Hole in the wall kind of restaurant, if you blink you might miss it. This little place has some very tasty food, super quick, fresh and I personally recommend the shrimp plate! The workers there are very friendly and polite.

Excellent food Excellent price!! Been eating there for years. Worth the drive from anywhere in wayne County. Fridays is flounder and shrimp! Don't hesitate you will not be disappointed

One of the best homemade cheeseburgers I've had in a long time. Great fries and onion rings. My husband went back, had to order another cheeseburger, it was so good to him.

Nice meal with attentive server but food was fairly average. Prime Rib was tender but lacking flavor. Spinach dip was just OK. Lobster bisque did not have the splash of sherry that generally "makes it". Tasted as it it had been scorched.

Best BBQ we have ever had. Will be returning as much as possible.

This was my first time eating there and I got the fat boy and it was amazing, and the service was wonderful.

We had a great experience here Friday night. We were a party of 6 celebrating a birthday and everything was just fantastic. Our server (Anne I think) was energetic and attentive. The bartender was on point with our drinks and made an excellent old fashioned! We had dry aged steaks that were prepared perfectly. Really a nice dinner and warm service, will definitely return.

We have never tried this place but the reviews are gteat... its 1130 8 Jun 2019 and they are not open .... the sign says open until 130 hmmmmmm

We love Stonewalls. We go most of the time on a Wednesday to get the BBQ TURKEY ! It’s the best around. On Saturday the BBQ pork is a favorite also. It is a small family atmosphere and simple place. We live in Wilson County and it’s convenient for us to drive over!! It should be featured in the N.C. magazine!!

Fried chicken sandwich was really good. I was hoping for BBQ but they only make it the 2nd and 4th Saturday. Onion rings were frozen, not hand battered, so just okay. Overall a good lunch.

It's small and a quiet place, only open from like 11:15 till around 1:30 ish. On week days. .. I think they open in the evening a couple of hrs too, but not sure. Great staff don't think they fo credit card or debit card. Get there fairly early for lunch because it's small and if enough folks show up it may be hard to find a good seat.

Myself and 6 kids in tow, dropped in because of the reviews. We walked in and the cook hollered "you need to get up here and order cause we close in 10 mins!" As we were placing our order, the cook rolled her eyes at me, then when the cook looked at my order she huffed! Then as she cooks the order my kids said she was talking about us. The food was good, the cashier was sweet, the cook is the reason I will NEVER go back!!

We always pick up food here when guests from out West are in town. They always brag about our "Southern food" We give Stone Walls full credit. Hidden gem, worth finding. The menu is different every day. They are only open during meal time. Call ahead to find out the menu and when they are open.

The food is so delicious home cooked and best prices around. When you cone in to eat and you get great service and a plate full. Tuesday's are awesome something different every week whether it be chicken salad, meatloaf, baked BBQ chicken or so on. Great food, great prices, great service and the best thing is the great smiles.

Try to go every Friday. Great flounder plate, fries, hush puppies & slaw. Very reasonable prices and wait staff ate great. Have heard other meals are equally good but I can't get past the flounder.

This place is just delicious. It's like sitting to eat at your grandma's for Sunday dinner. The menu changes every day and I love the variety, it is very nice. Call ahead, find out what they are having and taking food to go is super easy.

Food here is like you just fixed it yourself at home. So delicious. Could eat everyday here. Love everything they hvae on the menu. You will not be disappointed.

I heard someone at Church speak about the food at Stonewall's this past Sunday and as we are always looking for new-to-us locally owned restaurants, we tried it out. The restaurant is a small unassuming building with two doors, one take-out and one walk-in. When asked what was her favorite thing on the menu, the young lady behind the counter exclaimed that the barbeque chicken was absolutely the best. Her uncle does a great job, she said. We ordered that and the slaw with mashed potatoes. The chicken was the best I have had. The slaw rivals any coleslaw I have ever eaten and the potatoes with gravy were piping hot. We now have a favorite restaurant. It's clean, pleasant, and delicious. The specials change every night. I can't wait until Saturday when they cook a whole hog over wood and chop it up. I hear it's amazing.

Finger licking delicious home cooked food. Full pitcher of Sweet Tea for the table when you order Tea, and you can have refills. We got there and waited until 5:33 pm to go inside ( open Tues -Thurs from 5:30-7pm). People were already waiting in line to order food. Luckily, the cooked to irder food comes out quickly. Very casual- Styrofoam plates and plastic ware. Lunch hours 11- 1:30 Tues- Sat. No credit cards- Cash or Check only. Lady behind counter was super nice and helpful. Really enjoyed this homey diner. Definitely recommended. Note that it is northeast of SJAFB by a few miles. Worth the drive. Essentially at corner of Hood Swamp and Beston, next to a big silo. We'll be back!

I have been enjoying this small grill (that picture is not correct) since I was a little kid. It has always been the place to go around the Hood Swamp area. You wont ever find a better plate of BBQ turkey on Wednesdays or on Saturdays the best BBQ EVER! (And other great specials Tuesday -Saturday) I love how every meal is made with love and served hot. Grandma is always in there making fresh pitchers of sweet tea that is perfect for any day. Ill keep eating here as long as the doors are open.

I've been going to this little hole-in-the-wall family owned grill since before I can remember and it has NEVER disappointed. They have quick, friendly service and absolutely delicious down-home cooking and the BEST burger that will ever meet your lips. Seriously, if your traveling remotely near this place you should stop by for lunch, you won't regret it. Also the prices are veryy reasonable!
