The food was awesome! Hot and delicious! Service was great and quick! Definitely will be going back!

Lights out BBQ. There should be a massive line for what you get. Ordered 1/2 chicken and ribs with collared greens and beans. Everything ordered was spot on, fresh, and hot. Great sauces to go with the meat. Atmosphere is super authentic. Splitting wood in the parking lot, perfect smoke in the air when you get out of the car, blues soundtrack playing inside. Might go back again today.

The service us great and the ribs amazing!!'fell off the bone. Somebody's grandma made that delicious potato salad. Never going to Sonny's again!!

Brisket was excellent, both fatty and lean. Ribs and sausage were very good as well. Not outrageously priced. People need to drive out here.

Went in for lunch today while heading through and the food was great! The pulled pork and brisket were both very good and so were the fries, baked beans, and okra.

We came in and tried summers smokehouse for the first time today. Let me tell you this place is amazing!!! I have never had bbq so good. The employee's were great and polite. It felt very welcoming. Me and my family will be back. If any one wants real bbq come here. This place deserves a 5.0 rating.

Great food! Friendly service! Awesome value! A co-worker and I stopped by to get a late lunch. Shared the sampler and had plenty of take home food. Could have fed an army with all the food we god. Everything was delicious. Get out to the old riverfront, relive some memories, and grab some great BBQ!

I visited during a weekday at noon, and it was still quite busy! My friend ordered the brisket sandwich and absolutely loved it. I had the two-meat combo, which was also very satisfying. The chicken was perfectly smoked and juicy, while the ribs melted in your mouth with every bite. The flavor was outstanding! The sides were equally impressive. Both the coleslaw and potato salad were refreshing and delicious.

My wife and I happened upon this place while traveling through the Tallahassee area and it’s now a must stop when we’re anywhere near it. We definitely recommend this place and advise you bring your eating pants! Lol.

We drove from Sneads (37 miles) and got the four meat sampler to take home. Lucky for us they had fried okra on the board and we ate that on the way home. That was the best okra I have ever had.(sorry mom) There's rest of the sampler was delious. Beans excellent, collards to die for. We are going back every time we want some BBQ. This is by far the best BBQ I have ever had. From the food to the service this place is a 5 star location. They allowed my fiance to bring his service dog and treated us with so much kindness. I would recommend you try this gem!

Went to try bbq today for lunch (Saturday, Memorial Weekend). We were greeted by two friendly workers. Placed our order (3 brisket sandwiches, 1 brisket plate). Everything was hot, fresh & delicious! Servers were super friendly. Picked up a piece of the coconut cake to have later today. Highly recommend — clean, welcoming & good food !

Best ribs in town. The baked beans are very meaty. Lots of meat in every bite. Rivals the best homemade baked beans I’ve had. Customer service matches the quality of the food!!

Absolutely delicious. Our favorite work lunch spot. The people are always friendly, the owner cares about his customers and the food is phenomenal. I think it should be featured on Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives. You will not regret eating here. You can’t beat the prices either. $9 for a pulled pork sandwich, a side, and a drink. BEST DEAL IN TOWN!

Me and my dad checked this place out last weekend for my birthday and it was awesome! The food was great and the service was just as good! The couple of bad reviews on here must be a fluke because everything was great! Will return!

I did not eat there. Although most of those who met with us did, and they enjoyed the food.

My husband and I ate here for dinner while visiting the area for work. The servers were attentive and nice. The food was simply delicious. Portions were huge. We shared the sampler, which is made for 2 people and we have enough leftover for another 2 meals! Everything tasted great. The hushpuppies were to die for! We will definitely return next time we're back in town!

My first visit was for dinner. We sat at the bar and asked the bartender, "what's good on the menu" to which he replied "I think everything is good". As it turns out, Summer is not one person, but the last name of the family that own the restaurant (including the "bartender"). We ordered ribs and pulled pork (they were out of brisket, which is often the case if you don't get there early!) and let me tell you, the "bartender" was right. The ribs were huge, juicy and falling off the bone. The pulled pork was amazing. Best fried okra I've ever had. The portions were enough to share or second meal. We returned several times to try and score some brisket and HOLY COW its no wonder its always sold out. Its slap yo mama good. Summers Smokehouse may be a little out of the way, but the food is out of this world. I don't write reviews. Ever. But this bbq compelled me to!

Ribs were so soft and tender and fell right off the bone! The baked beans were delicious and very flavorful. The French fries remind me of five guys fries without the Cajun seasoning, but still so so delicious. The potato salad was pretty good, could use some more seasoning but if you mix it with the beans, it’s perfect. The sweet tea was not too sweet and the perfect brew. We also got the brisket sandwich, the brisket was a little dry but the flavor was there.

