Absolutely loved this place! Probably the best snow crab I’ve ever had. Will absolutely come back soon.

I found Stewby's years ago, and every time we come to the area we usually stop at both locations. From the moment you walk in the door it smells wonderful. Everything we have tried on the menu has been great. One of our favorites are the fish of the day sandwich. My husband who hates fish loves it. Most amazing seafood near Destin and Ft.Walton. Affordable prices and great portion sizes. We have a family of 5 and it is hard to beat the restaurants in the area. Customer service is amazing as well! Thank you for continuing excellent customer service and having quality fredh food at affordable prices. Also Faye has worked their forever and we love her! Sides we have tried and loved are the cheese grits, onions rings, fries, coleslaw, and everything is seasoned to perfection!

We ordered the shrimp dinner and got raw tuna to go!! Amazing food,fish and staff. Wish I could give more than 5 stars!!! We went our first 2 nights and will probably go at least 2 more times.

A must! We ordered fried oysters and fried chicken, fries, green beans, hush puppies and cheese grits. Everything was delicious.

Food is amazing! We came here at least 3 times during vacation. Julie the server- 1 star at most. She needs to work better on customer service! Heavily disappointed in her attitude, but the food was great.

We ordered steamed royal reds dinner which comes with red potatoes, corn and sausage, also ordered the steamed shrimp dinner with the same sides. Delicious!! Service is Fabulous!!

Stopped in based on the awesome reviews while on a family vaca. The outside doesn't look like much and the inside is definitely quite humble but the food is yummmmmm-EEE! I got the shrimp tacos, hubs got the fried shrimp, kiddos got the chicken strips, hush puppies and popcorn shrimp. I had a little bite of everything and deffffffinitely can say the food is good quality! The shrimp tacos are SO YUMMY! I love the hint of sweetness in whatever the juices are. The fried shimp was super good, not too much breading and nice big shrimps! The hush puppies are DELICIOUS! The popcorn shrimp was eh, good quality but just smaller version of the fried shrimp - so I would recommend the full dinner portion of the fried shrimp given the choice between the two. The fries are soooo nice

So underrated. Easily the best crab legs around and such a good price

Terrible system. Not at all meant for dining in. This would be better suited for someone wanting to order seafood and bring it back to the house. After all of that trouble why not go to an actual restaurant and enjoy your dining experience instead? Wish we had!

The seafood is the freshest in the area in my opinion. The coating is light so you’re buying seafood not breading. Gumbo is off the chain.

This is a seafood paradise! All of the food we ate was super fresh and delicious!

The food is delicious and fresh. Cooked and seasoned to perfection. Decent pricing. The establishment is very casual. Service was quick. The staff was friendly and inviting. I had the crab steamer and my husband had the shrimp and mussel steamer. The steamers were served with sausage, potatoes, and corn on the cob. We also had the smoked fish dip. The chips served with the fish dip were seasoned very good. All of it was yummy! We even went back before heading home to grab some fish dip to take home with us. My only complaint would be that all the drinks were single serve with no refills. They are also a fish market and you can save money with buying in bulk.

The food was amazing! Be aware, this is more of a self service joint. If you don’t mind not having a server or free refills, I would definitely recommend. There are two sides to this establishment. The steamer/market, and the actual diner. It’s a little cheaper than most seafood places on the island. Go early- it fills up quick!

Do yourself a huge favor and Skip the restaurant next door, byob and enjoy the atmosphere 👌

Best snow crab legs & gumbo I’ve ever had! Shared the steamer tray with a 13 year old & he said it was “absolute gasoline” (a very good compliment in teenage slang 😂). I’ll definitely be back. Maybe tomorrow or the next day!

Food was not seasoned enough. I ordered the lobster with shrimp on the side. Portion size is about medium, leaving no leftovers to take back. Also, there are not enough potatoes or sausages with the meal. Left me with a sad food experience. The atmosphere was great & the customer service was great as well.

We went here twice in one week. He isn’t a seafood person and loved the fish tacos. I had a dinner from the restaurant at me night and a steamer bag the second trip. Both were delicious. You won’t be disappointed.

Badly in need of a better system. This is mostly a take out place. There are only a handful of tables. You can order via Doordash or the like for delivery. But, if you are foolish enough to show up in person, expect the line to be endless and to inch along at a glacial pace. Only one person is authorized to touch the one register. They will mess around endlessly before taking the next person's order. Decent seafood. BUT, the ONLY reason they are still in business is their location, right in a stretch of vacation condo rentals. Any reasonably competent competition would put them out of business. I stood in line for 30 minutes to get up to the counter to order, then another 15 minutes standing there trying to order while all the employees ignored me. All the while the line of customers kept getting longer and longer. I don't get it. With reasonable organization, they could sell 3x as much. The website does not show the menu options for the Steamer & Market side. Not worth the wait. Go elsewhere.

Ordered several steamers for a group of 9 people. Picked food up and took it back to the condo. 3 Combo crab legs and shrimp and 1 shrimp steamers, smoked tuna dip, and 2 cold shrimp appetizers were delicious, fresh, convenient and enough to fill us up. (And glad we bought the crab cracker and fork picker since the condo didn't have them). Highly recommend!!!

