Love to visit when we are in Plant City. It is always one of our go to places.

We used to eat dinner here all the time years ago, and the food was pretty good. We have eaten here a few times since moving back to Plant City. We keep trying hoping that maybe it was just a bad day for them. We ordered again tonight, and the food was gross. My husband ordered the hamburger steak medium. It was so hard. I orders beef tips and okra. The beef tips were almost black and tasted burnt, and the okra’s batter was still not cooked in areas.

Fast service and the breakfast Cubans are a must!!!

It was terrible. The floor was sticky. The silverware was sticky. The food was too greasy and disgusting. The walls needed to be dusted. Everything had dust on it.

Stop there, had a club sandwich with my wife. The food was excellent. The service was great, will definitely stop again.

2nd Saturday of the month live Blue Grass music around 6:30pm. Plays around 2 to 3 hours. Not loud amplified just straight off the instruments. Eat while you listen. Took my Great Granddaughter and she loves to listen.

Foods great every time, staff is fun and inviting, portions are perfect, I always have some to take home. Favorite breakfast spot in PC by far.

Omg I moved to Plant City 2 1/2 years ago and I can not believe this gem has been under my nose all this time! The staff was courteous and friendly. I had there Turkey club and it was amazing made with fresh carved turkey! I’m definitly coming back and I’m bringing my mom and my kids!

Fair mom and pop place. Went for breakfast. Portions were small. Service was good. Food was average tasting.

Didn't like it at all inside decor needs updating the walls needed wiped down and the items on selves need dusting. I ordered a blt and the bacon was so greasy and my sandwich had no flavor and all. My friend food had mashed potatoes and Gravy that tasted like out of a box mix. We didn't care for this place at all.

I didn't have the opportunity to celebrate Mother's Day on Sunday because I work, but Monday my son took me to this amazing place in downtown Plant City. This is the first time either one of us has tried it and it was so amazing. We both had Patty melts and this was the best patty melt I have ever tasted. Yes a real patty melt, rye bread Swiss cheese to make it even better it's fresh hamburger meat. I will definitely be back. The only downside is they close at 2:00 p.m. luckily we got there about 1:00. I highly highly highly highly recommend this place

Staff are great! Food is great, portions are smaller than they used to be. And I wish they didn't put celery in 5he potato salad, macaroni salad and peanut salad!

The food was ok could you some more seasonings. The service could have been a little better. The atmosphere seems tired. The decor on the inside could you some refreshing. The prices were great for the amount of food you get.

Got the two pork chops, one fried and one grilled. The grilled one was super flavorful and tough. The fried one was nice and soft and buttery. Complimented each other perfectly! The garlic bread and okra are also great

Food was nasty, served on cafeteria style trays. Table was sticky and service was sub par.

I grew up eating at this restaurant my grandparents ate there as well but after the change of hands the food is no longer as good and the portions are not at all as what we received before I always loved the salad bar that was my favorite it needs to be returned to its former glory and the prices are very unfair

First time here. I had the country fried steak, gr beans, and mashed potatoes. Excellent. Hubs had corned beef hash. Very good. Looked good to me, too. It's definitely a return to place. Sorry, no photos, I was hungry.

It was awesome! It was like a blast from the past! It was totally delicious comfort food! The waitress was amazing! She was very service oriented. The restaurant itself was cozy, but spacious. It was a good meal and a great experience!

The food was really good and the service was fast

I ordered via door dash. I typically expect colder food etc. However I was happy to find I received very hot tasty food. Outstanding corned beef hash and tried chicken liver and they were great. Just wish I could go in person for breakfast but they open to late. Only knock would be food could use a little more seasoning but still low ve it and highly recommend.

The bacon was great, home fries not so good, very skimpy over biscuit. Not a lot of food for the price.

If I could give less than one star I would. Food was garbage and service wasn’t any better. 50 bucks for two for breakfast is absolutely insane for a home town diner. Plus over and hour wait after we ordered. I do not recommend.

