I came here around 530pm and ordered the fried gyoza, sashimi deluxe, and the spicy tuna roll. The sashimi was good and the portions were good. The gyoza was crispy and delicious. There is jazz music playing in the background and the lighting is slightly dim. I enjoyed my dinner and the atmosphere of the restaurant.

Phenomenal dinner from start to finish. We went saturday night around 8:30 pm - not too busy, but a nice calm ambiance. Everything we ate was amazing. Service was awesome- We got some upsetting news right before walking in and they saw it. We started off with sake and they gave it to us on the house. Every entree came with a delicious miso soup and salad. We got the fried rice, yellowtail, and sushi dinner (pictured). For apps we got the tuna tartare and edamame- they were fantastic. Good bang for your buck - we will definitely be back.

The spicy chicken bulgogi was amazing!! So rich in flavor, nothing like I’ve ever tried before.

No wonder this sushi restaurant ranks higher than even the most expensive places. I used to come here regularly 10+ years ago and always loved it so when someone suggested we get sushi, I thought of Seiko. It was just as great as I remembered. The rolls are excellent. Service was enthusiastic and pleasant despite our late arrival. Atmosphere is always upbeat. Between the affordable food and that it’s BYO, you can really treat yourself and friends!

I ordered the Rainforest Maki and Firecracker Maki (sushi rolls). There’s a technical difference between sushi and maki but to us mortals it doesn’t matter. Both were so delicious that I decided to order Northern Liberty Maki. The young lady Clarissa was super friendly and was very helpful explaining the menu.

Such an amazing experience! Our waitress was so lovely and extremely helpful with our order. Love that it is a BYOB place. It was 6 of us and our total per person was under $40! Highly recommend

It is like finding a rough diamond in the city. Recently opened, menu selection is awesome and will have you exploring unique tastings. Incredible chef, who beams with pride (rightfully so) and shows. Lot of care in his crafty creations. I called it a rough diamond, since they are still polishing their menu and offerings, but this will be a superb choice and experience that is guaranteed to have you coming back time and time again.

Phenomenal service! Always felt taken care of and the young woman server is so sweet and gives great recommendations. Good prices for dinner and lunch! Definitely get the green tea and chicken katsu.

Our savior on a late evening. Really friendly staff. Amazing food. All three of us were very happy. Prize to quality wise and also prize to amount wise this restaurant is hard to beat. Would definitely go again!

Decided to pay this spot a visit as part of NoLibs restaurant week, the $25 set dinner was quite worth the price. The set came with a sushi roll, entree, and mochi ice cream. Sushi roll options were somewhat limited and the actual rolls themselves were nothing special. I also ordered an add on spicy salmon roll but it looked nothing like what I’m used too. Instead of a mashed salon paste, it was essentially a regular salmon roll with some spice added. Interesting choice to say the least. I got the shrimp teriyaki for the entree and the sauce was quite good, savory and sweet. The shrimp were slightly cold and overcooked though. The mochj cream was likely store bought, and clearly part of the restaurant week set as I cannot imagine paying more than $4-5 for a single piece of mochi. Overall, the decor of this place along with the ambient jazz music makes for a nice casual dining spot. Nothing fancy. The food can be decently good so I may give this place a shot again to try the other dishes.

We ordered special maki rolls. The place is small but the staff and food were good. Street parking so that area is pretty difficult to find parking especially weekend dinner.

Had a wonderful experience here Friday evening. We loved the decor and lighting immediately, definitely a modern and cozy vibe. The server was very nice and helpful with questions about the menu. I got the Kamikase roll and it was amazing, and my boyfriend loved the beef bulgogi. And everything was super reasonably priced! We might be some new regulars here.

Ive been coming here for a few years now ( monthly). The restaurant's tranquil ambiance, attentive service, and, most importantly, the outstanding quality of their sushi left a lasting impression on me. The staff's warm welcome made me feel right at home. The waitstaff was knowledgeable about the menu and gladly provided recommendations based on individual preferences. Their attentiveness was commendable, ensuring our water glasses were always filled. The sushi rice was flawlessly seasoned, with just the right balance of vinegar and sweetness, providing an ideal base for the toppings. The fish was undeniably fresh and of top-notch quality. This family owned sushi restaurant was nothing short of exceptional. From the inviting ambiance and attentive service to the crafted sushi , every aspect of the dining experience was remarkable

This place is so good! Service was very friendly and accommodating even though we arrived an hour before closing. All the food was excellent! We both got the Hot Stone Bibimbap. Will definitely come here again to try more of the menu!

