servers anywhere. The food was delicious and the krab rangoon is the best I've ever tasted.

this is a great place to get sushi for lunch. they have a lot of options but the list isn’t overwhelming. the fish is always super fresh and everything is priced reasonably.

Im so happy I found this spot! My go to when I’m craving sushi. The fish is fresh & the service is great. It’s a small place but comfortable. I personally love the OMG roll, I like to add scallion & eel sauce. The Salmon handroll is also very tasty. Highly recommend 🫶🏽

AWESOME small brick n mortar in the perfect location!! When they say "Less is more" Scream'n Tuna NAILED IT!!! I'm not the type that has to have sushi as part of my diet. I will say this, Scream'n Tuna Sushi has changed my mind!! I had the T.N.T. roll and the Ninja roll. My guest (Sushi Fanatic) had the Yellow tail wraps. The T.N.T. roll was to die for!! Amazing flavor and all around just OMG perfect!! The Ninja roll, OMG what can you say when the Lobster is cooked to order. I didn't want tempora, so the CHEF said he'd grill it. Bah-Zinga!! Oh My Lord, the flavor and spice were the perfect combination! The ONE and only down side was, that the rolls weren't completely cut through, so when I got the the end, the last two sections were semi connected and basically unraveled. Over all, I WILL BE BACK. My guest, whom had the Yellow tail wraps, has echoed my comments about flavor and spice. They would have LOVED to have had just a few more cucumbers added to the wrap. Again, they too WILL BE BACK!!

I was in town and craving sushi so I decided to give Screamin Tuna a try and I’m glad I did! It’s such a cute little restaurant in downtown Lakeland. The staff was very attentive and nice, and the food was great. I had the potstickers, a California roll, and tempura roll. All were crafted beautifully and tasted great. I will definitely return next time I’m in town!

The food is 5 🌟 stars! The customer service is 4 stars. They close down at ⏰️ 2pm and reopen later. If you come 5 mins before 2pm they just turn you around and say sorry. 10 mins you may be able to order "big MAY". The server is really nervous as 2 is approaching and you're still eating, it's obvious she wants you to leave. You come 20 mins before closing she going to automatically give it to you to go. If you think for one second you will sit down and eat 😆 good luck with that. It's an experience I can't even put in words ⏳️ .

I ordered my lunch through Bite Squad. Delivery was great and I was happy with the variety on the sashimi deluxe combo. However, the white fish was very fishy. I couldn’t finish my lunch. Bite Squad was unable to contact the restaurant as the close between lunch and dinner. Very disappointed.(I was looking forward to the salmon and tuna, but not trying those after what I just ate…) The portion I ate, other than the whitefish (top) was good.

Absolutely excellent sushi at reasonable prices. It’s a super small place, and it may take a while to get your order. But that is because the sushi is legit and they have a lot of customers. Great spot. Excellent everything. And super nice people.

Had my first experience at Scream'n Tuna Sushi yesterday and it was GREAT! I prefer cooked sushi and I was shocked at the many options they had. I had shrimp and chicken tempura rolls...both were excellent! The service was good and the restaurant was small but VERY clean. Will definitely be back.

Service and meal were impeccable. The atmosphere is quaint and the prices were excellent. Would have been 5 stars but for the dried, glazed residue on the black tabletops from a wet, dirty rag and the fingerprints all around the perimeter of the plate, making me wonder whether it actually started out sparkling clean before it was plated. They get my benefit of the doubt though, because the food was practically perfect. I'll definitely be back!

Menu is confusing, rice isn't made correctly, sashimi fell apart. Customer service is good, sushi is mediocre. Edit: It’s been three years and I must say the menu is beautiful, prices are good, as well as the sushi. Will be making this my go to sushi place. Thanks.

Found this spot on accident on the way back from Tampa to Orlando. Not too far off i4 and cute little downtown area. The service staff were excellent and very friendly. The sushi was awesome! We ordered 4 rolls and they were all fresh and excellent. We can't wait to go back and try more!

