Lots of fun and very good music

Well we finally were able to try this place, OMG, everyone you need to go, service is wonderful, everyone is absolutely amazing and the drinks are awesome, tasty, unique, atmosphere equally awesome... This is a great addition to Sanford... Awesome job guy's, best of luck to you...

Service was a little slow but they were pretty busy. Cocktails were all great but definitely on the pricey side. Nice spot to go for a once in awhile treat.

Absolutely great service and all around better experience than the first bar we went to this evening. I always bring new people to experience Sanfording. It’s never hit or miss here. The bartenders are on point. They are professional and friendly and provide great service. If you’re looking for the best craft cocktails in Sanford look no further and don’t waste your time and money down the street. They are very tentative fun and just an overall great experience! I will highly recommend this place to all my friends and family.

This place is amazing! It is a specialty cocktail place with the coolest vibe and atmosphere! Lionel and Mikey were the best! This is not your “typical” bar! If you are looking for an experience then come here!! Best and coolest drinks!

My absolute favorite bar in Sanford. The barstaff is phenomenal and the owner is such a delight to talk to every time I come in. The drinks are fabulous and so well crafted.

Know the owners and a lot of the staff. I wish we had a place like this closer. Definitely recommend. The craft cocktails are like you've never had before. Super recommend the Capital Room! If you don't go, you're missing out!

This is a great spot for mature adults. They serve cocktails made from spirits that are 100% organic. Most, if not all, of their spirits are from small minority owned companies. Lionel, the face of the place, is truly a gem. He goes above and beyond to ensure the satisfaction of the patrons.

Lionel and his staff are absolutely amazing. Their friendliness and creativity are truly inspiring. Sanford has long needed a upscale place like the Capital Room to relax and enjoy with friends.

Perfect Bar Service. Perfect. “Taz” forgive me if name is wrong is a true professional. Knowledgeable, polite and attentive. We will be regulars here now. Great ambiance (although some light music would make it better) tastefully done and very relaxing and enjoyable. A great addition to downtown. Hopefully a future institution in Sanford. Love it!

The Capitol Room was our 2nd stop on my birthday bar hop and it didn't disappoint. The owner assisted in setting up a group table for us and took care of our orders. Drinks were good and reasonably priced.

What an unfortunate experience we had tonight after visiting this seemingly upscale establishment. This place has a wonderful atmosphere and while the rest of the staff was perfectly accommodating Gabriel will be the reason I personally never come back. From the moment we sat down Gabriel made sure to let us know that at 1am they're doing last call - no problem, "it sounds like we made it just in time", I said with a smile. After waiting our turn to place an order we asked Gabriel if we could please have two Long Islands and after a few moments he returned saying that they don't serve those. I turned to the menu to look for an alternative and suggested that they add that to the menu in the future, and without missing a beat this employee looks right at me and says, "well you don't have to be here and can just go somewhere else". I've never been so disrespected by a "professional" in my life, and immediately got up to leave because he was absolutely right. Before leaving I asked for his name, to which he responded, "don't worry about it". At this point I've now become upset and asked to speak with the manager, and Gabriel decides to leave the floor and retreat to the back of the house. I asked a coworker for his name and to please get the manager, and she was very polite and professional in doing so - however rather than making a scene and letting an utterly rude employee ruin a perfectly good night, we left without furthering the situation. Management, having an employee tell customers they don't need to be there and can go somewhere else simply for wishing you served their favorite drink, is not okay. You've lost one customer tonight, and I truly hope this raises awareness so that others do not have to have the same experience.

Greate service and great drinks! Love any bar that has a passion for knowing how to make custom made cocktails.

We happened to come across this place accidentally while walking around Downtown Sanford. We loved the concept and the bartenders were extremely friendly and helpful. The bartenders put a lot into making their drink menu. This is probably one of our new favorite spots. We ordered The Cartel Experience, The Industrialist, and The Conservative Lady.

Bartender was nice and attentive. Enjoyed sitting at the bar watching the skills it takes to make some delicious 🍸 🍹 Will definitely return to try other drinks.

What a unique little place, kinda gives speak easy vibes but no pw required. Unique delicious drinks as well as some classics.

The staff is amazing, love the vibe there, but especially the make the best cocktails.

The PROS...the vibes were lit. We loved it. The music was nice and not too loud. We could have a conversation without yelling over one another, and the service was great. The CONS...the empanadas were only cheese, no chicken in sight. And it was bland. Looked like egg rolls more than empanadas. There are only 4 items on the tapas menu, and this did not give me hope that the other things would taste any better. The espresso martini signature cocktail was absolutely TERRIBLE! It tasted like old stale coffee with alcohol- we sent it back.

