Wow is all I can say. I’ve never had such an incredible experience at a restaurant! The food was amazing but the atmosphere and incredible detail to attention was next level. I would recommend it to anyone visiting Scottsdale! We felt like royalty!

Literally the best steak house experience I’ve ever had. The staff was PHENOMENAL. They treated us like we were famous and I’ll never forget it. It definitely helps that the staff all look like super models. I felt like we were royalty. Best night ever. OH AND THE FOOD WAS OBVIOUSLY THE STAR OF THE NIGHT! Melt in your mouth.

I normally don't trust to many restaurants for preparing a steak. I was surprised at my last visit though. My 12oz filet mignon looked like it was disfigured and actually upset my stomach. I traveled pretty far in hopes to enjoy some time off with my wife, but unfortunately this time wasn't a great experience. I would still recommend, it is a nice place.

New FAVORITE!!! Steak 44 is top notch!!! We had one of the best dining experiences ever celebrating our 27 year anniversary here. Our table was semi private next to the kitchen and watching the staff of Steak 44 was like choreography. Everyone at this establishment is on their game. Shout out to an amazing server, “T.” He made our night even more special with his excellent knowledge of the menu. T is a wonderful server! The food here is exquisite. One of the top 3 steaks we’ve ever had. We had the mushrooms and snow peas and they were outstanding! Our drinks were delicious and the music had me bopping in my chair while enjoying a truly delicious meal! We will be back!!

Delicious food with outstanding service. Came here for my birthday dinner and was sat at our table and handed a hand written birthday card. Everything we ordered was absolutely amazing. We spent some money but it was well worth it. Someone from the restaurant even called my wife the following day to follow up and ensure we had a great experience. Absolutely recommend.

I enjoyed the meal very much. High quality oysters, tartar and veal chop. Ricky our server was outstanding, ask for him when you visit. Very knowledgeable and attentive. The wine list is nearly perfect, but one improvement worth mentioning, 1/2 bottles or possibly an expansion of the by the glass offering. The seclusion of the booths is a nice touch too, but I prefer to people watch a little more when I go out. Be sure to speak up when you reserve your table or check in with the host if this is a concern for you.

A very tasty meal, I would recommend asking your wait staff for options as they are very knowledgeable and some of the best items were not on the menu.

This was my second time here. First time we sat at a table and were surrounded by scantily clad females that did not have the figures to justify such outfits, and loud obnoxious males that completed their table. Last night more loud, obnoxious, boisterous patrons at the bar and guy who had ear buds and sunglasses on the whole time? I WISH they enforced a dress code or ANY type of code of conduct. For the menu, winelist, service and PRICE, you would think this place would attract a more *ahem "sophisticated/higher end crowd. Not the case. Service is amazing in all areas. Bartender who served us dinner at the bar, the maitre d and even food servers. I have to say though I have never been overly impressed with the food compared to other highly rated steak restaurants. It's an assembly line when it comes to preparing their steaks. I was very specific about how I wanted mine and I still had to send it back. Once it was just placed under the broiler again, (a filet mignon??) it was barely edible when they returned it charred and unevenly cooked the second time. Sides-I mean steamed broccoli that came tasting and looking like the "steam in bag" florets you get from the grocery store, nothing special tin of dinner rolls and a baked potato that didn't taste fresh or well prepared. Meal this time was meh at best. I did like the shrimp appetizer but if I am being honest, I have had the same exact thing at PF Changs down the street. I just don't see what the big deal about this place is. The luster is dim.

It's a rare occurrence to eat at a place and fully enjoy every item you try. The atmosphere is a wonderful blend of bustling food service, and private and cozy with tables enclosed in wavy glass. Each table appears to be complete with an air vent and speaker, and depending on your placement in the restaurant you can also plainly see the cooks at work through a glass case. The staff did a beautiful job explaining the menu, checking in on us, and making the little things (like pacing the meal and receiving drink refills) feel completely seamless. They even asked if the lighting at our table was adequate and offered to adjust. The menu is fantastic as well. The most difficult part was picking what we wanted to eat, because everything sounded so delicious. Not a single item disappointed. Our steaks were cooked and seasoned to perfection. As far as sides go, my husband and I would wholeheartedly recommend the shells and cheese, and the corn crème brûlée - both shockingly good. If it's in your budget, Steak 44 is an excellent place for a romantic dinner or particularly special occasion. Top notch everything!!!

