Best bartender on the North Woods!

What can I say, Larry really outdid himself. The evening started with the kindest greeting from Larry himself. With one extra added to our party of previously 11, our host was happy to accommodate. We started with fresh out of the oven bread that was exceptional. We then tried the Hungarian mushroom soup which one member of our party said “I would love to be buried in this soup”. The prime rib was the fan favorite as many of us opted for the “king” size. From the local paintings, the stuffed black bear, and beautiful glass windows, the decor enhanced the experience. Will definitely be coming back for years to come.

Some fun/different things on the menu in an iconic North Woods supper club setting. Food was top-notch. The only reason I gave service a 4 was shortage of staff...if you're looking for a hospitality job in the Boulder Junction area, give them a call. Seems like a fun place to work.

I Love coming here when I’m up from down south, but thought it was terrible that spent $84 for my self to eat! They did not offer a salad with my meal that was already $39. I had to pay an extra $6 and it a poor salad. Not even good greens and had nothing but tiny piece of chopped tomatoes and very tiny croutons. I run a supper club and we never charge extra for a salad with a Sat night or any night for that matter dinner. $13 for a dessert. They gave me that to go as I requested and I received a very small corner piece that was hard, I left a $16 tip as our waitress was wonderful. Food was good except for salad and dessert. My friends had a big meal and bill also and no soup was offered with the meal either, and had to pay extra for that too. I don’t understand what is going on there. I’ve never been to a supper club anywhere where you didn’t get your choice of a super salad with a meal? Because of this, I don’t think we will be back if I’m going out to dinner I want my full dinner and I want everything included.

Looking for an amazing view to accompany a first class meal? Then don't pass up Aberdeen! The drinks were devine, Jill recommended the pomegranate martini - and am I glad I listened to her! I'm still dreaming about theCanadian walleye special. Can't wait to enjoy a meal there again.

To start out the night the bartender was not very friendly. Next we were all excited about the meal. We had our minds made up what we were going to eat!!!! I had chosen the prime rib and my wife was going to order the ribs. As far as the loaded potatoe soup. Absolutely wonderful!!!! The waitress also Wonderful!!!!! The prime rib ☹️Tough to cut, chewy!I was not very happy and I’m not one to complain. My wife’s ribs the bottom part of the ribs were good unfortunately the top of the ribs were very very DRY! I tried to soak them in my Au ju which didn’t help either ☹️ I’m just passing this on to the owner. Maybe it was a fluke But we probably won’t be back!

Was told they've been under new man6for a couple of years. Beautiful view. Large bar. Nice menu. Food and service were wonderful.

If Google had a sixth star option, this place would deserve it! Unpretentious amazing food! Started with wine and cocktails, fantastic. Great selection of martinis and house cocktails. Walleye fingers appetizer, pork tenderloin, and drunken walleye were all top notch! Ambiance, setting, service and food were incredible!

A friend wanted me to have a supper club experience. Nice view of the channel and water. I had some Walleye with a wonderful sauce. The bartender Dana had a great personality and was very efficient.

After traveling a tree lined unpaved road, you arrive at this Up North Wisconsin gem. The chefs specials are always good.

The Buffalo Cauliflower was perfectly spiced and myTuna over a bed of Arugula was excellent! Our whole dining experience was the best we've had in ages which in the most part was due to the attentiveness and professionalism of our server, Jill.

Great ambiance! Prompt, friendly, curious wait staff, with special shout out to Erin our waitress. We delighted in our first course of a grilled romaine wedge salad and a cranberry, goat cheese, mandarin orange salad. Main entrees of King cut prime rib-medium; rare and the Chimichurri pork; just excellent! Finished with hot, fresh coffee and 'Cran' Brulee. My date was pretty fantastic too! *(took the walleye finger to-go too)

Reliably good food and service in a beautiful woods/lake setting. The drive back in takes you where you need to go....

Can't recommend this place enough. Nice atmosphere, Jill (our server) was kind and attentive without hovering, and the food was phenomenal. My 7 year old, my wife, and mother-in-law all enjoyed the dill salmon and everyone raved about the green beans (seriously, even though they were a side, they were stellar)! Absolutely go if you're considering it.

Ordered baked walleye, meal came and it was barely warm, walleye was well overcooked, dry and chewy…didn’t have time to complain and get something else. Wife’s dinner was good, the couple we were with also enjoyed their meals. If we return, probably won’t order the walleye again.

Fish fry is delicious, dessert is sumptuous. The staff is very friendly and efficient, and the atmosphere (and views) is Northwoods perfect!

The mushroom soup is very tasty, and the Prime Rib, Shrimp, spaghetti, and meatballs all were very good....we had a very good waitress too.

Surprised at how busy they were on a Wednesday night, waited an hour and a half for a table, but it was well worth it. Enjoyed some drinks on the back porch and watched the sunset and a thunderstorm roll in while we waited. Food was incredible, every one went home happy. Definitely make a reservation (if possible) in advance, but we’ll definitely be back on our next north woods adventure :)

Just met up with old friends for a drink. Did not eat a meal. They did, not sure how it was. Was extremely busy on a Thurs, as are all places in the Northwoods now, so it took a while for waitress to come take their order but that likely wasn't her fault. She was doing the best she could with having tables to wait on in dining area and also ours at a bar area table. People were having a good time, it seems and didn't seem to mind waiting.

Waitress was slow and forgetful. Drinks empty, dirty plates and did not bring condiments even after asking. Manager was good. Was able to get us seated before they closed. Beautiful restaurant.

Amazing food...all out wonderful experience!

$100 meal, and it was not a memorable meal. Average food, I think the cook came to serve my meal with a trucker hat on. Ignored on the latter part of our meal and had to ask for the bill. Will not return.

