We were out of town, but found this place on a recommendation from locals and we're glad we ate there. Everything we ordered was delicious. The service was fantastic and the owner was very friendly. It's a small restaurant, so there might be a wait to be seated, but worth the wait.

Cook's Corner is simply lovely. Honestly no more should need to be said of the place, but I'm guessing if you're reading this you'd like to know more. The staff is kind courteous and certainly skilled! The food is top teir and made with love! And the whole place feels like Thanksgiving dinner with family and friends! I've only ever ordered off the specials and I've never regretted it!

My boyfriend and I just left for lunch and it was AMAZING!!! Fresh and Homemade, you can really tell they care!! We are STOKED to have a new place to eat! Everything in the restaurant was SUPER CLEAN!! THANK YOU for such a GREAT EXPERIENCE!

Excellent service, excellent food

There's so much I could say about this hidden little gem. Everything, and I mean EVERYTHING here was fantastic. The interior was very clean, quiet and cozy. We were greeted immediately upon entering and they allowed us to sit wherever we wanted. Their menu has a LOT of options, especially when considering special dishes. We opted to start with the Thai Spring rolls which were delicious. Four our entrees we got the Penne Alla Vodka with Chicken and garlic bread, and the Fried Haddock with mashed potatoes and beets. Everything tasted super fresh and was very flavorful without being salty or greasy. We couldn't stop savoring the food. We did try some of their desserts, but unfortunately we didn't get any photos. We got the German Chocolate Cake and the Peach Struesel, both of which were absolutely delicious. Literally ALL the food we got was marvelous; an easy 12/10. Also, the portions are HUGE! Be aware that they don't serve any alcoholic beverages here. Honestly, I like that they don't, as it makes things much easier in terms of ordering. I usually try to pair my alcoholic drinks with my food, so it's less to worry about, especially with the casual atmosphere they have set up. The waiter service here was fantastic and quick, and we never felt rushed or pressured while ordering and dining. For what we paid, we were stuffed to the brim and still took plenty of leftovers with us. If I had to point out anything potentially wrong with this restaurant, I would say that their exterior should have a big sign or some way to grab the attention of a passing car. It was a little too plain for our tastes, but honestly that's just trying to find issues, because we had absolutely no issues whatsoever. This place is a MUST if you're in the area in Pennsylvania, and I'm planning to drive all the way from Westchester, NY to eat here again. It's THAT good.

I don’t live too far from here, and love coming here when I get a chance. The food is great, pricing is amazing, and the people are awesome!

We were looking for a place off the strip and found this home style restaurant/ diner. It was ♿ accessible even with a booth that I could pull up to. Makes for fun with the family instead of always having to take a table. The service was extremely fast, less than 10 minutes after ordering we had food. It was delicious. The chicken fingers and fries were good for our son. My wife got the cheese steak which was good, especially for the area. We had just come up from Philly so the bar was high. We could tell they used quality beef. I had the hot roast beef sandwich with gravy and mashed potatoes. Excellent. Really top notch and it was easily the best dish we had. Parking is easy, bathrooms a little tight for a manual wheelchair.

This place knows how to make people HAPPY and well fed. My wife and I came here today and were BLOWN AWAY!!!!! The 2 apps (Cheese Curds and Fried Pickles) were great. Our meals (See pictures below) were AMAZING and portion sizes are STUPENDOUS!!! They even had a sugar free option for dessert for my wife which happens very rarely. Felt like I ate a 5 course meal. The waitress Mandy was as GREAT as the food. My wife and I both said she made us feel like we knew her for years. My glass never was empty and even gave us suggestions that were AWESOME!!!! I live less then 10 minutes away from this place and can't wait to go back. Will definitely be regulars here.

Not a huge fan of scrapple, but theres was good. Fast ,friendly and reasonably priced. Met one of the owners, she was super sweet.

Cooks corner restaurant is amazing! They recently catered my wedding and people cannot stop talking about the food!! As the bride I was very busy, but I never once had to worry about what was going on with food service. They were on it! I highly recommend stopping by their restaurant, or employing their catering services for your future events. It was truly a masterpiece!! Cannot thank dave and his staff enough.

