My son and I arrived late Saturday night to the best restaurant this side of the Mississippi River. We both had the 16 oz ribeye (med rare), and grilled to perfection. Okra, baked beans, green beans were all spectacular. Friendliest people you will meet and doing so much for their community! You will be happy you went!

Always great food!! They now have online ordering which is absolutely phenomenal. I ordered and drove directly to get the order which was large and it was ready when I got there.

This was our first time eating at the restaurant. We have eaten meals they have catered before. Everything was delicious! Service was fast and everyone was very friendly! Will definitely be making a return visit!

A rare off- the- beaten- path bbq establishment down there at the crossroads of 129 & 94. Watch for deer as you come from the city and enjoy some of the best BBQ in the region and definitely be in for a treat of a pitmaster's take of Southern-BBQ. Go for the ribs, treat yourself with a 'pulled, and savor a homemade gourmet- style-dessert on your way out the door. If you're in town for a spill, try the catfish & burgers (seperate dishes).... ALL WASHED DOWN WITH AQUIFER-WATER, COLD & CRISP (really, try the water). No pork shoulder plates (sliced like a pork chop) when I visited; therfore, down one- star to 3.8

Southern Reds is a backwoods country store made n to a restaurant. It's as country as it gets but when ya leave you tell urself that was some god eatin rite there!!! Awesome place to go eat.

When you're looking for food at a reasonable price with a local hometown feel this is the place. The people and atmosphere are amazing plus you're supporting a local business. Make that trip to Pilot Oak and get fed. The staff is absolutely amazing

We totally enjoyed the complete take out Thanksgiving Dinner we bought this year. The Smoked turkey was the best we ever tasted. All the food was delicious and hot. We placed everything in heated coolers and it stayed warm enough to serve 2 hours later. A new family tradition is born! Thank you SRBBQ for taking the stress out of our holiday.

Great ribs! Not baby backs, but well prepared. Sides were good. Wife had brisket. She said good flavor. Next time, I'll sample the steak. Lots were served.

Me and my family LOVE this place. Everybody is so sweet and the food is always 110% perfect. Never EVER had a problem with service! And the owner is such a sweet guy!! Definitely recommended!

Well worth the 35 minute drive. We called our order in and went and got it and when we finally decided to eat supper everything was DELICIOUS!! Will be back for another steak for sure and ribs. Next time we going to get their BarBQue too. Thanks Reds and everyone that works there.

Great food, super friendly service, small country gold mine of a restaurant! The owner is huge on community service! Love eating here! Building was small and packed and I felt like I was eating at a family reunion even though I only knew my party of 8!

Always excellent. We've been several times and the food is always worth the drive. Order at the counter, and then food is brought to you. You usually don't have to wait long for your food once you order, but you will probably have to wait in line to order. I'd recommend getting there either right as they open or closer to closing time. Desserts are out of this world- I usually have trouble choosing (and sometimes get more than one, ha). Always a great experience all around!

This little bar-b-que place isn't on the beaten path but it's definitely worth finding. I'm not usually a bar-b-que person but this place has a really good flavor. You have a choice of hot or mild sauce which I like. You can put on as much as you want but it's good even without sauce. It's always busy but the service is really good, people so courteous, and really quick getting food to customers. Price is on point and good portions. Definitely worth finding!!!!!

I liked it, but we ate outside because seating is rather limited and it was a little chaotic inside. Staff was very friendly. Food was good.

Southern Red’s catered our daughter’s wedding and knocked it out of the park. Everything was delicious and on time. The guests were very happy and I was thrilled. Thank y’all so much.

This little gem is hidden in the middle of agriculture USA. It was our first trip to the restaurant. My husband and I enjoyed our drive to the restaurant on the country roads but we couldn't get there fast enough. We were craving BBQ, and we had been told this place had the best in the Purchase Area. Loved the location; loved the building; loved the decor; and LOVED the aroma. Ended up ordering a 3 piece catfish (BIG fillets) dinner and 16oz Ribeye (it looked to be 1 pound after it was cooked) dinner - Didn't I say we went for BBQ? Got us 1 pound of pulled brisket to nibble on. No room left for dessert. Service was outstanding! The drive home, a different route, was just as beautiful, and the leftover pulled brisket tasted just as good at 02:00 this morning. ❤

What a neat place. The food was good and served fast. The pie is AMAZING. And the owner is doing a lot of great work in the community. I would come back again and again. Slather whatever you get in that barbecue sauce. Like a lot of it.

We've made a tradition of going here for dinner whenever we are visiting family in the area. They have the best ribeye around, And we live in Michigan and have had plenty Ribeye steaks. This time I tried the mashed potatoes and let me say they're better than my homemade ones!!! I don't think there's any subpar food at Red's. It's awesome and totally worth it!!! Also, I would like to add that they built a huge grill to feed the families displaced from the tornado that hit Mayfield back in December.

So good when we got there the line was really long but it was well worth the wait the food was excellent and our waitress was great.

Best place to eat or pick up to take home !!! Always real friendly and makes you feel like they care and I personally know they fed over tons of barbecue out of their own pockets to the people that were affected by the tornadoes Mayfield.

We are a crew of 13 Firefighters from Georgetown Kentucky that were deployed for search and rescue to Mayfield KY and Southern Red's took amazing care of us. They provided not only hot meals but amazing hot meals for our entire deployment. We can't thank them enough for their generosity a d hospitality.

BBQ is some of the best I have ever eaten. The staff makes you feel like family.

The food was outstanding and the service was very friendly. I had the 2 PC catfish platter, the fish was very moist the corn nuggets were great and the white beans were good. My grandson had the shrimp that was also great and my husband had the bbq sandwich which was also great.

We always love eating here!! Tonight we both had the Ribeyes with baked potatoes and coleslaw... It was soooooo good!!!!

I'm ashamed that we have lived here in KY for 4 years and it took us this long for us to finally get to visit Southern Reds, but we made this place our place to celebrate our 17th anniversary. Wow! The BBQ is Awesome 👍. The Cole Slaw was perfect. The Baked Tater was good. My wife had the Corn Nuggets were perfect. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I will be back and I live in Kentucky Lake.

Stopped here for lunch last week, oh so glad we did! We got the combo platter (chicken, ribs & pork) plus a pork sandwich. Delicious & plentiful! The pork sandwich came home as well as some of the pork from the platter. Well be back next time we're headed north out of Tennessee!

This place has AMAZING ribs, bbq, chicken, e.t.c. The food is great. The people are great. It's an awesome place to eat. I recommend it to anyone who loves good food.

Been to Southern Reds many times never been disappointed I can recommend it.

The brisket is the best around here. The owner is a goofy dude, but he sure can make some good BBQ.

First time eating there. Got Large bbq sandwich plate w/ ff and corn nuggets. Sandwich was huge. Really good bbq, sauce and slaw and sides were delicious also. Definitely will be back again. They have a huge menu...something for everyone's tastebuds.

This place is always fun. Food is fantastic and we have fun with employees. Always crowded so be aware, but it's worth the wait!

Some of the BEST BBQ I’ve ever have had. It was worth the hour drive to get to it. Big portions which means leftovers.