We went to dinner with another couple to celebrate their anniversary and decided to celebrate at Steak 44 on Saturday night. My husband and I have been going to dine here for the last 10 years. We hadn’t been here for over a year but remember just a year ago our experience was much different that Saturday night. First we noticed the complimentary butter rolls were different and not as soft and fluffy and were thick and dry. We asked for new rolls and the the same came out. Secondly the attention to our table was noticeable as before we used to have constant attention with water refills and crumb cleaning off the table endlessly. Third our steaks came out out over cooked 2/3 steaks at the table….. one was sent back and cam back raw…. The other we just ate like it was because we were hungry and didn’t want to wait for the red cook. Fourth, we we left out food was not boxed up and was somehow missing placed and no where to be found. We are thinking it accidentally was thrown away and never boxed up. Oh yeah, we also order the Beignets which came out dry, hard and cold….. don’t eat any of them. We were all sad and disappointed to say the least and can remember how this restaurant used to be. We used to get so excited to come and dine here that we would talk about to for days until our reservations. Not sure what happened or if this was just a one off night but after the prices of steaks and sides and how much we pay, we will most likely not come back for a long time. The place is intentionally overpriced. The food is ok, but nothing to wow about. Streaks pretty much flavorless, we got a filet and a ribeye, while both were nice and soft, the flavor just wasn't there. Another friend got a rack of lamb and it was also soft and tender but again lacking flavor. Regarding the lamb, the lack of flavor was likely due to it being cooked medium, as raw-ish lamb usually doesn't develop good flavor until it's about medium well, which i told my friend but he decided to go with the "house" preference. Not sure why they device to cook it that way. The sides were also over salted, and that's the opinion of 4 people we had in our group so not just me. Service was good and everyone was polite. Atmosphere decent, they have more loud sections in the front and a quieter section in the back, which is where we were so that was nice. Overall, definitely a one and done.

Very enjoyable experience at Steak 44. Wonderful atmosphere and service in an elevated dining experience. We both felt our steaks were very good but could use a bit more salt, which is why we gave it 4 stars. However, the sides and dessert were incredible! The brussle sprouts with bacon, and the mac and cheese were to die for. We finished with a beignet tree that was amazing! Our waiter, Gary, was incredibly knowledgable and kind. All in all, it was a great experience and we would highly recommend it to others!

I give everything 5 stars. Been here multiple times and I have yet to be disappointed. From service to food everything is on point, staff is very friendly and will make sure to give you a wonderful experience. Recommend 100 % .

Celebrating my son’s 36th birthday and start to finish everything was incredible. Treat yourself, it’s worth every penny!

I've been here about a dozen times and haven't ever had anything bad. This is arguably one of the top steakhouses in America. Their best steak is ribeye endcap. The pork belly appetizer is AMAZING. I suggest the A5 platter and the poke platter too for additional appetizers. Get the beginet for dessert.

Me and my boyfriend tried to go here while we were on vacation in AZ. When we walked in, no one acknowledged us at all. A few people were standing around talking so I didn’t think much of it. I eventually walked up to the counter & asked if there were any tables available. If not, we would be fine with sitting at the bar since it was so last minute. The girl said no but she would check to see if there was anything at the bar. Cool. Minutes go by, she never communicated if there was anything at the bar. As I was about to walk back up, a different couple walked in, mentioned not having reservations & said they wanted to sit at the bar. Someone escorted them to the bar immediately. Literally. Me & my boyfriend both looked at each other confused. The girl then said there weren’t anymore seats at the bar. IF THERE WASN'T ANY SEATS AT THE BAR, HOW DID THIS COUPLE GET SEATS AND WE WERE THERE BEFORE THEM? 🤷🏾‍♀️ We ended up just leaving & going to STK. When visiting AZ again, I won’t think of trying this place. The guys outside were extremely nice, I will say.

I loved the service and the atmosphere but I dont understand the hype around the food. Most people truly love this establishment though so you may too. Enjoy!

