We stopped in to Swirlery after having dinner in the Hourglass District and couldn’t believe how welcoming the staff, and patrons sitting at the bar, were to two first-timers! I instantly felt like we belonged there and made fast friends with Melissa (the owner), Ryan, and Jackson. It ended up being a magical evening, when a prominent community leader stopped in and invited us to participate in a blind wine tasting of two bottles from his personal cellar. It was a night I’ll never forget. Although, we don’t live near Swirlery, we want to be “regulars” for sure and will not hesitate to use Lyft to get us there and back home. Thank you Melissa for making us feel so welcome and for offering such a great place for people to gather and share their love of WINE! Can’t wait to celebrate your upcoming 9YR Anniversary of opening SWIRLERLY!!! It’s the best place in town!!! P.S. We couldn’t leave empty-handed and purchased 10 bottles of “old world” wine, selected by Melissa and her team, to add to our wine collection at home!

Visited for the first time yesterday and it was a very memorable experience. The staff was great and very knowledgeable. The wine selection was amazing.

This establishment is absolutely beautiful. And you can walk in not knowing anybody there, and feel like you're home. Everyone is so kind and welcoming, and the service is great with reasonable prices! If you are looking for somewhere that is classy, chic but still laid back this is definitely the place you want to go.

When you think of the term “wine bar“, what usually comes to mine is a bit of a stuffy, pretentious, well, manicured place. Enjoyable for sure, but not a neighborhood joint. This is an essence a neighborhood bar, but no wine lovers format. Doubles is both a wine store with a wide range of an eclectic options, and a place to hang out have a few glasses and enjoy the company of your fellow neighbors. we came here on a random Saturday, and loved at the moment we walked in. It, as if a friend who loved wine, had bought way too much, and decided to open their own place. They have list of wines by the glass, of course, you can buy a bottle and open it on site, and a small menu of food to go with your wine. We also found a gift for a friend who loves red vermouth. Will definitely be coming back next time with another couple and opening a few bottles to share.

We loved Swirlery!! They have the most amazing wines! My friend is a wine connoisseur and they had a wine from his favorite winery- Stonestreet!! Amy from Wisconsin was the best! We instantly bonded. Such a great personality and she was so open to us and with us. Can’t wait to go back! I hope she’s working!🤞

What a fun place!! So many wines to choose from! They were all delish! We enjoyed our private time with Amy. She is one of the reasons we’ll be back. We bought a few bottles and we’re saving them for the holidays! It’s a special place to us. We just moved here from DC.

I absolutely love this wine bar. The wine selection, beer, service, and staff are amazing. I would definitely come back for their wine tasting and events.

It was my first time here and I love this little gem!! It's like their own, Aimee, says, "this place is like Cheers." I've seen them greet their regulars by name, pour their usual. Everyone that works there engaged with me (which is y I disagree with some reviews that said they were rude). Melissa, Mauricio, and Aimee were all great and lovely folks! They also have wine tasting classes on Tuesdays, and just learned of a book club on the last Wednesdays of a month (still learning more on that). Tonight they had a vegan good truck, Burgers and Booch (which is the food in the photo here), tomorrow they have a live band, and something on a Sunday. It was a lot for a newcomer, but also welcoming. I've made 4 acquaintances as someone recently relocated to FL. I will definitely revisit this place. They have a warm and welcoming atmosphere. I had 3 glasses of wine at 47$, a bit on the pricey side, but YOU GET WHAT YOU PAID FOR, bc it was delicious!!

Server was not friendly or attentive. Wine was nice but $17 per glass was a bit much. Very loud music for such a small space. Would not recommend.

This was my first time at the Swirlery. This Place was AWESOME !!! Aimee Was FANTASTIC! we did a flight of Red wine and she paired the journey we took to our palate So Perfectly. The cheese plate was Excellent!! Would definitely Recommend and are definitely going Back Great Job

Very nice experience for us last Friday. It is a small'ish place with 8 odd tables. There was live music and a relaxed atmosphere. Wines were very good. The guys that work there are very friendly and knowledgeable.