We came in here several weeks ago to try this place out. Unfortunately, 2e cut our evening short due to loud music we were unaware of. We met Michael, he was very warm and understanding. Our servers (sisters), were friendly and knowledgeable of the menu. Fast forward 3 weeks, we come in for Friday night date and meet Lionel. He remembered us from 3 weeks ago, where we sat and what we drank. The entire staff is friendly, and efficient. We will be returning customers for sure!!!

1/5/2024 Just had drinks so can't rate the food. The bar was decorated nicely for the holidays and they had a number of special cocktails for the season. It has a very capitalistic theme, which I'm not typically down with but no one got politically pushy, so that was fine. I'm sure Elon would like the portraits ;-) I don't get to Stanford often but if I'm in the area I'd be willing to go back.

Ohhh, since Google asked... Been many times, usually good, great spot and atmosphere, and always nice service. The holiday drink menu however was at best a mediocre execution of so so recipes, we were disappointed 3x 😢😢😢. Stick to the usual classic drinks, they have some good ones. Note to proprietor, don't serve sub-par drinks at above par prices.

We have tested out the Capital Room several times since they have opened within the last couple of months. The drinks here are ALWAYS fabulous. They have a solid base menu with a new seasonal menu every month or so. The atmosphere is perfect and laid back. The place is exceptionally-well decorated for Christmas now, too! This is really a hidden gem of Sandord - it's not the place to come in for a beer on tap when you're in a rush, but a place to hang out, chat with Alan or one of the other hilarious bartenders, and enjoy every drop of your tasty drink. I highly recommend them!

Absolutely love this place. The drinks are the best around. Alan is hilarious and personable. This is the hidden gem of Sanford. Their basic menu is fabulous, their seasonal menus constantly change and are always great, and the bartenders will work with you to find something you'll like.

FINALLY!… A bar that doesn’t serve that god awful Tito’s Vodka Wonderful cocktails, enthusiastic staff, classy decor, and upbeat lounge music infused into one immaculate craft cocktail experience The Capital Room is a must visit for anyone in Central Florida and beyond

Hailey recommended us the social detox. This family owned is your must stop during any season especially around Christmas. No one does it like them. “No hall is left undecked”-JS I do recommend a live pianist though their streaming system sound quality had us fooled into thinking there was live music in the vicinity. We were blessed to be here during their first annual christmas light reveal. If I haven’t convinced you yet then their highly technologically advanced mood lighting system really sets the tone for the evening allowing a “ custom” tailored experience for each and every patron. By far the best whiskey sour I have ever had.

This was a surprising but incredibly delightful experience. My wife and I occasionally venture from chaotic and hectic Orlando to the quaint surrounding areas. This time, we discovered the newly opening Capital Room in Sanford during a walk by. The window view decor caught my attention, so I encouraged my wife to check it out with me due to sheer curiosity. I was pleasantly rewarded by a great ambiance and welcoming energy. Staff and owner were very friendly and personable, giving a neighborly vibe. No food options yet, but the cocktails were absolutely fantastic (prices weren't bad either!). Will definitely return.

Very well made cocktails. We went in after having dinner nearby and the bartender did a tremendous job making our very tasty cocktails. We will be back.

The Capital Room is a wonderful place. Great Energy. Upscale, dress-up worthy even just for drinks! What a fun night out with friends. Shirt and tie/dress and heels! Looking forward to experiencing the full dining experience! The acoustics allow one to speak across the table comfortably! Lionel was interactive and welcoming as were his staff.

The bartender, Caz, is an absolute delight and so entertaining to watch! Caz is dashing and eloquent! Love the drinks and I was honored to try some test food for them. Cannot wait for them to have their grand opening and show everyone what they can do!

A new place that recently opened in Sanford. Extremely enjoyable, service was amazing. The drinks were delicious, a nice variety to choose from. I am looking forward to returning here.

My wife and I enjoyed the soft-opening they had and it was amazing. Drinks, bartenders and all staff member were really welcoming. We had the opportunity to meet the owner. Fantastic guy. You'll see us again.

10/10 Textbook perfect cocktails. Caz can shake a great whiskey sour, with or without egg whites btw, and Summer and Tamera give phenomenal service.

The Vibe is awesome and the cocktails are sooooo good. Cas is amazing this is my new favorite spot .

Great cocktail bar. Friendly passionate service with meticulous care making drinks. Tapas food coming soon. Recommend "The Industrial" if you can handle a coffee kick. "The Conservative Lady" is a great gin based drink as well! And you should really try the signature "El Cartel" Everything is made in house from syrups to cherries.

A great addition to the downtown Sanford area! Drinks were creative. Bar was beautiful. Spoke to management and bartenders who were happy to explain the concept, the drinks, and what's to come. Backroom area seemed a little bit of a departure from the rest of the concept, but I'm excited to see what's to come in terms of food etc. Will definitely make this a regular stop in our Sanfording.
