Very affordable flight. Cider is very interesting and unlike most other ciders we've tried, but very good! Spencer is very knowledgeable about all things apples and cider, and we had a great time chatting with him. Definitely a geat way to spend an hour or two when in Warren.

$10 tasting flight was fun. It's a cozy space decorated with orchard equipments. You get four different ciders in a wine glass. Ciders were crisp and flavorful. It was not my taste because I like sweeter ones; however, I appreciate the authenticity of the cider and the place.

Took an unexpected stop here on my way home. I love to support anything local when I visit a new place (brewers, agribusinesses, etc) and this spot didn’t disappoint. The owner is beyond hospitable and so knowledgeable about his craft- you can tell his heart and soul goes into this entire operation. He gave me a crash course on the cider making process from the growing of the apples to pairing different ciders with different foods. The space itself was immaculate- a cozy hideaway in a great location adorned with vintage machinery and the coolest old-time bar I have ever been to. I will stop by any time I’m in the area. He even had recommendations for local food in the area while I was headed out the door. One of the best experiences I’ve had trying new drinks. My one suggestion from the customer’s POV would be to lower the lights/implement softer lighting in the front of the house to create a cozier atmosphere at the bar. Fantastic drinks and wonderful conversation.

If you’re looking for no nonsense cider, Sowams is the place for you. Small batch hard cider that is made from apples grown by the cidermaker. Pure and simple. Thank you Spencer for sharing your story (&cider) with us. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and the time you took with us. This evening we had your Gold Rush with our meal of steamed clams and oysters, and sautéed sole. Fantastic with the cider!

Never liked cider until my friend Pat offered me a glass of Sowams Cider. Delicious. Not too sweet or tart or bubbly. Paired it with goat cheese, manchego cheese, water crackers and apple slices. Give it a try!

What an amazing place! A warm welcome, insightful history, and a fantastic product! It is clear by both talking to him and tasting his cider that the owner invests so much into his craft! We happened to stop in because our air bnb is right across the street and we are so happy we did. A man who cares more about his clients and the art of brewing, he also recommended a few other restaurants in the area, and offered us free cheese from a local dairy farm. Clearly cares about his community as he helped a local who was in need half way through our flight without skipping a beat.. this experience was just that, an experience, and an amazing one at that! Highly recommend, will make this a stop every time we’re in the area!

What a great spot right up the street! Little different than the usual neighborhood bar, love the setting and the people were great! $10 to taste 4 ciders, then we each had a glass or 2 and brought a couple of bottles of our favorites home. First time there and it was very welcoming and comfortable. Definitely suggest stopping in...

Wonderful guy who makes the cider himself. Super passionate and happy to talk about his craft. Tiny venue but so worth the stop. Definitely will be going back. Cider is more on the wine-tasting side than the usual sugary cider too just FYI

Wonderful small production Cider and the owner made our tasting a very special experience. He was sharing a lot of knowledge on different apples and cider varietals. His passion and the amazing quality of his Cider made the trip worth it - we drove from Boston to try Sowams Cider Works and it was an amazing experience!

Stopped by Sowams as a prelude to a wine tasting jaunt in RI and MA. The cider was better than the wine we tasted. Loved the vibe. Sat at an outdoor table with heaters at either end. Munched on snacks purchased at the market across the street and complimentary Cabot cheddar from Sowams. Got an education on cider making from the owner. Highlight of our day!

Unique experience with amazing service! We learned so much about apples and the cider making process. This is traditional cider, aka apple wine, not the fizzy stuff you'll find in a can. We brought takeout from Hunky Dory and sat here with a tasting flight, and it was a great complement to the food! All around great experience.

We just happened to see a sign for this place while biking and decided to stop. So glad we did. The ciders were very good and unique. I did a flight of 4 to try and liked each one, there very refreshing and not too sweet which I really like. Spencer is so knowledgeable and I learned so much about apples and cider during our time here. I’ll definitely be back when in the area again!

Great ciders that are treated less like beer and more like wine. Subtle flavors, nothing excessively sugary. Perfect for a hot summer day! The staff member who gave us our tasting was very nice and happy to answer any of our questions.

The Cider Works could be listed as an experience and and event location! Not only are you walking into a vineyard, but get a private education in the squeezing of over 2000 Apple Types from around the world. Due to COVID restrictions, Sowarms' has not reached its potential.
