What a cozy place! Honestly one of the best cafes to get a sandwich for under $10! Coffee is delicious and they offer many flavors. Local art & jewelry sold here too.

I’m from out of town and my friends brought me to this coffee shop and i fell in love. The owner is the sweetest thing and the coffee and banana muffin i had were so good. Cozy little shop - with reasonable prices and great staff- def going back once i visit again.

Fantastic service and food. I came here for a quick bite for a work trip. The cashier who took my order was so sweet. Everything is fresh and made to order, came out nice and hot. Restaurant is super clean & next to a convenient parking lot. I got an extra toasted BEG on bagel. Would have liked to get a printed receipt so I can expense the food but Would definitely come back regardless if I’m back in Windsor :)

We stopped in the Bean this morning and were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the coffee. It was so delicious that we actually stayed for 2 coffees. The vibe is very open and friendly. We met Mel the manger/owner? She was incredibly sweet, generous, and friendly. As we are unfortunately in town for the funeral of my husband's mother, her friendliness was much appreciated. The Bean is definitely worth a visit!

Friendly and quick service with a lovely atmosphere. Got two medium matcha lattes with 2 cream cheese bagels for $18! Great pricing, super happy with the value. Whether you grab a seat inside the lounge area, or head outside and sit at a picnic bench, it's a cozy and comfortable area with plenty of people watching to do. Withing walking distance of a few local attractions and other stores. Would absolutely recommend to anyone on the fence.

They have a large selection of coffee drinks and flavorings. Prices are good relative to other coffee shops and they’re fast too!

The donuts are always good and the iced coffees are perfect

I grew up in Windsor. Have been gone for approximately 40 years since moving to Florida. While visiting family, I went here for some coffee and to do some work. A very quaint New England coffee shop. I highly recommend it, and I will definitely visit it again in future.

Starbucks eat your heart out! The chicken bacon club on ciabatta (don't forget cheese) is to die for.

This was my second visit here at the Bean and I am much more impressed this time! I saw on my way in they had a drink special called the “fauxjito” and immediately ordered it. The drink was incredibly freaking and had a great hint of coconut. It was not too sweet and not too bitter, just right! My partner ordered an iced caramel macchiato with a hazelnut flavorshot and was also impressed by it. Will definitely keep coming here! They also had Savelli’s Hot Dogs right outside of it today which was also great! We enjoyed hot dogs and refreshing drinks on a great day. Good location we had no trouble parking. Very walkable area

Grabbed a quick snack here with my boys. My son had the eggplant turnover and orange juice. I had the spicy squash and iced coffee. The staff were great. Outdoor seating was available. The food is very affordable and delicious! My boys and I always visit whenever we are in the area.

Stopped in for a latte while visiting from out of town. Delicious latte, friendly service - will definitely be back when I'm back in town.

Love going to The Bean! The honey drizzle on bagel sandwiches is superb! Love their seasonal drinks and honestly everything I've ever gotten from there. Dog-Friendly patio is a nice touch too. UPDATE: Adding to say that The Bean is my favorite coffee shop in the whole area! I always recommend it and always go there with friends. Service is excellent and I've never ordered something that wasn't delicious! Their "Chai By the Fire" drink literally brought me to tears with how good it is! 🥰 And the people are so kind. I mentioned once that I lost my voice from a long sickness and Mel rushed to my car before I left to give me some ginger snd lemon tea to drink at home. 😭 So sweet! 🥺

We were visiting the area and looking for a good coffee shop and we found the best.

Two sandwiches. Both very basic. No seasoning. Ham is not a substitute for seasoning nor is grain bread or sourdough. Both sandwiches needed a spread (mayo, butter, or an aioli perhaps). The place is quaint and friendly. There was a mildew scent in the air mixed with coffee that really made it difficult to sit and enjoy your food.

Awesome and friendly service! Amazing coffee

The local spot for sure. I walked up to the bean and was greeted by 5-6 guys drinking coffee outside. They were very friendly. Walked in and was immediately greeted. I ordered a chai and a breakfast sandwich. Both great. The drink was made fast and the breakfast sandwich a minute or so behind. There was lively conversation from a variety of people young and old and people popping in and out for their orders. Great place.

Coffee! Breakfast! Gifts! Food = top notch! Beverages = amazing! And always new bevs to try. Gifts: Handmade, local artisan goods (pottery, jewelry, cards, hats, etc) These people are so kind & are really making the effort to bring community to Winsdsor. Can't say enough about how great this spot is!

Good coffee and quick service if youre in a hurry. Popular place but still has open seats to enjoy your warm buttered muffins or any of their varied pastries. Serves breakfast and lunch menu as well. Homey atmosphere, not too loud to read a book or get some laptop work done. Choice of low tables or high bar stools seats. My coffee and muffin came to me in about two minutes

I love having this coffee shop right around the corner from my office! The coffee and croissants are so delicious! It’s always decorated nice for the holidays with lots of cool hand made gifts for sale! The owners are delightful people who throw great events for the community and support other local small businesses!! ❤️

The barista Melissa used to make my white espresso at Starbucks and she was always so kind when I saw her working at the bean she was sweet and said hello. The espresso was amazing 20x better than Starbucks! Def recommend to all!!!

The Bean 226 is definitely a five star establishment. I haven’t been able to find really good coffee in the area until this morning! my hotel recommended “The Bean 226” I called before I got there, and I was greeted warmly. I was asked how I generally liked my coffee, If I wanted more of the coffee, taste, or less. They really cared And wanted me to like what I was buying from their establishment. My coffee was ready when I got there and I was greeted by my name. I ended up with a large hot coffee and because of the season she added snickerdoodle and cinnamon. It was absolutely amazing and I feel awake and ready for my day. I would definitely recommend this coffee shop for the atmosphere the amazing employees and the terrific coffee!!!!!!