Ordered food for takeout got half my meal and the rice that came in clear container was nasty got a very very small portion of rice over priced i can see the whole palm of my hand thru the top the rice dont even cover my hand with rice. Paid 35$ for the rice and spicy tuna roll whitch i was suppose to get two tuna rolls and recived one. First time customer last time going to eat there !! Bad experience

This is by far, the absolute best sushi in all of Lakeland, and of all the places I've been to outside of Lakeland. I agree, dont know who this Bob butler guy is but he must just hate his life or something. Dont hesitate to go and enjoy the sushi here, and I have never had anything but a pleasant experience with the employees and the food. . Get a life Bob.

Best sushi anywhere Ive been to and I have had sushi all over the country. No idea who this Bob Busler is that clearly is writting false reviews because he is just a hatefull person and has nothing better to do with his life. This restraunt is clean and sanitary. The employees take all the precautions.

This place has the best sushi I have ever had and I’ve had sushi in many places even outside the U.S. This place outshines them all!!! I’m leery to eat at anywhere else ever since eating here and going to another place. 9/10 it is disappointing anywhere else. No where even comes close to this place. I walked out of this place because it is overpriced for no reason. I'm sorry that you're in denial about your prices but I have attached a picture of your one of your competitors pricing. You should really look around. Also if you can't take critique how would you get better? I upgraded your review to two stars because you did bother to reply. This is the best sushi in Lakeland. Honestly it is some of the best sushi I have ever had. This place should be packed 24/7 and 3 times more expensive. My favorite rolls are scorpion, crazy monkey, and crazy salmon. Fantastic.

Just left from our first visit here and HAD to leave a review! Absolutely everything about this place from the prices, to the service to of course, the food was absolutely SUPERB! It’s our anniversary and we wanted sushi but nothing was open in our area so we decided to look a little further from our home and OMG I AM SO GLAD WE DID! My kids ordered spicy tuna rolls and in usual fashion, the hubby and I had to try it (it’s the most basic of rolls, so we base a sushi place on it. Just our “thing”). We each looked at each other in amazement because this was the BEST sushi we had ever tasted! Then our order came out, the Maui, Holiday, September Sunset and OMG rolls. They were SO FRESH, SO FULL OF FLAVOR, SOOOOO DELICIOUS!!! The rice to filling ratio was perfect! And the prices were very reasonable! To top it all off, the service was incredible! Thank you, Mac, for being awesome!!! We will DEFINITELY be back!!! Our new favorite sushi spot!!!

The sushi was outstanding! We came in 30 mins before they close, We asked if it was OK, knowing that we wouldn't want to keep them if they were already cleaning up. They were super friendly and accommodating. The food came out quickly and every single roll we had was delicious. Definitely worth a try!

By far some of the best sushi we have ever had! With so many specialty rolls to choose from, it was a hard decision. But every last one was exploding with flavor. Fresh and perfectly assembled, we cannot wait to go back and try some more! Our server was just wonderful. Polite and attentive, even our teenager kept saying how nice she was. Our receipt says her name was Mac, beautiful, petite with red hair... I hope she sees this and knows what a great job she does! We will definitely be going back.

Had a great first experience here. It was my wife’s first time having sushi and they even accommodated her shellfish allergy.

Up to par with Publix sushi. Update: We were only 1 of 3 tables that were seated. Our table was dirty and had to be cleaned. Service was slow, had to wait for drink refills, and the server just wasn't very personable. We found it odd considering it was so slow.

The Criollo roll was the best roll I have ever tasted. Our waitress (cute too) was knowledgeable and attentive. This great experience is few and far between with such bad service wherever you go! I will be back again and again!

The staff were amazing and a very clean restaurant. The sushi was ok on tonight's visit, rice was dry and pickled ginger was an attempt at home made.