If you’re looking for no frills fish with a good atmosphere and amazing service, Seiko is the place to go. I don’t stray far from the basics with crazy rolls, which they do have. And I judge the fish on the basics. The tuna, salmon, white tuna, and smoked salmon are amazing. The yellowtail has consistently been the best of that fish I’ve ever had. The rock shrimp has a unique flavor spin that others don’t have. And the salmon dumplings are unique. You should go here.

Kelly is the best server and so very sweet! We absolutely love the food here, we come every single Friday night! The service is fantastic and the quality is always delicious! We’ve recommended Seiko to everyone we know and we’ve had friends drive in from New Jersey just for Seiko because they loved it so much!

I love ordering the platters at Seiko. We've gotten the blue mountain party tray and the ocean party tray before. The rolls are fresh and tasty and nigiri is pretty good - not the MOST fresh/tasty but still tasty and had a lot of variety. Blue mountain party tray is our favorite for special occasions - especially the volcano roll and the northern liberty. I really liked this tray because there was a ton of variety and roll-to-roll, it didn't feel like I was eating the same combination of spicy tuna, eel, crab, etc. like some other places. 80 pieces sounds like a lot but the rolls are pretty small, so the blue mountain party tray coupled with maybe 1-2 more special rolls fed 3 hungry people.

As somebody who has eaten at many restaurants across Philly, Seiko is without a doubt my favorite, and the one I find myself coming back to the most. The food is outstanding, with a wide variety for sushi lovers and non-sushi lovers. The Northern Liberty roll and the Lobster Liberty rolls are especially good, but we have also found ourselves constantly going back to the spicy tuna, the Philly roll, and the sweet potato tempura. On top of the sushi, there are many great options for entrees, such as the hot stone bibimbap (make sure to use the sauce provided on the side!), the bulgogi, the fried rice dishes, and many more! This isn't even mentioning the wait staff, who have to be the most accommodating and friendly wait staff I have ever met. We absolutely love Kelly, who always remembers us when we come by, and I really can't speak highly enough of her through this medium - she is just a pleasure to be around and always provides the best recommendations. While we don't get takeout often (we prefer to dine-in due to the great atmosphere in the restaurant), the few times I have gotten takeout have been stellar as well. All-in-all, I truly cannot say enough good things about this restaurant. Everybody who appreciates good food should come to this establishment at least once while they live in this city or anywhere nearby.

This place has wasted my time on pickups way too much, I give up, never returning. Staff is always very inattentive and it’s dumpy. Tonight she said maybe 20 minutes after it was supposed to be ready. Good news is there are tons of other good sushi options in the area!

Welcoming service, quick ordering and food to table. Loved the firecracker roll and the maki combination. It’s BYOB and they can make space for larger groups. Always forget about their lunch specials, but they have great combo entrees and roll specials if you can make it in on the weekdays. Lovely

Couldn’t even wait to leave before writing this 5 star review. First off, Kelly our waitress was amazing. She’s friendly and gave us a great run down of the menu. The atmosphere is cozy, great for family or dates! Now the food- amazing! Highly recommend the Red and White sushi combo and the chicken teriyaki. Can’t wait to come back!

It is a good little Japanese restaurant that offers sushi, rice and noodle dishes. I like the yaki udon that is pan fried and seasoned to perfection. And the sushi deluxe is a good deal if you want a feast on rolls.

i’ve only gotten takeout, but they never disappoint. good portions and they’re always friendly and pleasant on the phone. their fried dumplings are so good and even though I get take out, they always arrive crispy and not soggy (big pet peeve of mine). you won’t regret eating/ordering here!

Just wanted to check this place out because it had great reviews. They really didn’t have much of a specialty roll selection. Other than that everything tasted good and the service was good.

We were the first two guests to arrive at the restaurant so it was completely empty. Our reservation was quite early, exactly when they opened. Our waitress was so nice, their green tea was delicious! Their miso soup and special rolls were also delicious. Great experience, will definitely be back !

We have been trying every sushi place by us since we moved. This has so far been my favorite. The food is incredibly fresh and tasty! I have no complaints at all. The staff is absolutely amazing. When I say staff I mean the single person holding it down. Absolutely crushing it. Incredibly nice and attentive despite being overwhelmed! Stop by and show some love absolutely won't disappoint.

