They don't call it the best stop for no reason.

Have been coming here since I was a kid. Everything I pass through town I stop and get fresh sausage and budin.

The food is always good but that was my last visit. They are way out of hand with how much they have raised their prices over the last few years. They have too much competition within half a mile for them to think their product is worth the ridiculous price they are charging

Pepper Jack Boudin Balls, where have you been all my life?! These things are serious trouble. They are bigger than the regular boudin balls and filled with more flavor! Crunchy on the outside and gooey on the inside. This place also has some delicious cracklins both chicken and pork. It truly was a great stop, a bit off the major highway but worth making the detour.

I've tried all the boudin in the area and it's absolutely the best.

I am only giving this rating 3 stars, because of the way I was treated by an employee. I wanted to get some Andouille sausage and shrimp. I couldn’t find any frozen shrimp like I had in past visits so I asked for some help. She told me they never carried shrimp. I said oh yes you did, it was small, shelled, and frozen. I always used it for shrimp n grits. She tried to tell me, maybe it was another store, etc. Basically like I was a lunatic for even thinking they had shrimp. Maybe I should have told her I had been coming there long before they expanded their store., probably before she was even born. So other than the sausage, it was a very disappointing trip to travel through southern Louisiana and not get any shrimp.

Didn't know about this place but now that I do I'm stopping every trip

Stopped here a few years ago when driving through and then forgot the name. I've been trying to remember ever since! Awesome food, going to make this a regular stop when driving through.

Best Stop has some of the best boudin around. The smoked boudin is something special and is my favorite. It has a nice snap when you bite into it and the perfect amount of heat. I highly recommend you try it. I also enjoy their garlic signature seasoning and like to grab a container any time we pass through. I also love the cracklins. As someone from Texas, you just can't find cracklins anywhere but Louisiana and Best Stop makes my favorite.

We were told to stop by here, and we are so glad we did. The food was excellent. Them little places you might think you don't want to go to, but they are the best places to go. Watch all the locals go in.

We’ve tried other Boudain and this is our all time favorite. The Boudain Balls are out of this world and the stuffed pork chops are amazing! We haven’t gotten anything that was not delicious from Best Stop. Go get ye some!

Delicious fried porkchops! Excellent Boudin! Cracklins are fantastic! Prices are a little higher than usual, however you are definitely getting good quality for your money. I always stop by when I drive through. I highly recommend you stop by and check them out.

We came in for a quick stop on our road trip, and didn’t expect to have some of the best boudin of our lives! It was delicious and had a little kick, too. The cracklin was top notch as well. Would recommend Best Stop to anyone.

Im from Texas and I heard about this place. So once we arrived to LA we went straight to it. Loved the boudin balls, and they sell cake slices that are so creamy (delicious) the pecan, caramel one was the one I tried. also Very friendly staff.

We buy the smoked boudin at Rouses all the time but this was our first time coming here. Tried pork cracklins for the first time and loved them. I think the highlight for me was the deer and brisket sausage tho. Probably one of the best sausages I’ve ever had!!! Everyone in the store was so friendly too.

I got the cracklins. They were super hard , I had to throw them away. Flavor was ok but I was chewing on a piece for like 3-4 minutes before I could get it down, at one point I thought about spitting it out.

After being a Best Stop enthusiast I’ve been let down today. Rather than being properly welcomed with the expected good old southern hospitality, my husband and I were met with racism by ignorant and classless workers. Due to that we did not feel comfortable enough to buy anything. I feel awful because I was raving about how great your food and products were and expected to be treated normally, but because he’s of a different race we were greeted with a very different “hello” accompanied by giggles of workers that didn’t step into the situation. Neither my husband nor I wish any bad on the workers, we hope they learn, grow, and prosper. As a fan of the company I feel disappointed that I didn’t get to share my love for it with my significant other, especially when I’m pregnant and craving. This situation really has me torn and it’s an unfortunate reality where I have to order from your location and wait three days so that he could taste it when we were just there about three hours ago. I don’t even know if he’ll even be open to trying it because this occurrence has left him with a bad taste in his mouth.

They have the meatiest buodin around. Its not ground to mush. Great spices and flavor.

The day I stopped at The Best Stop in Scott, LA (driving to my hometown in South Louisiana from Houston, TX), I went in and got a boudin ball biscuit (delish!), 4 packages of tasso and three links of smoked boudin (God touched these). I got to the register, and realized my wallet was not in my purse. I panicked! I was embarrassed and afraid that I left it at home, or a gas station or that I'd been robbed without knowing it! A Good Samaritan in the store paid for my order. I cried and prayed all the way to my car. My prayers were answered when I found my wallet on the passenger seat! I ran back in the store and paid the stranger back. The food AND the people here are sooooo good!

This place has great boudin and meat. When I go to Louisiana I make sure to stop here for breakfast and lunch. They also have a website where you can order online for out of state.

We always stop here when we pass through Scott, La. The Boudin is awesome. The egg rolls are delicious, and I can not forget about the hog crackling. The staff is always friendly and helpful. I have never been disappointed going to this location. I really like Best Stop a whole lot better than Billy's, but I learned you stir up trouble giving your honest opinion, lol. Like I always say, everyone has the right to their own opinions, but you get no judgment from me end the end I'm choosing The Best Stop they definitely chose the right name because it was the best stop we made in Scott.

This place has some of the best food ever. Their andoule, lasso, sausage, stuffed pork chops, deboned and stuffed chicken, and boudin are all must tries. Fresh pork and chicken cracklin is great as well. Staff is friendly and super helpful. Can't say enough about how great this place is.

CARENCRO: A bit disappointed. I grew up eating Best Stop in Scott and I'm very happy for the company with all of the recent growth! The hubs and I have visited the Carencro location a few times since they've opened and we've been disappointed when purchasing ready to eat products such as the mild links. I'm not sure if it's the method that it is cooked but I always feel like it'd been sitting in the warmer too long or it's being smoked instead of boiled. Also, the last time we visited, the rice was hard. Now, don't get me wrong, the staff is friendly, the location is great for where we live and the frozen options, like the stuffed meats and breads are great! However, I definitely prefer ordering my mild boudin links (and other ready to eat foods) from the Scott and Broussard locations where I might have to wait, but it's hot and fresh!
