Elegant restaurant, good sea view, good food!

Michael provided excellent service. 🤗 This place has great hospitality and beautiful ambience. We ordered the dry aged t bone, seabass entree, clam chowder, fried onions, ceaser salad and key lime pie.

If you know the right person, you don’t have to wait to get a nice table overlooking Fisher Island… 😉 I love the steak there!

The food was delicious, I recommend the steaks and cheesecake, soo good , David was our server , he was amazing and very nice, definitely will be back again.

It's good buttt I didn't have a steak 🤦🏼‍♀️ I didnt realize the person I suggested this place to was a vegetarian! So I ordered the beet salad and tuna tartare and some great red wine. It's was good, nothing crazy and no complaints. Just kinda "vanilla".

Absolutely phenomenal place! Probably with the most beautiful view of the harbor and Fisher Island. Discreet Service serves culinary delights that are quite difficult for one person to cope with. I just came across the seasonal hot menu, a selection of 3 starters, a main course and desserts. Typically, this type of menu in most restaurants is tasting portions, but here they serve full, delicious dishes. I chose the Wollensky salad, filet mignon on smooth, fluffy mashed potatoes and asparagus, and finally, homemade chocolate cake! My taste buds exploded, I strongly recommend this restaurant to you, it's hard for me to believe that anyone could be disappointed.

I had been to this place several times before, and it had always been a very pleasant experience. Recently, I went with the Miami Spice program, which I have participated in at other places over the years, such as Prime 54, and the experience has always been good. Unfortunately, this wasn’t the case with S&W. Perhaps it was just a coincidence, but the burrata toast was inedible—stale, hard, and cold. I couldn’t even chew the edge. The steak was very dry, despite ordering it medium. Even the salad felt like it was old leftovers. My husband ordered fish, and it wasn’t good either—dry, not juicy, and the presentation was terrible. I didn’t take any pictures of my food, but he did. I’m not a picky eater at all, and I’m usually very easy to please, but the quality was just lacking. Too much staff for such poor quality. None of the dishes were served truly hot. In short, for Miami Spice, I won’t be returning to this place.

Waiter only came over once , then process by committee, with servers , they dropped the ball! Ordered filet medium, came out well done! Ordered burger medium, cam out well done! ,waiter never came to check! Baked potato nuked and was cold, first time came out with bacon , which did not order. Service bad , food disappointed especially with overinflated pricing!

This place has extremely high prices and you get small amounts of food. We only did appetizers. We had 1 crab cake $28 & 4 scallops $25. We had 2 expresso martinis. $42. The best thing it was on the ocean entry to the Miami port. We saw two ships leave. Valet charge was an auto 15.00. A great place to people watch.

Grat restaurant with amazing service by David. He was very accommodating and funny. Three of us loved him. Good food, big portions and reasonable prices, good selection of wine.

When you order $105.00, steak med rare, and when it comes very chard med well. Disappointed is an understatement. Marco, our server, agreed to my conclusion. He offered to replace it, but my steak should come out perfect in the first place. "It is a high-end steakhouse," The truffle mac and cheese dry and oily. The creamed spinach was very good, but it never made it back to go bag. They did bring us 2 slices of cheese cake for the ruined steak. I just expected better, but all I got was disappointment. Unfortunately, I won't be returning.

One word.. Nick!! We love him. He’s the reason we come here. So much personality. He is the best bartender.

Definitely not what it used to be. I have been eating here for over 30 years, and it just gets worse and worse, which is sad, but hey, it happens. I would suggest they close or remodel and go back to buying quality food. The burgers are atrocious. Even the waiter that has also been there for a few decades agreed and admitted to me that the quality is just not the same.

Smith and Wollemsky is an exceptional restaurant. The service is impeccable, the food delicious and the atmosphere welcoming. I highly recommend the beef fillet and mushroom risotto. Great selection of wines. An unforgettable culinary experience. Perfect for a special dinner or business meeting.