It is a charming cozy Hallmark movie wine shop. Melissa is a fantastic host. I enjoy Tuesday's the wine tastings Tuesday. It’s a must place to go.

Great local wine source with excellent soms

I went here last night with a friend and thoroughly enjoyed it. Bar Staff and owner make you feel very at home. Prices for bottles were great so I drank one and took a second one home. The grilled cheese platter was outstanding as well. They have a great selection, restrooms are clean, and it’s a really cozy place to have a date night or hang with friends. Highly recommended !

Found this place while looking for Wine on google. Had the pleasure of meeting Damian and trying a few of their lovely selections. The place is small yet comfortable, music selection was nice and I enjoyed the purchase of the day.

Small but seating out front, inside and outside with live music. Nice portion size. Good variety of wines. Offers cheese trays as well.

I love Swirlery!! We have been here many a time to do grab a couple glasses and decompress. The parking is just off to the side and in the afternoon it's pretty open. Once inside you can sit at the bar or tables. The bar is made of a tree cut with a polished finish. Really neat. I recommend sitting up there if you can. Specials are on the chalkboard to the right wall of the bar. They carry both wine and beer. Wine list is the more extensive one. Staff here is really nice. Very friendly and makes everyone feel like a welcome local. If you have questions, they're really knowledgeable too!! Try something new! Overall; A++ Love local bars, and a WINE bar is even better! Try out a new thing and find new discoveries!

Swirley is now my FAVORITE wine bar in Orlando. The wines are awesome and VERY affordable. The cheese plate was delicious and filling. Melissa treated us so nicely and made us feel at home. I can't wait to go back!!

Just spent a private wine tasting/birthday celebration with friends and the owner Melissa and it was Ah-Maz-Ing!!!!!!!!!! Melissa went out of her way to make everything perfect and even personalized the wine tasting to our friend’s home country! I can’t rave enough about this place and will definitely be back! This place is amazing! Had a birthday party for my sister there along with a private tasting by Melissa! We were able to decorate the space and Melissa was so helpful the whole day! The wine was also amazing! I would definitely recommend for anyone throwing a party or just hanging out trying some good wine! Her selection is impressive as well!

Finally a place where the people selling wine know their wine, and not only the basic, the one everyone knows wine, nope, wines that they chose themselves off of the beaten path. The place is truly very warm and welcoming (although very small), but once you are in it all feels like you are between friends! Take a visit there just to see, take a drink and get addicted to it. The only downfall? It’s a little pricey, but knowledge has a price.. I just wish it was a little less.

Damien and Melissa are wonderful. Spending time at the Swirlery is akin to hanging out with good friends and listening to great music at home. Excellent wine selection. Always a few tasty craft beers on tap as well.

Easily one of the best wine bars in Orlando. I went with a friend on a Thursday night and we sat at the bar. The vibe is warm and chill. Melissa (the owner and sommelier) treated my friend and I like we were VIPs. Lots of great wine (by the glass or bottle) for a good price, and a delicious cheese plate for pairing. Highly recommended.

Great wine and the best atmosphere.

I first visited this wine bar a little over 2 months ago. It quickly became my favorite spot in Orlando. The wines are expertly selected by the co-owner and Advanced Sommelier, Melissa. There are consistently events going on at this place too, from movie nights to blind tastings. The blind tastings are a tremendous help to anyone aspiring to have a career in wine or pass wine exams. I am just starting to get into wine myself and I feel like every time I visit Swirlery, I learn something new. The thing that really puts this wine bar over the top is that the owners are some of the most genuine, warm, and fun people you will ever meet. Stop what you are doing right now and go visit Swirlery!

Me and my husband enjoyed it there. The atmosphere was nice. The music was smooth. We will definitely be back and bring some of our friends next time.

Great place to enjoy and learn about wine without any pretense. This is a welcoming environment for all and a fantastic place to build knowledge of wine without breaking the bank. The owners and staff go out of their way to bring in the best and most affordable wines for purchase and especially for tastings. Food and music help keep the atmosphere light and interactive. It is a small place, so cozy and conducive to talking and sharing wine.

