Very high priced for what it is. Tacos are charged per taco at a high rate. Meat is low quality in my opinion. Service was okay, but not super pleasant. Just expensive, for 2 people to get 6 tacos and 2 drinks was over $50! I recommend finding another place to get tacos.

Food took a while but it was so good and definitely worth it!

I'm a cook, and my wife is from Mexico and hands down this is the best Tamale I've ever had in America. Tacos were delicious but the mixo was the best! Pretty pricey compared to my #1 spot but the serving size is definitely up to par with price.. had a hard time finding the place, expected it to be it's own place but was located INSIDE the gas station and there was almost nowhere to stand.. and be ready to order when u finally get spoken to, because the girl behind the counter has ZERO patience for lookers... with that being said I'll be going back just for the Tamales

The food here is hands down the best I have found in Pasco as far as authentic Mexican goes !!! The flavors were incredible ! If your looking for real authentic flavor this is your go to !!!

We got the birria and carnitas tacos. Words can not describe how delicious this food is. So MUCH food for the price! So worth it. Don’t even listen to the other low reviews. With a large variety of different meals to choose from they have any meal to fit whatever or whoever desires. Priced well and the food was amazing puts every other big restaurant in New port richey to shame simply because they cannot compete with this 100% true authentic taste.

Like every Mexican, one looks for food that resembles their town and wow, the food there is delicious, really Mexican food, the service is incredible!! Without a doubt I highly recommend it.

I usually really REALLY like this hidden gem. Quesabirria Tacos, steak tacos, beans and rice, and churros. However, my experience today was a bit uncomfortable. I ordered my food, and asked for a bowl of salsa ($7.00), hold the chips, as I thought i was taking it home, so i wanted to make fresh chips. I kater changed my mind, decided chips now sounds good, so asked them to add the chips back on. $4.50 MORE?? Evn if I already paid $7.00 for a small salsa? So $11.50 for chips and salsa? No, thanks. I asked them to just refund the salsa, maybe next time. That caused a complete shift in how i was treated and I really didn't feel as though they appreciated my nearly $40 for JUST MY LUNCH (with 2 bottles of soda and tip). I ate almostv1 of the 3 tacos and most of the beans and rice when I realized.... it's just not THAT good! I left it sit and excused myself. I'll not return. But, their food is very good, just too expensive to not be treated kindly. This was the first and only time I was made to feel unwelcome here. Hope the next person's experience is vetter than mine. Their portions are VERY large as well. I recommend, just hope they fix their "bedside" manner.

Since it was recommended to me, that's how I checked it. Hidden gem of good gas station food. Birria Taco with the quality of the street stalls in Mexico City. Today I also tried a Taco de cuerito and blew my mind. Some delight. They have a very varied menu. My prejudice against food at gas stations ended. To judge, you must first try. I decided to go to this post because of a message I read on FB. The recommendation they made was so positive that I told myself, tomorrow I'm going to order something, when I saw that they had Birria, and I saw an order that a customer ordered, when I saw it I said, this is authentic. I have already been five times and the quality, quantity and most importantly, the consistency has been the same as the first time. Tomorrow I'll return to try the broth of the day that varies every Saturday. I mean, I'm going to kill the hangover.

Great authentic Mexican street tacos !

This is (hands down) the best Mexican food that I’ve had in the area. Everything is made in house, and the tacos are absolutely delicious. This is one of very few places in this area that makes Mexican food on par with (in this case maybe a little better than) what we were eating in Texas. My wife had enchiladas, and I had a carnitas, a mixto (chorizo and carnitas), and a pastor taco. All of it was stellar, and the house-made sauces (ranging from mild to a very smoky and fairly hot red sauce) were amazing compliments to the food. The guy who runs this place is incredibly polite and made an already great experience that much better. The only downside is the location, but overlook it, plop down in a chair, and have one of the best plates of Mexican food you’re going to find in the Tampa area.

First and foremost, I just want to say that I've been searching for good Mexican food in Florida for years, and Tallahassee was the only place that I knew of that had a decent spot (only went there once due to living in Pasco). El Chapo is inside a gas station, which I already knew was going to be good! The young lady that assisted us, was patient and shared some history about the food we were ordering, which was a plus for me. We ordered a Carne Asada Torta, a couple of Burritos, some Chicken Empanadas, and a Churro. You're getting better quality food for their price point, and a nice sized portion might I add. I'm a big guy, and I was only able to eat half my Torta, and snacked on the other half throughout the day lol. Me and my family thoroughly enjoyed the food, and plan on coming back soon. My only complaint is this, I wish we would've gone earlier in the day to try their tamales and the steak empanadas. Please give this place a try. 💯

I just happen to stop for gas at this shell station and as I walked got hit with the most delicious smells ever! I look over at this little open kitchen and see two ladies cooking Mexican food. I had to order and glad I did cause I have been a customer ever since. The steak chimichanga is my go to and there home made hot sauce and guacamole is a must have. Everything is good and worth the stop if in the area. To me best Mexican food in the area hands down!