Food was excellent! They use the right amount of seasoning with a hint of head. This is a great place to get some great streamed seafood!

Two combo plate (Fried calamari, Grilled shrimp, Coleslaw, Fries) is $18.95. Seafood was fresh but too much greasy.

Everything was good but the gumbo was extra delicious 😋

My son has celiac. He specifically asks and tells them and explains it. Girls at the counter says everything is gluten free. Well guess what the sausage is not so they glutened my kid. A sorry does not undo the damage it does. Saying she is new is not an excuse.

We love this place! Everytime we go to Ft Walton, we get gumbo, shrimp & crawfish. It's always delicious. Highly recommend!

One of many great places for seafood in the Destin / Fort Walton area. I had the blackened grouper dinner and my wife had a pick two combo of shrimp and snow crab.

Best crab you can get and decently priced. 5 clusters with corn,potatoes around $35 for a 1 1/2 lbs where as most places are at $45-50 a lb and not nearly as fresh. Always stop here multiple times while staying in FWB

The flavor of the crab was so great! A little hard opening them with the hook thing they give you. Fun experience and yummy! We loved it all.

Staff completely lied to us about the lobster tails. What a joke. Will never recommend or return!

We went to Stewby’s three times while in Ft. Walton. Loved it every time. Affordable priced, friendly staff, great food, and good kid options. Every night our 5 year old asked if we could go to Stewby’s. Check it out!!

Average. I had the crawfish. They were not freshly boiled. They were boiled earlier chilled then steamed. Mine were still cold. Potatoes were only steamed blan. The potatoes only had seasoning on top not cooked with the seafood. Crawfish was still good but expected better.

Just be aware the "steamed" side isn't small meals. I got the shrimp expecting a "basket" type size meal. It was really a low country boil, which was good, but it was enough for 3 or 4 people and came in a foil container you would see on a buffet. I didn't care for the BAY seasoning on the shrimp either. If the person behind the counter would have explained what we were ordering I would have not ordered and gone elsewhere. The fried side of Stewby's had a big line and that's how we ended up on the "steamed" side.

Amazing food. Went for lunch got the grilled grilled shrimp with fries and Cole slaw. Staff was super patient and friendly. I overheard them patiently asking others if they had ever been there before and then explaining the menu to them. I caught them at a time when there was no line and to my my surprise there was soon 15 people or more in line after I ordered. That night for dinner I wanted to try again but the line was insane. Not their fault as it's probably the best seafood place in Ft Walton. I was glad I got to try them when it wasn't so busy. A+ 5 stars would recommend!!

Great food, and you can pick up fish and shrimp to cook at home.

A great place to eat if you ever see one. They might look busy but they are well staffed and the lines moved quickly and even better the food is ready within 8 minutes. Great seafood, the fish dip is good, and well I'd have to say all the food is great except the fried okra I think they don't leave them in the fryer long enough.

A must have every time we visit Destin. Got the family seafood platter for $99 and was enough to feed 4 people ! Skip the other places that over price their seafood . STEWBY'S is where it's at.

Was told how great Stewby's was, but accidently went to Stewby's Seafood Shanty on the left side which features fried everything. Realizing our mistake, next day ate at Stewby's Steamer on the 'right' side and had steamed Grouper prepared right. Highly recommended !!!

I love this place. If you're not paying attention, you'd think this was just a seafood market. It is certainly a market, however, they have lots of hot and dishes that you can eat on site or order for takeout. In my opinion, this is one of the best kept secrets in the the area. For example, you can order a blackened or grilled grouper dinner with potatoes, sausage, and corn for $20! It is always consistent and delicious. Oh, and don't forget your slice of Shanty Pie. Try it once, you'll keep coming back for sure.

Had the crayfish steamer very delicious

We got two royal red shrimp dinners the shrimp was absolutely crucified and it was so hard to get them out of the shell plus it was just a salt bomb 🤮 gross. I will never go back there again, can't even cook shrimp being on the coast what a rip off!!!! Shrimp 🍤 was mushy 🤢

We enjoyed the food here! There are two sides to this restaurant. They have a fried and a steamed side. On the steamed side it's BYOB and really no wait. I'm not sure about the other side. The sausage wasn't tasty! I'm used to Rogerwood or Skinless Eckrich smoked sausage. I recommended this place! We took our food to go, but you can dine in.

We split 1 pounds of shrimp ceviche. So very good. Just enough spice to make it great. Person behind the counter was very helpful and offered free samples to help us decide. We didn't try anything else but it was good enough to visit next time we are in town.

Wife and I had lunch Friday and it was exactly what we like:small, friendly, a great reputation, comfortable and quiet, friendly southern lady at counter was pro, and they have a lot of GREAT FOOD! Loved the chilled Banana pudding, their smoked tuna dip was perfect, grouper sandwich also perfect and got some Stewby's grill seasoning to take home as a bonus! It is wonderful. Thank you, nice lady.

