Such a lovely curated gastronomic experience! The plant based menu is rich in flavor and diverse in content - the mushroom ravioli is a must try! The service was above and beyond; I wish I could rate it higher than 5 stars! Expect to have a complimentary guided wine tasting accompany your meal; a fun experience even if you aren't a regular wine aficionado. The small venue adds to the cozy intimate experience - so make reservations in advance to ensure a spot. We will definitely visit again!

This was truly the best dining experience of my life. Charming space, incredible food, and decadent wines. Everyone who helped us was so wonderful, most especially Ori. Words really cannot describe how magical this place is. Until I return, I’ll be visiting in my dreams.

I thought I knew all the vegan/veg places in sonoma county but I was missing the best one yet! This place doesn’t just have delicious food, but it is a dining EXPERIENCE. We were well taken care of as soon as we stepped out of our car. Our server, Ori, and the owners (I didn’t get their names) made it such a special and customized experience for us. The food, atmosphere, hospitality, and menu options blew us away. Will be back soon!

This place is so awesome! Great vegetarian food, great local wines from small producers, and an amazing service experience that’s super personal. They walk you through a variety of wines to match your tastes so it’s kind of like a wine tasting experience while having a meal. And if you’re part of the wine club, it’s an even more in-depth process to figure out what you like. Meekk and Ori are awesome!!

I dare you to only go once! The food is amazing- wholesome meets other worldly. The staff are so warm and LOVE to share their passion. The chef comes to every table. The dining room transforms to a bustling family room. But what I love best is that you order your meal ahead. This means they only prep what they serve. As a planet crusader this zero waste commitment is so important to me. Not to mention, it's so nice to arrive to the restaurant and not have to hunt through a menu and make decisions. When I am going to the Bodega Wine Kitchen I know I can expect the relaxing fun experience to start before I even arrive:) They are kid friendly and can accommodate almost any food restrictions. I love that I can order an entire vegan meal and not have to make any concessions. Love this place.

This was one of the best meals I've had anywhere ever! The sauces on everything were seriously so amazing I don't even know how to describe. Ori's wine journey was the most fun and delicious and has made me rethink my opinions on wine. I will be back and bring company!

Astounding experience! In every aspect, La Bodega knocked it out of the park. Not only were we treated like family, the food was so carefully prepared that we left feeling like La Bodega deserved way more than 5 stars. If vegan/vegetarian makes you nervous, let us assure you that you will leave with a full and happy belly (and think how happy your cardiologist will be with your plant based selections!). Wine drinkers, you also will be treated as if you are sharing a bottle with an old friend. The entire staff is knowledgeable about the menu and the wine pairings. The ambiance, the care, the food itself- all incredible. We will be back!

This place is worth a detour off the 101 for incredible food and probably the best dessert I’ve ever had (the cherry clafoutis). The ambience and the staff are wonderful as well. Also Henrietta the chicken. Don’t wait!

This place is a hidden gem!!! They were closed on the 4th but decided to open for us. The host was super nice, and she was very welcoming. It was a magical experience. The food was one of the best I've had . The mezza and artichoke arracini was an exquisite mix of a culinary dream. You will not be disappointed. For those chefs out there, please take note, this chef is Michelin quality when it comes to taste!.

My wife and I are long-time vegans. We just ate at La Bodega Kitchen as part of a birthday celebration for my mother, accompanied by two cousins and partner. Driving away after a dining experience that my wife and I can only describe as sublime, she and I concluded that we had just eaten the best vegan meal we had ever had in the USA. Hands down. Each course of the food was perfect, from the roasted potato appetizer to the beet salad to the minestrone soup and finishing with the highest quality vegan desserts. All paired with an excellent wine recommended to the table. Three of the six of us were vegetarians and said that the vegetarian dishes were equally outstanding. The service was warm, helpful and embracing. This was one of those rare restaurant experiences that will be remembered for a long, long time.

This is by far my favorite restaurant in Sonoma County- exceptional and inspired food, cozy ambiance, stellar wine selection, and attentive staff. La Bodega Kitchen is strictly vegetarian, and while I do eat meat, I still think their food tastes better than anywhere else. They also have many dairy-free and gluten-free options. Each time is a magical experience and I try to bring all of my out-of-town visitors here. The wine club is great too!

I was so unhappy to hear they went vegetarian when all I eat is meat. I was forced by friends and my wife to go. I chose the pasta and it was very good. I have to admit it didn't kill me and it was very good. The wines they choose are all small vineyard wines and all are very good. I just wish they had a meat option like most dinner clubs have a vegetarian option. I love Meek the owner and they run a very wonderful dinner club!