This experience is like nothing else on earth. Steak 44 is a OASIS IN THE DESERT WITH ENTREES TO DIE FOR.First time visit, found it while reviewing other places. This day was a once in a lifetime experience that no other steak restaurant can equal. Order anything yes I said anything it will be perfectly made and unique in its own way . We were here on our wedding anniversary and surprised by a semi private room! There is no steak restaurant in the United States that can come close to their quality of food and chefs. If you go to another steak restaurant you will miss the best meal of your life and all the beautiful people that will help you and serve you. Missing this restaurant and going elsewhere is your mistake of a lifetime. If it costs millions and millions of dollars to eat here it's worth double that. This is a once in a lifetime find. An oasis in Arizona that is worth a trip from the far reaches of the universe. I wish we were younger so we could have so many more perfectly delicious days in our lives to do it again and again. To all the staff and the guests it was a pleasure meeting you all and speaking with you through the meal.. This place deserves a rating of a million stars and more. It was a one day excursion to culinary bliss. We took home bags of food and look foward to a second dinner at home. From our hearts to yours. Thankyou Thankyou Thankyou for being the beautiful souls and spirits you are. The music the conversations the whole set up was a beautiful time and place to be why would anyone want it to end? Been going to steak 44 the past 4 years for my birthday. Traveling from Tucson Az (2 hour drive) Always the best experience and best steaks I’ve ever had. Angel, JO and Kyle are an amazing Team and once again made my birthday, the best one yet.

Where to start. This place is amazing. From the moment we pulled up, until the moment we drove off the staff were super friendly and accommodating. The food was exquisite, the service it’s equal. Where this place really shone was in the manner in which they handled a special request. They put together a platter of my wife’s favorite dessert, dark-chocolate covered strawberries. The presentation was special, the strawberries were some of the best my wife has had. The chocolate was thick and rich, served with a bed of chocolate shavings and a bowl of strawberry gelato. It turned an already great evening into one we’ll remember for a long time. Shout out to Frasier and crew for taking such great care of us.

I love it for a special occasion or if I’m just craving a good steak and red velvet bread pudding!

Great birthday dinner with my Mom. Split the tomahawk(I recommend) honestly the dry aged wasn’t a flavor i prefer so I’d stick with regular. The crème brûlée corn is to die for! Yummy! Great birthday treat! Jericho was a very lovely service attendant.

From start to finish, the staff was courteous and attentive. Our waiter Sam was outstanding. Excellent Sommelier and paired the wine perfectly with everything we ordered.

Steak 44 was amazing! Great from the second you walked up to the front door. Staff and service were top-notch. They go above and beyond for their customers. The food was delicious! The chicken fried lobster appetizer was so good! Steak was perfectly cooked and so flavorful. The Alaskan king crab and rock shrimp mac and cheese was the best I've ever had. The complimentary cookies melted in your mouth, and the chocolate cake was so good. This restaurant is a gem.

Dined here for a work event. Honestly, it was embarrassingly bad. I feel sorry for anyone who thinks this is an example of a high end steak house experience, I really do. Just because it’s expensive, does not mean it’s quality, clearly. I went back and forth with myself about whether or not to bother with a review, but I think people have the right to realistic idea of what they are in for when they are planning a dinner in this price range. When we arrived everyone stopped what they were doing to welcome us. We were taken first to the wrong room for a different work party, they realized their mistake and took us to the correct area (it’s fine, accidents happen). After being seated, we were all poured tap water (which tasted atrocious, like straight out of a swimming pool) they didn’t even ask if we wanted mineral water or sparking or anything, just poured everyone the awful (clearly unfiltered) tap water (for me this is strike 1). We proceed to order without issue. Then the food starts to come out, several people of the group ordered seafood due to dietary restrictions, the seafood came out on scalding hot plates, you could literally hear it over cooking on the plate as it lay before you. I am shocked this needs to be explained to an establishment with seafood on the menu, but seafood should not be over cooked…this is why serving it on a plate hot enough to keep it cooking is a bad idea. The scallops and sea bass had no sense of plating whatsoever, just seared and haphazardly thrown on the plate to continue cooking so they can be nice and overdone by the time you risk a taste (this is strike 2). Then the waiters start serving the sides, and one point the waiter was literally leaning over my head to serve the person across the table from me, he dropped 3 pieces of broccoli on the tablecloth and then proceeded to pick them up and put them on the plate of the person in front of me (😭😂😭that is strike 3). I was speechless. Truly, what would possess someone to think that’s acceptable, I do not know. I mean if you dropped something, would you want to pick it up and eat it? Then why would you think a customer paying $200+ for their meal would? I’ve never seen such a thing, anywhere, how absolutely hilarious to have it happen at an establishment charging upwards of $200 per person for a meal. When we left everyone wished us goodnight. They seem capable of welcoming you and wishing you a good evening, but everything in between they seem woefully, comically, clueless about. I sincerely hope all the patrons giving this place 5 stars get to experience a real high end steakhouse one day, so they can see this place for the down market, over hyped, joke it is. If I recommended this place, I think I would die of embarrassment.

