Update 8/31/2024: I used to love this place, but Im beginning to get tired of the kids soliciting and selling chocolates while Im trying to enjoy my meal. Instead, Im being guilt tripped. I wish the establishment would do something about this. Also side note, why are the parents of these kids having them do this type of work? Shame on the parents. Original Rating: 5 stars

The best al pastor tacos in Chicago!

Went their with my girlfriend and food was served very unprofessionally waiter Rosy took our order and then when the food came out only 1 dish came out we waited for the second dish which never came out which we thought maybe it’s taking a bit but it didn’t come out for over 15 minutes after the first plate came out then when my girlfriend did not want to eat there anymore because of the wait .To explain in better detail I ordered my burrito and got it while she sat there for 15 minutes with no food watching me eat we timed it when the food didn’t come out after 5 minutes set a 10 minute timer I basically finished my food while hers never came out .When I told the server to cancel the plate and just charge me for what came out is when they told me the food was coming out the cooks were just laughing and making jokes the server did not bring me my box or check until I called her over again then was trying to convince me to take it to go while my girl was not hungry anymore no one wants to go to a establishment on a date and have just one plate come out when two are ordered and have their date just eat while they wait and nothing arrives to finish it off one of bussers comes and waves the box in front of her face instead of apologizing for the wait to end it the server never comes back to apologize and sends another server with my change to apologize we still paid for what we got to the table but left very upset it wasn’t even busy for that to have happened there were only 4-5 tables and 2 servers on the floor with a busser if they can’t handle that they shouldn’t be in business I’m lucky she’s already my girlfriend if this was a first date there would not be anymore dates after this experience here today.

6:05 PM 08/05/2024 Waitress : Rosie Truly this store deserves no business at all. First time here and personally when you go out to eat with someone or anybody, no matter how many people it is, all the food should come out together ! I waited 20 minutes for my food to come out while my boyfriend’s meal had been brought out in less than 2 minutes. They never came to check on us to make sure if we were good either or needed anything. My boyfriend asked for the food to be canceled and from there they started making my meal even when we didn’t want it anymore. They then didn’t bring the check to us when we asked so we waited an additional 5 minutes then had to ask again for the receipt. Then a different waited, who was a short Hispanic male , came and put the food container in my face rudely. I don’t usually complain about a restaurant, but this one definitely deserved it.

The food is good and always consistent in regards to quality, quantity, and flavors. As busy as they are, service is fast.

Came by as part of Flavors of Albany Park and enjoyed the tacos so much that we came back after the tour to have more. I wasn’t crazy about some of the steak in the asada taco, but the chicken and picadillo tacos were fine.

On Sundays that I have gone, the place is empty, and despite having many waitresses, it takes them a while to prepare the order, but the seasoning is good.

The food was great. I paid with the credit card and asked for a receipt and tipped 20 percent in cash. The waitress took the 20 percent in cash. I’m still sitting at the restaurant and I looked over the receipt and was charged the 20 percent tip on my credit card. There were no signs in the restaurant that stated tip is automatically charged and when I handed over the cash the waitress did not tell me either I already paid the tip. Good thing I was still in the restaurant and asked for my cash tip back.

My food took 50 minutes, I had to eat chips during the 50 minutes and I was late for my mass.

After ordering delivery several times, we went in for the first time tonight and it was even better! You can't go wrong here.

Didn't care for the meat it was chopped so fine seemed like it had no taste n very expensive

I like everything they have, the lomo en salsa de arbol will make you sweat while you happily chew, it is awesome. Any meal with rice and beans is good. Their tacos de lengua are always delicious as well.

It was my first time there, I was not pleased the restaurant was dirty, messy, and just out of order. The food was ok, however I notice how dirty the bottles of the hot sauce were and just made me think, about the kitchen. The waitress have no idea what’s going on. About 6 waiters come to my table to take my order while I was looking at it. They never brought us water. Not coming back.

Excellent food and cervix. Yes, they deliver only from Monday to Friday and depending on the miles they charge you for delivery.

The food is more or less bad that on Sundays they don't answer the phone

I ordered the seafood soup, it came with a bunch of seafood and broth that tasted Devine, the portion was quite big and I will definitely be ordering this a lot, my family also ordered steak tacos ad burritos, and they enjoyed them alot

Just moved into the area. Tried different mexican restaurants by me. Then I tried this restaurant and wow, best food ever. I promise you will not be disappointed. In fact , I would say best mexican food in Chicago. Don't miss out.

The service was extremely slow even though it wasn't that crowded, but the vibe was gentle and the food was some of the best I've ever had.

Excelente! Genuine food, varied menu, and terrific service. Our new go to now that the neighborhood around Garcias has gentrified so brutally. The chiles rellenos are fabulous.