This amazing spot is located in a gas station, don’t let the ambiance fool you. I’ve visited Mexico, several times, their Mexican (only cilantro and onions) not American tacos were by far the closest I’ve had since leaving Mexico. Hands down

Don’t let the price or the fact that it’s in a gas station turn you away!! The tacos are 3 times the size of typical Mexican tacos and the flavor of the meats rival any taco you’ll get in Mexico.

The food was, okay! I felt like it was a little over priced for what it was. The taste just wasn’t there for me. The churros I think were raw inside unless it’s a custard (which I was looking for a description, but I found nothing.) I wasn’t sure so I threw them out. which made me sad because I was really looking forward to enjoying them. Probably won’t go again.

The food, with its restaurant-grade quality, especially the tacos and street corn, exceeded expectations. The atmosphere, despite being in a gas station, was surprisingly free from the typical smells associated with such places. While the presence of a volleyball team hosting a car wash fundraiser was a bit annoying, it didn't significantly distract from the overall experience. The only downside was the persistent requests for donations from adults, accompanied by disapproving looks. Despite these minor inconveniences, I'm inclined to return for lunch due to the exceptional food quality. And yes, guilty as charged – I couldn't resist taking a bite of the corn before capturing the photo!

Tacos are surprisingly delicious! There's really no atmosphere because it's in a gas station, but don't pass up buying some tacos when you're there! And be ready to pay for them cuz it adds up quick if you're getting more than one meal!

I have lived in New Port Richey. Their food is amazing. I wish I had known that place three years ago. Now I live in zephyrhills. But I always stop seeing friends in New Port Richey. I'm just overwhelmed. The food is the best i've ever had. I will always drive 38 Minutes to get food from there that's how good it is the owner is amazing. Thank you for being a great owner and a great business.

Got 2 orders of birria tacos and 2 churros. Total came up to about $45. The price of the birria is on the higher side compared to other non-chain restaurants with birria. It comes with 3 tacos per order. They're decently thick and packed with meat but the meat wasn't separated well and there a lot of big chunks of fat. The churros were really good and made fresh. I recommend the churros, crispy outside and soft inside. I'm on the fence about this place, the taste of the birria was good, but the meat just should've been separated with more care so there wouldn't be so many fatty chunks. Other people might like that, so I'd recommend trying it with that in mind.

Their chicken empanadas are SO good! They are huge, stuffed with chicken and cheese! And their Churros are off the hook! Huge with a tasty filling, they are the BEST churros I've ever had!

When you see a random small gas station restaurant like this you know it’s going to be something interesting. The empanadas and especially the tamales here were absolutely amazing, seriously some of the best I’ve had.

Great Authentic tacos, love the chorizo

Tried a chorizo and carnitas taco. Prices were a little high I paid 4.94 for each taco bill came up to 11.68 but it was worth it. Portions were excellent and the flavor was also there. Salsa for the taco was also amazing. Haven't really had tacos that good since Don taco (before they got popular).

Everything about my experience here was Devine! The food and ingredients were so fresh and the portions are huge. So far I've tried the Empanadas, tostadadas, chimichanga, enchiladas and tacos. Let's not forget the delicious Birria. Some of the best I've had. All were excellent.

My little brother took me here. I was sketched out because it's inside a Shell's gas station. We ordered their Pollo empanadas and churros ❤️ It was heaven! Fresh and so yummy. The churros were not stale, and the empanadas were flaky. I'll definitely be back!

First of all this place is a straight up hidden gem. Their birria platter is absolutely amazing and worth it. They are a bit on the pricey side, but that's because they give you good portions. Their tamales are fantastic and two will fill you up guaranteed. It is a little different that they are located in a gas station, but at least it's convenient if you need some drinks that I l Chapo can't supply ...give it a try, you won't regret this place... promise

These tacos are amazing! Highly recommend the Pastor. My only issue is the cost since the tacos are about $4-5 each