Great deals on a some well crafted wine offerings by the bottle. Pick a bottle and pay the price marked for either carry out or on-premise dining (same price). Great place to take a date to enjoy a nicer high end bottle of wine without paying a crazy marked-up prices. I also am told by local wine nerds that the owner does a nice blind tasting on Tuesday evenings.

Went for the grilled cheese and wine pairing. A very pleasant surprise. Everyone is knowledgeable. Seems to have a good wine selection. Will definitely return to try things out.

We were on vacation when we stumbled upon this local wine bar. If you are a wine lover, whether you are a local or from out of town, you have to check this place out. The decor is eclectic but artistic with works of a local artist making up the bar area. The selections of wines by the bottle is vast and reasonably priced. Melissa our sommelier was the greatest! Her knowledge of wines was extensive and her hospitality made our experience all the more enjoyable. A great place to kick back and enjoy a good bottle of wine among friends.

A cozy wine bar with a welcoming feel to it and an approachable staff is an accurate description for the Swirley. The wine's are priced anywhere between $8-$15 a glass. The wine bar plays a movie in their seating area (movie is on a projector screen) just a bit away from the bar but even when at the bar you are able to watch the movie (at my time it was Dr. Strange). The bartenders know thier wine and are able to recommend a wine based on one's preferences. There was a specific smell to the place that seemed awkward, however, it either disappeared or my sense of smell was used to it. The beer select is rather limited but you go to a wine bar to drink wine. The parking area at night could use some improvements. All in all it is a great hole in the wall that is not terribly busy and you able to hear each other's conversations.

Cute wine bar! They have a nice selection of wines and a small selection of good beers. They do a blind tasting every Tuesday night, led by a sommelier, which is what we usually go to. It's a great way to learn how to taste wines and expand your palate and knowledge of wines.

The interior is surprisingly modern. Comfortable atmosphere. Nice variety of wines and lovely staff. Definitely not cheap, but that's what you expect when buying nice wine!

A dope little spot not too from the downtown Orlando area. It's got everything. Craft beer, light nosh, and a heck of a selection of juice. My girl and I opted to start with a bottle. We corked it after half and moved onto something else. There was blind tasting going on in the side room, which was cool. Melissa and Damian are super cool hosts. Service with a smile and they cater to what you like. They've got events through2the week for all sorts of tastes, including a movie night on Wednesdays. Check this spot out. Good times.

I stopped by to try a wine flight on St Patrick's Day. I had never been there before and asked for a run-down. They have wines by the glass, wine flights, and bottles available to stay or to go. There was a movie playing and we were given a sample of gourmet popcorn with my flight and his red wine. We were talking about the glitter popcorn all night. I've read about events throughout the week on their Facebook page and I can't wait to come back!

Don't know much about wine... but Melissa walked me thru finding something i fell in love with. Also a good small selection of American craft beers on rotation.

My friend and I were there on a Sunday afternoon so not a large crowd. This was our first visit here and not really sure what to expect. We found the wine choice by glass very limited. We asked about flights and I got the impression this was not something they normally served but the server was able to put together something for us with reds/white (3 good pours) for about the price of one glass of wine. All his suggestions were very good. No food was available the afternoon we visited and not really sure anything is ever available. It would have been nice to have some crackers or cheese to go with all our wine. It appears that they have a very nice selection of wine by the bottle and if you are with a group this would be the way to go.Based on my experience with other local tasting rooms in the Orlando area this would not be my first choice if I was to do this sort of thing again, even though Swirlery is on my side of town.Liked the decor.

This place is a much-needed addition to the neighborhood. The hand-crafted wood and metal interior is quite unique. The Swirlery is small enough to be considered the "Cheers" of the area-- where everybody knows your name. Fantastic wine, awesome events (movie nights and popcorn/wine pairings), and they're open to new ideas. SoDo's newest wine bar is killing it!