Wonderful experience! Some of the best food I've had in Wisconsin! We started with the shrimp Nachos, which were great! Perfect distribution of toppings and the slight sweetness really added another layer. The shrimp corn chowder was tasty with a nice depth to it. The walleye fingers had a nice flavor and great crunch. This is one of my favorite places to eat and I look forward to my next visit!

Filet is always excellent, and the cheesecurds are absolutely perfect! One of our favorite spots up north!

Aberdeen Restaurant is the perfect place for a delicious family dinner in the Northwoods. From the moment we turned down the beautiful wooded road that led us to Aberdeen Restaurant, we knew we stumbled upon something special. We loved the ambiance in the log cabin restaurant with wonderful waterfront views. We really enjoyed the Hungarian mushroom soup and the amazing Pork Tenderloin was the most delicious meal I have ever had in the Northwoods. Our server was friendly and helpful with the menu. We look forward to dinning again at Aberdeen! Thank you to the hard working staff for making our experience so memorable.

Food was good, service was really slow, 2.5hrs for a meal. The location is really unique and is an experience.

Was told 20 minutes for a table for 2, after an hour I checked back in and was told it would be another 30 minutes. Ended up being seated in the back porch. Food was just ok and drinks pours were super heavy.

Check wasn't right...And a bit pricey. Knew that before hand thought.

The Aberdeen under Larry and his staff exudes northwoods charm. The pride of ownership is extremely apparent and the service, food, and cleanliness are all top notch. LOVE this place.

Took our friends who were visiting the Northwoods for the first time and the whole experience was amazing! Service and food was excellent. Atmosphere is the best. The bread pudding dessert was incredible!

We made reservations for a large group for my birthday. The staff had our table ready when we arrived 20 minutes early and seated us immediately. We all had aps and several rounds of drinks. The food was outstanding. The dill salmon was amazing. My husband had the grilled shrimp and said they were grilled to perfection. The staff was nice enough, very busy so not overly attentive and nice, but nice enough. We would go back for sure.

2023 New Years Eve Dinner A restaurant that has a wonderful ambience and that norther woods appeal. The greeting as we walked through the door to the bartender to waitstaff was very welcoming and accommodating. The dinner options had variety but unfortunately the “beef” didn’t meet a top restaurant standard.

Go in for the shrimp nachos and the prime rib on Saturday! Phenomenal food. Get your reservation ahead of time, and get in early. Bar atmosphere was great. The new owner was present and very accommodating. Would definitely recommend sitting by the bear

Service and atmosphere were great!

The restaurant is very welcoming with medium lighting and beautifully mainained knotty pine walls. Parking is a bit hodgepodge; so grab a spot when you get somewhat close to the entrance. Jill provided exceptional service. They always have Hungarian soup on the menu and it's a great starter. My grandson and I tried the smoked chicken and rice soup. It was thick and flavorful. We would definitely order it again. My husband ordered the Saturday night special prime rib. It honestly wea just OK. Nor as flavorful as some others we've had and it didn't melt in the mouth like prime should. His baked potato and green beans were good. I had the Spanish Pork. Perfectly cooked and seasoned pork tenderloin over Spanish rice and topped with a jalepeno cream sauce had the perfect blend of flavors. The other 3 at the table had the walleye special which was two blackened fillets covered with a creamy spinach sauce served with wild rice. All three loved it and I admit I stole a bite off my grandson's plate and it was delicious. We ended the meal sharing two orders of the bread pudding. My advice is to save a little room and try it yourself!

It was our first time going here in the few years we lived up here, and I would go back in a heartbeat. Every place we tried on a busy Saturday was booked up and we called Aberdeen and there was no reservation needed- and walk ins are first come first served. It wasn't too busy where we arrived and we got seated right away. Kali was our server and did a phenomenal job. Our drinks were made well, salad was great, and prime rib was to die for with the tasty auju sauce. To top it off, we ordered the cran-brulee which was excellent and gone within minutes. Kudos to the owner for keeping such a clean restaurant and bar! When every place is booked up in the busy summer, you know how to attract a crowd and new customers. Thank you for being open and available. I highly recommend Aberdeen for any type of occasion and for all ages!

I had the Walleye Pontchartrain with green beans. It was so good i could have had another plate of it.

You better get used to the wait because that's how good it is. The owner and staff are outstanding.

Excellent food, service and hospitality

Service was great, food was delicious! The pace of service was spot on. My husband got the Ahi Tuna and loved it. I got the Spanish Pork, excellent! Prices are reasonable and would absolutely go back again!!

Really enjoyed this restaurant... the baked walleye dinner was delicious as was the Hungarian mushroom soup. Prices were reasonable and staff friendly. Would have given 5 stars, but the kitchen was slow in getting our orders out at the same time.

Proper old fashioned and fish fry with great service. The onion straws hit the spot as an app and my 1/2 lbs of perch fry was meaty, breaded and fried perfect.

Food and drink were very good. Social distancing was fair. I will return. A follow up visit, I got a bad pc of Tuna. This was the first negative experience I've had here. How the help works with a negative to save the event was impressive. I was very satisfied at the end of the night.

Service and server attitude were not welcoming. We did not stay long.

I love the log building, the lake view, the real fireplace that always has logs burning and the wide variety of items on the menu. The prime rib on Saturday nights is also good. I've been here a few times now and will go back.

Log Cabin restaurant on the water, beautiful grounds and super woodsy feel. We had a party of 10. Very fresh salads, walleye, smoked whitefish dip, hot bread, excellent steak, fried cheese curds and fried cod. I highly recommend this establishment.