My friends and I love going here for BYOB and sushi. The servers are attentive and the sushi, sashimi and rolls are really good. They have a wide selection of specialty rolls. Love the tuna tartare, spicy rock shrimp app and fried tofu. I really love that it's BYOB. Sushi can be expensive and being able to bring a bottle cuts down on cost and allows me to choose my favorite wine and order more sushi.

The weekday lunch special Bento Box is delicious and a great deal. Their Yellow tail is melt in your mouth. I get the yellowtail box. It's is a very big meal: soup, salad, sushi, roll, excellent vegetable tempura, two Dumplings and Edaname. I go with my husband and he gets the spicy yellowtail and I get the regular one. The staff is wonderful. I feel Covid safe there( well spaced, masks and sanitizer).

The chicken katsu was so good I had to order it again before I left… and finished that too!! Some of the best chicken katsu I’ve ever had. My girlfriend got sushi and was in heaven. Really affordable prices and we went home with left overs. On top of it all the atmosphere of the restaurant was great and our server Kelly was super friendly and accommodating. It’s a bit of a drive for me but I will definitely be back!

We had a wonderful dinner with one of the best servers I've ever had, Clarissa. She was energetic, personable and an all around wonderful person. She gave our table good attention and food recommendations. We had a great dinner thanks to her. Try the Yaki Udon and Gyoza!

My wife and I visited Seiko last week and we were very satisfied with the food. I ordered White Tuna carpaccio for appetizer and I got to say that's my most favorite dish from Seiko. Thinly sliced tuna with a tangy sauce they put in the plate really brings out the flavor. My wife ordered Kamikaze roll and couple other ones. They're all very good, crunchy and filling. Definitely coming back for more.

6/23 Lunch Bento Takeout It's my first time eating at Seiko and I ordered the Spicy Tuna Bento Box ($15). It took about 30 mins for preparation but I'm not surprised after I see how much food there is and I can't wait to try it all. 🥢miso soup🥢 4/5 it's your average miso soup with tiny tofu and seaweed. Still hot when I get home. A bit too savory for me. 🥢salad🥢5/5 fresh and yummy. Just enough sauce to cover everything. 🥢edamame🥢4/5 so much edamame!! Love it. But like the miso soup, a bit too much salt. 🥢tempura🥢 5/5 Oh. So yummy. It's crispy and crunchy. The veges are soft oh the inside. The tempura better stays on and it's not soggy at all. Very very well done! 🥢shumai🥢5/5 Warm and delicious. 🥢spicy tuna maki🥢 5/5 So yum. It's actually spicy and taste fresh. 🥢tuna nigiri sushi🥢 3/5 Unfortunately, least favorite out of all. The portion size is great, but the fish doesn't smell fresh. Even with the smell and taste of soy sauce and wasabi, I still smell something funky. Would not order this again. Overall, 4/5 stars! Very nice and friendly service. Good portion size and mostly delicious meal♥️

We love Seiko! We have gone here for years. Great date spot and the food is amazing. The service is also incredible. Don’t miss the rainbow roll and the shrimp tempura roll.

We have tried several sushi places in the area, and this is in the ranks of some of the best. Kelly waited our table and was very personable, friendly, and knowledgeable of the menu. The maki rolls were very unique and the flavors selected worked very well together. Beautiful presentation as well. We tried the shoyu ramen which was good but nothing special. I would definitely focus on sushi sashimi and maki. In the picture is the snow white roll. Highly recommend this place! Will be back soon.

I just moved into the neighborhood and have already gotten takeout from Seiko twice. I have lived in California for the past year, and I thought that coming back to Philly I would never find that quality of sushi here. Boy was I wrong. Seiko is outstanding. Better than any sushi I ever tasted on the West Coast, and easily the best in Philadelphia. Do yourself a favor and order from Seiko now. You will not be disappointed!

Loved it! The food was delicious. We ordered 3 sushi rolls, and beef bimbimbap. The flavor of the sushi was excellent and very fresh. Place was not crowded during COVID and we were offered antibacterial hand sanitizer. Server was very friendly named Kelly and she wore a mask the entire time. Thank you Seiko we wil be back :)

I’ve ordered here several times and each time has been amazing! Not a fan of the ramen, but absolutely love the fried rice, shumai, and all the sushi!! Every sushi I’ve had here tastes fresh and clean, absolutely delicious. Definitely worth it, especially for such a good price. Also, every interaction I’ve had when I’ve picked up my food has been so nice, so great customer service! Will be back many more times.
