First time customer, wasnt impressed. eating area was dirty, food was mediocre, service was acceptable.

Sat at the order menu for over 5 minutes before they took my order, got to the window and made sure to ask that they had my nacho cheese in the order which was confirmed it was, got back to the office to eat and of course no nacho cheese. This is the second time going through that dive thru and not having a good experience at all.

Had the rudest drive thru person ever. Decided to call in. The manager contacted me and said he was going to send some coupons. Never did.

Says there open till midnight I pulled up because I saw other people in line and someone said "I'll be right with you" and I said ok...... I waited in line for 30 mins and 4 other people behind me. When I drove through to leave none of the lights were on at all. If you are not going to stay open till midnight like Google says maybe you need to revaluate it.

REVIEW TIME: 1:50 pm 8/20/2024 5 STARS all around, Food tasty Drink, tasty Service for my time and experience on point food was done soon as I got to the window, Service time 5 star Food quality yummy, Final experience, Amazing I hope it's like this again when I come no complaints here, I value this at any Food place, Total time in drive threw under 10 minutes perfection coming from taco johns, Now this is only the first time eating here, All time frames and people are different, So good work for the people at the time listed and dated, we will see the next time I go

Very fast and the back is clean

Food is worse then expected. Not horrible but it could always be better. I'd why my wife brings me here.

Pop was warm and no ice so it wasn't going to get cold. The taco were very bland. The nacho tots were the best part of the meal, not only were they hot as well as the nacho sauce.

Visited on a Sunday at about 7pm, did not seem especially busy yet it took 20 minutes to receive my order. When I received my order they forgot to put cheese on the tacos! How is this even possible? I also had stale tortillas and bread, cold potato oles, and a churro that was an unseasoned, grease soaked piece of wood. To top it off there was an errant piece of ice cold chicken in the wrapper with one of my tacos; this is just asking to give someone food poisoning. I tried to call and complain but they will not even answer their phone, it just rings off the hook until you get voicemail. Made a complaint to Taco John's corporate instead. I never thought I'd see a fast food restaurant that is more poorly ran than the Grand Forks Taco Bell, but Taco John's has managed to outdo them. Taco John's corporate, you need to revoke the franchise of your Grand Forks location as the franchisee has spent the last 5 years running it into the ground. I've been eating at Taco Johns for over 30 years but that ends today.

Ordered the new mango shrimp Street tacos, disappointing. Ordered 2 orders of them and all 6 didn't have any mango sauce only lettuce. Oles were old and greasy. Don't know what's going on here, but they can't handle a simple order. Might be a long time before giving them another try. GF needs a good taco place to come into the area to shake things up. JULY 10TH, nothing has improved, friendly service but the food wait was ridiculous. The young man kept looking out the window to look at the line. Maybe work a little faster and the line wouldn't be so long. The chicken griller was OK, the spicy beef was better. The oles weren't fresh, greasy. Might be awhile before I come back again.

You can't have 1 price on the sign and then ring it up higher and say your sign hasn't been updated by $5.

It was my first time in a Taco Johns. Came with the wife who is from Minnesota. Got soft tacos combo and a bean burrito. All were well prepared and seemed freshly made. Cheese Dip and guacamole were really good with the potato'oles. Would definitely come back when in town.

Did TJs just give up since they are the last ones left in town? Got so much attitude in the drive thru when asking about various things. Order my tacos withOUT lettuce and guess what EVERY taco had. Worst customer service around.

Went through drive thru ordered the 2 softshell combo large size with nacho cheese and Tacobravo combo with nacho cheese and a chicken quesadilla. Total came to $32 . Softshells had no meat at all only small amount of cheese and lettuce, didn’t even get the quesadilla and both large potato oles only had enough for maybe a regular size. Should have checked order before leaving drive thru instead of waiting to get home. Very disappointed with the place, this is not the first time this has happened recently. So done with this place

It's really sad to say. We walked in to order summer and stood there waiting to get help but not one employee came to take it ,we had to finally stop and ask a employee if they would please take our order after having them all see us. No one was at the till to help customers. The bean tostada didn't have more than a teaspoon of beans. If you wanted to eat the shell that's what you got. At one time I used to eat there often.😪

Still the best fast food mexican. Better than taco bell or taco del mar. Great for the late night munchies

We drove and hour and 20 minutes just to eat there. My son ordered a beef burrito when we got it was beans and cheese , we went up and showed him the receipt and it said beef burrito ladarrius the cook got mad and yelled at us stating not his fault we don't know what we ordered. Called the store just now talked with the manager on duty and he just said I will talk with him. Did not once apologize for the mess up or the way the staff acted. Very disappointed and will never go back to that one again.