Charming, delicious, and the baristas and servers were kind, great menu. I think the hour we were there was crowded, and the door was open so the metal seats were cold, so it was not what I would call cozy.

Coffee and atmosphere great, but don’t come here for the food. Coffee: got a medium French vanilla, 1 and 1, and it was great, tasted like hot cocoa. Food: ordered chicken bacon club, lettuce, tomato, mayo, onion. Opened the tin foil and thought it was just bread. No lettuce, tomato, mayo. All the toppings in the middle, most bites were just bread. I’d come back for coffee and atmosphere but the food was a big letdown.

Super cute inside and out, with plenty of outdoor seating out front. I loved the various fall drinks I tried, which weren't limited to pumpkin spice like most places. Great baked goods and breakfast sandwiches too!

A bit perplexed why this place has such a great rating. Yes, the staff are very friendly but I found the coffee to be average and the bacon, egg, and cheese was near horrible. Chopped up bits of burnt scraps, mixed with microwaved eggs.

Today is Thursday, October 26 and I have just finished one of the best sandwiches. I’ve tasted in 10 years. Actually to be honest this is the second one I’ve had in a week so technically is the best sandwich I’ve had in 10 years and one week lol. the service was excellent. I had the bacon egg and cheese with chicken on a croissant, a little mayo, salt, and pepper and onions. Try it.

Always stop here when I am passing through. A fantastic coffee shop with great interesting food and a wonderful staff.

Atmosphere was great. Coffee tasted like any other coffee you can make at home. Food was all microwaved food, took 3 bites and made me sick.

This place is so cute and delicious! Their bagels come from NY and they are soft on the inside with a little crunch on the outside. My husband had a lox bagel and he loved it. Their coffee has great flavor, I got the Fall Harvest and my husband got the Fluffy. Both solid!

This place is awesome. I went here every morning while I was in town working. The fluffy is a super unique, delicious, and creamy iced espresso drink that I now love. They ask you if you want your muffin warmed and buttered! Prices are reasonable and all the staff were very friendly and welcoming. Don’t pass this gem up.

Caramel macchiato was really good. The food was delicious, filling,but also felt very light.

My family and I always try to hit up a new coffee shop whenever we go anywhere so we stopped here on the way to the beach, let me just say this place will not disappoint. The people are top notch right along with the coffee! We will be back!

The food is good but do I have to be white to get my order made correctly. They added bacon to my sandwich which I didn’t ask for and i was waiting for almost 30 minutes and still no answer to when my food was going to be remade the lady gave me a attitude as if I wanted to wait a hour while everyone else received my food and I didn’t

Amazing coffee. Traveling the US and this coffee was top tier. Their Dirty Chai latte was better than any other. So far we've had the dirty chai, mocha, cappuccino, regular coffee, pies and donuts and they've all been sincerely some of the best I've had!

Coffee was good, vibe is great, service on point, SCONE WAS A BUST so disappointed.. I pictured it. Tasted like a plain bagel with a hint of blueberry.. def worst scone I’ve ever had. I hate to leave this review and would try again, but for my first try and after a failed visit at Dunkin’ I give up. I would come here to do schoolwork and relax. It’s at a nice location and the staff was friendly, but what happened with the sconeeee who makes them?! Update: they contacted me right away and reimbursed me for my scone without me asking. That was nice of them. Bumped to ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ for service recovery ❤️‍🩹. They let me know their scones are England style meant to dip in your coffee.. noted.

Love this place! Always come here whenever I am in town visiting family, inside and outside are very inviting atmosphere in a lovely area/ many places to sit and sip coffee/ read/ work. Coffee is great with many different flavors and at a reasonable price. Sandwiches are great and donuts always look fresh! Staff is very friendly :) 100% recommend!

Really Good Coffee & Customer Service

Very welcoming staff with a big smile. I stayed there to work because I had a lunch meeting nearby. After my meeting I went back and continue to work. The cafe closes at 3:00 PM, but they let me borrow an extension cord and let me use their outside electric outlet until I was done with work around 06:00 PM. Great energy there.

The Bean @226 is absolutely the place that you want to be. Everything about this coffee shop puts a smile on my face. Back when we were house hunting in 2018, we knew that we wanted to live in Windsor, CT because of the beauty in the center of town, a core part of which was the quintessential downtown coffee shop that feels like home-away from home. I'm happy to say that I live in Windsor and go to The Bean @226 at least once a week to get my coffee fix and to just absorb the culture of this small and diverse town. The owner always has a smile, good energy, and kind words for all guests. And you know that the vibe is right because there's a water dish outside for dogs and benches for anyone to relax and socialize under the shade on a wide sidewalk. When you stop in, yourself whatever coffee or tea makes you happy, buy yourself a crystal, and get a card to send to your mom. Just enjoy your day by taking 20 minutes at The Bean @226. A suggestion: Ask for a “Fluffy." It's a cold puffed espresso drink. I like one pump of lavender and two pumps of vanilla. Enjoy.

Not bad for a local coffee shop. Got an Iced Mocha that was good. Not the best I've had but I would get it again. Some of the pastries looked like they were store bought though and I opted not to get any.

There are seating options both inside and outside. The bumblebee latte was SO good! I've also had a plain oatmilk latte a few times--always perfect. I really love coming here.

Friendly staff. Nice atmosphere, there are also benches and tables outside perfect for summer weather. I'm not a big coffee drinker, but I had a iced French vanilla latte and a cherry lemonade that I enjoyed. They have a good selection with non caffeine drinks.