We both ordered the 2 meat combo. The brisket, pulled pork, ribs & smoked chicken were very juicy and moist. All 4 of our meats where smoked to perfection! From the coleslaw, collared greens, meaty beans & garlic bread were all very good! Awesome barbecue! Definitely coming back soon!

Great food, service, and atmosphere.

The ribs are so good!! I chose to order the Sampler, because I knew I didn’t want to cook for a while. Trust me, I purchased the food on 3/23 and I still have food in my refrigerator today on 3/27. That was a lot of food; but worth the investment. I would suggest the Sampler for a family of 2-4 people. I didn’t get to try the Brisket. The hot commodity was sold out! Maybe I’ll have an opportunity to try it next time I visit. I’ll be back in 2 weeks!

Everything a BBQ restaurant should be- folksy, smell of smoke, delicious large portions, very reasonable prices. This is now my go to place for Q.

My wife and I made our first visit on 2/29/24. She had smoked sausage and brisket along with fried okra and meaty beans. I has ribs and pulled pork. My sides were collards, fried okra and meaty beans. Even though they were having a busy lunch crowd our order arrived quickly. The food was authentic home smoked BBQ and sides. It was absolutely the best I have had in years! Mr. Summers (the son) took the time to come by our table to ask about the food and service. I informed him the food was amazing and the staff were all polite and friendly and that we definitely would return with friends and family. I am sorry I didn't take pictures. The food was plentiful and we both had to take food home which is unusual for me. Highly recommend this place.

The BBQ was totally delicious. We found this place by accident. It's really worth getting of Route 10 to come eat some down home good cooking. Don't be fooled by the rustic exterior. Come right in and get a beer and some chow. Owners are Super Nice. I don't give out alot of 5 star reviews.

Driving from Maine we came upon this Smokehouse Gem! Great atmosphere, clean and friendly service. But most importantly, the food ROCKED! Delicious meal and reasonable prices. I am so happy to have found this place. It is family owned and operated, and I was fortunate to have met the family and they were all super nice. The food was amazing with large portions for a very affordable price. I enjoyed the atmosphere and everything about this place. I will be back many times in the future. We decided to try something new and this place was recommended! However, upon entering we received subpar service and felt like a bother to the lady taking our order. She barely welcomed us and had a cold nature. We sat down and waited 5 minutes for our food but the food was questionably cooked and not even hot. The atmosphere was okay, nice lowkey place but nothing to rave about. Given the terrible service and poor quality of food I would probably not come back and stick to 4Rivers.

THIS IS THE PLACE FOR BAR-B-Q HANDS DOWN. The menu is easy, the meat combo's is on pair with price and amount. The sides are fantastic the loaded grits to the meaty beans. Everything taste like it was made on site which it is. The owners are friendly and try to make the time your there worth ever dollor you spend. We came here while travelling. The wood smoke smell from outside was encouraging. The atmosphere is amazing. I arrived after lunch time, so it was pretty quiet, but it's a big space with a stage for live music and pool tables in the back. I ordered the rib plate with loaded cheese grits and cole slaw. The ribs were amazing! Get a few sauces. Both I tried were amazing. I wish I lived closer, because this would become a regular hang out for me.

We're regulars here since the food is amazing and the atmosphere and view is great, but my favorite experience here was for our daughter's birthday. She wanted Thanksgiving Dinner for her special day even though it's in April. Summers was the first place we thought of for a smoked turkey and they did not disappoint. They specially ordered a turkey for her and smoked it to perfection. It was tasty and juicy and we all loved it.

I want to start this review by saying I would absolutely 100% recommend this place to anyone. The wife and I went there for the first time and both had the rib plate. I had coleslaw. She had potato salad, and I have to say, by far the best BBQ I have had in a very long time. Nathan came by and had a conversation with my wife and I, we learned that it is his father, his wife, and himself operating the business. We will be returning with guests in the near future.

Had brisket and Ribs, the Ribs were falling off the bone tender, and the brisket was tender and very moist, great flavor. The baked beans were delicious, and the potato salad was delicious also. I loved the bbq sauce, the peach Habanero pepper sauce was awesome. All homemade by the way. This is a little gem out in the middle of nowhere. Will definitely be going back.

The best BBQ I’ve ever had! So delicious and super quick. You can’t beat the $8 pulled pork sandwich combo. I also got a side of shrimp that was so delicious and so was the ranch. The pulled pork was so tender and the sauce was phenomenal. Fries were simple but some of the best I’ve had. The owners were also super kind. Will be back :)

Pretty much some of the best. Barbecue I've ever had. Some pretty good fried catfish too 🙂 order at the counter and they bring it to your table. Friendly. Good old boy atmosphere. Literally best brisket I've ever had fall apart Tender and great flavor. Not overpowered with seasoning or smoke. As good as it gets ribs also . Wonderful! Potato salad, main taste is fresh, fresh potato. If you want the brisket, get there early 🙂
