I was in the area and visited for the 1st time..Very nice space. Service was awesome and friendly. I ordered a blondie which was great 👍🏾 and a banana nut muffin that was super delicious.

Good coffee! Nice little shop. Didn't order any food but it looked good.

Excellent latte (breve). Cold brew and many specialty coffee options. Large food menu as well. Service was prompt, everything was well prepared. Small patio out front with lots of sitting rooms and nooks throughout what was an old house. Would definitely recommend.

We had a quick coffee break just before they closed. No food, so I didn't check anything on food.

Terrible. They make you pay to use the WiFi, then the WiFi doesn’t even work. Or, the close whenever they feel like it. Honestly just go to cups.

While in town I was passing through looking for vegan breakfast options and I came across The Bean. The cashier ( nice tall blonde lady) was nice professional and she REMEMBERED my order from my initial visit Pros : GREAT customer service Fresh food nice atmosphere descent price Cons : portion size isn’t big enough ( my opinion) Not enough vegan / plant based options

This location was home to a long-standing coffee shop with good history in the area so I was really happy to see it updated and brought back to life (in my opinion). This is one of my favorite spots in the Jackson area.

Great stop if your are in Fondren and need coffee. Wraps are amazing!!!! Staff is top tier

This is 100% my favorite coffee spot in Mississippi. I’m not a big coffee drinker, so I usually stick with an iced chai tea latte, and they make THE BEST one I’ve ever had. I work remotely, so occasionally I work from The Bean, and I usually order 2-3 chai lattes when I’m working there. (I’m truly obsessed with them) Plus their brunch/breakfast options are so good! The staff is always so friendly, too! Whenever someone asks for a local coffee spot, I always recommend them!

Love this place and atmosphere. Perfect place to get some needed work done. I love the coffee and the customer service is excellent. Can't wait to get my window seat next weekend. :)

Great cup of coffee and friendly service

Neat alternative to Starbucks, but it's kinda small. I find coffee shop environments weird anyway.....everyone is nose deep in their electronic devices, and no conversations are happening between strangers. Coffee is good, though. Try it or not whatever. I think it is close to a teaching hospital, so yeah, these future docs need caffeine to study.

I hadn't been to The Bean since the ownership changed but I finally got the chance to go today and was blown away! The service was incredible (everyone was beyond nice), the prices are extremely fair, and we received our food in lightening speed (seriously no more than 5 minutes MAXIMUM after placing our order). I will definitely be back!!!

I’m no coffee connoisseur but stumbled across this shop for my usual mocha frappe. It was good, but maybe not for $6 for a 16oz. I figure that’s standard for the Fondren area. It had a really cute atmosphere!

Fast, awesome service and great latte. Was able to order at the outside window. Was offered pup cups for my dogs! Thanks for the awesome experience.

Stopped by for a quick cup of coffee and a sweet treat! Everyone was extremely friendly, great service and good cup of coffee. I enjoyed my visit and will be back.

I bought a giant chocolate muffin, a blueberry scone and a black coffee none of which was cheap. The coffee was fine, but the baked items tasted dry like they’d been sitting in the case for a week! My husband got a blueberry lemon pancake that was like all lemon; it came with a hotel package of syrup. Pretty disappointing bc the place is so cute.

This place is great! The chai latte tasted fresh and had flavor. My breakfast burrito was yummy. I like the building and it was clean. My only complaint is the prices are too high. What I listed above came up to about $15. I know the cost of those ingredients aren't THAT high. If prices came down a bit, regulars may be tempted to spend more.

guys this place is life changing. my friends and i talk about this place all the time and wish we weren’t 8+ hours away from it. 11/10 would fly to jackson just to order coffee and an m&m cookie here again

This was my first visit; I enjoyed it and the Coco Mocha Frappe. They have a large indoor space with plenty of rooms for working or just enjoying your beverage selections. There is also a front patio area and a backyard. Thoughtful setup!

OMG!!! The food is great!!! My chai tea was PERFECTION!!! I wasn’t mad about the prices. Definitely standard coffee shop prices. The vibe is really nice. It was clean and the staff was nice and well put together. 10/10! Would definitely recommend

Frappes weren't sweet at all and super small for the price. Tasted like straight Expresso. Grilled Cheese was okay. Pastries are delicious!

the BEST breakfast in town! I find myself craving their brunch pancakes every weekend. The staff is so kind and helpful. The set up is great to meet friends for lunch or study. The porch is a good spot to bring your pups and grab a beer. Hope you make time to check this place out!

Service was good and fast. I had asked for juice and they only had oranje juioce and tea. Would have been nice to have more of a variety on the juices. Cocktail I had gotten was nice and very tasty, a little on the overpriced size. I had asked one gentleman to raise the temperature in the room a little because it was freezing. Unbearable to the point that I had to go outside.

We enjoyed breakfast at the Bean on the front porch. I had their homemade granola on yogurt. My wife had hers on oatmeal. And my daughter had bacon and home fries. We all enjoyed our food and experience at the Bean.

Great coffee shop! Multiple rooms lend to quiet spaces for work or studying. I went early one morning, they do host live music some evening. Coffee menu is big and they also offer food and adult beverages. They offer free Wi-Fi to patrons as well. It’s my go-to place to work when I want a break from the home office.

