Best sand volleyball courts in town.

I am grateful for STL Sandbar on Wed nights...life has many challenges in terms of work, family, friends, and other commitments, and sand vball helps me to appreciate life even more! We always have a blast here and much of my appreciation is due to the friendly staff who are so friendly to all the guests. In particular, Madeline is one of the bartenders that stands out for being so genuine, positive, helpful, and of course funny...she really makes a difference at STL Sandbar. She's very inviting, supportive, takes an interest in all the guests, and knows when I'm in a rush to make my game so does what she keep to keep us "hydrated"! The only complaint I have against Madeline is that I think she served 1 drink to a Cubs fane, but it was probably only 1 time so I'll give her a pass;-)

The weekday volleyball schedules aren’t double headers which suck. Also the schedules aren’t always listed and just are week to week. The courts and facility is great though. Great courts, sand, balls, and nets.

Fun atmosphere, courts are well maintained, and the drinks are cold! I've played in a league here for years now and it keeps getting better.

Sandbar is constantly working on improving player and patron enjoyment. We have been going for rec volleyball for years and they have made improvements to the menu, equipment and seating every year. If you can get a team together it’s a great way to spend a weeknight. The staff work hard behind the bar and the refs actually officiate the games.

Horribly organized playoff lasted close to 6 hours for low rec due to a horrendous lack of organization. Staff is only friendly to regulars and refs are apathetic. They are condescending when questionable calls are made and did not stop play when a player was rolling on the ground in pain. We will be returning to Wave Taco as the staff, refs, and other teams are always so much kinder.

This is hands down the best place in St. Louis to play sand volleyball. The people that run this place are wonderful and they have a great bar area that overlooks the courts.

Staff are not very friendly. Questions are never answered properly and the usual responses are always rude. My friends have had the same experience.

Went with a couple of buddies and had a ton of fun! The ref of the court, Emily, was fair in her calls and had a positive energy. Will definitely be back!

STL Sandbar is my favorite place to play volleyball. Not only do they have 6 courts with white sand they have a full bar! The staff knows you by name and my cup is never empty!

What a fun place to host a party ! Danielle is wonderful to plan with. She makes it easy and doesn’t miss a detail .The staff really was on top if everything too ! Highly recommended!

Danielle and her team at STL Sandbar do an awesome job! The new deck they had installed gives it a fresh look and feel. Also, you can’t go wrong with the Tiki Bar drinks and new food menu!

I have been playing at StL Sandbar for 5 years- and there is no better sand volleyball bar in the city! I’ve played at a few others and this is by far the best! The staff is phenomenal- Madeline is the best bartender, and Danielle (the manager) is so caring, not only to her staff but her customers too! I would recommend checking this place out— you can rent it out for work events, charity events, or even just play in a weekend tournament or league night. Great selection at the bar, and plenty of seating and parking for spectators!!

My friends and I have joined a sand volleyball league which plays here every week. We've only been a few times but have impressed. Lots of seating and it appears there is a bar where you can get drinks afterwards (we haven't explored that yet). There is a place to hose off after your games which is great.

Completely shocked by the way myself and my team have been treated at this establishment. We will never be bringing our team here again. Danielle (the apparent owner) was VERY hostile towards our team for asking a question about a call from the ref - she seemed to be looking for a fight. She actually was not even the ref for our team. She was somehow surprised when I flicked her off for telling our team that “questions aren’t allowed”…. We are on the beginners league. It was the most bizarre experience. We’ve received rude text messages from the staff on multiple occasions when we would let them know if we’d have to forfeit because we don’t have enough players. Then to top it all off - I came to my game straight from work and was starving. They were “sold out” of the only food the sell which is STL kolaches, so I had to door dash food so I didn’t pass out while playing in 98 degree weather. When she saw me bring the food in she then proceeded to tell me outside food wasn’t aloud - after telling me she had no food to sell me.. Needless to say, we will NOT be going back here and will definitely not be referring any more friends.

So much fun! Courts are great. Refs and staff are friendly. Bar has cold drinks. Perfect volleyball.

We've been playing sand volleyball here for close to 15 years now. Great atmosphere, helpful staff while on site and always have fun. The past couple years things have changed some when it comes to league schedules. They used to post the entire 6 week session schedule, now they only post it 1-2 days prior to the game day. So we play Tuesday's but generally speaking don't know the time until Sunday or Monday. That's the only reason I'm not giving 5 stars. I still recommend this place as in my opinion its the best place to play in the area.

Nice sand courts in west county. Snacks and a bar. It's in nice condition and is close to hwy 270 for easy access.

Volleyball. 5 nights a week. There are restrooms and a small bar. But really, this is about volleyball.

Perfect for every level of play but the nets are 2-3 inches too high and the sand is very deep

The best Sand Volleyball venue in town! Great people, music, atmosphere, food and drinks and amazing volleyball players! Leagues, tournaments, draws, this place has fun for everyone! Family Friendly!

It was fun atmosphere watching my daughter's play youth league there. Only wish the stands were tiered so we had a better unobstructed view.

Exercise, sand, cocktails.... close your eyes and you’re almost on the beach.

My favorite place for sand volleyball. Plenty of space for teams to spread out safely. The bar is well stocked and everyone is there for a fun, safe time

I've played volleyball here for 3 years now, and they've done well with adapting to the COVID-19 regulations for us to continue to play. Appropriately price food and drinks (pulled pork nachos are a must have), really friendly staff, and the patio and sand courts are always clean!

My daughter had a sand volleyball clinic there. There were plenty of shaded areas. They had hand sanitizer in multiple locations throughout the venue. We were there for an early session (8:30 - 9:30) so concessions weren't open. I believe that they have 6 courts. It was nice to get out and back at it.

This is a great place for sand volleyball, I know they have leagues there seasonally. One is co-ed, and I'm sure they have other leagues for anyone 😊

I love this place! We have our cornhole tournaments here. OMG the owner and their staff is sooooo friendly and good people. I highly recommend this place for a good time. They also have volleyball!

So much fun watching these teams compete. Great bar with cold beer and Dalies smokehouse food. Big TV's, just alot of fun!
