This place is great. Don't sleep on the food!

Staff was great and love how there are emulator cabinet/console games to play. Aesthetically looks great in there. Went in for a free on femme’s night but typically has a cover but all games are free. They also had a nice selection of drinks. Not too crowded and they had good music. Only reason for four stars because some of the cabinet games weren’t working. Otherwise a great place and would come back if I were in the area!

Loads of fun, especially on days that aren't too busy tons of games

This bar is really unique and cool. One side of the bar is a normal bar and then the rest of it is a vintage video game cave. If you like vintage video games and retropie and game emulators then this will be your kind of place. The owner is a really cool guy and he is a vintage game Enthusiast and really cool guy to talk to and I highly recommend this place.

Went to go see my friend that was taking part in a tournament! I’m huge into games so it was fun to go around a play different things! From New to Old, there’s a big variety! Some games I’ve never even heard of! (Please get SoulCalibur 2 somehow 🙏) There was a couple of machines down (from what I remember they seemed like driving type games) The employee’s there are very find, helpful, and just helped me feel comfy! For food I had the chicken skewers with a side of fries and it really filled me up, very good food to be honest! (I’m legit craving it right now) My boyfriend had the cheeseburger sliders which he really liked as well I can't wait to go again soon!

Great bar food, fun set up for classic gaming including stand up arcade cabinets and classic console/CRT TV stations. Friendly staff! Reasonable prices! Thanks for being awesome.

I've known them for years. Full hospitality, wide variety of games, and will repair on the spot if they have to.

I’ve been a few times and going has always been a great experience and there’s always a nice vibe, with a good selection of cabinets. The issue comes with trying to rent them for an event. All over their website they claim to be available for private and semi-private rentals, so I knew Seacave would be a perfect venue for my party. I started attempting to reach out during February through their party inquiry form on their website. I didn’t hear anything all month but it WAS mardi gras so I assumed maybe they were busy and I would try next month. In March I attempted to reach out through the website again and got nothing in reply. I tried to call but there’s no voicemail and the answer message directs me to their website, the email address, or social media. Instead of using the website, I decided to send another message directly from email and once again got nothing. April began and I started getting antsy so I decided to try reaching out through facebook and got nothing but an automated response on messenger. Over the last 3 days I’ve attempted numerous times to reach them through instagram with messages, comments, and replying to their story but I’ve gotten NOTHING. They are active on instagram daily and even respond and interact with other peoples’ comments but they ignore every attempt I’ve made. After speaking to a few other locals in the area, I’ve found this is usual when trying to book Seacave as 3 different people I know have had the same experience. It’s all very unfortunate as I love supporting local and Seacave is the perfect venue for the party I want, but it really seems like they aren’t interesting in booking events, despite them advertising they do. I’ve given up and am continuing the search for myself, but I wanted to leave this review so hopefully Seacave sees it and no one else will have the same experience. People wanna support y'all but if y'all don’t answer, we can’t ):

There’s no better arcade in the city than Sea Cave. All you can play, plus the full bar and food menu is great.

This place is a vibe. Dimly lit, always a good movie on at the bar. Very solid drink and food specials nightly. Love the sliders. Enjoyed playing nostalgic arcade games from the 70s/80s.

I would have died if not for the awesome staff.

Honestly not my favorite barcade experience. While the place was fun and has a good vibe, their selection was limited. When I went all the games with accessory controllers, ie steering wheel, gun etc were down. It is cool that they have emulators that'll allow you to select from a menu of games. Controls for some were wonky. They also have several consoles to play on. There was no cover and the games didn't require tokens so not too upset. I liked them better than the place down the road. Didn't hangout long, this was towards the end of a long crawl through Frenchman and down St Claude. Maybe next time more things will be up and running.

