Check insta for updates on hours... this is by far the best coffee in the quarter. Dude is so friendly and easy to chat with. Makes my day brighter to pop by and have an amazing beverage. The bites have been killer too!

We were in search of a decaf coffee and found this wonderful spot. Fabulous staff, and a delicious pastry treat that I'm still thinking about! Unique little spot on a side street, simple, gracious, and quiet. We had been to the themed one up the street who proudly said they didn't serve decaf and proceeded to direct us far away. A few steps away we found this spot. Thanks for our decaf fix! 10/10! Right near the Michaelopolous gallery which is a fun art gallery!

Scott is a really nice guy and is doing some cool stuff with the shop. Had a really nice slow cold drip natural Ethiopian. Tasted like strawberry shortcake. It was delicious! And a good price

The best coffee I’ve had in the states. If you need your fix of proper barrister coffee……this is your place. Cool atmosphere, super helpful staff and most importantly, amazing coffee. Save this location if you’re in NOLA

Beautiful and delicious hand-crafted coffee drinks to lift your spirits and start your day off right. Try the tres fluers iced coffee - it sounds odd but is delightful. The bagels are also legit.

Las Tres Flores latte was delicious! Pleasantly floral with just a hint of sweetness, and great quality espresso. Wish I had the chance to come back and try something else.

Truly excellent espresso! It is a lovely shop off of a cute pedestrian alley a block away from Bourbon Street. The owner obviously cares a lot about quality, and is a pleasure to talk to. If high quality coffee is important to you, this is the place to go.

Love the Matcha! One of the few places that actually has matcha and prepare as well

Beautifully crafted coffees. We found it hard to find great cappuccinos in the french quarter, until we went to Spitfire. Such a cool vibe and the barista added to it. Wanted to return on Monday but they are closed Mon - Wed so get your fill over the weekend! Note: Best to pickup coffees here and then get your beignets with this coffee in hand. Cappuccinos at Cafe Beignet and DuMond quite disappointing with similar price points.

Tried several cafes in the area, this little gem had the best latte I had while in town.

Fantastic coffee! It takes a bit of time, but definitely worth the wait. Flat whites were outstanding!

I can’t say enough good things about this place. The coffee is fantastic and the gentleman who runs the place is very kind. The coffee is classic, true to what coffee and espresso drinks should be. There are some wonderful flavored drinks, like the Mexican Vanilla Latte and the Cuban Cortado. If you’re in a rush, this is not the place for you, as each cup is crafted with care and takes a few minutes as it seems to also be a one man operation. The street it’s on is quiet and beautiful, with outdoor seating available. Next time I’m in New Orleans I will be back!

We were served by the friendliest barista ever, and had an exceptional anaerobic espresso from a small roaster. Great vibe and special coffee in the French quarter.

We found this spot when we were exploring the French Quarter. It’s a great little shop and the coffee is fantastic. Let me be clear: this is a coffee shop. They make coffee and maybe have some baked goods. You’re not getting the whole tourist trap, beignet-oriented, merchandise selling chaos pit from down the street. It’s got a nice, laid-back vibe instead. The coffee is truly amazing. The owner was running the bar when we arrived and was super friendly and made some great recommendations to my friends. My flat white slapped. My friends' Mexican lattes probably hit harder. A++ will definitely visit next time we're in town.

Love, love love this coffee bar. It's super small and local that's a one man team run by the owner. I've had 3 different coffees from this shop and each was delicious but my favorite is the Mexican Vanilla Latte. Highly recommend if you want something located down a cute alley and not too busy. That said, the wait is worth it.

Absolutely phenomenal coffee. I had a cortado and a pour over. The pour over was from Black & White Coffee. It was a natural anerobic from famed producer Wilson Benitez and it was absolutely incredible. Highly highly recommend. Don’t go to a chain - support local business ✌️.

Buddy and I found this place just three minutes from Bourbon street. It’s a small shop with limited seating, but big coffee flavors. Great lighting and decor for some fun photos with the gals. I am a cold brew guy and this lives up to the hype.

The storefront was in a very convenient location and very cute. I wish there was more seating available. I would prefer for the prices to be listed on the menu. I was surprised to hear that my single coffee was almost $8. That being said, the coffee was very good and it was a lovely atmosphere.

You must get the Mexican vanilla latte!!! It was the absolute best latte I have ever had and Scott (the owner) was so friendly during our visit. It’s sweet and so smooth. I wish I could have brought it home with me. We actually went back two days in a row with more friends in tow too. I had an iced coffee as well and it helped carry me through the rest of our site seeing to city park. Delicious coffee and friendly atmosphere. Worth the wait if there is a line (they move quickly).

Fantastic coffee and even better hospitality. We found Spitfire in 2019, and we always make sure to stop by at least a few times during each New Orleans visit. The new location is super charming too!

Tucked away but really worth seeking out. Super coffee, they know what they're doing and obviously love what they do. Quality coffee for people that can tell the difference. Enjoy!

