Spice and spirits is my favorite Indian cuisine in Pensacola! Me and my boyfriend come here often and enjoy everything we try. The staff is so accommodating and friendly and I couldn’t say better things about spice and spirits. Thank you guys!

We had a great experience here for lunch! Chicken tikka masala, naan and butter chicken. Perfect amount of spice, so tasty. Also feel like we got special treatment. They really went above and beyond to make our lunch great and fun.

This is one of the best Indian restaurants in pensacola. The food is scrumptious. The naan and butter chicken we ordered was really tasty. Would recommend this place if you love authentic Indian food

Good tasting food. However they charge $4 for one piece of naan bread sliced into two. They also don’t do the lunch buffet anymore as of last month. Also, they seem understaffed because there is only one person making the food. He also greets and takes orders.

The food is great when you can get it. Tried to dine and take out. Hours are so irregular we can’t dependably plan on getting dinner here. twice we’ve had company and tried to get take out but they weren’t open either time when their webpage, door dash and their front door said they’d be open. The fact that their website is inviting the public to a New Years party 3 years ago should tell us something. Not wasting anymore time with them.

Well, not recommended! You can go there for their Roti which is soft and good (although small) but nothing else. The owner is quite friendly and nice…but the food isnt. The owner cooked everything himself (probably they are short of staff) but the food dint come out well. We ordered samosa, dal and paneer makhni. Samosa was very oily and tasted as if the potato has gone bad or it was cooked 2 days ago, Paneer was too sweet. The simplest thing as dal was oily and had uncooked spices which was just a turn off. (Since they were short of staff) The order took too much time to come and then it wasnt good as well. They did give us complimentary mango lassi because the dal was too spicy.

Drove just for this place just to find out their closed. Their google maps says it's open, tried calling them in case they took reservations but no one answered. And when we reached it was closed with tarp around all their entrances and just a sign in the window saying March 5th, is that the closed till date or what, no way of knowing. Disappointed

I wouldn’t recommend this place if you are an Indian. The host was very nice and was pretty much making everything fresh as we ordered but at least for us the food was not as good as decent Indian food could be. The place has the potential to do better.

Friendly service. This is a diner setting so don’t go when you’re in a rush. Food comes out in courses. He asked how spicy I wanted my food and I told him just enough to burn a little. That’s fairly subjective but he got it on point. I ordered garlic naan and buttered chicken and we shared samosas at the table. The samosas had a nice dipping sauce. Servings are large. I took some home and had it for lunch the next day There was a dish at the table that wasn’t very good. I’ve had tandoori at a lot of other places and theirs just wasn’t that great. I would definitely come back

This was our second time eating at Spice & Spirits. Our first time was pre-Covid when they had a lunch buffet. The owner told us the buffet should restart in a month or so. From the outside, the restaurant is unassuming, but it's very tastefully decorated inside and is very clean, including the bathrooms. I ordered spicy vegetable Vindaloo. My dish was a sizable portion, loaded with vegetables, and I took half home for a second meal later. My husband ordered mild chicken Tika Masala which I also tasted. Even though I prefer spicy food, his meal was also delicious, not bland at all. The meals came with a large amount of white rice, but we also ordered garlic Naan, and it was yummy. Don't skip on the Naan! Our total bill was $40 before a tip. We didn't order drinks, but they do serve beer and have a full bar. We received wonderful service, and although it wasn't a cheap lunch, it was worth it, and we will go back. You should too!

This place is very unassuming from the outside, if you weren't looking for it, you might miss it. The inside is nice. It looks (and more importantly) smells very clean. We ordered 2 dishes and were a little taken aback by the price, well that's on us. They give you a LOT of food. The spice was nicely balanced. They cook from multiple regions, so if you're really into Indian, this is a good pick. I hung out at the bar with a Kingfisher while my to go was getting ready and had a good time talking with the bartender. Real nice dude. Well worth the money!

I have traveled to the subcontinent of India on a number of occasions and have had my share of authentic Indian cuisine. Spice and Spirits served us two outstanding meals today-we will return for more-delicious and authentic lunch.

The restaurant is next to the Quality Inn. While the building is quite old, the restaurant was very clean. We enjoyed our server's (Joseph) friendliness. My husband had Lamb Rogan Josh and I had paneer moilee. They have the best papadam of any Indian restaurant in town. The sweet lassi was very thick and satisfying. The food tasted delicious and we will be back. The atmosphere suffered from the aging building, They were out of a few things, as well. However, currently most restaurants feel supply chain issues. The main drawback was the gnats but I think it was due to poor air circulation. I also wish the menu had better descriptions of the food. We left fully satisfied and had leftovers to boot.

I will never go to this place. The guy was very rude then he tried to charge my debt card $129 when the bill was overpriced by $20 the bill came out to be $64.50. Did not leave a tip for owner. The girl that waited on us did not speak English. We speak Spanish also so we had no problem talking to the young lady. She asked us what a tip was. He takes her tips also. Then my card was charged $129.00 when it was a bill for $64.50. (No I asked the bank it was not double charge) This guy ripping people off check your accit you have eating here.

