Recently celebrated family birthday brought own cake. Was told they charge $25 if we served own cake! Not good. Will not return. Thought it was a Family restaurant.

Delicious. Reminded me of the east coast Italian family restaurants I used to eat dinner in weekly. You can taste the family recipes, it's very well done. Cute little atmosphere and friendly, happy service. Perfect.

A staple in dining out. Always friendly and always delicious. Baked Zitti tonight and, as usual, a solid choice. No rice ball for us tonight, but I highly recommend trying them.

We've been here nearly a half dozen times. We drive 25 minutes just to have the most delicious meatball lasagna and because of the owner. Every time, he'll stop by the table, squeeze your shoulder and thank you for dinning with them. Not because he recognizes us, but because he just wants everyone to feel special. And it works. Plus the lasagna is amazing. He slow cooks a huge home made meatball, then slices it and layers it in the lasagna. It's impossible to describe how delicious it is.

I'd give it 5* if the tables weren't so close to one another but at the same time, was thrilled we could get in. Subbed broccoli with the eggplant parm and enjoyed both. Waiter excellent. Parking a little tough but lucked out into a spot. Definitely want to go back.

Amazing food all around. From appetizers to desert, phenomenal. It gets packed, so best to call ahead. We were from out of town and a large group, but they fit us in by moving tables to back patio. Lots of regulars who were about as friendly as folks can get. Honestly some of the best food I have had and the female server was great, didn't miss a beat with a large group. And her recommendation (pork chops) were amazing...and I'm not a pork chops kinda guy.

Was a very good dining experience for the wife and I. Grilled chicken Alfredo and seafood pasta. The Calamari appetizer was among the best I've had. The service was fantastic as well and I would definitely love to return.

The service and atmosphere were great. The food was good, just not as great as I had heard. I had Chicken Parmigiano and it was good, but nothing special. My bourbon and coke was weak, with lots of ice. There wasn't a ton of parking and the spots are slim.

I thought that this place was overpriced for what you got. My wife and I went. I had spaghetti with sausage (only one over cooked sausage came with it). My wife had a chicken dish. She had a cocktail, I had a glass of wine and with tip the bill was over $100. The portion I had was small. Could have gone to Olive Garden and had a better meal for about half that amount. I will say that the staff was friendly and accommodating and the owner did come out to say hello, but we will not be back. It was just not a good value for what you got.

Absolutely delicious!! I had fettuccine Alfredo with chicken and broccoli, Cesar salad, and ended with Italian cream Cake. Recommend it highly. My hubby had linguini with calms and my daughter had the pork chop. Our meals were the bomb! Can’t wait to go back.

It was okay..toasted ravioli was good and hot the rice ball was cold.. lasagna .meatball was okay a little different but sauce good. If i go back will try the salmon it looked delicious.

The food was okay but definitely not worth the price. We were told the table we reserved was no higher than my kitchen table. It was the really high table with high chairs. The shorter adults in our group were uncomfortable the whole time. Service was slow and the waitress knocked over a full glass of lemonade on my granddaughter soaking her right after we got there. They didn't even comp her drink or her meal. That really didn't sit well with my daughter. Half of our 12 person group said their food was burnt and didn't eat it. A family of 4 in our group paid 222.00 and 2 of them didn't eat theirs. We won't go back unfortunately.

The pork chops was amazing. Cooked perfectly, moist with tasty grill marks. The fig sauce was an excellent accompaniment

Just in Louisville for the day and looking for a place to have a nice dinner. Silvio’s was recommended. I can’t tell you how glad I was to get that rec. The place was already packed at 5:00 but they graciously fit me in with no reservation. (But next time I will definitely call ahead) Both the owner and his wife came to my table to introduce themselves. The menu has everything you could possibly want but I chose one of the specials: a shrimp and pasta with roasted pepper cream sauce. It was so good! The service was top notch. I can’t say enough nice things about Silvio’s. I’m just sorry I didn’t find it sooner. Great place. Great food!