I really love to support local places but this place left alot to be desired. Half the games didn’t work, the food menu was .. an odd selection, and the drinks were “okay” to say the least. $8 for unlimited play seems like a deal to begin with but other arcades in the city are actually cheaper ( my friends and I have been to a couple arcades in Nola. As a group we go through about $15-$20 worth of tokens each time we go out. So it ends up being $5 each- while that’s not unlimited, we are usually all played out by that amount) When you add it all up: Games - mostly broken Food- odd menu and the taste was not something to write home about Atmosphere- the obvious regulars weren’t welcoming at all. Really small place. Wanted to love it but didn’t

This place is an absolute gem in New Orleans. I'll be back and I'll always recommend it. Fun, friendly and affordable. Went there for a specific game and they had 10k to choose from! Owner was kind and professional as well! Good job y'all!

Amazing experience . Nice host - cool bartender. Beautiful vibe. Loved how I could play them all with one wrist band. And loved that they had a hideaway patio. Oh and all the cool little nic nacs. And Pac-Man and old computer game. Like yesssss My type of vibe! I will most def be back and tell all my friends like I’m a full time promoter lol! 10/10 oh and I’m not a person who likes mixed drinks so at first I thought it was a little watery or tart.. but I was wrong. That drink def hit by the time we settled down. A+ place

My husband and I just rewatched stranger things for the hundredth time and we were craving a visit to a retro arcade. Sea Cave did not disappoint, we played games on authentic machines that we haven’t played in years and the fact that you can play all day for the low price of $5 is unbeatable. There’s not as large a selection as bigger arcades like D&B but that wasn’t our mission anyway. We just wanted a retro experience. The owner of Sea Cave was incredibly nice and helpful and eager to assist with any questions. We didn’t try the food but the menu looked really good so we’ll be sure to be back and grab food on our next visit.

There are many games and the food is good and at a fair price. The yucas were pretty good!

This place has surprisingly excellent food. The fried tofu is like magic. The sliders are great (my picky AF kids like them). The grilled pineapple is delicious. Everything I've ever eaten there is well seasoned and perfectly cooked. Games and bar are great too obviously. The staff are super sweet to my kids. It's just awesome all around!

Dolly & I were looking for semi healthy non greasy type food. We came across Sea Cave which had a very interesting menu. In my opinion… it’s giving Mexican Caribbean cuisine and not “American” which is how it’s listed on ubereats. They had sweet plantains, white rice w/ black beans, jerk chicken, beef Pattie’s, etc. I ordered the jerk chicken rice bowl. SLAPPED. It was also enough food that lasted me later that day for a small snack. My bff had the beef patties which were sooooooo delicious that she believes they we’re outsourced lol. She can’t believe they made it themselves haha. The decor was really cool. Super creative & very artistic. The staff was very friendly and welcoming as soon as I came in. We ordered on Uber with a pick up. The order was ready within 10 minutes. Very smooth pick up with no mistakes. Will definitely go back again. Maybe tonight 😬 hehe

Some games where not working correctly but over all good place to chill at.

Great place to take your friend that you have a problem with, and solving it over drinks and some Third Strike.

It was definitely not worth $8.50. I'd say about half of the games were not playable or broken in some way. Many classic games that I expected to see weren't there like Pac-Man and Galaga. Customer service was not particularly friendly or helpful. My friends and I ended up just sitting down and chatting because we very quickly ran out of games to play. I wouldn't recommend it.

Quirky little place that is a cross between a hole in the wall bar and video game arcade. The only downside is its location. Take an Uber or get dropped off so you still have a car when it's time to leave.

Great little dive bar with a bunch of arcade games. They also have a couple early 2000 pcs where you can play classics like Rollercoaster tycoon and doom. They have several tvs with game cube and dream cast. The inside isn't too big but they have a huge patio with multiple tables and benches. The staff was so helpful when it came to the games and the bartenders made delicious drinks! They also have some food avaliable. My friends and I just wanted to come in and check it out gut ended up staying hours because of how much fun we were having!

Chill vibes and the yuca fries were yummy! A little misleading on how many games they have, they really have that many but it is an emulator, not the real game, so they don't always have the same options as the real game and glitched a few times. Ok to bring kids too!