Al pastor was good, but red salsa included with tacos now has the smell of strong alcohol. Trying to save money by using less peppers and replacing it with hard liquor for the spiciness. Green salsa was also more watered down. These money-saving measures for less quality food is a turn off. What else are they cheaping out on?

No hot water and a bad experience over all. Not going back or even take out.

They've only dissapointed once, but they came back. I live nearby, so whenever I have a taste for great Mexican food, this place is it. The server seemed SO lost when taking the order, so ask for your itemized receipts! - they would've have charged us seperate for our drinks, when they were included.- I highly recommend the Bistec de Lomo TORTA, Pambazo de chorizo y papa and of course, their Tacos.

Great authentic food and fast service.

First time dinning in at this place, I had try it twice before but just picking up my food the previews times so I had more time this time and wanted to eat inside, I asked for pambazos and food was ok, but customer service is a different story, I had coffee for drink (small cup of coffe) so I asked for more and waited at least 10 mins and no body came with more coffee, so the person I asked for it was jut there cleaning another table and 2 other waitresses were doing nothing so after my long waiting I asked my companion to leave because we both had finished dinning so wanted to just relax while talking and of course with my cup of coffee so we ended up leaving the place w/o serving me what I asked for and of course not leaving tips because these people didn't earn it!!!!!

I ordered a pambazo and it was very salty. I don't understand how you can serve such a salty dish without realizing it. I ordered a flan and it wasn't fresh. Too old. Last time I bought at this restaurant.

I’ll make the 20-30 min drive just to get these bomb tacos and Mexican food. Go, you won’t regret it!

Top quality, amazing service. I've been going here for years and hope to keep going for years to come. Food is always top notch!

This was my first time trying this place and overall it's quite good. My only criticisms are based on personal preferences. I got the carne asada burrito and it was a good portion of food, but it was a bit "flat" instead of the packed to bursting style I'm used to. As you can see from the photos, there is plenty of meat but the other ingredients barely make themselves known. The red sauce has heat that builds over time, so if you are sensitive to spice it's best to use it sparingly. The yellow/green sauce adds some flavor, but I can't put my finger on what that flavor is supposed to be. All-in-all it was worth trying, but it'll be a while before I go here again. On another note, I know someone that absolutely loves their veggie burritos and gets them quite often (she also suggests mixing the sauces to bring the heat of the red under control).

Antes era buen servicio ahora son pésimos los meseros dan y dan vueltas uno y otro y uno tiene que esperar mucho tiempo por la comida se les olvida alos meseros la orden espero q cuando regrese Allan solucionado todo eso gracias

Get the Burrito dinner, it was amazing

I got a completely wrong order. They took that one away and we waited for them to come back with the correct order but it was when we were done. We were loyal customers and we asked for a refund or something. They were rude and didn't want to have us be there anyway, so they bagged it up and that was it. Wint go back !!

Amazing carne asada and al pastor, best authentic Mexican on the north side. Haven't found a place with better al pastor and asada. The tortillas are made in-house and everything is always cooked perfectly. The staff is very friendly and attentive. I come here as often as I can.

We enjoyed the chile rellenos and the Alambres. Very good size portions and great staff....we still enjoy eating here, food is consistently good. It is great that all the staff asks if everything is good or if you need something (not just your waiter).

We go there every week for chicken tacos. Delicious and friendly staff!

The food is always amazing, salsa is great I would give them 5 stars But the customer service is a 0. I called to make an order, when I asked for my total she proceeded to let me know they were super busy, which I understand, I asked if they accepted cash & card , she hanged up. Please learn to listen to your customers. To top it off once I got there , there was only ONE table eating in. Not busy at all.

I'm kind of surprised how highly rated this restaurant is. There are probably at least 30 Mexican restaurants just in Albany park. The taste was just average and priced more than most of the other restaurants in the area. I'd rather just eat somewhere that tastes better and cheaper.

I ordered a steak torta and it was delicious. The steak was tender and had great flavor. Also, good prices for everything. I will definitely be ordering from here often.

I ordered a torta and a taco from this place through uber eats delivery. Instead they have me only 2 tacos and not my torta. If the torta wasn't available they should call and ask me for a substition. However they rather just cheat me instead then they turn off the delivery service after I complained. What a horrible and greedy establishment. They just don't care about their customers and do them any kind of way.

My husband and I love coming here the food is very delicious and prices are fair. The staff are very welcoming and friendly. I would recommend this place to anyone that like Mexican food it’s worth it!

This is the best potato and chorizo pambazo I have ever had from a restaurant and I've been searching for several years. Portions are generous and they were not joking about the red salsa being spicy! My face is tingling a little because I can't stop eating that red salsa. So worth it.