Our first time there for our sons 17th birthday was great, staff & owner were awesome..all our food was great . Our picky 6 year old loved her spaghetti. Good times

Wow, this is such a fantastic place! We have been here many times, but tonight, 12/29/23, may have been the best! The atmosphere was so welcoming, the service from Michelle was excellent and the food was amazing. We have had many things here, but the calamari, baked ziti, chicken parm and bolognese were just great. With two hungry sons, the generous bread servings were much appreciated. And then, not that we needed them, but the cannolis hit the spot. We just love Karen and it was so fun to see Jackie behind the bar. THIS is the best Italian spot in town…Get a reservation because this is a popular place and well deserved.

Everything I've tasted on the menu has been superb, but let me tell you about the broccoli: if you like broccoli, get it. That's it. Also to note, such an amazing atmosphere.

As always, the food was great, but the dining experience was spoiled by our waitress (Cyonne). Hard to imagine how an owner with so much personality could employ/tolerate someone serving his customers with such a poor attitude. I've spent the past few years talking this place up to my family that lives out of town, so it was disappointing to have this type of result. Felt rushed and got treated like we were a burden throughout the meal -- despite us treating her well and making her job as easy as possible.

Disappointing. We had not been there for awhile and we're looking forward to going. But food and drink prices were higher and food was not as good as expected or remembered.

I have to be honest - I am one of those New York City restaurant snobs who looks down his nose at most restaurants not in NYC, particularly Italian joints that can't hold a candle to what Italian immigrants and their professionally trained progeny have been serving up for generations. But man oh man, Silvio's knocked my socks off with its balance of traditional Italian American red-sauce staples like chicken parm, ravioli, and lasagna (the marinara is to die for), an excellent drink selection, impeccable service, all at a very reasonable price point. Their recipes may be family inspired, but the chef clearly is a pro. Well done, sir! If Louisville had Italian mobsters, they would be eating here :) Best Italian I've had in Louisville by far, and honestly, if Silvio's was in NYC, this guy would be a regular. Love Silvio's, and can't wait to attack another one of those delicious rice balls when I return to Louisville!

What a fantastic little spot for some Italian food. It was a vibrant place to have a lovely date or a night out alone or with a friend(s). My husband and I chose this place for our post-anniversary date. From the moment we stepped inside, we were greeted with such excitement that it made us not want to leave. Every person we encountered greeted us with such enthusiasm. The food was amazing (although the pork chop was a bit too thick for my taste), everything else was delicious (I took my leftovers home and devoured them). There are a few items on the menu that we would like to try, so we will definitely be coming back. What made it even better was that we had the opportunity to meet the Head Chef. They were a very kind person. We just felt so welcomed, and the staff makes you want to come back. Highly recommend.

Silvio's is a really charming restaurant with excellent service, terrific ambience and delicious cuisine. It's utterly unassuming, which reminds me of good Italian restaurants in New York City and in Italy itself-- but the hospitality is authentically Southern, which is a bonus. The Rice Ball appetizer is exceptional. The menu offers a really nice assortment of options, and the liquor choices are plenty.

Went there tonight. As usual the atmosphere and waiters did not disappoint. However, my friend and I ordered the seafood pasta which I have had before and liked.. My friend selected Silvio's for his birthday dinner - we frequented there February 2023. Silvio's is located in St. Matthews and i was pleasantly surprised to park across the street. I had no issue with locating a parking spot. Make a reservation. We had a small wait of 15-20 minutes with the reservation, but the service was great and so was the food. Appetizer - cheese ravioli and bruschetta; both are shareable for a table. We really enjoyed the cheese ravioli! I just wasn't a fan of the bruschetta because it wasn't warm. I ordered the chicken parmesan- Wonderful! Friend ordered - lasagna meatball - Great! These were good portions. A server came over and grated cheese for us, as well! Very nice! I ordered the vegetable medley, and it didn't taste good. I thought it was just me - so I invited my friend to try it, and he too said he didn't care for it. It was assorted vegetables that seemed like they were grilled with some form of oil coated on them. I would not order the vegetable medley - but all the other food was tasty and good. For dessert the Italian slice of cake was ordered- it was beautiful and enough for two people. Just enough icing, and not too sweet! There was good lighting.