OMG. Order food at drive through have to wait 20 minutes and finally drive away. Called store manager said what is going on told we are short staffed and behind Second time in 2 weeks. Shame on you Taco Johns. Maybe should just close early then instead of making lots people mad

I used to like Taco John's, but after several visits over the last year, I give up. Way too much salt. The competition does it just right.

Ok stop for quick food. Sometimes they are so quick my food is all jumbled but still edible. It's fast food nothing more nothing less.

They are open for breakfast on probably one of the worse weather days of the year. Full, friendly staff as well. Thanks for being there.

Make sure you check all your drive through orders before leaving. 2 times now I have ordered nacho cheese with my order paying 139 plus tax for it and when I get back to work no cheese. So around 3 dollars I have wasted because I trusted that they had everything in bag.

Ordered 4 softshell, waited in drive thur for them. They were all very very cold when I got home. I live 2 miles away. Was disappointed. The potatoes were hot though.

Supposed to close at 11pm on Monday... was there at 10:04pm and they were dark and closed. Maybe publish accurate hours???

The shift manager Miguel really made a positive impact on my experience. He was kind, thorough, and provided me the best experience I’ve had at Taco John’s. If I return, he is the reason.

Always check your order here. This place is horrible at order accuracy. My friends and I make jokes about what you might get and might not get with your order. This last time I ordered a combo meal and an extra taco. Didn't get potato oles.... Classic. Shame on me for not checking the most basic of things I know I'm not driving back to get potato oles. I'm just going to warn everyone else that this store is bad at remembering your potato oles. Or if you order a burrito you might get some chicken tacos. I've had that happen too.

Was there just the other day, and they forgot to include my nacho cheese, which is way overpriced for a small cup of cheese. They also messed up on the burrito that we ordered by using the wrong meat. When I went back to get it corrected, I was ignored at the counter, and they had to remake the burrito 2 more times while I was standing there before they got it correct. This staff needs more training with attention to detail.

The person taking orders got it on the first try and my tacos were huge. Great work!

Like their food but long line in driveway Ate inside today, they brought the tray to table and quick and clean. Forgot our potato oles today but mailing out a coupon to make up for it.

How is it you order, get not even half of what you order, head back, and wait another 15 min in order to get the food. Just embarrassing.

I like TJ's but this one can't seem to get the order correct. Slow service and cold food. Drive thru was backed up into the parking lot sand took forever.

I was the only person in line and you still managed to mess up my order. The receipt clearly says no sour cream, yet you add it anyways. Happens every single time

Just got DoorDash from my husband a little bit ago, I had a steak grilled burrito and a beef soft shell. Whoever made my food put love into it, I swear! That was the best meal I’ve had in a hot minute! Been super busy with work and I needed a break for dinner and not only did I get a break but I got an amazing meal. Thank you guys so much!

Taco meat recipe has definitely been changed For 30 years this was my favorite Now it's tasteless...and I don't crave it anymore.. Do NOT get breakfast selections....completely awful.

Fair prices and good menu selection including chicken tacos. Far better than their competition with the bells.

Tacos are mostly lettuce, which is wilted or pieces of core, and not much meat or cheese. Not even warm meat, tastes more like beans. The newer buildings are not built with customer comfort in mind. Cold hard seating.

Got the wrong order. Staff seemed confused and unprepared.

Went to the taco John's on Tuesday night. Sitting in there waiting for my tacos your employee's talking about how the night crew can't keep up And that sure seemed like they were having a struggle therself keeping up. Then another customer comes in after I order my food already about 10 minutes later orders their food and gets there's right away Well I'm still waiting for mine .

Only one in town. Don't order the 2oz guac. It's only 1oz.

I love that everytime I get food from here it's hot and fresh. Even though I can never eat it all, the boss burrito is my favorite thing to get here. Keep it up Taco John's your doing amazing!

Ordered the super nachos and was very impressed. Also happy with the service. Our card didn't work through drive thru but the employee asked us to come inside and helped us right away there and it went through fine. Looking forward to our next visit!

Continuously getting orders wrong. Ordered a large combo with two nacho cheeses. Had to go back for the nacho cheese. This is also clearly not a large order of potato oles.

Although we heard bad things about their services, we decided to try anyway. Service for Drive-thru was pleasant, Quick & precise. Food was hot, Delicious & prompt! Everything we expect from them as Always!! Thanks Taco John's Staff‼️ We will return.

The cashier was rude. She got furious at me because I didn’t know what window to go to for payment. There was no one at the first window. So, I went to the second window. Customer service slacks in this town. I feel so disrespected.

We had an extensive order for 5 of us and everything was exactly as we ordered it. I was impressed that they had ten staff working (10!) during a Tuesday lunch, while everyone else in town complains about being short staffed. They must be doing something right.