This is a great place to pickup Crab legs and shrimp. There portions are huge easily feed 2 people.

Great service I ate from the fried side. It was great. My wife ate from the steamed side. She didn't enjoy what she ordered. The seafood gumbo was not South La. I personally don't put tomatoes in mine. I will eat from the fried again.

Absolutely delicious! Friendly service. Amazing food. This was right next door to where we stayed. Had this one night, and the Shanty the next. Should have ate here all three nights of our visit.

Oh my gosh!!! To die for!! I had the shrimp roll, my husband had the steamed shrimp and we also had the ceviche (so fresh and yummy). We thought it was so good that we bought an extra to give to our friends. Great quality seafood at reasonable prices. Sierra took our order and was super friendly. Can't wait to go back with friends and family!!

My husband and I ate here on our anniversary trip. He wanted some fresh seafood. We both got the flounder plate. It was so delicious. The food was hot and fresh and it didn’t take them long. One of the staff encouraged us to try the Banana pudding and the key lime pie. They both were amazing. She made sure we were taken care of. We will definitely make a trip back when we are in town again.

Extremely good food, but small portions (reason for 4-star). If you’re looking for something delicious, this place has it. If you’re looking to get filled up, you’re going to have to order multiple things. I got the blackened grouper with potato salad, and shrimp salad with crackers. Both were amazing. Atmosphere was nice, and the facility was clean!

Amazing place- especially the fish! I had the flounder (fried), and the snapper and grouper (grilled). Soooo delicious! Also had collard greens with turkey, green beans (best ever), and cheese grits. I had steamed mahi (dine in) and ceviche shrimp (take out) . Both were excellent.

This was our 5th time eat at Stewby's Steamer. We love it! It is a highlight of our trip to the beach. We love the steamed shrimp dinner.

The shrimp was amazing, just a lot of work since you have to degunk the shrimp and such, but very worth it. Everyone was very nice and food was fast.

Awesome. Food is divided into 2 sections, one for more broiled and blackened and the other for fried foods. Bought food from both sides and was blown away by not only the amount but the quality. Will be back and would highly recommend for anyone looking for great seafood.

Good local stuff except the Alaskan crab.

Our cab driver told us about this place when she picked us up from the airport and I’m glad she did. We got the shrimp sandwich, the fish sandwich with grouper and the calamari dinner. Everything was fantastic. It was light and perfectly seasoned. And the greens were great. The cashier recommended the greens and normally when people say that I’m always disappointed. But they did not disappoint. The price was good and you could tell it was all fresh. Definitely worth a visit!

Amazing low key spot for steamed seafood. Wish we had tried it earlier than last day in Destin. Cheaper than the big name places and delicious. Seafood, potatoes, corn, sausage, butter & Old Bay- what else is there to say?

Civeche is absolutely amazing. (I probably spelled that wrong) the grilled fish is always...always great. Shrimp os also stupid good. If yall don't stop here you will be missing out. In a land of seafood joints on every corner this and the place rite next door stand out above them all. We drive from ohio and this is our first stop before anything else

Crab was delicious! So we’re the sides and the peel and eat shrimp. It wasn’t a bad price either. Definitely one of the best meals we have had while in FWB.

Are you kidding me! Stewby's crab legs steamer was delicious. Without a doubt the best I've ever had, and the portion was very large considering the price. If you are in FWB don't go anywhere else for steamed seafood. My wife and I loved it and we will be going back again before our vacation is over!

Got the steamed dinner for 4. Food was great, crab legs were perfect, lot of food for 4 people. We were not able to eat it all. This place should put old bay steamer out of business, food is so much better than old bay and cheaper

The fresh market is a great place to grab a quick bite to sit down and enjoy or take with you. The shrimp salad is amazing..always just the right amount of old bay seasoning. Delicious!!! They have things that aren't available on the restaurant menu so make sure you check both out before you go!

Decided to give this place a try after reading so many great reviews and it definitely did not disappoint. My boyfriend and I shared the steamed snowcrab dinner. We were able to add a 1/2 pound more crab for a little more food and it did the job! Everything was fresh and cooked perfectly. Loved the potatoes, corn, and sausage. Milo’s sweet tea was a plus. There was a line out the door the entire time, both here and at their sister location, Stewby’s Seafood Shanty. Anyone visiting the area should absolutely try this place out! Amazing food awaits.

Very helpful with all the questions we had, however the shrimps were overly salty!!! Snowcrabs were good.

We started going to Stewby's on Racetrack Road in 2015 and the last few years to the Santa Rosa Boulevard location. We love their seafood, gumbo and just about everything they offer! The Steamer's shrimp ceviche and shrimp roll are amazing, Their steamed dinners are great to have on hand when you're too tired to go anywhere after being at the beach all day. Their Shanty pie is delicious. If an issue comes up with something, just tell them about it and they will make it right. We love Stewby's and appreciate their food and great customer service!

Been going to FWB for years and this past trip we decided to give Stewbys a try. Boy have I missed out all this time. The food is phenomenal and reasonably priced. It’s just a regular restaurant and not gimmicky. Go for the food. You’ll be glad you did.
