My family loves Swartzentruber's Bakery. All the baked goods are so very fresh. Our favorites are the dinner rolls, jalapeno cheddar bread...and the pound cakes (peanut butter, creamsicle,etc)...oh my goodness. They'll cut a cake in 1/2 if you don't want a whole one. And, they sale by the slices as well. There's cookies and so many yummy desserts. There's a plethora of other items, jellys, lotions...such a neat place to visit. Best of all is Ms Loretta. Such a lovely human being. She is so kind. We love her! I suggest if you want to have good food and a fun experience shopping, go see Ms Loretta at Swartzentruber's Bakery!!

We have passed this place for the last twenty years traveling through Georgia to Greenville Sc to see family and finally had enough time to stop. We only wish we had stopped many many times before once we went inside. The variety, the smells, the eye candy, were all just overwhelming. We left with a variety of goodies, but our favorite from the items we purchased were the turnovers. Will definitely stop by from now on.

This is a Menonite bakery. There are so many items to choose from and the aroma of all the selections will entice you to buy more than you planned. The sour dough rolls was all I planned to buy! LOL. 2 bags went out the door with me.

A hidden gem in Abbeville! Don't let the appearance fool you...yes, it is part of someone's home. The food is homemade and terrific and the people that work there are lovely. Worth the trio, worth the stop, worth the sidetrip.

The people are great,I can call ahead and they will save what I want for me to make the hour or so drive to get there.it is well worth it

They have jellies , breads of most types , candies and many different items and much more. MANY , MANY DIFFERENT SELECTIONS OF CAKES , WHOPPIE PIES , BROWNIES and MANY MORE ! THEY ARE THE BEST ! THANKS for ALL THE HARD WORK AND THANKS AGAIN !

AMAZING!!¡ The Best Bakery we have ever been in. Clean, reasonably priced. All bake goods are hand made. Very helpful inside. Saw no more cinnamon rolls. Thet asked if we could wait while they ice fresh ones. We are in LOVE ❤️

I have been coming to Swartzentruber’s for many years. The only disappointment I have ever found there is when they sell all of the coconut cream pies before I get there. They are absolutely delicious. The blackberry pastries rank up at the top, as do the cakes, breads, and everything else in the store. If you are traveling through Abbeville, you must stop here.

This bakery has a wide assortment of cakes,pies, cookies, breads and specialty baked goods in addition to jams, jellies, honey, and homemade peanut butter! We brought home some sourdough bread, turtle cheesecake, lemon cookies, Italian cream cake, and banana chips. Food was delicious and the service was friendly. We will definitely be going back.

Worth the (out of the way) drive to this charming little one-room bakery. We've just found this little hidden gem in Abbeville, SC. Our first purchase was the caramel apple monkey bread (I think), it was just suberb. We bought 2 cherry phyllo turnovers that literally are the best that we've ever had. On our second and latest trip, we bought the cherry phyllo turnovers AGAIN and also tried blackbery. Lastly, we bought the coconut cake which was JUST "so-so". although nice and tender, there was very little flavor (it didn't tase cononut-y at all!). We don't recommend that selection. We'll back again this next weekend.

Great place to stop,I live a little over 2 hours away and I stop in every month I have yet to anything that was not really good ,even the jalapeño picked eggs ,the deserts and the candles are just awesome the smell is incredibly long lasting ,this is a must honey hole

It's only step away from heaven...ive referred many and go whenever I have the money...they are not expensive I just call this treating myself(sshhhh). Please if you read this stop in...just look for the lighthouse....im actually going in a few minutes

Can I give 10 stars?! We tried several slices of cake, brownies, cookies, bread, and shrimp dip. Everything was fantastic!!! The brownie had a lovely crinkle top and a chewy inside. It was not too sweet - loved it! The German chocolate cake might be the best I've ever eaten. It was worth the hour drive.

Everything we have tried has been great. They have a large variety of breads, cakes, and other baked goods. Definitely worth a stop.