Bad taste and shady environment Managed by one person, the food was Bland, tasteless, just too much of food colours.. avoid if possible and spend money someother place.. Charges are high but the food is NOT as an Indian expects.

Wish I could give ratings in minus. Pathetic food and ambiance is so fishy. We went with friends and order both veg and non-veg food items. It was beyond disgusting, we couldn’t even finish a single spoon. We were feeling so bad that we are wasting food, but didn’t want to fall sick.

I've had a lot of Indian food from a lot of different restaurants but never anything quite like I got here. First of all I'd like to say pay no attention to the prices on the menu. They change when you get the bill. The food itself was missing the wonderful aroma of cumin. I found some black burned bits in my food but that's all. Samosas, straight from Sam's or Costco. They even threw in a small ketchup-like packet of sauce with them. I asked for chutney but got a tasteless pouch of yuck. It was obviously previously frozen as well, like the samosas. One of the dishes tasted more Italian than Indian with so much tomato and no Indian spice. It was hard to stomach any of the food and ended up throwing it all away. Oh, and if you are paying cash you'll see the guy put it directly into his pocket instead of the open till. Again warning! Check your receipt before paying.

The place doesn't look like much from the outside, but it's spacious inside and the food was DELICIOUS. I got the spicy lamb tikaka masala and it was perfect. Husband got the mild goat curry and he didn't have any leftovers! We were the only ones in the restaurant which is surprising given how much our party enjoyed our food. We will most certainly return for more in the future.

We love this place! Super chill inside. Very friendly staff and always tasty food! We love the butter chicken and the Indian style chicken wings!

Not sure why they post hours that they’re open when they literally just open when they feel like it, it’s a joke

If you like authentic food from India, then this place is for you. I’ve tried quite a few of the dishes from here and loved every one of them, (but the place never seems to have a crowd). You’d think with amazing food, a place would attract a crowd, but this gem hasn’t yet, (but should). It’s right outside of Corry Station, so it’s convenient for the young military, but the parking it’s limited due to something going on with the hotel next door. I’m sure there’s a story behind it. They have such great food you owe it to yourself to check this place out. The curry is exceptional.

I used to b an employee there not a great place to eat I worked in kitchen there. Very unsanitary. I spent many of my days cleaning cause it was so nasty. They serve food out date and not properly stored.

Brought my girlfriend who doesn’t really like Indian food, chef/owner made her chicken fried rice and it was incredible!( top 3 fried rice dishes I’ve ever had) If you want to introduce friends/family to Indian cuisine this is the place! This place deserves a Michelin star! It’s a one man shop - so be patient and get a drink, they have a full bar and hookah as well.

I came at 7:32 / 8:42 they bring the appetizer, food placed at 8:02 / 9:00 they bring the food, dessert placed at 9:03 / 9:13 they bring the dessert, the food is good but the time is terrible. This is a real Indian food so beware the spices are strong, the food is amazing, the dessert is phenomenal, the ambient the music is like to be in India. Maybe it was a difficult day for them, but the food is outstanding. I recommend. Tue, Jan 26 9:30 pm.

I don't normally ever give negative reviews. They have forced me to write my experience with there food. Positive: Great Ambience and Great Service. Negative: Pathetic food. They don't make food but make use of frozen food to serve you. The food was full of bad oil. We used several napkins in order to take out bad oil from food. At last, when we ordered Indian team, i asked if they will make it fresh. My biggest mistake was to try this restaurant. My 2 kids, 5 yrs and 2 yrs threw up while driving back from restaurant. Very next morning, i threw up. We are still sick even after week. Please be careful.

Tikka Masala was good but Naan was rubbery. Ate lunch there.

Not worth it. I had chicken Tikka massala and samosa for lunch dine in. The Tikka Massala was blend, the chicken wasn't good, samossas weren't bad but not worth $6 for 2. They actually don't do buffet. My friends had some naans, they weren't good. Not going back.

It was listed on Google as being open after 5pm. After 5pm on a Saturday, the door was locked with no note as to why. Electric signs in the windows were on. Very odd.

0/5 I was craving indian food and wanted to see if there was something better than taste of india,(who are a chain and relatively at par for what you'd expect/not spectacular). I tried this place and placed a pickup order at 5pm when I arrived: 2 samosas, 1 chicken biryani, 1 chicken tikki masala, 3 orders of naan. I waited over an hour after the clerk originally said 20 minutes. I got my food and got home to eat it and it was awful. The naan was undercooked and tasted of flour. The chicken biryani tasted like chef boyardee canned raviolis. My tikki masala was made with old old old chicken that was tough and stringy and slimy. The hard boiled egg served in the masala revealed a GREEN yolk when broken open. The only acceptable thing was the samosa and they were the size of a small baseball at 7 bucks a piece. Will never be returning. I guess the only reason this place has good reviews is because it's on the same street as the navy base. Squids will eat anything other than cafeteria food. Literally disgusting. Not worth 60 bucks. Go to taste of india.