Their food was really good. I got a potato ole and a grilled chicken meat and potato burrito and it took me a couple hours to eat it. It was very filling and satisfying.

They were out of potato oles when I drove thru. Other than that it was good

This Taco John's in GF is a go to when we are there. Not anymore. Taco's just had meat and cheese in them and nothing else. Also out of potato's.

For awhile, any time we went they'd forget the Oles... to the point we'd always wait and check. Lately we either get someone who seems very rushed (to push us to the next window) or someone who seems to be hard to understand and confused. There is one guy there that is AMAZING! He sounds a little like Jack Foreman (from Kids Place Live) and clearly is energetic and happy. Update: Last time we went through the drive thru we got the fun guy (mentioned above) and everything was spot on.

Seriously...how hard is it to provide fast friendly service and prepare 1 menu item correctly???? The lady taking orders in the drive thru was very short and didn't repeat my order back to me and she was very unfriendly! After waiting, I finally got my food which was wrong. I didn't get a receipt or napkins and she didn't ask if I wanted any sauce. I was very much looking forward to my Ole Scrambler, but that went south very fast. It was cold, had no nacho cheese and the oles were obviously cooked in very old grease. I know what the standard is for Taco John's is and this was miles from it. Get it together Taco John's! People are paying good money to eat here. Respect that enough to do your job! Satisfaction in a job well done obviously isn't a motivating factor for the employees at this location. Shame on the GM!

Tonight we arrived at this location at 1045p. We were told through the drive thru to hold on a second, so we waited patiently. At 1101p, someone came out after the lights were turned out and said that they are closing early tonight. We are very disappointed that this was not handled better. It was originally posted that they closed at 12a but they apparently had a small sign on the second speaker that said closing early.

Closed early about 10 pm one night last week.

Clean store, friendly staff, the food was good and we didn't have to wait long.

since the other TJ's in the city have closed this one has become much better. The new building is very nice and the service has improved immensely. EDIT: the service has gone downhill quickly and today I waited in a fairly quiet dining room for 20 full minutes after ordering to get my food. when I notified the man at the counter he said "thats way too long, if you would like to submit a complaint you can"

Temporary hours are in effect, I understand that, but PLEASE remove the "open til 2:30am," off the giant sign out front, and turn off the drive thru. There was a constant line tonight before people started realizing that there was nobody in the store.

Lady at window was not pleasant. I waited for my food for almost half hour with no one else in store or drive through. Not the best experience!

Horrible service . Rude staff at the drive thru . They keep asking ( is that all ) is that all ) very annoying!! Been here 4 times and every time there is an issue . Get it together Taco Johns !

This is the second time I have gotten home with a 5 pack. If you are seeing a family..someone et nothing..do I have to holdup the drive thru to count the tacos? I addressed this issue once with no response

Tasty breakfast scrambler! Just had too man jalapenos on it. But was still delicious.

Needed a quick familiar breakfast before beginning the day. This is my first time visiting the new Taco John’s on Gateway. When I drove up to walk inside, they were certainly not busy. I appreciated the esthetics of the new building. Besides, Taco John’s has always been an easy choice for a quick meal. I ordered the Breakfast Burrito w/ Sausage Combo Meal. I was given a large cup after I ordered. I asked if I could get coffee with the combo meal instead. I was told the coffee machine was broken. BUMMER! I can’t remember the last time I had a soda, as for a soda for breakfast??? Ugh! I found a table to sit and eat. The place was clean. One of the two flatscreen TV’s was on, while the other was off. The Potato Ole’s were a bit salter than I remember, and my breakfast burrito was on the soggy side. I ate, I left. Hoping for a better experience next time. I will be back.

The last two times I've been here they have managed to forget not 1 but several items from my order. I called the last time and was told they would send me a gift card. I never got the gift card. Guess I know not to go back here now.

Their Quesadilla tacos are on point. Friendly workers. Decent return time for my to-go order. They need to plow their sidewalk out front in the winter, it sucks walking thru snow.

Has got my order wrong the last 5 times I've been here. Whether it's drive thru or curbside it's always lettuce on my tacos (I order without). This time I told them because I checked before I left, and I didn't even get any reimbursement. Just some cold, probably leftover CORRECT tacos. Taco bell from now on. Oles aren't worth the careless employees.

Just got a couple of tacos and had like no meat in it, literally half the taco had nothing in it. How easy the job is you shouldn't be doing thag terrible of a job.

The bathrooms smell amazing like cinnamon, the food is fantastic and the portion size is great. Highly recommend

Only Taco John's that has never messed up my order and I go there all the time.

It's ok, not really better than taco bell but definitely a bit more expensive.