Great atmosphere, great drinks… hated the hot plate that the steaks came on. How about you cook the steak longer and put it on a warmed plate. Might be back, meh.

Food is terrific, but the servers are out of this world,. Our waitress told my wife they didn't have Dr Pepper (she doesn't drink), so she said she'd just have water. 10 mins later our waitress came back with a Dr Pepper - she'd gone over to AJs to buy a 6 pack for her. Legendary!

Steak 44 is an absolute gem and easily a 10 out of 10 experience! From start to finish, our evening was flawless. The oysters were simply amazing, and the sea bass was the best I've ever had. They were incredibly accommodating of my son's food allergies, ensuring he enjoyed a perfectly cooked filet mignon. Our waiter, Tomas, was an absolute joy—knowledgeable, kind, and professional. Every staff member we encountered was fantastic. We can't wait to come back on our next visit to Arizona. Highly recommend!

Went to Steak 44 for our 6th wedding anniversary on Sunday. Had a reservation and got right in- no waiting. Such an amazing experience! The food was spectacular, the service and staff above and beyond, the atmosphere was fantastic. We definitely will go there again and highly recommend this establishment!

Very good for an anniversary dinner. Very expensive but you get what you pay for. Steak was perfect and sides were delicious. Service was great too.

This place was perfect, the service was on point always making sure we had everything we needed. The food came out fast and delicious. I celebrated my 41th birthday there and they made it special for my wife and I.

Steak 44 was great. Went there for Father's Day and enjoyed everything. This is an absolutely great chain. They have others like Steak 48 in Houston, which is another excellent place. Also, they own Dominic's in Scottsdale. Dominic's may be one step up, but they are both high-end and very good. The service was on point from the second we walked in. Everyone was very professional and courteous. We walked to the back of the restaurant and passed probably 15 workers along the way, and every one of them welcomed us in and wished me a happy Father's Day. Once we were seated, we were treated like royals. Every need was attended to, and our food as always was excellent. This place is very consistent and that is huge for us. We want the same food and service every time we return to an establishment, and this place does not disappoint. Depending on your budget, it could be a bit pricey for some. However, in this case, you definitely get what you pay for, and we are happy to do so. We will most definitely be back to their line of restaurants. If you enjoy fine dining and superior food while being catered to, then this is the place.

Place and food was amazing. Went there for our 2-year anniversary and did not disappoint. The crispy shrimp was the best I've ever had! Keep in-mind, you can easily spend $150+ per person, but the food and service was worth it.

The service was excellent, the food was excellent...However, those unisex bathrooms get a zero... We had such a nice dinner, only to have to use a restroom that a male had been in and he sprinkled his stuff all over the floor and toilet...I tried to wipe it down (after our $600 dinner) but left with a sticky bottom, even after a quick sponge bath in there. Please switch back to separate bathrooms for each sex.

Atmosphere was very tight, lil bit noisy but restaurant was probably at 95% occupancy.... excellent business model.

We are from Nebraska and went out to phoenix to visit our daughter. We decided to go to Steak 44 for supper Saturday night 6/15/24 . We made reservations and where seated on the time we made to got eat , and was greeted by a very nice waitress she spent the next several minutes explaining the whole menu to us. My wife and daughter had the 8 oz fillets while I had the 18 oz bone in fillet. They also ordered some sided. While I had the fully loaded baked potato. The steaks were all perfectly done to our liking. They were the best steaks we have ever ate. All the side dish were to notch, we have zero complaints. When we go back to visit again we will most definitely return to Steak 44.