My goodness. Where to start?!! This place was such a gem. First of all, the options for delicious vegetarian food were amazing. The baked rigatoni was to die for. The sauce was a perfect blend of tomato and cream and the cheese was so delicious. The people who work there are probably the nicest, most genuine people to ever work at a restaurant. It felt like family and it felt like home. I would highly recommend this absolutely delicious restaurant to anyone...vegetarian or not. The wines were so yummy and they really want to make sure you taste and get to choose the one you really love. THANK YOU, La Bodega!! We will 100% be back.

We can’t begin to thank meekk and her team enough for making our wedding day an absolute dream come true. Our guests could not stop raving about the food and wine, and how warm and friendly the La Bodega Kitchen staff were. They truly went above and beyond for us in every way imaginable. Out of all the decisions that went into planning our wedding, serving meek's food on our wedding night was hands-down one of the best choices we made!

We know nothing about wine but we had so much fun! Everything was delicious; we had the vegan menu and the seasoning was incredible! The service was excellent and the atmosphere is very relaxed and cozy, there are not many tables so it feels intimate. Loved it.

We've been going to the Sonoma Wine Shop/La Bodega Kitchen since they opened more than 10 years ago. In fact, we're probably one of the longest members there. When they decided to go entirely vegetarian I was happy but a bit skeptical. So tonight I had the Lasagna Bolognese and it was BETTER than the meat version! No kidding! You can't tell it's not meat! And frankly, I feel better after eating (not so bloated and full). It was the most delicious lasagna I've ever had. Along with their amazing Harvest View Petite Verdot I couldn't be happier. It's better for me and my planet. Thank you Meek, Rick and Bryan for feeding us so well and taking care of Mother Earth too!

Ok. Imma bout to gush 💖 and it's a long one. Today is the 5th anniversary of my marriage to Ron Guptill. We have been so incredibly blessed in a few different restaurants to be "adopted" and truly treated like deeply loved family. I've posted about TIPS Roadside recently and this evening I'm posting about Sonoma Wine Shop and La Bodega Kitchen in Sebastopol. Early in our relationship I discovered "Restaurant Week". I am not from Santa Rosa so I didn't know that was a thing. I'm gluten free due to Celiacs, so finding a place where I can equally enjoy the menu can be challenging. Anyway, I was looking at menus online and stopped on one that had the yummiest sounding menu, had lots of specifically gluten free options and had one of my mother's absolute favorite desserts, alfahores (She grew up in Argentina). It was a total win. We went and were surprised by the fun family style way of service. Our hostess Meekk immediately felt like family. The food was delicious and we enjoyed our time thoroughly. Fast forward. We've gone to La Bodega Kitchen many times, often spending special holidays there like Mother's Day, birthdays and the like..and every time, we are treated like long lost family. Her partner Brian hung out at our table for well into an hour one Mother's Day taking about wine, food and like. We love the house chicken who sometimes comes to visit us outside. One evening we were sitting in their new outdoor area, when restaurants were just beginning to reopen. Despite all of our visits, hugs and the family vibe every time, we had not become members of the wine club. We decided that evening to do so. She was surprised and said she thought we had been members for years. She took her time testing our palates, giving suggestions and coming up with our likes and loves. We became members and get wine every few months now. So what are the pictures about? My husband got sick yesterday. We had planned our Anniversary dinner for this evening and called late afternoon to let them know that unfortunately we were not able to come in person and we needed to do to takeout. We wanted to be responsible and stay home. He was devastated that we couldn't dine in for our celebration. Meekk herself came out to the car, and joked about us taking pictures of our Anniversary picnic. She had told my husband she'd have something special for us and she was NOT JOKING. It was dark so I had no idea what she was talking about until we opened the trunk when we got home and saw that there was a huge basket filled with amazingness inside. The food was carefully wrapped and piping hot. Fresh flowers, a white tablecloth, a candle, a little dessert tray and our incredible food. And instead of being in to-go containers, almost everything was on its own real plate or in a bowl including the hot dishes which were in porcelain boats. My husband immediately teared up seeing how much love, care and effort was put into making our stay at home Anniversary dinner so incredibly special. Oh and we broke out one of our bottles of wine from our membership too Our dinner was spectacular. Yummy to the max and so incredibly special. SO GOOD!!!!! And so friendly... the food is absolutely Superlative... if I had a complaint, it is a little pricy, but the place is personable, like being in someone's home. I love it...

Owners meekk and Brian are warm and very engaging. My ❤️'s Weekend 'Coq Au Vin' was superb as were the Chestnut soup, salad ,wineand all the chocolate deserts. I would love to offer help in creating more variety beyond the tamales for the vegetarian and vegan diet.

Food is always fabulous! Elise and Meek take such good care of us! It's like dining out with family.

This place is a hoot - great food and a wonderful staff that will tell you such fascinating stories about the wines they sell. It's hard to visit without leaving with several bottles of wine, but they do a great job of connecting you with the growers, vinters, and process making the bottles feel more like souvenirs of the evening than just something you drink. Always a pleasure to visit when in Sebastopol!