I am in Miami Beach for the weekend. Was looking for something a little higher end and was referred somewhere, but go to that place and unfortunately it wasn’t open yet. Quick google search provided me Smith & Wollensky. The shrimp cocktail is one of the best I’ve had, the bread for the table was quite delicious, and the truffle fries were super good. I got the 10oz standard filet and it was solid. We had two servers, not sure if that’s normal or if one was being trained, however both were very nice and attentive. They had east coast oysters on the menu and we ordered them, but unfortunately I didn’t react quickly enough as I was focused on the shrimp and I didn’t get anyway. I ordered a lobster tail as a side for my steak and it was the only disappointing part. The lobster tail was pretty mid, however it was only $19 and I’m use to paying at least double if not quadruple that, so I wasn’t upset. As for a table by the water. Great views. Even got to see the world’s largest cruise ship pass by. Mind you, I’m not exactly into cruise ships but it was so massive it was just cool to see in person.

Such a nice evening celebrating our Anniversary. We were told no wait, then there was a wait but then when we got to the outdoor seating area, they made sure to seat us right away. The food was delicious as were the drinks (espresso martini, lemon drop martini and the bottle of wine). Will definitely be going back.

I went here to celebrate my bday and this is the best places I’ve ever went. It had a nice vintage vibe and they had really nice service. Best place to recommend for a special occasion and the Miami spice was a chef kiss. I would go again the next time I come to visit Miami. Manny is goated btw

The location of the diner is very nice, sitting by the window allows you to see excellent water view and big cruise lines passing by. It was our first time trying dry-aged steak and we were awed by how good it tasted. The service was amazing, our server Jerilyn was very friendly and humorous, which is not always the case with servers in Miami. We enjoyed our time there and we are glad we went to dine there.

My sister who is a frequent customer took me for my first time for a birthday lunch the atmosphere and the overall Ambiance including the volume of the music playing was very relaxing our server Jennifer was very polite and professional and made sure everything was to our liking, and it was, our food was outstanding starting with the crab cake hors d'oeuvre I had the steak potato and asparagus perfectly cooked, my sister had the best burger ever. My husband and I will be back soon

We had the Miami Spice menu. Overall the meal was quality but the cooking of the meats was reversed (rare and medium rare for me) with a supplement of $25 on the largest meat and the desserts were disappointing for a brand of this quality. The chocolate cake could have tasted like real chocolate and the cheesecake didn't taste like cheesecake (too soft texture and not fresh enough). It's a shame to end on this disappointing note. It wasn't the first time we ate at this restaurant but it was the first time we were disappointed.

Angel jerilyn, This guy was one of the best servers I ever had in miami. He is really polite, and have a good taste to indicate the foods on the menu. Hope he gets the best, because I really liked his person.

It's a perfect done in place along with an excellent outside and indoor bar. The food is cooked to perfection and the choice of available options is immense. I loved their shellfish tower along with their medium rare lamb chops. Good place, will surely visit again if in the area

Excellent place for American food and seafood, the taste of the dishes we ordered was incredible, the service and careful attention of Angel, our waiter, and his entire team, in his section, was wonderful. Their contagious good energy made me definitely want to come back for another fantastic evening in the following week.

We decided to order online delivery. Everything was great, delicious, everything is good, but that same night we started to have severe nausea, heartburn and stomach pain... we couldn't sleep for half the night, the next day the nausea continued. I think the problem is in the oil in which everything was fried. And we paid $300 for the food. if you have an allergy or intolerance to seafood, bad low-quality oil, then I do not recommend this restaurant

Smith & Wollensky in Miami Beach is the best S&W anywhere in the country. The outdoor bar is the perfect spot to unwind, where bartenders Genie and Tim deliver not just expertly crafted drinks but also a touch of genuine warmth and humor. Their efficient, friendly service turns an ordinary meal into a standout experience, making every moment and penny spent truly worthwhile.

I’ve never had a steak seasoned in mold until now. This was my third time here, other two I have eaten outside and have always enjoyed it. This was my first time eating inside and will be my last. The food was great, as always. Service was slower than I’d expect but I’m on vacation, no rush. What upset me was the moldy water that was dripping from the ceiling onto everything on the table. The water would leak from the AC vents and fall into everything. The ceiling tiles surrounding these are vents were covered in mold. I’ve never had the pleasure of eating a $90 steak seasoned with moldy water. I will take my future business elsewhere.