Most importantly great coffee. Locally owned and operated by owner. New location so double check. Worth at least a 15 minute walk from your hotel

Best coffee in French Quarter NOLA. Quaint/quiet walking street makes this an amazing respite from the bustle of the area. Spitfire is for those who care about really good coffee. Meaning, they put care into bean selection roast style, grind consistency, and measured/specific brewing standards. European style coffee bar, expecting you to sip there or grab and go. Amazing pour over Expect fun conversation from locals while you enjoy your coffee. Thank you and I can't wait to see stop in on my next visit to NOLA.

If you want an extraordinary cup of coffee, this is the place for you. It's like a tiny laboratory. The baristas are very involved with the extruding process. It reminds a place that used to be in River Ranch in Lafayette, LA. I believe it was called "The Lab" Magnificent aromas and smooth flavors. I've never tasted coffee so good.

Such a pleasant surprise!! We made a detour here along our walk and were so happy we did! Adorable little pedestrian alley to an unmarked door, inside is cute and cozy. The barista was very friendly, and the cortado was the smoothest one I've ever had. Definitely be sure to stop here!!

So so so excited this gem of a coffee bar has reopened. After so many years of providing peak caffeinated and conversational experiences, it’s so good to see them back again. You won’t regret coming here.

When I saw Spitfire Coffee was open I was happy. I frequented both locations, before they closed down. The pictures on the reviews were of the Saint Peter Street store which has been closed over a year. I thought the one on Exchange Place had also closed but figured I would walk over. There’s no sign, the doors are locked there’s no sign of activity. Equipment is still in place, looking through the windows. Maybe they plan to reopen?

Legit espresso. I was so happy to stumble upon this gem of a coffee shop. I am very picky with my beans and coffee and Spitfire is on par dank espresso. Service was very friendly and knowledgeable. Very grateful they are open!

Four people ahead of me and waited for 15 minutes to get coffee. Asked for oat milk and got almond milk, triggering an allergic reaction. Edit: This happened in May 2022.

We went to like 6 coffee shops while we were in New Orleans and this was our fave! No place to sit so your coffee is to go, but it was amazing!

A utilitarian little place. Nothing fancy, nothing exciting…but very good coffee. My cortado was extremely fragrant and satisfying! Would appreciate somewhere to sit, but I understand the purpose they serve. If you want a quick coffee to go that will be a flavorful addition to your day, highly recommended.

Not sure why their reviews are good. Coffee is average at best and coffee takes ages to make and gets served cold.

Really really good coffee, probably the best I've had in the quarter.

There was a line to get our drink in, but once in we just walked around the neighborhood and picked it up around 10mins later. I ordered the La Tres Flores latte, and for a floral latte the lavender milk flavor wasn't too strong! Was a big fan of the subtle floral notes.

Sensational flavor. Super smooth as well. The service is exceptionally efficient, worth the stop.

Great coffee if you can get it. As there aren’t many options for a superior espresso in the French quarter this is definitely the spot for craft espresso. Why such a low rating then? If you’ve tried to get coffee there you may notice when they choose to work versus what their hours are, are two very different things. As a local, I frequent this spot with much disappointment that the sign on the door says they are open yet the doors are closed. There will even be a barista in there. If you’re lucky enough for them to be actually open get ready to wait forever and be met with a stand offish attitude. I understand the plight of the service industry worker in the French quarter and having to deal with dumb tourists. If hospitality and patience is not your thing, then don’t open up a spot in the French quarter. Even if they are swamped, a kind acknowledgement of a waiting customers presence goes a long way. This is all to say their coffee is some of the best in the city, but you’re lucky if you can get it. This place used to be way better before the pandemic.

Really lovely and unique specialty lattes. A great stop before a morning stroll through the quarter. I recommend the Mexican vanilla! Currently just operating as a walk-up takeaway window. Masks required.

Delicious speciality coffee, alternative milk available and really great service! We came two days in a row over Boxing Day and there was one guy holding the fort alone but he was absolutely smashing it. We saw him make about 15 coffees including speciality drinks and every one was perfect.

When I visited they're definitely observing a much more safer version of the shop with the doorway covered with a barrier and a table. They have a wonderful pour over black roast that was exactly what I needed! It might take a few minutes to get your drink but it's well worth the wait. Make sure to tip your server!

Coffee was good but service was so slow we won’t be returning. Waited 35 minutes for a cup of coffee with only a couple people in line ahead of me, and this is not a sit-down cafe it’s a walk-up window.

Small but mighty coffee shop! Quality over quantity for the menu as well; only a few specialty items, but they are truly unique and flavorful. My spouse and I both ordered iced specialty drinks. The iced coffee is strong. For those concerned about COVID protocol, there is a sturdy boundary between customers and employee. Service was excellent. We had a nice conversation with the employee about visiting Japan. To-go orders only.