Reasonable, pleasent atmosphere

From the second you walk in you feel welcome. Everyone there treats you like family. You feel like you walked into a friend's home for a meal. You go and get your silverware, dishes, etc and set your own table. Then circle your selections from a paper menu. ALL of the food that comes out of the kitchen is spectacular! I love that they have so many gluten-free options. Every time that I've been there for brunch I can't eat anything for the rest of the day - I'm so full. Huge portions of exceptional food - with the best service I've ever encountered - who could ask for anything more!!!!

Love this little shop, love the people

I've been there several times and each visit has been the same: the staff was incredible, the meal was superb, and the wine was to die for. Greeted at the door, you are given instructions to pick up your plate and silverware. Eyebrows go up the first time. But it is one example of how they try to keep things comfortable and unpretentious. At the table, our host questioned each of us of our wine tastes. After we ordered she gave special recommendations for pairing given our likes and meal choices. Dinner was wonderful and she was spot on with those recommendations. Yes, they have a wine club. But like the rest of the night, there is no pressure. The wine club, by the way, is quite unique. There is no real schedule and YOU let them know when to ship. And like with dinner, you can discuss pairings to match your needs. Bottom line is this place deserves a try. You will return.

This is one the best dining experiences you will have in Northern California. Chef Rick is French-trained but no French pretentiousness. The artichoke appetizer, ravioli and bacon fromage breakfast were all incredible. The vibe and setting are all unique and not to be missed.

Our meals were beyond amazing and the service was even better! The chef is a genius and took time out to speak with us about his preparation - he is so passionate about his craft. The hospitality from the hostess and others was above par - we even got hugs when we left! If you are craving a meal prepared with love and will make your taste buds do a happy dance with an encore - Sonoma Wine Shop is the place to go.

Amazing experience! We got great food, you can see below the house waffles, the Mediterranean plate, eggs Benedict, but the best of all was the wine flight: the awesome waiter took us through 8 wines produced in the area and she even brought us some complimentary cheese (exquisite) to go with the Chardonnay. I loved the food, loved the wines, loved the service. It's a definite recommendation and I'm also considering subscribing to the wine club

This place was unlike any other place I've been to you. you walk in and you get your own silverware plate cup water everything first and then are seated by the hostess / host. It was a little weird. That being said everyone that work there was cheery delightful and all smiles. the restaurant looks like it is part of a home. That or they took a home and turned it into a restaurant. They even have a cute little sign that says make yourself at home. It does turn out though that this is not a restaurant first. This is a wine club. I don't know what that means, it was explained, but I still have no idea what that really means. As for the food, I got the lasagna. while I was told it would be the best lasagna I've ever had it was decent and had consistency and was rather delicious. My one recommendation would be to add some more seasoning and heat such as a nice smoked Chipotle or paprika.

Great place for wine and food. They have big Manu of wine from all over California. A bit pricey but the food is very good and there is nice atmosphere. The owners is amazing person and if you're going there you will probably meet her, she's giving you the feeling like you're eating at home and the service is great.

Wow, what a great brunch in a home like setting! The first rule is to know "this is not a restaurant", but the food and the service for this hidden little gem is amazing. We were made to feel at home and treated like royalty! We loved how when the caretaker calls the chickens "birds! birds!" They come running for a chance at some food! Such a charming little place, now we can't wait to wine taste here!! 😊👍

Fabulous hospitality, great food, excellent and unusual wines. But the whole experience is "out of this world", it is something that you read in the book or see movie about. I wish I could give them 10 stars. And you don't have to rob a bank. Classy, heartwarming, delicious!

This is hands down one of the best dining experiences I've had in my life. Saying that, it wouldn't be for everyone ( those that like a very formal fine dining experience). You pick up your own cutlery at the beginning and the quirkiness just starts there! Everyone is running around trying to help everyone, in a very cute way. You have an option of an at table wine tasting and we picked our favourite based on the blind taste test. On top of that, the food is delicious. We had the meditarrean plate to start and lasagne and lamb fettucine for mains and everything was amazing and the portions generous. The owners were very open and a delight to talk to. We stayed until 11.45 just chatting away about all topics ( the restaurant closed at 9pm). Seriously go there, eat there and you won't regret it!!

This place is quite a gem. It's a bit eccentric (and bohemian) but the food was good and the staff are extremely accomodating. I would not consider it fine dinning or even a restaurant (in fact they tell you numerous times they are not a restaurant they are wine club) but it was a memorable night.

Went to lunch here today The chef came out and started to discribe the food we were interested in and made our mouths start watering. It was delish. Loved the atmosphere. Everything is al crate so it’s a little pricey but we will be back . I ordered a appetizer ravioli new one on the menu and because it was so yummy had to order another. My husband had the lasagna.

I would give 6 stars if I could. Never been to a restaurant that was more child-friendly. They treated us like family and even had toys and bibs and other things to keep the kids entertained. The wines were delicious and fairly affordable.