Great diner on the heart of downtown Plant City. My dad and I have breakfast together every couple of weeks. This was his suggestion this week. Food is what you would expect from a diner. Staff was friendly and had conversations with the table, not just "Are you ready to order?" There is a small town country feel to the atmosphere from the decor all the way down to the uneven table that rocked when you leaned on it. I had eggs, bacon, and grits and though there was nothing extraordinary about them, they were cooked to order and served with a smile. It was a nice change from the everyday franchised breakfast place.

If you miss your Grandma’s cooking, eat here. Food is fantastic and service is super friendly.

Food tasted good, just light on the meat for the price of the sandwiches. Maybe the staff was tired as we were there just after the lunch rush. We have been there before during a car show; the food and service was better then.

Cuban sandwich needed more than one slice of meat and one piece of cheese. Waitress was nice but seems like we interrupted her break after a busy lunch rush. Restaurant needed some clean tables,

Ok food. Chicken waffle edible but underwhelming. Biscuits and gravy the same. 2 of 4 meals were missed by chef. Staff apologized but service did not get better. Disorganized. Disappointing.

My favorite home town restaurant!

This is a good little spot for breakfast or lunch in Downtown Plant City. My fav is their Cuban breakfast sandwiches - meat, eggs and cheese served on fresh, pressed Cuban bread - yum! Always served fresh and hot. The owners are friendly and work very hard. The restaurant is clean and rustic, which fits in with the Downtown Plant City antique and novelty shopping area. There’s a City parking lot across the street or park curbside. We love supporting this local establishment. Give them a try!

Standard ameri-fare food, but reasonably priced. Service has always been quick. I've only had breakfast, but everything tasted fine. It has been a staple in Plant City for years. It's worth checking out. Plus, you can get fried green tomatoes for breakfast!

I always enjoy eating here. Great place to eat and visit with locals who are regulars. I love the Wednesday meatloaf and my favorite is liver and onions with a side of bacon!! Nice waitresses to serve you fast

My wife and I stopped by here on our way home from Walt DisneyWorld. We found this place online and it is a short side trip off of I-4 in downtown Plant City. The employees were friendly and our service was excellent at first, though our server did disappear halfway through our meal so the service wasn't as good towards the end of our meal. My wife had collard greens, fried okra, and chicken gizzards & livers. She said they were the best she had ever had and everything was excellent. I had the turkey club with fries and their salad bar. The salad bar and my food ranged from average to very good depending on the item I tried. They cook their own turkey for the club and the only 'negative' was that I asked for easy mayo but the sandwich came with an excessive amount of mayo on it. Their menu is fairly extensive and anyone in your party should be able to find something they like to eat. I would highly recommend this place when you are in the area.

An Old Time restaurant with great food, clean tables and great staff.

Food was delicious service was great in store. Called back because was given fruit cup with only bananas and server was happy to replace it. Manager called back left voicemail saying that the bananas were the fruit cup because their strawberries weren’t good. Server was friendly and attentive, the manager was not. I wanted a fruit cup, not a banana. It was not about the money but good service.

Amazing spot in downtown Plant City. Excellent food and they prepared the corn beef hash the way it wanted it. The other days was excellently prep.

Waitress was very nice but food was absolutely disgusting. I got the grilled chicken breast, which tasted like it was boiled in bag, unsalted fries and bland, mushy mac & cheese. Nothing was seasoned and I couldn't even finish it even after adding some salt/pepper. Also pretty expensive for what you get...for 2 people was $34 including a mandatory minimum 20% tip. Not that I mind tipping but if you're going to have the audacity to require a minimum tip, your food better be good. Without a doubt the worst place I've ever ate at. Will not be returning.

Great food, friendly service! Would definitely recommend stopping here. We were doing a cruise from Sky powersports in Lakeland to brick house but it was way to crowded to go and we decided to go here instead. I enjoyed it and will probably visit again.

Great food people and atmosphere

Clean salad bar and restaurant. Quick, polite service. Food served hot. Prices fair. Fish & hamburger steak with onions were good. Mac & cheese is not good. There was no cheese or flavor. It was like thin, slimy box m&c. Parking convenient right in front.

