A true Wisconsin supper club. It is such a treat to go there.

Super cool little supper club out in the country. My girlfriend and I happened to be driving past right when they opened and there were people standing in line outside. We sat at the bar because we didn't have a reservation but they offered us a table. I ordered filet mignon and every bite was delicious. The tap/well water there IS DELICIOUS!! The service was great. It was fun sitting at the bar with my gf even though we don't drink, we got to watch all the action in this tiny super club. The music they played was rather romantic yacht rock, which I love. The manager told me they don't advertise, and they don't need to. They are busy without it!! The cherry rhubarb meringue crusted dessert (pictured) was pretty good but very sweet. The club was very dark inside, which I liked. The staff all seemed great! I'd love to go back and do it all again with my boyfriend.

You messaged me on why I gave you a not top score. I ordered a 10 oz prime rib RARE I GOT A RIB EYE STEAK MEDIUM WELL. I told my waitress that it world be OK if it was rare. It was not so she took it back to the kitchen. 10 min later I got my 10 on prime medium well It was very good however I do not like well done meat. I personally think it is tough. That is why you got a lower score. I thinkbyour cooks need to take a refresher on how meat should feel when it is rare.

Was our first experience at Shady Grove and they knocked it out of the park. Traditional Wisconsin supper club from the Old Fashioneds to the steaks and prime rib. This will definitely be on our list go to’s!! Thank you for a great evening.

Its not too often that we get a night to go out for dinner just the two of us. We made a great choice and went to the Shady Grove. We enjoyed great service and amazing food. We started with side salads with homemade dressing and pickled beets that were delicious! The dinner rolls were hot and tasty, and our diet cokes never got close to being empty! I enjoyed the prime rib with homemade horse radish sauce and au gratin potatoes. She enjoyed the broiled walleye and hashbrowns. Our first trip down was a huge success, and definitely won't be our last! It was too cold today, but there is also outdoor seating when the weather cooperates!

Absolutely amazing food! My boyfriend had the prime rib and he said it’s by far the best prime rib within a 50 mile radius! I had the filet mignon and it was so delicious. Our server was great and the owner even came over to speak with us which we thought was very nice! Definitely our new favorite place to eat which is hard to find these days!

Emma is super attentive and the utmost professional. I have to give them 7 stars! I'll be back. I went back for seconds and got the Bacon Wrapped Pork Medallions. I have to say Shane cooked them better than anything out of Iowa. I'll be back.

Amazing food and service. Highly recommend.

This was a fantastic choice to celebrate our 35th wedding anniversary. The service is friendly and attentive. We both chose the surf and turf with lobster tail. The sides we chose complemented the main course. As mentioned, they try to turn the tables roughly every hour. The only change we would make is to arrive a half hour early and enjoy the ambiance from the bar.

Everyone we know, LOVES IT! We took my brother-in-law and my sister for his birthday, last Friday night. They were thrilled. Everyone always is!

First time, girls night. Great atmosphere and quiet for as many people they had. Good sound proofing .. good food, and dessert too! Will definitely go back !.. I have to say I was most impressed with the young lady busser, she was on task the whole time we were there. The servers are blessed to have her.

This family-owned supper club is a hidden gem that deserves your attention. Bridget made us feel at home with her hospitality. We dined with friends that recently moved to the area and she introduced us to all the regulars. It is perfect for a family dinner a night out with friends or a romantic night out. The menu offers a range of Wisconsin classics, including brandy old fashions, mouthwatering prime rib and fish fry. An added bonus was the the lobster tail, which was a hit all around. Don't miss their homemade dessert cocktails (pictured). A visit here is not just a meal; it's a heartwarming journey through time, leaving you with a taste of the genuine Wisconsin experience.

Love this restaurant, I've been there 6 or 7 times and always have great food and a fun time. I live in Ellsworth but my family lives in the cities, i love to invite them come and see how great a real Wisconsin supper club can be

We drive more than an hour to have dinner at Shady Grove. We are never disappointed. Great food, terrific service (thanks Abby) and owners (Bridget and Shane) dedicated to delivering a wonderful experience. Not a bad combination. My wife thinks SG is the best restaurant (supper club) in the greater Twin Cities area. Our family enjoys every visit.

One of my favorite restaurant's quality of food is excellent, presentation appealing and wait staff pleasant and attentive.

Shane and Bridget always do a great job, Not rushed, very relaxing delicious dinner. The prime rib is amazing, and our server Abby was just a delight.

Excellent Wisconsin Supper Club experience!

We had reservations for 6:00. No one told me we had a time limit when I made reservations. Got to the table and were told we had an hour.😳. Placed our order. Got our order with 15 minutes to eat. The owner came over and told us 7. We questioned if we only had 15 minutes to eat? ( I had major stomach surgery and it takes me time to eat..)Then she changed it to 7:30 but by that time we had quickly inhaled our food. She was extremely rude, including touching me. Then called me crazy, I told her not to touch me. She told me not to come back but my husband was welcome (not sure if she was coming into him??). I had my card out to pay for the meal, she then crumples up the check and throws my card at me. We were only questioning how we’re were expected to have a relaxed meal in 15 minutes. When our food hadn’t arrived by 6:30 we kept checking the time as we knew we only had table until 7. Wasn’t sure if she were on something but stay away at all costs..I’m wondering how she will respond to this as I told I wouldn’t give a favorable review.. I have never in 60 years been treated this way..

With the popularity of supper clubs on the rise, this is the perfect place to dip your toes in, preferably into the clarified butter that comes with your lobster on the side of your steak. The service is great without being uppity and you don't have to worry about dressing in a suit coat. Bonus points if you want to teach your date how to pronounce filet mignon and vineyard correctly.