Unbelievable, customer service. Absolutely the best around. We ate dinner at the bar. Started out with two bartenders and then had four bartenders. They worked like clockwork as a team and gave every person an experience. Food is excellent. Wow!

I'm here at least 3 times a year. No better steak house in AZ, I've been to them all and this place takes the cake. I always feel like king when I'm here. The food is just amazing and I recommend everything here. On a typical date night with my wife we spend around 250-300. Definitely don't come here on a 1st date, not till u know she's or he is worth it. Enjoy

The steak was delectable, the sides were delightful, and the atmosphere was elegant and serene. The soft music and pleasant ambiance contributed to a truly enjoyable dining experience.

Steak and Ocean 44 are THE standard for fine dining in the valley. The entire experience is unlike anything else I’ve encountered in almost any other restaurant in the country, let alone Phoenix. 5 star service (if you make a reservation, they even call you the following day to see how your experience was), accompanied by 5 star food and drink, what more can you ask for? Highly, highly recommend either location.

For appetizers we had the shrimp and calamari and it was really good I loved the shrimp especially. We then had a salad which was very fresh and had a beautiful light dressing on it. I had the salmon ,corn brûlée, and mashed potatoes for my entree, and let me just say, the flavors were absolutely immaculate. I’m everything was made to perfection. At the end we had the ultimate warm vanilla caramel cake, words cannot explain how tasty this was. It was perfect. Service was great and I enjoyed the atmosphere.

Steaks were yummy! No need to order the side of truffle sauce, unless you really want it. Preferred to have it just with house spices. Side dishes were very yummy. And the dessert...very indulgent!

The quality of the steaks is well worth what you pay. Wine choices are vast, cocktails are excellent, I would recommend the Old Fashion (Walnut), silky smooth with a nutty finish. For a date night, try and get a more private booth as the open areas are bustling with the activity of the staff.

One of the best places I've ever been. The only knock is the price but that can be expected given the quality of service and food. Just to set expectations for two people you can expect to spend around $250 and that is without alcohol.

A place to go for remarkable steaks, side dishes , pricey but worth it

Overall not a bad experience. The American waygu ribeye was average. Tasted similar to a prime ribeye. For how much they charge (135) for the American waygu, I don’t think it was worth while. We also order a filet mignon, overall was decent. Wasn’t as juicy and was a little over cooked then requested. Sides are exceptional. Our service was 7/10. Our server was great at explaining the menu but when we mentioned our steak issues, she got the manager and then was hesitant to come back and check on us the remainder of the night. We have been to steak 44 four times and it’s been exceptional 2 out of the 4 times.

It was one of the best restaurant experiences of my life. Inside, there were staff stationed throughout the restaurant to greet us and they regularly checked in which made me feel welcome. The seating arrangement was also very well thought out and planned. The food did not take long to order, they treated my child well, and it was delicious. The bread, steak, potatoes, and various other dishes were cooked to our need. In total, the atmosphere was particularly pleasant, the service was admirable, and the food was incredible. Would highly recommend!

First time and I loved every minute of it. Booked on open table no problems. We arrived and they took us right away to our seat My two favorite food crab and avocado so I had to go for the crab avocado stack. I didn’t love it. I think I needed chips or something but the quality was amazing My wife had a tomato salad which was incredible I wish I ordered that. The bread I love with sea salty wife wanted parm so no problem half and half We had fried asparagus which is a new thing for me. I really enjoyed that. They brought us ranch I know simple flavor but it could have been the best ranch I ever had. We had a fillet which was cooked perfect and I love how it comes out on a hot plate Everything was wonderful. When I go back I want to try a seafood tower. I remember hearing CC Sabathia raving about it when the Yankees came to Phoenix

Cannot rave about this place enough. We asked Gary, our amazing server, to guide us through the night: started with a couple martinis (2 for one you get what’s left in the shaker), the Hawaiian poke, and the avocado king crab appetizer. Next we got the Chilean sea bass *crusted with lemon* and aged prime rib *dressed to the nines in truffle butter with shrimp* accompanied by CORN CRÈME BRÛLÉE, asparagus, potatoes a gratis, and seafood Mac and cheese. I was in absolute awe. The corn crème brûlée is a non negotiable must. We topped off with a couple of espresso martinis, bourbon on the rocks, and caramel butter cake. I could not have asked for a better experience. You get what you pay for x 1000000. Incredible food, even better service, and a stunning atmosphere. I will be a guest for life. Thank you to the Steak44 team for a night I will not soon forget.