I don’t know why this restaurant rated so high , I visited this place based on rating & to my surprise every second or third thing mentioned in menu is not available , finally ordered 2 veg , No taste at all , different dishes but chef made both in one curry 😆, If you visit and if they say this not available that not available, thn come out don’t waste your money Rated too high prices too high

Amazing food. But they take FOREVER to make the food and sometimes they chose not to answer for orders for pick up. They don’t open during their posted hours and over are very unreliable.

Great food but only one guy doing it all. Host, server, carry out, pick up. Everything was really good just a long time to get food. If you have more people I'm sure you would have more people eating there. A few walked in and stood around then left. Even had a few drivers to pick up food for customers and they were yelling back and forth. Get more help.....

Would give this place zero stars if i could. This was my first time at this restaurant and the one worker we seen was rude right off the bat! Was told it would be a 30 minute wait on my order (which was suppose to be ready at 6:54. The time was 6:52) After waiting 40 minutes my husband asks how much longer we will be waiting and the same guy gets rude AGAIN and says it will be another 35 minutes. When my husband pointed out that we had already been waiting he says we can just cancel our order cause his kitchen is busy. THERE WERE ONLY FOUR TABLES. I've been a GM before and the way he handled this was unprofessional and rude as hell. Will not be back

Definitely would recommend this place if you are ever in Pensacola. One of the finest Indian restaurants I have ever been too. I would recommend having the afghani mango curry with choice of your protein and make it spicy as it will be a good combo of sweet and spice. The choice of music is really good and sets the right ambience for a romantic date.

Had dinner with a very small group. For most of the dinner, we were the only people in the place. It looks like they've revamped their menu and added some new items. I tried the Rogan Josh for the first time and got a mixed veggie biryani. As always, there's more food than you can eat for one meal. The brussel sprout appetizer was great. Everything was delicious. I'm looking forward to my leftovers. I will note that it took a long time, but it always takes a while. I think there's only two people running the place. So order appetizers and plates to share, get a bottle of wine and hang out and eat in waves.

I was skeptical of how empty it was, but it was a Sunday night. The food is delicious, though; both the appetizer and curry I had were flavorful. The waitress seemed young and inexperienced and did not engage our table frequently or confidently. Willing to change my review to five stars if the service is better next time. Compliments to the chef. P.S. The food also reheats well. Update: Abi/AJ is doing a phenomenal job! 5 Stars!

Man I went there today omg the best Indian food I've ever had in my life. All the food is packed full of flavor! As an appetizers I suggest everyone to try the "clay oven cooked" wings man you won't regret it. Not to mention the proportions of the food man you get more then your money's worth. I ordered the goat curry and halfway through I was stuffed and asked for a togo box but it was so good I was still trying to finish it😅. Plus the customer service is A1, the most polite and generous people you'll meet! Then you again Spice and Spirits!

This is by far the best Indian restaurant in the Pensacola area. After living in NYC for 4 years, I have high standards for Indian food and Spice & Spirits does not disappoint. We ordered the vegetable korma, dal tadka, chana masala, and naan for take out. Everything in the order tasted hot, spicy (as requested), fresh, and incredibly flavorful. I'm honestly surprised that there is a spot in Pensacola serving Indian food this delicious! We will certainly be ordering from here again soon. Definitely a great local, small business to support during this time.

Please check your order before you pickup your take out at this place. This was probably the worst service I've had from any indian restaurant in America. We ordered 2 Chicken Tikka but we received only 1. We ordered 3 "Butter" naan's but we received Garlic. Worst Chicken Biryani in the world. Once realized we were missed certain orders we tried to call them 3 times, they didn't pick up. Worst customer service.

I just had the lunch buffet at Spice and spirits kitchen and bar and I had to say I feel like I just got taken. I've been going to Dinner India Restaurant & Grill for years and absolutely love it but a lot of folks were saying this place was even better. What we just had (we tried it all trying to find something worth eating) was right above room temp, mildly flavored, and overall subpar. I brought it to the attention of the manager how room temp it all was but he just said that they keep the rice lower and walked into the back away from me. Didn't finish a single thing on our plates and we were hungry. This all cost me over 25 bucks for two. Wouldn't recommend this place. If you want some great Indian, please visit Dinner India.

The so many flavors, amazing drinks, and good specials. I got a mimosa and they didn't have orange juice and had to substitute and they made the drink on them. Definitely the best Indian food in town. EDIT: had to bump down the rating to a 3/5. place is great and all, but after being there for about 5 times I noticed they don't turn on the AC at all. It's really hot in there. my second visit we got the whole fish, but had to send it back twice because it was raw, after an hour wait we just told them to wait. The female server is amazing though, best server ive had so far. So attentive, accommodates our needs, and great personality. The last few times we had a male server and he forgot drinks, and rarely visited us a handful of times... However he visited the other tables often just fine. Place is good, it would definitely be better if the place turned on their AC more and the female server was there more often.