My husband and I come here often and are never disappointed. The food, cocktails, and service are amazing every time we dine here. We highly recommend to everyone!

The food was excellent other than my sides of wild rice and sweet potatoes were cold. The entrées were excellent and servers were great. Atmosphere was cozy and not loud. Small and quaint, make reservations. Open Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

This is my favorite hidden gem. It's a knockout every single time! Everything is seasonal and fresh. The staff are all friendly and welcoming. The drinks are phenomenal. Make a reservation so you're able to enjoy.

Onion rings were phenomenal. Fish fry was pretty good. Filet was excellent. Service was pleasant and efficient. Definitely willing to drive the 45 minutes it takes to get there again!

A fantastic restaurant! Food was excellent! Best onion rings I’ve had in my entire life! French onion soup, bison ribeye steak, and fresh green beans all cooked to perfection and very flavorful!

Excellent spot if you want an incredible meal. We are addicted. Best Prime Rib around. Staff is very friendly and welcoming. We really appreciate the attention to detail in the food and their use of high quality ingredients. HUGE fan of what they are doing here.

Well appointed entrees and appetizers. I enjoyed an app called Jewels of The Forest which is Sautéed ramps, fiddle head, asparagus & morel mushrooms. It was to die for. My entree was the lamb chops done medium rare served with roasted red potatoes & truffled mushrooms. I opted to add more morels to my entree for a reasonable upcharge. Delicious. I recommend a stop to this eatery!

My wife and I tried this place for the first time for our Anniversary and it was very good! They were of course short staffed and there were a couple of mistakes made, but the waitress and hostess did a great job of correcting and making you feel welcome. My food was great and the service was good also. I am not sure I have the spelling correct but Kris our waitress and Erin the hostess were awesome with everything. Highly recommend and we can't wait to go back. Thank you again!!!

First time here eating at the restaurant. Have stopped for a cocktail and enjoyed the bar area. Food was good and it dors have kinda a throwback feel to it. Server was attentive and upbeat. Stout beers were served in chilled glasses...guys were not impressed with that. Nice evening...pretty busy. Just as fyi they do close early.

The environment is amazing. Beautiful little place. The service was terrible. Hoping to go back again and receive better service and hot prime rib inside of cold.

Did not know cheese curds could be so delicately flakey and fresh. Staff were delightful, space was pleasant and cozy, and the fettucine alfredo was delicious and came with a nice little French onion soup and truffle oil mushrooms. Can't stop thinking about the cheese curds. 10 stars.

Great experience! The food was awesome (especially the cheese curds!) We had prime rib and lobster and then chicken Marsala, all was very good! Brandy Alexander and old fashion were very very good. Friendly and knowledgeable staff!

Shady Grove is a very cute place with delicious food. I highly recommend the cheese curds and calamari appetizers. As for the entrees, which ever you choose will be worth the price. The servers were very friendly and attentive.

The Lincoln to check out shady grow for a while. Grew up with the owner and chef and went to school with Bridget so the meaning just stopped and I say Hi to them glad I did was a great time ahead by all good to see fellow classmates even after all these years it's good to see and catch up.

Shady Grove is one of our favorite restaurants. The food and service is always excellent and love how they are always adding new/seasonal items to their menu.

Heard a little about the Shady Grove from a few local people in the area. I called to make a reservation during the pandemic and left a voice message on one of the days that they were closed. Within a half hour my call was returned by the owner Bridget. She made my day with her upbeat and positive attitude. She spent 20 minutes of her time to uncover my needs, wants, and the occasion for my visit. Even sent me photos of the food Shane created. Can't wait to check this out!

This is one of my all time favorite places. The food is amazing!

We decided to check this place out last week and are glad we did. What a nice cozy place to have a great dinner. We were warmly greeted when we got there and the great service didn't end until we said goodbye. Nicely decorated and very clean inside. The food was fantastic, from the melt-in-your-mouth onion rings to the main course. The steak and pork tenderloin were cooked to perfection as well as the side dishes (asparagus and au gratin potatoes). We are already discussing what we will try the next time we come out, which will be soon!

This hidden gem is worth the drive out. It is a small restaurant with a handful of tables and a bar. Reservations are good to get, otherwise you might end up at the bar. This ranks in my top ten favorite places. Everything in the menu is wonderful and made fresh. Even their ranch is homemade. My favorite is the chicken marsala. It's well worth the scenic drive out to them between River falls and Ellsworth.

We have always had a wonderful experience here! If you are looking for a wonderful environment, amazing food, and wonderful service, this is the place!!!

Fantastic food and drinks. Not inexpensive but worth it. If there is one criticism it would be this: even on a slow night (4 tables) they pack you in right next to one another.

We had the best experience at shady! From our soups and salad, to the entrees of Ribeye and Lobster Tails, finishing off with after dinner drinks and Vanilla bean creme brûlée’s, dining was superb. Our service was friendly and warm, and the atmosphere is small and quaint. It’s a must visit, and a must return... put it on your favorite dining list for date night.

Best Restaurant we have been to in a long while. Great food, all locally sourced foods, wines. The service and staff are very nice. It isn't a large Restaurant so make reservations. The drive is also beautiful. We go back there often. Promise you will enjoy the experience, appetizers, food and desserts.

Great food and excellent service. Flavorful prime rib and a tasty morel/fiddlehead fern/ramp starter. The lamb kebabs were so flavorful I couldn’t bear to dip them in the delicious tzaziki! Creme brûlée was fantastic. Couldn’t have asked for better service.

As always the meal was exceptional. I had the bison which is raised locally covered with shrimp. My wife had fiddle fern risotto with mushrooms. The ferns we're picked outback. Service was excellent,if you stop Wednesday, Thursday, or Sunday you probably won't need reservations. Truly enjoyable!