Can someone please do something about the flooring. It’s very slippery I’ve fell and seen other woman fall too. Makes me not want to go there just for that. Food was great though

Tables for two way too small - seems kind of squished - food was amazing our waiter was amazing 🩷 the blonde young lady host needs to but be so off putting she seemed to be in a terrible mood that after noon over all it’s okay. Nice for a special occasion I’d be excited for other locations

By far the WORST dining experience that I can remember. Given the fine dining atmosphere and ambiance that the restaurant strives to provide and its "strict" rules listed on its website regarding proper attire, the restaurant completely failed on all counts. We were seated next to another table where, for almost 2 hours, the patrons were obnoxiously loud, talking on their cellphones (on speaker) and using just about every swear word and derogatory racial name that one can think of. It made us all extremely uncomfortable. All of this while their younger daughter was listening and playing on an ipad with the volume turned up high enough to match that of her parents. It was so bad that we couldn't hear each other across from one another at our table. We certainly understand that that everyone is entitled to have their own conversations while dining, and even have fun if they are there to celebrate something, but this was way beyond reasonable and acceptable. It was even obvious that the waitstaff was uncomfortable. I don't know that we will come back to the restaurant or even recommend it to family or friends given how truly offensive the people were next to us and the restaurant staff/management not doing anything to correct it. It's a shame to spend that kind of money and to feel so uncomfortable that we didn't even want to finish our meals. So disappointing.

The best service, atmosphere, and meal we’ve ever consumed in Scottsdale. A pricey evening, but worth every penny! Nothing in town compares. Highly recommend.

Upscale steak restaurant, comfortable cozy atmosphere, steaks cooked perfectly, definitely can tell the steaks are prime and cooked at high temperature, careful the serving plate is hot, highly recommended if your budget allows. Sides are big enough to serve multiple people, highly recommend the praline mashed sweet potatoes.

The crispy shrimp appetizer is divine!!!! Love the seafood mashed potatoes and the creme brulee corn is unreal. The Brussel sprouts are delicious. Let's not forget to try the banana Sunday, triple chocolate bombe, or vanilla cake for dessert!!!

Four of us had an outstanding fine dining meal with above outstanding service. The quality is reflected fairly in the price, for most of us and infrequent but wonderful treat.

Excellent Steak House experience. Our server was in training otherwise I would have given the service 5 stars. If you are looking for a quality steak dinner look no further.

Rude hostess w a poor attitude. Made me feel like I was at an nyc night club and I wasn’t cool enough to get in. Gross. Clientele looked gross too. Saw at least two call girls .

Great bone in ribeye. Cooked to perfection on medium. Appetizers cocktail shrimp and oysters from British Columbia were great. Sides sauteed mushrooms and truffle fries were ok.

I would highly recommend this place. It’s an upscale fine dining restaurant service is impeccably great.

Went on a first date here, absolutely loved it. Food was amazing, server was super knowledgeable about food and wines, and let us take our time. Highly recommend!

I went for my third time yesterday, Ive had a great experience every other time i have came here, however this time was different. The service was lacking, my steak came out very very rare, borderline not cooked. And I love rare. I made it about half way through before feeling like it was just too undercooked and not a good sear. For 200+ dollars it just wasn't what i hoped for this time. Will consider going elsewhere for high end steaks now. Update, I was reached out to by the manager the following morning. Super nice guy, apologetic, accommodating. He said he has something coming for me in email. Nice of him to reach out.

Business Meeting. The service was impeccable.

The food was great! The prok belly was a bit dry but the rest was perfect. Service was slow, being a slower Tuesday, however it was thorough and good service. The personal responsible for handling the takeaway food did forget our truffle butter for the left over steaks which is a very disappointing loss of 2 $9 dollar sauce additions. I'll stick to Dominic's for a truly premium service.