One of the best-kept secrets in South Beach ... that's probably not a secret anymore. ;) I always bring guests from out of town here because the setting is spectacular, right on the water, which is a rarity among Miami restaurants and bars, believe it or not. You can't go wrong with most things on the menu, but I usually love to enjoy a tuna or steak tartare, oysters, or a salad, along with a crisp glass of wine at the outside bar. Feel the breeze, mingle with locals, and you'll be taken care of by the outside bar's best bartender, Genie. She always has great wine suggestions for me, tailored to what I'm eating or feeling, and she is a joy to spend time chatting with. This is old-school hospitality in a fresh, relaxed and modern way. Seriously—swing by the outside bar and ask Genie what's good. You will be in excellent hands.

Went for my husband’s birthday. First time there and will be the last. First, very strong and humid smell from the moment you walk in. You can actually feel dampness. Bathroom was not clean at all. You could see dust and you can tell it is not cleaned properly. Service was lacking. Sometimes felt rushed by the assistant waiter. Did the Miami Spice (possibly a mistake). The filet mignon that I requested medium well was actually well done and charred on the outside. My daughter’s filet mignon was rare, although asked for medium well. We asked for 1 chocolate cake and 2 cheesekars for dessert. The waiter did not let us know ahead of time that they had run out of the chocolate cake. They simply brought out 3 cheesecakes. We were offered American coffee on the house as a “make-up” for not having the chocolate cake. In a nutshell S&M is overpriced, okd and outdated, not clean, need better and more professional waiters. Definitely waaaaaaayyyyyyy better choices for steak houses. We will continue with Morton and Ruth’s Chris.

Great food and service in a truly magnificent setting. Plan to catch a sunset and possibly get to see the cruise ships going out right in front of you as you dine. Make sure to ask for Genie at the bar She is an excellent bartender and person. She will be able to recommend cocktails food, and even local places to go around town. You’ll want to return to see her again !

The key in the restaurant industry is the people and there is no one better than Genie - who works at the outside bar. She was immediately welcoming, personable, knew the area really well and seemed to know everyone's name and their history. Genie exemplifies customer service.

One of the best waterside experiences in Miami. Don’t forget to top your meal with the most delicious coconut cake. Great job from Angel and Yarelin. We had the Rib Eye and Filet Mignon — cooked to perfection. Highly recommend to add the mashed potatoes and the corn as side dishes. Will be back soon.

The parking valet are He is a scammer who watches the customers when they are waiting for their table for an hour and walks around the park to charge more after the restaurant tells you that everything is fine and that you can walk while you wait for your table and then want to charge 60 and 50 dólar bc hi no remember 😂😂😂😂 went the parking it’s 15 dollars

Beautiful view.. prices of food was astronomical and the service was sub par… paid 78$ for a ribeye steak that came with no sides and the paid 10$ for a side of fries that we tiny and stale and worse then fries from Burger King. Also waiter dropped tongs on my grandmothers head !!!! Portions of other meals from our party were tiny and mediocre quality for the price… disappointing. One thing I can say is that my espresso martini was very good..

A bad experience that did not advise anyone. Nothing we ordered was of good quality and on top of that it was almost $400 wasted in the trash. For a hundred more erutos, you have MILOS at your side that takes you to seventh heaven, for everything: product quality and exceptional service

I just walked into Smith & Wollensky. It is extremely hot outside, so I removed my cover-up on the walk in. I wanted to cool down inside the air conditioning before covering up again. Before entering, I made sure to ask a worker who was exiting if there was a dress code and if it would be okay for me to walk in the way I was dressed. She said yes. When I walked in and asked for a table, the hostess immediately said I could have a table but needed to cover up. As I was beginning to put my cover up on, I explained that I would have covered before walking in, but one of their coworkers had just told me it was fine. In a condescending, snarky way, she replied, "Well, yes, you need a cover-up because it's a restaurant," as if the restaurant isn’t directly next to a beach. Then she and another worker exchanged some strange, mean-spirited giggles. I turned around and walked out. As someone who creates and sets policies for her own corporation, I am the first to follow instructions, which is why I asked to ensure that I was doing so. However, I refuse to dine with a business that feels the way to enforce a policy is to condescend or look down on me. I will not be returning. And I don't know if it’s because I am Black or what, but if you are Black, be mindful before dining and spending your money here.