The food and staff were so good. Cool games and only $5 to play them all.

$5 cover charge and you can play all the games available within the shop. A lot of shooty old style, pac man or fight type games, and I do mean a lot, probably 90% of the machines are those. Fun if you come with friends. We did see many children there accompanied by their adults. Unfortunately while we were there many of the fun looking games (using wheel or blaster) were broken/out of service. Otherwise it was a good time.

#1 thing at this arcade is not your Joust score (it is mine), but it is their food!! Come here and get the best Caribbean fusion this side of the Mississippi, stay and play some arcades.

Great time on. Monday with $5 unlimited play. They have some fun emulator cabinets. Sliders were fantastic. My husband wasn’t hungry, took one bite of my food, and then he had to go get his own.

This place is awesome. Great food, a tight community, and all the games you could ask for. I wasn't sure about emulator cabs at first, and once foolishly knocked the cave for them, but that was just me being dumb. Seacave is awesome

So I found out about this place a few months ago, and I've been coming regularly since! Good drinks (or at least drink, singular, since I usually get the same thing over and over XD), friendly workers who are awesome, and video games! Lots of games! Classic games, newer games, and everything in between! Who knows, you might even find a game you'd never heard of before that snakes its way into your heart! If there's any kind of game you like, you'll probably find it here! The whole place is just one big experience, and a great one ^_^

The sliders and corn goat cheese salad were bomb. I really enjoyed my time and there's an amazing selection of games. There was a rad DJ there later in the evening and really enjoyed the vibe, the people, and the food! Will definitely be back.

Went with my partner and some friends and had a great time. Food is delicious and fairly priced, beer is cheap and there’s more than enough retro games to satisfy anyone.

Every city needs an arcade, and now that New Orleans has got one, it's awesome. Super chill vibes. All the bartenders and the staff are friendly, including the owner. All the games are emulated, so as long as your not a purist it's good fun.

The Sea Cave keeps adding new cabinets, games, and does a great job curating the games in their cabinets. They have independent and local games. Classic console games from the NES, SNES, Sega, Dreamcast, PS1 err. Fighting game tournaments every week. They have a light gun cabinet, but it was broken last time I was there. The only genre they're missing is DDR.

Took my daughters this weekend and they loved it. Cool vibe, good bites to eat and all the games you can imagine.

This place is neither a cave, nor near the sea. It is an awesome arcade bar though with fair prices. You can pay one price to play all night.

it's exactly what i didn't realize i was expecting. cuz, how do you make it work? equal parts bar and arcade is the trick, good tv, good smelling food that left people sounding happy with what they had and the focus really is on the relaxed atmosphere... it's an intimate space for a dead medium, so drink up, perfect new Orleans vibe

Sea cave is a great lil hidden gem. Their food is delicious! Friendly atmosphere. The bartender Nikki, with the green hair, is my favorite bartender in the city. She’s the sweetest.

Love it! Of all local places Sea Cave gives the most nostalgic vibe. It's a 5 dollar entree fee and then you can play arcade games until you don't feel like it, or it closes. The amount of retro systems that are included through emulation is mind blowing.

Super fun barcade in the marigny. The bar food had some great vegetarian options. The staff was amazing 🤩. And the arcade games were so entertaining! Time flew - it was midnight before we even realized.

Everything nostalgic for the 80s babies. 😍All the games you know and love from your childhood, frequently playing VHS classics on the projector, good selection of snacks at the 'bar'. $5 for all-you-can-play is an amazing value. Keep up with their social media...frequent gaming tournaments and live hip hop shows.

It's a fun retro arcade with fun retro events. (80's/90's)

We had such a fantastic time at this arcade. When they say that they have thousands of games, that is no exaggeration. We played old school street fighter while listening to trance and synth music, then shifted to playing multiplayer arcade games like AVP. The owner was cool, knowledgeable and will even play you himself. For $5 you can literally play all day. There is a bar across the street if you need adult beverages. The setup simply can't be beat, you'll have a hard time finding a game they don't have