I thoroughly enjoy The Bean! The coffee and food are incredible. The peanut butter pie, the grown up grilled cheese for lunch, and the breakfast sammy on Saturday brunch are all insanely good. But it's the staff that makes it for me. Peyton, Meg, Sal, Maddie, Kali, Bethany, Anna, Mary Grace - all of them - are so welcoming, kind, and always creating an inviting atmosphere for the customers. Thankful for this place!

I visited this establishment while attending a conference nearby. I highly recommend the hazelnut latte and the breakfast burrito. They were so yummy! I also loved the decor and the cozy atmosphere. If I lived in the Jackson area, I could see myself coming in here to work in one of the little cubby spaces. I'll be back the next time I come to Jackson!

We entered the establishment with no greeting from any crew members . We asked to speak with manger regarding business and she stated that she was too busy to talk and turned around. When finally talking with the manger she was very rude, dismissive, and acted as she could not help with anything. All the employees were dismissive to the party I was with and was saying smart remarks behind the counter. I will not be back and do not recommend if you’re in the area.

Our second time here, even though we’re not from around here cause it’s SO GOOD! For being a coffee shop, the food is excellent. Their lattes and basic coffee is great too, mostly love the atmosphere, though it can be pretty tight in most seating areas.

On 1/12/21 around 8:15 AM, I entered your establishment to use one of the study rooms for a job interview. As a corporate professional, and new resident to Jackson, your establishment has always provided me with the coffee fix and positive energy I need to jumpstart my mornings. I am a regular there. Unfortunately on this morning I couldn't order my typical breakfast bowl and coffee due a religious fast. But I wanted hot water to help soothe my nerves for my upcoming interview which was roughly 20 minutes later. When I asked the young lady at the register for hot water, she replied "we don't sell hot water". I then asked her for the wifi password (I'm aware that it changes frequently), she replied "the wifi password is on the receipt". Every time I come to your shop, she is the only barista/register clerk that provides horrible customer service. This exchange ended with me paying $4.36 for a cup of hot water so that I could get the wifi password for my interview that was 20 minutes later...at a coffee shop. Thankfully I'd brought my wallet as I hadn't intended to purchase anything until my fast was over. I've come to The Bean almost every day for months now. I ask for the wifi password. The baristas are always happy to provide it to me. Usually at some point during my visit I order my usual breakfast bowl and coffee. The young lady I encountered on this day was rude. As a fellow business owner, I felt it important to inform you about one of your employees' lack of customer service. I did not get her name but she worked the registered on the morning of 1/12/21 and had long blonde hair.

The Bean has great ownership and management. Both the food and coffee are more than worth your time. The environment is always clean and curated for your comfort. I highly recommend The Bean!

Friendly service, the ambience is very peaceful and relaxing. There is plenty of room to hangout. I got a cold brew with sugar free carmel and oat milk and it was delicious!!

I found this place on Google looking for coffee shops. It is really good, and the breakfast wrap is everything.

The coffee is good. The atmosphere is pleasant, including the outside seating. Nonetheless, I thought it odd when our food was delivered to the table with one side next to the wrong entree and so on. Our waitress explained that the items are not printed in order, all coming out in one long garbled list. What if I had a food allergy? (And maybe you do.) It’s something to think about.

Great little place to get coffee, breakfast or brunch. Will definitely try lunch next time...home ground coffee from Mississippi, and great hot tea (one of my favorites)! Breakfast wrap and sausage, egg and cheese biscuit were awesome, not frozen or pre-packaged! Worth the money for sure!

Wonderful coffee shop and Cafe in Fondren! This place is perfect for a quick cup of coffee to go or a lingering catch up with friends over brunch (with bottomless mimosas) or lunch. My favorites here include the caramel latte and dirty chai latte and the chicken biscuit. While they have a variety of cozy seating options, students will love that they have private study nooks for those cram sessions when they want to get off campus.

Quaint, hip place with not only excellent coffee and food, but accommodating for food allergies. Staff very knowledgeable of cross- contamination and go out of their way to make the customer feel welcomed!

I'm so glad I found this place. The breakfast wrap might be the best thing I've ever eaten for breakfast. I look forward to I now even time I'm in Jackson. And their coffee is great too.

Great coffee and great atmosphere.

Overall, the ambience factor is very appealing. The fun abstract walls, contemporary seating, and Christmas lights really makes the place feel homey. My friends and I loved getting to sit and talk, but it was rather cold inside. We actually had to leave to enjoy our drinks in the car because of how cold it was. My friend ordered a latte which she really enjoyed and the other friend ordered hot chocolate which wasn't anything special, just powder and water. I ordered a caramel frappachino which was pretty good, I'm just not a coffee person so it wasn't my favorite. Hope this helped! Make sure to #supportlocal

The Bean has been recently renovated and offers a great array of food and beverages including coffee, espresso drinks, wine, and beer as well as breakfast cooked fresh daily. The new renovations include fresh bathrooms and preserves the best part of its location, the deck. From there you can order drinks and people watch all the activity in Fondren. Highly recommend!

I'm here to talk about The Bean's breakfast wrap, add potatoes. Crispy bacon, fluffy scrambled eggs, fresh guacamole, and a cup of salsa on the side, for a fair price of 5.50. Best breakfast spot in Fondren with a friendly staff. Busy, hip spot with multiple private seating areas.