I've been to Cook's almost a dozen times now and always loved it. The food is good and we usually have the same waitress that is super friendly. I know this is a little ridiculous to be annoyed about, but, I had a different waitress most recently and I was a little disappointed over the attitude that I got from both her and the one cook/chef (not the older owner chef), over a side of chipotle ranch! I had gotten it the previous times and never had an issue. Last night the lady tells me first they don't have it, and I said are you sure? I've gotten it here every time previously, it's even included on the one special. Then she says that it's homemade, and they don't give it out unless with the special.. but she can go ask the chef if they will. I can see he shakes his head at first then I guess agreed to do it. The waitress comes back and says "he'll do it, but he gave me an eyeroll when I asked." ???? Like I said, I had gotten it before and assumed it was just like any other condiment you order. The attitude from both people was unnecessary, if they would've just said it comes with the special then I would've let it go.

Restaurant was immaculate. Food was delicious. Best breakfast around. Servers very attentive.

I've had their catering several times, but tonight was my first time dining in house. Staff is VERY friendly and attentive. We ordered the eggplant rollatine special and the crabcakes special. And then had dessert as well. Neopolatin cake and strawberry almond danish cake. Highly recommend.

5/5/24 first time here. Been driving past this place for awhile... Figured we should try it. We met friends here, had to wait outside for all to arrive before we could be seated. Service was really good and friendly. The food was good, Starter salad was a nice portion & fresh. Friends had the salmon special and they liked it. The GF had mac n cheese for a side, I tried it & we concluded that it had no flavor, bummer. I had the penne with chicken, it was good, although i prefer my pasta al dente, it had decent flavors in the dish and a big portion. Garlic bread had too much oil or butter for my preference. The potato rolls are a nice touch, wish they were warmed. For dessert i had the apple spice cake, it was good and was a huge portion. $2. Corkage fee per bottle or 6-pack. So bring box wine or tall boys... I'm sure at some point we will return to try other dishes. It's a nice spot with good people and prices. Certainly worth a meal or two-

This review is based on dining in 2 times, in a row on separate days... We of course aren't regulars but are considered Pennsylvania residents and visiting and on vacation we saw lots of good reviews and thought we'd try them out. Everything we ordered for lunch was great and prices were reasonable the chicken cheese steak was just right cheese completely melted and we decided there was a good bit on the menu we wanted to try we each ordered soup and an appetizer and got the cheese steak we always review menu and for our reference take a picture. We took notice to lots of rules with "no shared drinks" and no where did we see anywhere u can't share food my personal opinion sometimes, not all customers are out to share everything and not all customers are trying to get things for free. When you order apps and soup then of course sometimes one entree item is all you need some people actually believe in trying to not waste food. Fast forward to next day we tried breakfast once we got seated a table was seated ahead of us and also behind us they both got waited on first most likely because they are locals. 5 tickets were ahead of us that shouldn't happen every customer should be treated equally. Also heads up if you order a breakfast sandwich and your waitress asks you what kind of bread you want but then you're charged an extra charge not knowing or being told anything. Long story short where we live in Pennsylvania you won't experience these hidden charges and non sense charges for "sharing" I'm all about supporting local small businesses but also you have to be for the customer and if it wasn't for paying customers you wouldn't have a business.

A fantastic little restaurant. Great food, friendly staff, quick service - this is the kind of place we need more of and seem to have less and less of these days.

Heard about this place when I was in MCTI so I decided to go out and try it with some friends . One thing I can say about this place is that it’s very affordable, reasonable so please don’t go their expecting top quality. The service was excellent , very nice and quick . However , I was not interested in the food at all. The French toast was very eggy. Atleast mask the batter with cinnamon and some vanilla flavor to make it taste good but it tasted like eggs on top of toast . The pancakes , very limited ( don’t have no fruit , only blueberries) were decent . They were crispy around the edges but were chewy in the middle so to each their own. I ended up buying a marble cake with ganache since they do have a good dessert selection. I paid $6 for a box cake that tasted 3 days old. Some of the pieces were harder than some parts. Wasn’t my type at all and wouldn’t come back again but won’t complain because the cost of the food wasnt expensive at all.

Cozy place with great homemade food

My friends and family stopped here after Snow Tubing at Camelback. We looked up restaurants nearby, the Cooks Corner stood out the most. We arrived 1.5 hours before close and the staff were very welcoming. Our waitress Mandy was by far one of the best waiters we ever had. She joked with us, was very kind and just full of great energy. We had a group of 12. The food was really good. I had the cheesesteak sandwich and my sis in law ordered the penne 😋. All in all 10 out 10 experience and vibes. Cute and cozy place.

The food is ok, not many choices. What i really don't like is that they are charging $5 if you share your food. The portions are big, can be easily shared by 2 people, or even 3. Every time ended up taking food home and throwing it the next day. Are they even allowed to apply that charge? Never seen it anywhere else.

