If u ask for breakfast 3 minutes after 11 am you will not get it. Breakfast served until 11 am not one minute after. Not very friendly regarding customer’s request for breakfast.

I flew into Truckee and discovered that they had a restaurant on the field, which is always nice. I stayed over for a couple of extra days and ate here twice. Wonderful people working there, especially the person working the register. It looks like the menu changes a bit on a day-to-day basis. I enjoyed everything I had there. The chicken tikka masala bowl had lots of curry and was very good. I got the naan and hummus, and the hummus was very good, but the bread was more like a pita. The gyro on my second visit was very good! Red Truck is a really nice airport restaurant and I look forward to eating there again!

My husband and I hiked Martis Valley today and then stopped at Red Truck for lunch. Reasonably priced and delish! I had the quiche (to die for!) and my husband had the naan hotdog. He is still talking about it. A secret gem!!!

This place is kinda hard to find but so worth it. Amazing menu. Very original. The tacos are to die for. Try the lamb curry it's BOMB. DEF MUST CHECK THIS PLACE OUT while in Truckee.

They did a good job accommodating my keto diet and it was a real gas to watch a couple of jets start up and take off.

Lives up to the hype! Finally checked out this place and was not disappointed. Arrived just before 12:30 to about ten people already in line and they had already run out of their chicken sandwich special but I wanted the falafel bowl anyway which was fresh and delicious. I added the avocado salsa which I wish was thicker but the taste was great. The outside patio area is great for kids and dogs if you don't mind the occasional sound from the jets which you could still talk over if you spoke loud enough, so it gets a ding for atmosphere because seating inside was hard to get as well, but if you're getting food to go then it's a good option. Plenty of airport parking!

I had the lunch bowl with vegetables and chicken tikka masala. It was absolutely so delicious and spicy. Everything was fresh. The service was great. I highly recommend.!

Awesome little walk up cafe in the terminal building at Truckee Airport. The Gyro was bomb, the well shaded outside patio was super cool and pet friendly, and you get to watch planes coming and going. We were there on a sunny summer afternoon, and it was just fantastic. Great food, friendly people, and a fun spot.

Have always had good experiences here, until yesterday. My whole family ate the Gyros and within 6 hours all of us had food poisoning. Called to let them know and they just said “oh sorry about that”

Oh wow. I've been told by many folks to visit Red Truck and never got around to it. It's excellent! After 1 meal, it's going to be moving into my rotation of favorites here in Truckee! The gyro was fantastic, especially with the extra habanero sauce from the serving area. I'm going back tomorrow to try something new!!!

Not what you'd expect from a restaurant named the Red truck. It's not a truck! Tiny Truckee airport has bragging rights to a wonderful cafe serving inspired, mouth watering, in-house crafted food. Great middle eastern burritos. Yup, that's right. Sandwiches, gyros, quiche, and unique soups (pear parsnip) that delight the taste buds. Best part, no TSA or ticket necessary to have lunch. I ordered the falafel naan sandwich, my daughter had the aforementioned soup, and hubby had the lamb gyro. Delicious! Can't wait to go back.

Delicious food that comes flying out of the kitchen. It's quick, fresh, delicious, and healthy—count me in! The outdoor seating is next to the runway, which sounds odd but is actually quite beautiful. The tables are comfortable with good shade, and the Truckee airport is hardly busy, so it's not really loud at all. I had an excellent business lunch there with a partner, and the three of us enjoyed our meals very much for not a lot of money. I'll definitely keep it in mind for an easy option when I'm in the area!

We all throughly enjoyed our lunch food selections, and will go back again Thought the kids menu prices of $7 for a PBJ and a hot dog were a bit excessive. So will go back when we don't have the littles.

Red Truck is by far the best food in Truckee, CA. I went there over 4 times in a week vacation to Truckee. I am a vegetarian and everything there appealed to me, as well as my boyfriend (who eats a lot of meat), loved the food. The samosas were the best I have ever had.... perfectly cooked. The entire staff was so delightful, especially the Chef and owner (Larry Abney) who is a world renowned chef and he blew my mind with how amazing the food was. I am definitely coming back next year, and the for the rest of my life. 11/10 restaurant.... go and see for yourself!!!!!!

This place is a gem. They have a great menu. All their food is flavorful and super consistent. Highly recommend the falafel or the Naan dog with a house-made brisket hotdog. Whether you're a local or just stopping through you gotta try this place!

Yummy creative food, kinda salty though

Very good unique food. They give an Indian twist to normal breakfast and lunch food, while all are good some have an acquired taste. Can’t argue about the views of the apron though! And their is a nice groomed are of grass for sitting down or dogs.

I ordered the Chicken Tikka naan sandwich and it was yummy! I also thought the cookie was a nice satisfying treat to my sweet tooth addiction. The great part about this is that you get to see private jets take off and land while you're eating. It was a bit noisy and windy that day, but overall a great experience. Def worth checking out this hidden gem while you're near Lake Tahoe.

The Red Truck is a little restaurant in the Truckee airport terminal. The food is great, the menu reasonably large, the people are fantastic and knowledgeable and helpful with Gluten issues. Great for pilots and passengers to grab a quick bite to go, eat in, or eat out on the patio. A little hidden gem.

Holy cow we love this place,when it's open. Love picking up some samosas for the drive home, the banh mi sandwich is also really good and pretty spot on, tons of good food options here.

Just the right amount of spicy, I especially like the coconut curry lamb bowl.

Stopped by here to get some lunch after skiing. I was really surprised by this place, as I wasn't expecting such unique and delicious food from a small airport cafe. I had the Naan Hot Dog and my Lady had the samosas and a salad. The food was flavorful and prepared quickly. They have a nice outside patio next to the landing strip, with a playground and great views of the mountains. A great place to grab lunch on the way out of town when you're done skiing.

Kids get to play on the playground and watch airplanes take off while the adults eat tasty middle eastern fusion gyro-fare. Plenty of outdoor dining. No booze for sale. Hot tip: upstairs the airport has free balsa wood glider planes for the kiddos. You know, like the ones you used to find in Christmas stockings.

We had Red Truck cater our wedding with their food truck on August 24 2019. Our guests loved the food and the food truck concept at our wedding. We worked with Chef Larry to customize the menu for our guests and we also ordered samosas for late night food and some Quiches for breakfast that we could serve to our guests the next day. Everything was perfect with the food and service and we would highly recommend Red Truck to cater your private event in the Truckee/North Tahoe area.

This is a downright hip place to hang out and get a bite to eat. Great people watching, plane watching, and some nice seasonal outside seating where kids can run around. But the star of the show is the food and the pleasant folks who work there. Tasty bites. Something for all sizes. Deep flavors. And healthy to boot.

One of the BEST breakfast and lunch spots you'll ever find! Red Truck gets 5 stars from me because, even though it is a cafe, it can truly compete with any 5 Star breakfast and lunch place out there. The best egg sandwich you'll ever have! Bowls, Salads, Burritos, Sandwiches, Daily Specials ... some of your favorites with a bit (just a touch of an Indian & Mediterranean) twist. And you can just taste the freshness of the ingredients. There is a charm factor too, getting to taste these beyond delicious recipes while watching planes take off and land at the Truckee Airport.