We had been several times at this restaurant but hadn’t been in a couple of years, decided to go back because even though it has been outdated for years there was always good food and service, I can tell you we couldn’t be more disappointed; Food was ok, service was also ok, music volume would go up and down, crazy hot inside to the point that we could finish the dinner nor the bottle of wine, columns’ wood trim falling apart, I am going to make it simple, I won’t ever go back until I hear it was tear down and rebuilt and that the service went back to what once was… there are many restaurants that offer a lot more in Miami and South Florida in general, no need to settle for this one.

It was our wedding anniversary and normally the table would be set up however there was nothing. Normally we'll be offered a desert and there was nothing. They dropped the ball. The waiter needs help in customer service. He was a 1 out of 10. We ordered scallops as an appetizer, which was great, but it seemed like they were cut in half to make four. Not enough to share at all. My Cajun ribeye with bone in was amazing. My husband had New York strip and lobster tail, which was also amazing. The sides we ordered were enough for two. Parking is horrible. Make reservations after 6. Good thing we valle. Although valle parking was also offered for beach goers and not just for the restaurant. Our overall experience would be a 3 out of 10.

Great service, great food and of course the view is a dream. We were able to eat outside today and enjoy the evening right by the water. The service was very professional and not too intrusive, but every wish was fulfilled immediately. The food, from starter to main course to dessert, was the best thing I had the pleasure of eating in two weeks in Florida. Unfortunately we had problems with our German credit card. I would recommend a visit to anyone if you want to have a nice evening, but if you have foreign credit cards you might want to collect cash beforehand. I had to take an Uber across the city again because I was so uncomfortable not being able to pay directly. My wife wanted to wait by the water and was chatted to very politely and nicely by the waiters during the time and even received a few niceties from them Kitchen. False advertisement Says $25 welcome and I registered and you get no $25

This was one of the worst dining experiences we have had. What a disappointment and waste of $290! Not including the tip. The service was so bad...read on and you'll understand . I ordered the boneless Ny Strip $75 and a lobster tail $19. The steak was extremely salty and was barely edible, the waiter offered to take it back to the kitchen run it underwater and resear it!!! I declined, it was already past the medrare temp I ordered. The lobster tail was bland and overcooked. Mac and cheese was greasy. My husband ordered the 28 oz ribeye. It was a little tough and a little over cooked. The waiter appeared at our table 3 times. First to take our order, about 15 - 20 minutes after we got our meal and at the end of the meal to offer a refill of empty drinks. Which were just about empty at the beginning of the meal. We won't be back!

As of July 18th 2024, this restaurant has a disgusting wet, moldy smell to it that is just disgusting. Way to pricey to dining in a smelly restaurant. No manager came over to see how our meal was going. There are much better steakhouses and fine dining restaurants in Miami beach. The server was also mediocre and not too friendly. Will never return to this place.

Thank you so much for making our 2 year anniversary so special. The food was delicious, the Signature Filet Mignon was cooked to perfection. The Twin Petite Filet Mignon was equally as delicious per the Mrs. The Truffle Mac-n-Cheese was amazing, a fantastic dish to share. We both loved it. The Coconut Cake dessert was also fantastic and delicious. The service was spectacular and the view of the ocean was beautiful. It's on the pricier side but worth it. We can't wait to go back.

The steak here was some of the best I've ever had, and the service was fantastic. We had to wait a bit longer for our food, but the restaurant made up for it by giving us a free drink or dessert. It wasn't a big deal, but they went above and beyond, which shows great service.

Absolutely amazing food! What a wonderful experience. Eugene and Henry did an outstanding job serving and were amazing and so polite to myself and my fiance. They were extremely knowledgeable.

My family came in town for the holiday so I brought them here for the view and the food. The view was obviously great, but by the end of dinner I was vomiting my brains out in the bathroom. So ya not coming here again.