The waitresses are absolutely the most gorgeous in the universe!!

My wife and I ate here with our baby last night. We ordered the pork schnitzel and chicken Frances. For sides, we had the chicken veggie orzo soup, a baked potato, and the zucchini. All of the food was excellent. Usually when we go out, our 1 year old is very good at restaurants, but midway through our mea, he was loud and not pleasant because he’s teething. Even one of the patrons pointed out his swollen cheeks. My wife and I were embarrassed though because he was disturbing everyone at the restaurant. The staff was so kind, so warm and so accommodating. They told us not to worry, but we decided to pack up our food and take it back to the hotel. Our kid was def not himself all night. He was obviously in pain. Anyway, I would absolutely go back to Cook’s if we come back to town, and really appreciate how they handled our tough situation. Hopefully next time our boy is feeling good and will be his fun self so the staff could really enjoy his presence.

Our favorite restaurant! They seem to be busiest between 5-7 and typically have a waiting list, but the short wait is well worth it! The food never disappoints and their desserts are delicious! The staff is friendly and attentive. I'd highly recommend!

This place is a little hidden gem. The food is absolutely fresh and delicious every single time I come here. They have the BEST onion rings I've ever had in my entire life, they are hand made. Cozy place to eat, pretty much home cooking. They have a nice menu selection, desserts, ice cream, daily specials, lots of side to choose from. It is a great little local place to go. Great staff, very friendly. Smaller place, so you might have to wait a bit when you get there. Parking lot is a but awkward, so be patient.

What a wonderful, hidden gem on the back roads of the Poconos. We saw this quaint family restaurant on our way to a nearby antique store (Back Roads Antiques), and immediately bookmarked it as our lunch spot. Walking in, it looks like a typical, average, small diner. But it's anything BUT average. The menu isn't huge, but gives you more than enough options to satisfy most people. After a few minutes of looking, I chose an old favorite - the hot roast beef sandwich with gravy (and one side). I picked french fries since I LOVE gravy fries. Keep in mind that I'm pushing 60 and have had more than my fair share of this plate over the years when I say that it was, without a doubt, the BEST hot roast beef sandwich I've ever had! The roast beef was tender and piled high in the bread. The gravy was fantastic! The fries crispy. This was a true homemade sandwich. Which leads me to point out that EVERYTHING on the menu is homemade. My wife had the roast beef croissant and loved it! For desert I had a slice of homemade apple pie, which was awesome, but was overshadowed by the strawberry bread pudding that my wife chose. INCREDIBLE!! So now that you know that the food is to die for, let's talk about the staff. Our waitress was nothing short of stellar, greeting us promptly and making sure to get our order in ahead of a party of six so we wouldn't have a long wait for our food. It's little things like that that make the difference between a good server and a great server. She, along with the hostess, checked on us multiple times throughout the meal, making sure we had everything we needed and clearing our plates promptly when finished. Both we very nice and easy to converse with, and my wife and I enjoyed the conversations we had with both. At the end of our meal, the check was set on the table without delay, allowing us to leave when ready. In summary, this wonderful little restaurant is a MUST stop if you are in the Tannersville area. It may not look like anything special from the outside, but it is by far one of the best family restaurants I've ever had the pleasure to dine in.

What a gem of a place! Has the look of a little diner but surprises you with a proper fine dining menu at very reasonable prices. Had the bbq pork loin chops, so tender and well seasoned, absolutely delicious. Service was so friendly as well, made for a great experience. If I lived closer, this would be a great restaurant to go to regularly.

Friendly staff. We came here expecting them to have all day breakfast but they do not so be aware of that. We showed up around 3pm. A party of two. My friend ordered a open faced roast beef manhattan and I ordered the chicken fingers. The mashed potatoes and gravy were really good here. We also tried the mozzarella and it was interesting. They deep fry a grilled cheese. It could have used more seasoning or cheeses. The chicken tenders were really good and hand breaded and the buffalo sauce with them was very tasty. This is kind of a small space so it can be a little tight if you're big or tall.

Went for breakfast with the family we all left full and satisfied.

Outstanding! (Both the food and service.) My husband and I got there 10 min before closing (we didn’t note the closing time before heading out) and they still seated us! No one acted annoyed or inconvenienced.. the food was exceptional! It tasted like a home cooked meal. Even the iced tea was perfect. Additionally, our waitress was kind and made sure we had everything we needed until the end (again without trying to rush us.) I’d come back here anytime we’re in the area!