I dined in alone so sat at the bar. The time was around 11am, and tables were pretty much all taken. Didn't take long for my order, I'm assuming because I was at the bar, but people near by I over heard had already been waiting for a while, again it was super busy. Everyone was patient, not sure if they were just down one waiter but I can see someone becoming impatient. Ordered the Snellgrove special and some French toast. Standard breakfast with eggs, grits, bacon and a biscuit. French toast was great, had some extra cinnamon on it. All good and pretty honest prices. Pleasant midday meal. Coffee was great and waiters are so friendly.

Great little place in downtown Plant city. In terms of value it can’t be beat. I had the country fried steak with mash potatoes and string beans. Everything came out fresh and tasted good. The service was good and everyone was nice and respectful. Will definitely be coming back.

So I came in early Monday morning for breakfast and what a mistake that was . I ordered 3 eggs over easy a slice of country ham & 2 slices of tomato and coffee with ice water. Came to a whopping 27.30 wow I didn't buy the whole pig ! I asked the waitress if this was right and she took it and asked the owner he said yes . You have got to be kidding me . So I spoke up and asked him if he thought that was fair he said yes . I told him to look at this face because you will never see it again. So if you had won the lottery stay away and we will not get into the cleanliness. Gave the waitress a tip because it's not her fault but gezzzzz

My husband's food child portion size n gravy a little spicy with his one biscuit n very skimpy on gravy portion for the one biscuit .. Only great thing i can say is waitress we had was excellent..

Old time Diner. The people were nice, the food came out quick and was good. My wife and I both left stuffed. I had the Western omelet and my wife had the loaded double hash browns. Both were a good size and tasted excellent. The waitstaff was attentive. I will go back for sure.

The best restaurant for coffee and sweet tea and breakfast and lunch foods. Really enjoyed the employees very much. They Always lend a helping hand and I am greatly appreciated by them.

I love Plant City, it’s my home. I’ve been to snellgroves many times and the food is always consistent, not great, but not horrible either. It’s pretty much what you would expect from a hometown diner. The biggest downside is price. I understand the cost of things are going up, however, $10.99 for a frozen hamburger patty and fries is too high. The entire menu with the exception of the kids is $10 and up. Since there are only three places to eat in town, I’m sure I’ll be back. I’ll make sure to have a little extra cash in the pocket.

I was in Plant City recently to attend my brother's basketball tournament. We searched for a place close by to eat in between his games. I am very happy that we found Snellgrove's Restaurant! The food was really good and relatively inexpensive (around $10 per person). All the staff here were really laid back and friendly. It is a much different atmosphere than what I am used to living in and around Tampa. The area surrounding the restaurant was nice and truly had a small town vibe to it. We did have a bit of difficulty finding a parking spot, but one could say the same for the vast majority of restaurants and stores in Plant City's downtown area. The next time that a basketball tournament brings us to Plant City, I will already know exactly where to go for either breakfast or lunch!

As I walked in, first thing on the counter I saw was F Brandon marketing and Trump 2024 marketing right in your face. I knew very quickly my kind was not welcome here and this not was a friendly and welcoming business down town for me or my co-workers. We decided to go to a more welcoming environment right up the road. I do not recommend. Plus it was filthy dirty.

Food is very good! Amber is awesome! Service is amazing and the cakes are to DIE for! Specially the Coconut cake!!! Omg! Yumsters! I will order a cake from there for every holiday! ❤️ I don’t have a pic of the coconut cake bc I got it to go!! But I love it!

They were about to close but instead invited us in and everyone who worked there including the owner, were so welcoming and friendly. We never felt rushed. The catfish was great as was the cornbread 😋

For a mom & pop diner. This was such a let down. The waitress sat our food down and our bill and never returned until we were ready to leave. $10.99 for country fried steak out of a frozen bag. The rutabagas had way to much sugar and tasted like sweet potatoes and over cooked to a dark brown color. The collards were strait out of a can no flavor but the extra sugar the cook added. I have to say the Mac n cheese was good and tasted homemade. For 2 people our bill was over $30. Not worth it at all.

Great home style food. Friendly people. The staff act like you're a very special customer, and they treat everyone that way