We love this place. We visit here every time in Miami. Came here yesterday, sat at an outdoor table close to the rocks. We had the seafood tower and at was very good and fresh. But most of all our server gave us excellent service, checked up on us often and even took some pictures of us, for us. Great job! Drinks were very good too. We will be back.

I recently dined at Smith & Wollensky in Miami Beach and overall, I'd give it four stars mainly due to the stunning visual appeal. The restaurant boasts beautiful views, especially for watching fireworks during holidays. However, I found the prices to be quite high, and the food fell short of expectations. The ambiance and location are truly spectacular, making it a great spot for special occasions. However, during specific holidays, the staff seemed to rush our dining experience, even attempting to clear our table within an hour. To add to this, they brought the dessert menu after my friend and I had only ordered our appetizers. Despite the amazing views and elegant ambiance, the food left much to be desired. While the restaurant has its charms, I'd advise setting expectations accordingly when it comes to the dining experience.

The best thing about this place is sitting outside and enjoying the view of the sea.

Food and service were great last night but watch out for a deceptive, abusive, and unfair practice here when you pay. We asked for the check and our server (Jerilyn) said, “Service is not included in the bill, will you allow me to put the gratuity for you? 20% is typically recommended.” This seemed odd to me but I said, “Sure, you can put 20%.” She brings back the check, smiles, then walks away. We was just going to sign and leave but noticed that she put 30% instead of 20% gratuity. When confronted, she said she was “having a busy day” and apologized. It didn’t seem to me like she was the type to be flustered or make mistakes since she seemed calm and proficient. She probably does this often and half the customers just sign or leave without checking the gratuity amount she puts on the check. Please be careful! FYI I have been going Smith in NY for 20 years but went to the Miami branch while on vacation.

I sat at the outdoor bar. Ceasar and William were great! I've heard so many positive and negative things about this location. The view is 5 stars 🌟 Cleanliness 5 stars 🌟 Service from Ceasar and William 5 stars 🌟 I kept it simple and had the Wollensky Salad and MANY margaritas. It was all amazing. I will return and I do recommend it to friends and family. Single women- it's a good place to meet men. LOL.

If you plan to go you have to book in advance because it is always full. You may be lucky to go to the bar sometimes. We ordered Burgers for lunch and the Mac and Cheese which is delicious a classic. If you manage to book outside, the trip will be fabulous on the seashore.

I can not visit Miami without going to S&W. This establishment has truly become a staple of my Miami experience! Never a bad dish, the service is always impeccable and Val the GM is one of the best in the business! Hands down one of my favorite restaurants! #normalguysuperlife

Delicious dinner, food presentation was great, everything was fresh, service was fantastic, The bartender pours a damn good drink!

Stunning location. Service was quick, personable, knowledgeable, patient, professional, and kind. Everyone was so nice and welcoming. It’s an outstanding lunch location. We arrived when they opened. We enjoyed the raw oysters and jumbo shrimp. Everything tasted super fresh and the accoutrements made the seafood pop with flavor. The rosemary bread for the table was delicious. If you like steak sandwiches, their tenderloin sandwich is a 10/10.

I think the kitchen had an off night. Most of it was very good. I hope to get back soon and try it again.

Excellent food and good atmosphere!

Overrated, mediocre at best, and because of that, way overpriced compared to the competition... the best bites I had there last night were from the seafood tower, which was priced comparably. But ironically enough, the steak experience was disappointing. My flat iron first came in way overcooked, and then I realized as well that the garnishment concept was, let's just say, unpleasant and made the steak even worse. I sent it back and asked for it plain so as not to take away from the steak again. And then it comes back smaller sized and under. But if I can't have it medium, I would rather have wagyu under than over, so I moved on with my meal... the building as a whole needs a complete refurbishment, which they admit in the sign upfront. I didn't necessarily appreciate the flies and the lack of air flow... but food wise, I don't think I would bother with their steaks again, just their shellfish. It makes me wonder if I should ever bother with another location in a different state, either... to add to my point, the wollensky salad concept isn't good either. Fundamentally, the food itself isn't that great for what you're spending.
